Tried calling/chatting with Newegg. Trying to buy large quantity. They're not responding - and now I'm scared they may screw up the order. In light of past written reviews and my current experience, I'll recommend to my company to boycott Newegg even though they promote decent pricing. Their website "ordering process" also leaves much to be desired. If their CEO or person in charge of marketing and sales wants to contact me, I'll be happy to give him/her some tips on improving "customer/sales relations".

Please stop using Purolator.
I pay for Express Shipping to never get it quick, and always have Purolator excuses such as todays which was weather delay at National Hub, however it is 16 degrees and clear in Toronto and Ottawa. “Express” from 5 hours away should be overnight for the price of express shipping, not 3-4 days with Jerkolater. In the US you use Fedex, I never had issues with you in US but Canada, a minor 5 hours away, Purolator constantly is issue. I will be buying else where until I know the awful shipping is addressed. “Sold And Shipped by Newegg” should be faster than market sellers in China, it isn’t.

Recently I've been thinking about that time I clicked on a checkbox that said "Free Item" and how it was used against me to withhold $55 from a product refund. This is when Google was giving every retailer a ton of these Alexa clones (Echo) out for free with other orders.

Well, it's free, why not, right? Problem was, I never received the product I ordered. I got the Alexa clone I didn't really care about, but not the original item. So I had to get a refund, but they took off $55 for the Echo!

To this day, Newegg has failed to send me a refund for the money they are currently withholding from me. There was no disclaimer stating that I would be held liable for a "FREE" item for $55. They gave me credit which I didn't bother using, I don't expect my next order to arrive, let alone come without hidden customer liabilities. I spent hours on chats when it happened but never got my money, so I eventually gave up.

I just wanted to repost my story for anyone thinking of buying from Newegg: don't!

This company ships valuable items with no signature required. I spent a couple thousand dollars and they split it into 3 shipments. 1 of them never arrived and they said @purolator confirmed it shipped. NEWEGG Refused to refund or replace and closed the case. I contacted puro & was told a trace was never requested. What liars!
This is not how companies should do business. I'm going to Better Business Bureau. How can the recipient be liable for them cheating out on insurance or signature required.

The computer arrived, but it was missing the keyboard that was supposed to come with it. When I messaged support, they were incredibly unhelpful. They basically told me that they couldn't just send me the keyboard separately, and all they were willing to do was refund $30 off my total purchase price (which was over $2,000!) I'm sorry, but if it was THEIR screw up not shipping me the correct parts, then they should be OBLIGATED to send me the missing items. I definitely will never shop here again.

BUYERS BEWARE!

This is what I got in a sealed box! Newegg is the worst company to deal with. BUYERS BEWARE. These jokes were all concerned and wanted to help, ask me for a police report which I did and wasted police resources on this matter only the receive an email telling me they weren’t going to do anything for me! Funny thing is my cameras at my house capture the package being dropped off then capture me opening the box inside my kitchen and clearly shows the contents when the sealed box was opened! The local police said this isn’t the only situation like this they have seen by Newegg shipments. This war isn’t over, stay tuned for yet another YouTube video soon on neweggs customer service.

Absolute dumpster fire. Ordered tens of thousands in the last couple of years from Newegg, but they seem to continue their "blame the customer because obviously they are lying and trying to steal from us" mentality. You will never get another penny from me. If you want defective and previously used parts that are sold as NEW or want to be treated as a thief, then buy from this company. I will buy from Memory Express or Amazon going forward. Newegg's eBay store is even worse.

Worst customer service ever. Didn’t get our parcel which cost 1500. Shipping policy said over 750 a signature is required. They told us only it is bought through PayPal. Bull the policy didn’t mention that. This company is money hungry and doesn’t have any respect for their customers. Beware condo and apartment buildings. They don’t care if you get your parcel. Our parcel was said left at the front door. What front door but Newegg doesn’t care that we didn’t get it. Never order from this company again.

Were at one time better if not the best computer parts store. Other sites improving ease of online commerce and convenience, they are making it worse.
I wouldn't have any issues with it if they were honest about it, don't need to lie about shipping estimates. If something isn't in stock don't sell it as such, if your warehouse is that messed don't advertise quick turnaround. Don't just create shipping labels for weeks so I can't cancel.

The worst service ever. They uesd to give a perfect service to customers. But, now, they were changed. Their shipping service which is Purolator is no security system. My girlfriend got shippment from South Korea earlier than me. She ordered her things later than me. Too poor service. Solution is that if they have stock, they will re-send it. If they do not have it, refund it. Fortunately, they never have it in their stock. I have wasted my time to wait my 6900xt for a month.

Never use this company.
Both Canada Computer and Newegg are garbage companies. They never care you guys get your item or not.only care about the money. Of course their service are the worst ever.

