Niagara Day Tour

We found this tour to be an excellent way to experience Niagara Falls for a reasonable price.

Pickup is downtown near the Ripley's Aquarium and CN Tower. This was fantastic for us because we were staying at the InterContinental around the corner but even if you are further afield, it is quite easy to get to and makes the departure a lot faster and easier than having to go from hotel to hotel in the Toronto traffic to pick everyone up.

The journey down was pretty quick and once we were there we got to see all the top Niagara sights such as the floral clock, the whirlpool, a maple syrup shop and of course, the falls! A Hornblower cruise can be purchased as an add-on and I would highly recommend this, as the tickets are organised for you and the whole group gets to head straight down to the boat.

We had plenty of free time on our own in Niagara after the boat ride to walk around and see it for ourselves, lunch is not included but plenty of recommendations were provided and there are certainly heaps of places to choose from, ranging from quick snacks to table-service meals with a view.

Our driver/guide for the day Ralph was good, he kept things running on schedule, ensured we had plenty of time at the Falls and provided complimentary bottled water.

It is a bit "no frills" in that hotel pickup and meals aren't included, but this allows for increased flexibility and keeps prices down so I think it's great. Would definitely recommend!

The insight about views and landmarks been very interesting and routes are exciting. Lot of tips and hacks, professional driving and voice over along route. Super friendly and positive attitude, Micko is one of best in Canada we met on our tours!

The whole experience was just great and will certainly live long in the memory. We were picked up by the tour guide (Micko) at the meeting point in the morning and he was a fantastic tour guide throughout the day. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly throughout. His commentary throughout the journey about Niagara itself and Canada in general was really interesting, entertaining and certainly added to the trip, and really helped in terms of identifying what to see and do when in the city of Niagara Falls itself.

It was a hot day and he provided each passenger with a bottle of water and arranged for us to visit the Skylon Tower as well if we wished to do so (if I remember correctly this was 20CAD each cash (USD was also accepted) for tickets that Micko had pre-bought to save us time). That was an opportunity we couldn't miss out on and I'm glad we did as it provided a stunning view of the falls and the surrounding area.

The stop-off at the Maple Leaf Place was good and the maple syrup samples were really tasty. We couldn't resist getting a bottle of authentic Maple Syrup to take back to the UK!

The boat tour itself on the Hornblower was amazing - a bucket list item for me and something I'll remember forever. The falls are absolutely breathtaking and something that I would recommend to anyone if they get the opportunity. Just make sure you take a change of shoes/socks and maybe clothing too if needed as you get quite soaked from the spray (although the poncho does provide some protection). As it was a hot day, we dried out OK but in cooler conditions you may need to change to stay comfortable.

I've seen some reviews saying that the day was a bit rushed - once we had done the boat tour and the Skylon Tower there wasn't much time left and we did have to hurry a little bit to get back to the bus, and only had time to grab a quick take-out lunch from Starbucks, so perhaps a little longer in Niagara Falls would be a good idea. However, on the other hand, it is already a long day (we left at around 8: 30am and got back to Toronto around 6pm due to traffic) so I can see why the timings are the way they are, much longer might have been a little bit too long/tiring.

Overall a great experience and one that I would recommend to anyone. Thank you Micko and Niagara Day Tour company for a memorable experience.

We took the Niagara Falls tour with Niagara Day Tour from Toronto and it was exceptional. Melvin, our guide and driver, entertained us with his humor and captivating stories about the falls.

Great day trip to the falls, tour guide very friendly and informative - a very enjoyable day.

Very nice driver, good timing, excellent organization. It was a shame that we have spent a bit longer time waiting for a boat, as on the Canadian side only one was operational. But still we managed to enjoy the most, and the driver´s (Mel was his name) commentary was very helpful. I recommend this tour. I just wish, we would have more time there, to catch up also the "behind the falls" walk. Skylon was not in the package I bought (booked it just day in advance via viator), but it´s worth the 20 CAD extra. The views are amazing from there. The only thing I would "ditch" from the tour is the mandatory "tourist trap" Maple Leaf place, where they do maple syrup tasting, and sales. If that one is skipped, nothing would happen. And you can be longer at the falls. Also take a head cover / sunscreen, as in the summer, the sun is really strong there!

Pros: you get a drive/tour guide and a bus
Cons: Skyline Tower & Cruise are not included, so that means the CA$100 fee is almost purely your bus ticket and tour guide. Everything is timed and time is short on almost every single stop. They only give you less than 3 hours at Niagara Falls and if you're taking the cruise that means only less than 2 hours left for you, which sounds enough but actually not if you want to hit multiple spots on foot. Overall the entire thing is very rushed and overpriced.

