New Tecumseth Public Library

Very disappointed of this library. Generally speaking the worst library I ever been in the Simcoe Country Area. Very loud, you can't use a computer there because the minute you turn around there again more rackets, children running wildly, people chatting on their phones like we want to know their lives, staff have no rules, they say nothing, absolutely nothing, very shameful, very shameful,, chairs, spaces have been taken by homeless people, the outside area is the common gathering of homeless people, swearing, smoking, looks dirty, just not a place I would take my children.a complete disaster, just unreal!

Lovely place to work and staff are always friendly and welcoming. Unfortunate that the children’s area is almost always in use by -not- children, and can sometimes be a little disruptive to other patrons.

Such an enjoyable experience! The employees are very kind and helpful and when the book I was looking for was at another newtec library, they had a copy transferred and I was picking it up the following morning! Just was wondering if there is a way for me to search the library online for a specific book and reserve it for pick up?

Small town library so don't expect much. Nevertheless, it has a good collection of books. They also have activities and events almost every week, so follow them online to keep up to date. Make sure to support your local libraries, and never stop learning.

There is a lack of representation in the library and a lack of resources. By lack of representation I mean that there is a lack of diversity. By lack of resources I mean that there is very little that the library can do or does for its patrons.

The staff at the library are kind and the space is clean but there are not enough books by BIPOC, Indigenous, LGB, TQ+, and other diverse authors.

Gone are the days where libraries were supposed to be silent. Better than the Tottenham library but still more of a daycare than a library. Noisy, no places to get peace and silence

The most calming place I go in my day. The employees are the best. So helpful with everything & anything.