Aweful. Don't waste your time! I order a laptop before black Friday, take my money and inform me 9 days later they don't have the laptop! So I missed getting my laptop from other vendors because these guys can't get there act together.

Tried RMAing my ryzen 5 3600 after my mobo wouldn't recognise it. RMA was denied bc the pins were damaged thus ruining any chance of a refund or exchange. I was super careful installing the cpu, removing it, and packing it to be shipped so either it was damaged during transport, or newegg is trying to finesse their way out of refunding me or replacing my item. This is incredibly frustrating. The pic of the supposedly damaged cpu pins didn't really do anything to help their case and it looks like the pins are perfectly fine. Attached is the pic customer support sent me so I'd love for someone to show me where exactly the damaged pins are.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Reps know nothing. I called for support to return/exchange a faulty router. The customer service told me it’s within warranty and to contact the manufacturer asus.

Contacted asus and they said because I’ve got it within return period I should just return it and swap, newegg would send back to asus for refund.

I told newegg this and they said no. Clearly newegg didn’t want to deal with the hassle of paying for shipment or stocking. But if it’s within policy they should honour it.

Never buying from newegg again. Go Memory express or BestBuy!

They don't stand behind the products they sell. They are forcing me to deal directly with the manufacturer located in China. They seem to think it's perfectly fine to be without a functioning system for over a month while they figure out what is going on. The firmware that was installed from the factory turns out is not a version that is provided from Gigabyte. I'm also not able to update to a valid version as there is a hardware version conflict. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at Newegg anytime in the future.

Newegg is among the worst of the worst. They always have the worst price and they raise price more than everyone else when there's a stock crysis, they bundle things together and charge even higher price because you have no other choice, and they are probably the only retailer at this scale that still charges $6.99 for $2000+ items.

Beware - they do not honor their own policies! It is all just a sham!
Purchased a monitor that was supposedly protected by their price guarantee. They lowered the price a week later on the same item and flat out refused to honor their terms! I submitted a claim as instructed, sent multiple emails to follow-up (most not returned) and even had contact with a supervisor who stated that the item wasn't in stock (I had taken a screenshot of it showing full stock at the discounted price, this was ignored).

They didn't even try to refute my arguments that this was a valid claim, they just began ignoring me and stopped responding at all. For all the fuss I made they probably responded once or twice and that's it. And I had full on proof of my stances. It's only $50 but more that I feel cheated having bought from them when they clearly don't honor their own terms. I'd suggest buying somewhere else even if the price is a few dollars higher. No one should be helping these guys run such a dishonest business.

Had a 550$ CPU never arrive. I opened a claim to signal the issue, I waited almost 3 weeks and had to write back to find out what was going on. They said it was delivered so that's all they can do. Declined. I asked for what proof they had and all they did was check the tracking information. No actual investigation on their claims department took place.
Honestly, go elsewhere. This company is pure trash when it comes to customer service

I usually don't post reviews for businesses, but in this case, I think it's necessary to let others know. I bought a monitor from Newegg a few weeks ago (ViewSonic VX2458-MHD), and upon receiving, I noticed that there was a sticker covering what seemed to look like a shipping label. At first I simply ignored it and thought maybe it's the label that Newegg had to receive the monitor from ViewSonic, and carried on to install my monitor. Once all was plugged in (HDMI + power), I turned on the monitor and it seemed to work fine, except when I started trying to adjust the setting with the buttons. Out of the 5 buttons on the bottom right of the monitor, 3 of them were non-responsive, and simply didn't react to me pressing them. I wanted to set my monitor volume to 0 because I use a headset, but was only able to increase the volume, and set it to 100. Thankfully, I was able to mute the monitor, but it's still not acceptable. I contacted ViewSonic directly and they agreed to replace my monitor, but after looking at the box in which I got my monitor, I'm guessing that Newegg simply sent me a used and/or dysfunctional item while labelling it as new. Very unprofessional, especially since I contacted support before ordering to ensure that the product was new, and not in used condition, like certain reviews said.

DO NOT BUY FROM NEWEGG! Like a lot of other victims who left reviews, I placed an order and paid extra for expedited shipping but they take their sweet time to process and then the status shows just “label created” for days. Upon contacting their customer service they then tell you it takes up to 30 days to process, tough luck, bad attitude and raises their voices and tones on the customer. I tried through Online chat and phone customer service and all sound the same - rude and basically telling you screw you! As if they were taught to handle their customers this way. So now they have my money, thousands of dollars while they say they can’t do anything about it and I just need to wait endlessly. No products, no refunds, rude customer service, can I be more clear as to why you shouldn’t bother with this company?

