Went cuz i had covid.they made me take a covid test to make sure i didnt have covid.i had covid. 1+2=fish

Horrible experience. I waited 3 hours to do my CT Scan, and in the end I just left when I realized that I still had 20 people in the waiting room before me. Not only mention, the place is very old and dirty!

I was at the Welland hospital a few days ago for a serious issue and as a medically trained professional myself was absolutely appalled by the UNPROFESSIONALISM of the staff. Disgusting behavior by Dr. Stobel and the nurses on at the time. When called "back" I was DISGUSTED to find the ER room was almost VACANT but the staff were MORE INTERESTED in yakking among themselves than DOING THEIR JOB. While a half dozen people - including a SERIOUSLY ill teen girl and an EXTREMELY ILL man - sat in the waiting room for the WORTHLESS employees to STOP walking like a bunch of IMMATURE UNEDUCATED SIMPLE MINDED children and DO THEIR ACTUAL JOB.

If you looked up the words incompetent, useless, worthless unprofessional in the dictionary you'd find the entire Niagara Health System front and center.

Was in the waiting room one night last week and the big bald African American guard sitting at the desk was listening to music loudly on his phone. Good music but a little to loud.

I had cataract surgery with DR. Rhemtulla and his staff. Best experience from all of them. Nothing but 100 % effort from all of them and made my day sergery really good.
Special thx to DR Rhemtulla for taking care of my eyes.

This review is for the RAAM clinic in welland. I saw a caring, compassionate and professional women named Nicole. She provided amazing services with a smile and really seemed to care about me getting better. Thank you Nicole.

There was almost a 3 hour wait. That was rather difficult given it was the middle of the night.
At 3: 45am it was finally my turn. I was treated with so much respect and loving care.
I commend the staff at Welland hospital for all the long tiring hours of care they give their patients. Thank you

Came here while away for the weekend. They took me right in. The emergency staff was phenomenal. The triage nurse was so caring, I wish I had gotten her name! Then when I moved I had a nurse covering for another nurse and both of them were great! Christian is great at what he does even though he was exhausted after a long day! And the doctor was very thorough!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Do not waste your time going here. The staff, nurses, ect.do not care about us.

The care I received was outstanding. The staff were so kind and caring even with the ER overwhelmed with patients.

Attended around 1pm, waited for triage nurse for 75 minutes, was a line up of chairs waiting, nobody even asks why your there or if they can help you. 3 ladies in registration sitting on their phones! And when someone would go up to them the didn't ask may I help you, are you ok, do you need immediate assistance, no, it was, have you been to triage, go there first. Even people who had already been to triage were treated that way. Once at registration the lady was very nice, but WHY can one of them not be rerouted to assist people in pain, cut, can't breathe well, contagious etc. The doctor, nurses, lab tech's and xray staff were all amazing, just took 7 hours, 6 1/2 waiting for 1/2 an hour of excellent care!

This site is horrible.my Wife is in so much pain and we been sitting waiting to see the triage nurse.no one acknowledged her and its been more than 30mins.what a joke.an emergency room and no body even comes to see you

I was feeling sick, and I was worried something was really wrong with me. I haven't been to the hospital since covid broke out. The staff at the emergency department were all very kind to me, and they all were working very hard today. I am really grateful for your kindness and help. I really appreciate all the hard everyone work is doing there. Thank you very much for helping us today, I really appreciate it.

We had a very scary experience with my 5 month old son. Not only did they attend his needs immediately, the staff was so compassionate and sweet toward our family.

ONTARIO BREAST SCREENING PROGRAM
Welland Hospital

My Aug 10 mammogram turned into an early stage breast cancer diagnosis and I can tell you that the people working in this program are absolutely AMAZING!

Every technician for mammograms and ultrasound were patient, gentle, caring and kind.

Thank goodness the radiologist looking at the mammograms is so amazing; that early stage breast cancer is caught, meaning treatment is less invasive.

