Professional, quick, and reliable. I used their services for belt punching, and shoe repair, shine. Convenient and overall very good service.

Took my hiking shoes there (gore tex) for cleaning and they couldn’t finish by the time they promised when I visited to pick up. I had to wait for another week or two and had to make another trip to the store. I needed to change the shoe lace so paid for new shoe lace. When I saw the new shoe lace I really didn’t like it so I asked for a refund. And the guy said they don’t do refund.

I had to pay the full amount for the service when I dropped off my shoes which is super weird too.

I’m writing this review because I’m trying to wear the hiking shoes with those ugly shoe lace today and realized the laces are way too short to be tied. Complete waste of my money and time.

I paid $50-$60 for shoe cleaning and new shoe lace. Feel like a scam and will never return.

The gentleman at the front desk went out of his way to accommodate my colour request for replacement straps for my purse. He was so kind and I know they will do a good job.

As a stroke survivor with left side paralysis, I needed a pair of backless sneakers modified by having a leather strap put on the heel. $100.00 for a job that took no time at all. I called at 1: 15pm to see if they were ready. They were not. I told them that I had a ride scheduled to get me there at 3: 00pm. They were then ready but at an obscene cost of $100.00. I will be shopping around for other shoe repair shops that aren't so ridiculously overpriced.

Took these in to get resoled, boots came back 1.5cm short at the heel. Idk how they expect people to walk normally in these shoes when the soles aren't level. Dyed the bottom leather but didn't bother to take off the sticker that was there. Now it looks like a mess. Paid $160 + taxes for this no-brain job, ended up taking them elsewhere to get redone. Waste of time and money.

Excellent quality repairs + kind people! Even willing to pick up and drop off shoes for customers close to their old location! I will continue to support Nick's and am happy to prolong the life of my footwear!

Apparently these guys have changed ownership. I've called them, they seem to not understand what I'm talking about, nobody calls back, nobody responds to emails and when I called today, I got hung up on.

Poor customer service. Perhaps just bad luck, but assured over the phone that they could repair Belgian Shoes after looking at the internet page. Arrived at the store and they said they could not repair this style of shoe.

I went out of my way to go to “Nick’s” since everyone was raving about it, despite the fact that there are many shoe repair places in my neighborhood. First off… They recently moved to a new location halfway across the city, and when I got to the new place (after calling a week in advance of picking them up and being told my shoes were already repaired), the person at the counter repeatedly stated that I “should have called ahead” of my arrival and that I was “lucky” that they were able to find my shoes given I just dropped in. I’m not sure why being able to find your customer’s shoes is a matter of luck? …

They also (and more importantly) did a sloppy, messy job gluing my heel back—I couldn’t believe just how bad it was. I have a photo of the repaired heel versus the original heel side by side. When I mentioned it, no attempt was made to remedy the situation. Not sure what all the hype is about with this place, but I will not go here again. These very expensive shoes are ruined.

They’re slowly losing the good reputation Nick has built over years due to the lazy, incompetent person they have manning their DuPont st location. I believe his name is John.

Beware: Nicks is not what it used to be.

Lovely little place and they always do a great job at repairing my summer sandals each year

Place is not consistently open and there's no advance warning that the shop will be open during it's stated business hours. I do not recommend them as you're likely to waste a lot of time just trying to find the store open

PS you lost one of my items and didn't credit me for it.

Reza is great at what he does and very personable. Whenever I bring him shoes that need to be repaired, they come out looking brand new. 100% would recommend!