Ordered a very expensive monitor from them. Suddenly the tracking updated to "left at front door". No doorbell rang, no call, nothing. Apparently the item was just left at the front door. After calling customer service they said they can't refund me or send a replacement, and I need to file a POLICE REPORT, because the item was too expensive. Let me get this straight - the item is too expensive to be refunded, but it was okay to leave it in the street without notifying me that it was delivered? I work from home, I have not left the house for 1 second the whole week and no delivery attempt was made. Customer service is useless, they can only copy-paste questions like "Have you checked with your roommates? Have you looked around in your neighbourhood? Have you asked your cat? Maybe the cat took your monitor? ". Do not buy from Newegg.

Customer Service is a joke. RMA'd a faulty product, was given no option for refund, a week after being told I'm getting a replacement, refund appears. No problem, unless you're stuck at home during a global pandemic with no working computer. Tone deaf apology messages without any inclination to do anything really do add insult to injury. Thank you Ian S. Will never be shopping here again.

Wow, so many bad reviews, what's wrong with those people? Most of them got stuff broken in shipping, that's not Newegg fault! There is also RMAs complaints. I once had a problem with a motherboard, they exchanged it, no question ask and no fees. Been using them for years, never had any problems. I buy from them because they are usually cheaper.

Worst experience! I have to choose ONE star regardless.one star that they don't even deserve!
Ordered a chair on Dec 7th and received a confirmation email stating my order was successful and will get a email in 1-3 days with an update. Credit card got charged! Followed up 4 times since without any replies! Called and the phone system is an absolute joke! 3 days before Christmas, they auto cancelled my order. This was a Christmas gift. I'm blown away on the lack of response from this company! Go buy elsewhere.even if you have to pay slightly more.

My first and last purchase with Newegg, I returned the laptop unopened due to receiving another. Newegg claims package was opened and charges me a $300 "restocking fee". They stole my money and can seemingly say anything they want to take this fee, with no recourse for me. It is a dirty game they are playing and the worst returns process I have ever seen in my life! I will never recommend this company for any purchase, they scammed me and might do the same to you. Take your money elsewhere, lots of better options like Visions, London Drugs, Best Buy (but not Canada Computers, they're also terrible).

Please do not make the same mistake I did. Take your business elsewhere. They have effectively robbed me of $500 after refusing to replace a DOA CPU. Customer service proceeds to gaslight me and run around in circles for hours. What a terrible experience. It seems to me like the majority of these 1 star reviewers do not understand how shipping and warranties work.

Concerned you may need to cancel an order after it's been placed? STOP. Do your duty as a consumer and read the return policy. This is your responsibility. ALL companies that sell retail products have a return policy because most consumers just assume they can buy things and return them whenever they like without any problems and at the expense of the retailer.

Worried about what might happen if the product you ordered doesn't work when it arrives? STOP. Read the warranty information for the product you're ordering. Don't destroy the packaging when you're opening your product - you'll more than likely need if you experience problems that require shipping stuff back to Newegg.

Be responsible and do your duty as a consumer. Research what you're purchasing before buying it online and you won't have any problems. Read the return and warranty policies and everything should be transparent. Do these simple things and you won't have any unexpected surprises.

I've had nothing but great experiences ordering products from Newegg.

Not the same anymore.
Newegg became a distributor website and doesn't seem to care about the customer satisfaction like they used to.
I built 3 different pc in the last 10 years, always going to Newegg.
But now, my last 2 purchase are taking forever to be shipped
No way to get someone on a live chat or by email.
Newegg is not a distributor website, anyone can become a vendor and sell products.with bad shipping process.
You lost a customer today guys.

Horrible experience returning something, i didnt even get all my money back. The order was cancelled like 10 minutes after purchase and the trouble I went through to just return it was ridiculous. IF you are going to purchase something from Newegg don't even think about returning it you have to be sure.

So I bought an item on Nov. 30th and was told that it would arrive between Dec 4 and 11. Item never came within the timeframe and I filed a complaint on Dec 9 to start the refund process. Did chat w/ agents several times. Today was the last straw for me.it is now Dec 18! Supposedly the 7th day of the claim. They told me 7-10 B. Days for Step 1-3 to be completed (step 2 if its approved or not) Now they're telling me the it will be done by Christmas time. I said that that's way past the 10business days that they provided me as a time frame. The agent proceeds to tell me that FRIDAYS doesn't count as a business days. Well I've had enough with this.this was my first purchase at newegg.ca and will be the last time I'd do so! The part that bothers me the most is I was charged for shipping $15 and nothing came in. I've purchased tons this holiday seasons online and they all came in w/ $0 shipping fee!