I had a pain free biopsy with Dr. Habdank, then a radioactive seed placement procedure which had a little 2 second sting to it (the freezing needle) but again, I felt very cared for and at ease. I told him he was amazing and I meant it. The assisting caregivers were very comforting and when I asked for rolled towels for between my knees to get comfortable prior to the procedures, they were very accommodating and offered another for my lower back. Relaxing is so important for any procedure and I was able to accomplish that with their help.

On the day of surgery (a lumpectomy) I had a sentinal node injection with a wonderful lady named Beth in the Nuclear Medicine Dept. She too is amazing. 4 needles with dye that had a few second sting but her caring and calm manner made it seamless and before I knew it, the procedure was over. She is absolutely lovely!

I then had surgery with Dr. Peter T Willard (again an amazing caregiver). He takes the time to answer questions and explain procedures. He came and spoke with me when I woke up from surgery (that meant a lot to me.) When my husband and I went for the 2 week post op appointment at his office, he didn’t rush us, and answered all our questions.

This has been the scariest time of my life health wise; but having a team like the one this Clinic/Hospital has put together makes a world of difference.

I can’t forget The Day surgery nurses they were very attentive. The hospital is kept cold for our safety as bacteria does not thrive in cold, but the heated warm blankets you are given take care of that issue - and you can ask for another if one doesn’t do the trick.

Medical staff very professional and friendly. Nurses fantastic.
Went to this medical facility for the first time for a procedure. Staff put me at ease throughout. In and out in less that 2.5 hrs.

This site has the worst care for elderly patients. They ignore families and elderly patients. The nurses are cranky and spend more time visiting than dealing with patient care. They have no tact when dealing with patients and families. In my opinion, the hospital should be investigated for elder abuse. Next time I go in, I will be recording the interactions.

On Sunday August 21st I took my wife to emergency around 10pm for what turned out to be a broken arm.
The nurses, doctors and staff were amazing. Never enough recognition for the hard work they do

Hi, I took my 21 years old son for a day surgery (tonsillitis) on Sep 08,2002 at 12: 30 P. M, he was released at about 9: 00 P. M.all nurses and doctors and staff were super friendly. Thank you

Overall a decent wait time. But when I was leaving I was having trouble with the parking machine. The two younger security guards were very friendly and helpful when I asked for help with my parking.

The best emergency room experience ever! The doctor and nurses were absolutely amazing to my daughter. Unbelievable.thank you!

Staff were over worked well before Doug Ford decided to fire hospital workers. Now people lose their lives every day because of this mess he created. Our healthcare is operating the same as a third world Country. The future is scary.

Just need to say that the staff that was there between 10: 00a.m. -3: 30pm especially a young Dr. A. Rust & his assistant from McMaster were exceptionally wonderful
I found everyone to b very busy but still had time for me. Patient, courteous, & informative

My mother was a nurse so I knew as a child what she went thru many many yrs. Ago
And I do feel u all have a lot on your plate these days more than any other time in history

The services I received from the doctors, nurses & staff in the Emergency Dept are great! They are well-trained, polite & always very helpful. However, advice to the Nutrition Dept, improve the meals you serve your patients. They are dry & bad tasting.

The health care system in Niagara is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. Hours in the emergency room because I have no other choice, since my doctor isn’t available for months and walk in sent me here! I’m at the point where I’d rather remortgage the house and pay for proper care in the US! Absolutely disgusting wait times! And to boot, no one is enforcing Covid protocol. People hacking and not wearing masks in the waiting room.

Nurses literlly just sit there do nothing. This place is horrible. Like wake up help your patients. Either love your job or find another career

W. O. R. S. T HOSPITAL EVER! THEY HAVE NO MANNERS, COMPLETELY FORGET ABOUT PATIENTS, LEAVES THE PATIENTS WAITING RIDICULOUS LONG FOR RESULTS. LEAVES THE PATIENTS COLD. THEY ARE THE WORST HOSPITAL. FULL OF IGNORANT STUCK UP NURSES AND DOCTORS THAT THINK THEYRE BETTER THAN THE AVERAGE PERSON BECAUSE THIER DEGREE.

