Rude staff (there’s two men standing over top of the women doing my nails) very uncomfortable!

I started going to New York Nails 2 yrs ago. Ken and Amy always made me feel welcome. I am sick and they would get me an extra pillow while i napped through my treatments. They were beyond kin and i looked forward to going. The new management are not friendly or kind like Ken and Amy. I felt awkward and the nail job i got was awful both times i weng back. They lied to me saying Ken was on vacation when in fact they had left. I watched 1 lady who had been coming to Ken and Amy for 30 yrs, break down and cry. I know that people move on but the reason the salon did so well was because the owners treated staff and clients like family. We liked when Ken teased us and made our days. I may even stop getting my nails done because it just isnt the same without Ken & Amy. New owners please smile at your customers, talk to us, go out of your way to be nice or you will find yourself with an empty salon. The new place i went to yesterday had 7 ex New York Nail clients and 1 ex staff migrate to them.

I am so disappointed and saddened at my most recent experience at this salon. My grandmother recently passed away, and we used to get our nails done here and they were awesome. Ken, the previous owner, even got her flowers and came to visit her in the hospital. I wasn’t aware that ken had sold the shop to new owners, so I decided to get my nails done, so I got a mani-pedi on my birthday, because I recently had a baby and hadn't had them done for awhile. I was expecting an awesome experience like before. I walked in and asked for something simple and left with nightmare nails.they also put shellac on my nails without permission, and I found that out by trying to remove my ugly nail art with nail polish remover.as well as I’ve only had them on for 6 days and they’re already starting to lift. I asked for colour and got told no, they gave me black instead. I ended up leaving with nails I didn’t want, and got charged $130.00 for the worst manicure and pedicure I’ve had in my life.even my toes got messed up. If you want a good manicure and pedicure, don’t go here.go to diamond nails. I never should have cheated on my nail salon. Over priced and terrible work. If I could give zero stars I would.

I don’t live in London, but this place had been highly recommended to me about a year ago, and back then I had a great experience. This time I went in for a pedicure + dip manicure and I was so disappointed. Come to find out, ownership has changed and this explains a lot. The technicians were nice, but very inexperienced, halfway through my dip manicure the woman admitted it was her first time doing dip. Then moving on to my pedicure I didn’t feel like it was done properly and then the polish was rushed and passed on to another person. Again, I’m sure they had the right intentions, but there is a lot of room for growth for this business in terms of customer service and highly trained/appropriate amount of staff.

Pedicure, was great, no complaints, manicure not so much, nails are not straight, ok but I will probably not go back. Staff is very kind, but English is not great.

New ownership now and it has a very different feel. Perhaps the technicians are just learning, but not worth the price of $45 for a pedicure. Several different people worked on me and I needed to point out mistakes. Hot towel was too hot. I would consider another place, especially if you have been a customer with previous ownership. You will be disappointed!

On Wednesday, May 31 I enter this establishment for the first and last time to get a manicure done for my prom.
My friend was met with arguments when she refused to allow them to put fake nails on her and then put shellac on her nails without permission.
I had grown my nails out and had naturally long, beautiful nails, which I received many compliments for, only to sit down at this woman’s workstation take out the clippers and proceed to cut off all my nails before I could say anything. Not even on my worst day were my nails short is what she cut them!
The lack of professionalism, in listening to the customer, arguing with a customer, this establishment clearly doesn’t know who is paying the bills!
Unfortunately, the owner of this establishment was in on this day and took the side of his staff over his customers who are literally paying his bills.
I didn’t ask for the services that I received and before I could do anything it was too late.
No apology, no professionalism, not a great experience.
If you want to go to an establishment that will walk all over you, this is the place to go!

Trust me this is worth the read my friend had already posted this and they took it down so i’m reposting it.

Do not trust these new staff to do your nails. A bit of a backstory; I’ve always visited this company for events or a pick me up as they never failed to provide great customer service and general service. Recently I was told that the company had been bought and the previous owner had left/was away, however, I figured I would keep my loyalty to the company and come in with my friend for our Prom nail appointment. Immediately, the atmosphere was different and less friendly as staff were straight to the point and rough with my friends pedicure. We still moved on to get a new acrylic set each with simple designs and everything was going smoothly. That was until they began shaping our nails and we both had to correct our nail technicians multiple times before we were happy with the shape… mind you, I am never one to overstep or be obnoxious with how I accept somebody’s work, however, this is an important event for us and it was important that they were just how we liked them. Once the shape was how we liked, we moved on to the painting and designs. Long story short; after plenty of correcting and questioning of their work, the technicians began to become very obviously impatient and annoyed when it could have been a simple job if they had listened to us or even looked at the photo. Safe to say I won’t be reccomending this place to anybody else in the future and they’ve lost a very loyal customer.

Always a warm environment and very well cared for every time. All the ladies go above and beyond to please each customer and that's why they have a great return clientele. Always a lovely experience and very relaxing

Always warm and welcoming, the staff are friendly, quick and competent. And the chairs massage while you get scraped and polished and beautified.

Very disappointed with my nails. I have sent a message to their Facebook and am still waiting on a reply.