Overall the experience was great. However, there are a few improvements. Even the boat ride only takes 20 mins, you need to reserve an hour to do this activity due to waiting to get on the boat. Also, if you want to have lunch, it will take another hour. So it doesn't leave enough time to walk on the path to enjoy the waterfall. It would be great if the tour guide can help speed up the onboarding process and maybe reserve 3.5hrs at least for this location.

Chauffeur très sympa, bus climatisé mais parcours absolument pas optimisé. Beaucoup de temps passé sur la route car de nombreux arrêts le matin sans aucune utilité (horloge et petite chapelle par exemple), avec pour conséquence 3h uniquement aux Chutes, ce qui passe très vite en comptant la croisière et le déjeuner. On a vraiment eu le sentiment de perdre notre temps…. En revanche, les chutes du Niagara sont magnifiques et valent clairement le détour depuis Toronto.

I really enjoyed this tour. It's an easy option to see the highlights without having to worry about transport and cruise and tower tickets. The guide was excellent and gave a great overview of local Canadian history and history of people going over the falls. A Niagara cruise was an optional extra (definitely worth it). The itinerary was fine, but be aware that the free time is more limited than it looks. After going up the tower, we had three hours of free time at the falls but this includes the (optional) cruise. After the cruise there was maybe two hours left, which gave time for lunch (which can be time consuming with summer crowds), a walk up and down the foreshore and close look at the top of the horseshoe falls. But there was no time for extra tours such as a walk behind the horseshoe falls or the power station tunnel. This was fine as the cruise and just walking around were the highlights, but if you want to pack in other activities, you might be better off doing your own thing. I would also suggest bringing your own lunch to avoid queues.

I only am writing a review because of Mel. Very great experience with him as our tour guide. He really seems like he loves his job and the history he shared so it made us enjoy it that much more. Loved his jokes! He even bought us waters. Thank you Mel!

My trip to the Niagara Falls with Niagara day tour was fantastic. I arrived the pickup place at the right time and I was offered a bottle of water. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and amazing. He always gave us information about different places and made regular stops at different attractions. The boat tour was a part of my package. I think for such trips, one should have more time at the Niagara Falls because it’s a long walk from the boat tour exit point to the behind the falls and also there is a long queue. So, I missed behind the falls tour because I did not have time. Overall, it was a great experience.

We loved the day trip with Niagara Day Tours! Micko was our tour guide and driver and he was excellent, he was friendly and engaging and was so full of knowledge about the falls and also about canada in general. We learned so much on the tour. The bus was spacious and comfortable and we had plenty of time to explore the falls and surrounding attractions. This tour saved us so much hassle to avoid renting a car and finding parkings. The whole experience was a breeze. We booked it online directly on the website for the best price.

The bus was on time and on schedule at every pick up location. Our guide has an ASMR voice, all the idiotic barrels stories at the falls sound like lullaby.

There is very limited time at the falls after the boat tour. It was just enough time for us to eat. The restaurant was very slow due to crowds. We didn't have much time to see all the touristy things.

It's okay, our main goal was to see the fall, the tour achieved that.

Great organized trip for a group of 64 people. We had a great day to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake! Burkus was very responsive to our questions when planning, and along with our other driver Jimmy, they provided a very memorable and fun day! Thanks!

Les chutes furent magnifiques évidemment, le chauffeur très sympathique et serviable, le bus très bien également. Mais nous pensions avoir du temps pour se promener autour des chutes, ce qui n est pas le cas. Les arrêts obligatoires pour démonstrations à une boutique et à Skylon alors que nous avions opté pour ma croisière nous ont déçus. Une fois la croisière et le repas, il restait à peine une heure pour se promener, sur une journée!

Amazing tour! But for those who do not want to go up the tower for the views of the falls, should be able to carry out another activity that is not waiting for the people who did, and those be able to make better use of the time, since they make you wait 45 minutes

The tour was excellent, driver Melvin a mine of information, the falls boat ride genuinely sensational. But this was all good for other reasons. I left my quite good camera gear on the bus when we left. Burkis at the company went to huge effort to go and retrieve the camera, and get it to a driver who was picking up at our hotel next day. Fantastic service!

Magnifique tour, avec quelques petits arrêts à l aller intéressants, et 3h près des chutes. Possibilité d'ajouter les attractions tour Skylon et croisière sur place auprès du guide. Guide Melvin très prévenant, ponctuel, drôle et sympathique. Je recommande cette excursion!