I had surgery with this site and they were amazing, from pre op, surgery and post op everyone was fantastic and so helpful and nice. Zero complaints from my experience! Thank you all again!

Went in for a 10: 00 appointment had to do the screening which took a few mins show up at the x-ray and they cancelled it on me because I was 5 mins late because of the screening.then told me I had to rebook yet the place was empty and no one around. The kicker was she wouldn't even rebook for me I now have to go rebook again. This is unacceptable and I was never told to arrive early when making the appointment on the phone to begin with.this isn't the first time I have been misinformed from the staff at Welland hospital.there patients services are terrible.
Do your self a favor and go to another hospital like St. Catharines as they have great dr's.

First time visiting this hospital, i was given great directions over the phone.
Upon arrival i was screened for covid and then walked up to the area/floor i needed which was soooo nice or I would have been lost.
All the nurses were amazing! So funny and friendly! Tina helped me get ready and and jack i believe his name was did blood work, nice fella! He even took the time to tell me about what each vile was for. And he had results back in like 5 min!
The anastesioogist, dr sternadel, and the rest of the staff were also amazing, friendly happy people! Took all my sugery nerves away!
They even wheeled me right down to the car, such service haha! Even the people who called before and after my appt were nice!

A huge thank you to all the fabulous nurses at the Welland Hospital for taking such good care of my dad yesterday.

He entered the hospital with great trepidation but they quickly put him at ease. Despite the extremely bad condition due to COVID-19, they took very careful attention to him and guided him all the way.

He’s grateful to all the nursing staff that looked after him. He said they were extremely courteous and kind.

Thank you for also contacting me several times with frequent updates on his status.

My father was brought to emerge today at this hospital with complication to his heart. I have been in touch numerous times since he was brought in via ambulance and with every conversation that I had with any of their staff members, they have treated me with the upmost disrespect and they have absolutely no compassion.

With everything that is happening with COVID-19 at the moment, it is very disgraceful and appalling to call anyone from this hospital Frontline Heroes after the treatment my mother and I received today. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Rest assure, I have been in touch with the Premier of Ontario in regards to the situation and how everything was assessed. I've also filed a complaint to the Patients Ombudsmen in regards to this hospital and I strongly encourage anyone who encounters any experience such as this one to do the same.

After this, I think I will be in touch with the news as well. I think people should should be aware what truly goes on amidst this pandemic behind close doors. These Frontline Heroes are not what they make them out to be.

Look for another hospital if you are in need of emergency. I've been here since 3 o'clock. It took 3 hours for my boyfriend to see the triage nurse, with another 3 hours and still waiting for CT scan results. Horrible hospital, staff is very uncoordinated and unhelpful to helping patients waiting. No information has been relayed, so here we are waiting for god knows how long to tell us the scan.
Does this hospital only have 1 doctor? Makes absolutely no sense, I suggest better communication to your patients.

I arrived in Emergency at Welland Hospital after having a complication following my open heart surgery at Hamilton Hospital. I had spent a few more days at Welland Hospital and was discharged. Early the next morning I had to return by paramedics. I was greeted by friendly nursing staff who did their work promptly, efficiently and in a calm, pleasant manner. I was also helped by the health care aid who was very personable. I was pleased with the care that I received from these lovely ladies! I am a retired R. N. (fairly recent) so I know all about good nursing, especially since I worked for many years in E. R. I hear a lot of bad things, and it's time that someone brought up something positive about the facility. I have to mention that I also received excellent care in Telemetry, looked after by a very nice Cardiologist on the unit! Great work! Thanks for taking good care of me!

I am feeling bad pain in my stomach. I am coming hospital around at 4: 30 am with ambulance. I am still waiting at emergency centre. Now time is 8: 15 am

My mom got brought in on Saturday with severe hip, lower back pain & was taken care of in a most professional way. Thank you to the nurses & Dr for taking excellent care of my mom.
