This is the worst service I ever had. The owner is a stonehead. She wouldn't give me the food because I "haven't confirmed the order" even though I already confirmed it and she saw me while I was conforming but because it haven't updated on her side yet she refused to give me the order. I tried to explain to her multiple time but she just decided to ignore me. She lost me time/money when I was on the job.

Not bad at all. The food arrived to my room hot and fresh off the griddle. The rice was plentiful and delicious. Not over sauced at all. Alot of places add sauce while preparing the meal and it is way way overpowering But not this. It was full plates and fresh. Well seasoned and again hot. I ordered a combo plate. Fried rice with Teriyaki chicken and beef and vegetables half and half. Again, this was so so good and plentiful. Had enough for lunch the next day. 4 out of 5 on this one. I would have liked to have seen the full portion of the plate used for the entrees and the small sections used for the rice.

First time ordering, and last, cathay house was closed so.orderered two combo plates and a dozen egg rolls, egg rolls had an odd smell and taste, horrid, the chicken balls were saturated in sour sauce and were mainly just dough, the rice was tasteless and the generak toa chicken was pieces of fat and skin, also horrid.it was a lesson learnt.gabriels pizza would of been better. CATHAY HOUSE, much much better qaulity.waste of money

Easily one of the best places for food in Ottawa. Such a sweet and kind couple that always provides the best service and food quality. My partner and I have visited there before and the food is always fresh and just warm enough to be ready for eating, while not too hot to burn your tongue. The portion size is extremely large and generous, worth every penny easily. A fantastic place to get food and a great couple you will meet in the process!

I just ordered from Uber Eats. The food is nice but I didn't get to eat bcs there was no cutlery. Please endeavor to put that next time. Thank you

I never leave reviews. Don't believe any negative reviews. My go to. Massive amounts, fantastic quality. Highly recommend.

I ordered beef fly flat noodle with black bean sauce.good quantity but beef is not flesh and smell bad.

This is the first time I have ordered from New Hong Kong and I'm very impressed. I ordered the #11 Vegetarian Combo Plate and it was a huge portion, so fresh and cooked perfectly. They were very generous with the tofu too. The tofu was the best I've had, tofu at other places is often sour or bitter. A great deal at $14.50.

My sister recommended this place and I tried it the other night… it wasn’t greedy and I found it super tasty. I Just ordered for a second time but the lady is so sweet at the front, it’s hard to understand her sometimes but still she’s very nice. I decided to come back and order for me and my partner! Will definitely be coming back.

Pasty egg rolls. Sweet & sour soup tasted like bbq sauce…
Overall quality is not good.

Placed order for birthday 3 hours ahead for pickup. Get there & not ready or even started. No apology, no discount. Called after because there was an item missing and was hung up on twice after being yelled at. Food is mediocre at best, but customer service is 0/10. Cathay is much better and friendlier.

Honestly this is one of my family's favourite places to get food. It can take some time to get it, but it makes sense - it's all made fresh.
The food is tasty and the portions are huge.
Lady who answers the phone is always energetic and nice. She has impeccable memory, it's been many years since we last ordered but she knew the name anyway

Worst place on the planet.

Much like everyone who gave one stars the woman who takes the orders is rude, disrespectful and aggressive.

I ask simple questions about their online orders being different from the price she gave me and she hangs up on me…

I go in cause I’m not gonna be disrespected and the rudeness she had was very clear! I gave her the same treatment, she told me to leave.

Do not! I repeat do not order from here! If their customer service is trash, who knows what their food would be like.

Wow. Amazing quality of ingredients, and incredible flavours. The egg rolls were exceptional, with aromas the second a bite was taken like ginger and nutmeg. The texture was also on point.

Poor service, no dine-in. I originally needed to order a mapo tofu rice bowl for 13 dollars, but it was recorded as 13.5 dollars. When I asked questions, I said I would not do this business. Wonderful.

Horrible customer service. Paid for delivery on their website and the owner told me to come pick it up after I paid since they don't deliver anymore (lie). After telling her I wouldn't be able to come in person since I don't have a car on hand she started screaming at me saying it's my fault and eventually hung up on me after she finished throwing her tantrum. Food isn't even good, just large portions. Don't waste your time or money.
