I've been coming here for years for a quick 5 dollar Vietnamese sub. Great selection and great price. I always get number 1 the assorted meat sub. Thanks ladies.
Best Vietnamese sandwich shop around. The ladies are so welcoming and lovely. The sandwhich also hits the spot. It felt like it was made with love. I come here all the time and always recommend this to everyone I know.
There is no difference between a small and large sandwich. Asked for extra spice on my sandwiches many times and they still messed up. Not only do they overcharge, the lady making the sandwich told me she'll charge me $1 for extra spice. Use to love this place but not anymore. Never going back and wouldn't never recommend this place.
They will grossly overcharge customers if you don't ask for how much everything is ahead of time. Nem nuong tasted so stale and I I got diarrhea for days after. Spring rolls probably sat out for days and were so dry and stale. Things have gone way downhill here. Never again.
I just went there today and order a bunch of banh Mi and vietnamese dessert.
The dessert has been sitting around for so long that it went sour and taste kinda funny. All 4 vietnamese desserts taste the same and the casava is not fully cooked. The 3 colour dessert, the pomegranate is so hard because it probably sitting in the fridge for too long. The banana in the dessert tastes like the frozen banana that got toss in. Overall, very disappointed.
For banh mi, the bread is a bit stale and the cilantro is wilted. Needless to say, overall disappointment here too.
Not sure how this restaurant got 4 stars overall. The only good thing about this place is the friendly service.
Love their cassava desserts and coconut drinks. Not too sweet, yet delicious & GF. Caramelized oven-baked cassava square is my fave ️ Smells amazingly caramel-y. It’s a very busy place with Vietnamese regulars looking for real good stuff.
The hours are out of date. I came at 7: 15 and they have it listed as closed at 8. There is a sign at the storefront saying they close at 7 however I could’ve saved the trip if they updated their hours online.
Delicious chicken banh mi. Love the spice level, love the freshness of the ingredients. Cash only. Just don't love their price in comparison to the other economical and just as tasty banh mi offerings literally within 1km of this place (see Banh Mi Trung Son for $3.50). No complaints otherwise.
Always my favourite place for those Vietnamese snack attacks. Beside staples like banh mi and banh bao, there are many other ready to eat foods lined the counters. Come on the weekend for the best selections and the freshest foods. Those ladies are always welcoming and friendly. Oh yes, don't forget to bring cash only people.
One of my favorite places to go to, mainly because of the amazing and gentle lady behind the cash register. After all these years, I still don't know her name but she always recognizes me. One time I didn't go for almost 2 years and she saw me and immediately recognized me. So amazing! Also the food is great! Never had any issues.
I go here for the banh mi on a regular basis. My favourite thing to order is a meatball banh mi and a spring roll. Sometimes getting Vietnamese iced coffee. The ladies there are very nice and service you with a smile.
I will be back, very tasty. Chicken Banh Mi w/ little bit of spice. Everyone in this shop is very helpful, I was a little confused as to what meats were available. They were so patient.
Personally didn't try the food over there Not a big fan of Vietnamese food The thing I wanna point out. The service I saw with a customer getting check out poor.
Bought a bunch of supplies from them to make viet sandwiches at home, turns out all the bread was breaking apart and crumbling. I went back the same day and ask for replacement buns. They pretty much told me too bad. Buy at your own risk
Authentic banh mi, good prices, easy to find parking, and the owners/worker ladies are super friendly to boot! They even listen and take your order, unlike at the Chinatown location, where they seem to even hate their regulars! Want some extra pate or mayo? They'll be happy to help you. Some of their other stuff is not so hot, like their banh bao, or che, or spring rolls. Sometimes they're not great. Depends if they're freshly delivered, so just poke them a bit and you'll know. But mostly people come for a quick takeout sandwich, and for that they're perfect.
This is one of locations of the franchise. The parking space in this plaza sucks, its very tiny. I would recemend parking in the plaza right beside this one for easy access. The prices here are very affordable, the bread here are never fresh (explains why the prices are low) the meat is either a hit or miss.
Always make sure that everything is correct since the people over the counter seem to nod to everything. Overall not a bad establishment for Banh Mi sandwiches!
Very disappointed. I have bought Vietnamese sandwiches at multiple locations, including this one. I bought 20 sandwiches and realized all of them have a nail polish remover taste for some reason. We figured it was the daikon and carrot mixture. I called back to ask about it and not only did the lady suggest I should be putting the daikon mixture separate, or that I’m not used to eating it (I grew up eating this), she hung up on me afterward. I won’t be back.