Bought on monday, received a monitor that had dead pixel on tuesday, returned it the same day, no response until 7days later. Not only did i miss all my chance to buy something else (Because black friday + Cyber monday) but they didn't refund the hole price. It was my first time and my last time buying from them.

Only buy with credit card! So at least you can charge back. If they f up.
Save your time calling customer service, they don't even care, couldn't even bother to spend a minute to change the address of my order? Are we not in 2020?

Buy from some where else and save your self the headache.

I used the online chat to cancel my order 5 minutes after the purchase. 4 hours later I received an email mentioning that they had shipped the item.

I had to pay for the return ($36), even though I asked for a cancellation at the earliest.

I was hesitating to encourage Newegg, because I had to pay for the shipping, although shipping is free for most companies.

You will have better customer service elsewhere, and free shipping/return. I do not feel bad for them, they have no excuse.

Wasting money and time for low-quality products, at the new egg seller website, for sure they will keep the client money for at least 24 days, after that they will bring excuse sorry inconvenience we will refund your money. So they will trade and business with customer money then return the money to the customer.

I am a new customer with NewEgg. And my experience with Newegg is catastrophic.
I ordered a tablet on 2020/09/09 and got it on 2020/09/10, but it was the wrong item. They shipped a bleu one instead the black that shows on the order. I called for a replacement, and I followed your return procedure to return the item. I called for a followup about the replacement a week later, and the agent processed my return as a refund with the wrong amount. I called again, and another agent refunded my the amount missing and helped me to replace another order. However, she charged me with a much higher price than the initial one I ordered. I had to call again, and I waited for 30 minutes to talk to someone. That agent spoke to me for 2 minutes and she said she would check something for me, but she never came back to me.

Only buy with credit card!
They won't refund you whatsoever.
Save your time calling customer service, they don't care.
Directly go through your credit card company to reject the payment.
Remember to keep all the documents, you are required to write a report.

Terrible refund policy. I received a defective VOIP phone and they refuse to refund or exchange, even though our business purchased many products from them. Customer service reps are uniformed and incapable of solving problems. Beware! I will not use this distributor again!

This is probably the worst place to shop for your pc components. I purchased an SSD from newegg and it arrived 10 days after the expected delivery date. The product and box was completely damaged and ruined. I requested a refund from Newegg but they made me pay $12.99 for delivery, which is outrages for their mistakes. Will never order from them ever again. I am extremely disappointed by their service and products.

Been waiting almost two weeks for my item to ship. Spent $500 on their website and still have no idea when my order will arrive. Even called customer service to contact the warehouse to give me an update and I never received it. Absolute waste of time and money. Just buy off amazon.

UPDATE: After calling customer service SEVERAL more times and recieving no answer as to why my item never shipped, I desperately decided to message Newegg's support twitter to see what could be done. Well, it turns out that customer support contacted this warehouse several times, and the warehouse just ignored them:) I ended up having to get my order shipped from British Columbia, when it was originally supposed to come from here in Ontario. This whole ordeal took about a month, and because of that, my 30 day return policy on all of my other items expired, so I'm VERY lucky they worked.

My experience:

I paid $84.99 on July 7 for a fast shipping (you read it right, I paid $84.99 just for shipping). On July 16, I’m informed that delivery is expected on July 23.

Very disappointing.

Very disappointed in the level of customer service. There a multiple things that came up.
1.) Website advised shipping would take 7-15 business days, I did not receive until 20 business days - almost 30 total days. I had two days to sort out my return, otherwise I would have been past the cut off date
2.) When I went to return the item I noticed the item was now $15 less expensive, however there was no sale indicated, so why did I purchase for a higher amount?
3.) Main issue: I ordered a ring light for filming which advised it included a "selfie stick" implying there is an attachment for your phone. When received it was just the light and stand. When I contacted customer service they wanted to charge me $42 to return and restock the item, the total item cost $60? How is that servicing your customer, you are going to charge them 70% of the item to them have to spend an additional $70 to buy the item I want.
4.) Customer service didn't even offer any type of discount to try and maintain my business.
The difference between companies that last, are the ones that provide exceptional customer service. They understand that there are misunderstandings and will stand with the client and try to rectify the situation.
This was my first and last time buying with Newegg, and unfortunately I will never recommend them.

I lost my $200, yes correct, $200! If you really want the product for your PC, and have good custo service, order from other

Ordered RAM and SSD, nothing received yet! The tracker still says shipping label created. Contacted Purolator, they are saying its the Newegg who still didn't send the package to them. Contacted custo service, 1 rep created a claim, next rep cancelled it saying wrong claim was created so wait another 10 days, then another rep said she is sending an email to the warehouse, then next day another rep said, they don't know whats going on!

I should have checked the reviews before I ordered with this scam company!
