Niagara Guitar Lessons

I have been taking lessons with Dustin for a year now and have enjoyed all of them. I have been playing guitar on and off for many years but have been more committed to playing every day now because I feel more confident in my playing.
We took a few steps back to cover the basics such as timing and rhythm because I had picked up many bad habits but have made progress sorting those bad habits out with Dustin’s help. He provided the direction I needed to beak through the barrier.
I am an older player and get along well with Dustin but I sense that he would be just as effective with younger players as well.
And above all the rest, he is a nice guy and very easy to work with.

Dustin is a great teacher for the guitar and will work with you at your pace Dustin will also not try to push to much theory on to you if do not wish to go there.

Dustin is a fantastic teacher, our 12 year old daughter loves working with him. He makes learning fun by teaching her some of her favourite songs. We Highly recommend Dustin.

As a mature student new to the guitar I was unsure of what to expect. During the initial consult Dustin was welcoming and explained his teaching style. It's a relaxed one on one environment where you pick the songs you want to play and lessons are developed around that. Dustin is encouraging and extremely patient. I take lessons with my 13 year old daughter. She has trained in piano for 8 years so she knows a thing or two about playing music while I am a total beginner. Learning the guitar is something we both have wanted to do for a while so my wife signed us up for a round of lessons as a gift. Dustin allows us to both learn together and he does a great job of making sure we both are advancing. It’s great quality time together. We always leave with something new to work on and a smile on our face. There are few things that I look so forward to each week as our lesson with Dustin. I can’t recommend Niagara Guitar Lessons enough!

My 8 year old son has been going to Niagara guitar lessons for the summer. My son loves lessons and is not having any issues ever remembering notes. Each week he comes home with a new song. I love the choice of music because it's music I'm into. Dustin is professional and fun. My son looks up to him. Dustin is always positive and my son glows because Dustin gives him a boost of confidence. Dustin has a great sence of humor and is always punctual. Love the location because my youngest son which isn't in lessons yet joins me at the Niagara river to enjoy the view. So it's a win win. I highly recommend Dustin's lessons.

I went to a Jam session for the first time last Tuesday. With my banjo, BTW. It was all folk and bluegrass - most of which I'd never heard before. Mostly older people, old crusty people who would just start playing, sometimes just announcing the song title. Someone would invariably snap "what key are we in? " When I got that information, I was able to keep my head above water simply by knowing the key, and, having learned the Nashville Number theory: I knew what chords to expect, and to listen for the changes. Watching the guitar players opposite me to confirm my chord choices worked: so long as they weren't capoed. I found myself often able to anticipate the changes - even if I didn't know the song. I think they even thought that I knew what I was doing! They even seemed bewildered that I wasn't using a capo to play in different keys. I never would have been able to play with them if we hadn't done the ear training that we have... Just sayin'... Thanks Justin!

Dustin is very knowledgeable, encouraging, and more so very patient. He is making learning how to play the guitar a lot of fun and free of stress.
