Nick's No Frills

So I worked there for three months as a cashier which then they switched me to stock shelves in Ontario you have to be sixteen. Terrible training so I had to learn by myself after about 3 months I got hurt by a wood pallet they gave me a form 8 and I could not come back to work till I filled it out but since it was the stores fault because the working conditions are really bad so after about 2 days they locked me out of my work app I did not question it, today I get to work and they let me go for the dumbest reason I was called in for work and they knew I could not come because the form was not filled out yet anyways they gave the excuse that I was not working hard enough and I was working to the brink of exhaustion be sides this they did not wanna admit there fault for there workers injury’s, By the way I have union and they let me go immediately within 1 day!

Very bad customer service, this no frill is not good because the supervisor or store manager she was so rude.

It’s baffling that the store doesn’t help with bagging. I get the idea of it being “no frills”, but how much is it to ask your employees to help with bagging? If they don’t like it, work somewhere else and hire employees that actually care about the customers coming through.

What all these “no bagging” store don’t realized, is that they would actually make more money in the long run. Bagging = more customers going to your store for just that + more importantly, MORE MONEY! The faster you get customers through, the more money you make. And for the employees, the more you bag, the faster you shift will feel and the quicker you’ll be able to go home!

It’s just a win win that I can’t believe these cheaper corporate grocery stores haven’t picked up on. You guys like more money, right? You just like having satisfied customers, right?

Everything in stock and if I do not see it one of the workers gets it from out back. Store is clean and tidy. Cashiers are friendly and courteous. And most of all prices are lowest I have seen while still providing top notch products. With PC app. I save even more.

Hello there, was just the in this store when a child collapsed and was having a seizure. Right next to her and watched the whole thing was Mitch, apparently, he is a manager. Never blinked an eye and carried on stacking shelves. I had to run to front desk to get help. Thanks to Florance and another member of staff we helped the mother and child get comfy on the floor till she left the building. SHAME ON YOU MITCH

By far my favourite grocery store. You must go inside and peruse. Occasionally they have some pretty high end food at a bargain

Always scanning as per their wish. Almonds for Cashews, Cilantro for curly Parsley and so on. They’re literally don’t care what they are scanning coz it’s not out of their pocket.

Excellent customer service! Our cashier Friday night was super friendly and shared some great tips for collecting points and how to maximize them. She even showed us right on her phone how to do it. Very much went above and beyond. This location will definitely be our new go to for groceries!

Very Rude cashier, not good customers service, no frill need to do retraining for all cashier. I'm so disappointed for this location and I don't recommend it.

The only good things about this particular No Frills store are its friendly cashiers and competitive pricing. Other than that, shopping here is an exercise in frustration. Their "fresh" produce is often anything but fresh. And every single time I shop at this store, they're out of stock of several items on my list. Every single time! I'm talking about regularly priced items, not just sale items. And no, this has nothing to do with Covid: I've had the same experience at this store since moving to Paris 6 years ago.

For example, today I went to this store for three items: a bottle of distilled water, a box of Barilla spaghetti, and a bag of No-Name frozen fruit. Sure enough, not one of these items were on the shelves, and despite walking the whole store twice, I could not find anyone on the floor who could check if they had any stock out back.

I'm guessing that the owner/manager of this No Frills store is counting on there being very little competition in Paris, and they can therefore continue to offer such poor customer service because people don't have much choice of where to buy their groceries in town. Sobeys is a very nice store, but their prices are usually outrageous.

I've heard that a Freshco will be opening in Paris soon: as soon as that happens, I will gladly take my business there, and avoid this No Frills store at all cost.

Update: Visited this place a couple of weeks ago, what a change! Well stocked and friendly service.we will be returning.

Simple store that has most things. Be careful with the fresh produce though as I've brought things home and they have gone mouldy the next day.

Good store overall. Low stock on coffee pods last few times I went, but amazing sales. You can save money.

I enjoyed shopping here. The store is clean and well organized. Aisles are wide and clearly marked and the shelves well filled.

Cashier and another coworker were talking had to wait 20 minutes until they were done gossiping

We save about $20-30 per grocery bill here. They have a great selection of fresh produce and carry most items we need for cooking our foodie recipes. Store is stocked well and clean.

You have an employee named Christian. That young man is a benefit to your store. Polite, Helpful and knows how to look after a customer. You made an Awesome choice when you hired him.

Very clean and well stocked. Had everything on our grocery list with great prices. Cashier was very friendly and polite.

Excellent grocery store on all levels. Staff is beyond, beyond. Shop there 2 or 3 times a week.

The workers moved very quickly to keep the lines moving and the cashier I had was very pleasant. I definitely recommend shopping at this location

Nick's No Frills has great and competitive pricing. I enjoy the weekly sales and friendly service.

Always a clean and well stocked store. On the smaller side but has just about everything I need.
The flyer items always seem to be in stock as well.

I stop on my way home to pick up maybe 6 things up, they had everything I needed but the service was poor 1st I had to queue up because the express til was closed, when I asked about it the young girl just looked at me, 2nd thing the conveyor was not wiped down and 3rd thing there was a group of employees just standing at the end of the conveyor just talking all within 6 feet of each. Seems the covid rules don't apply here.

The most friendiest staff i have met, even with this pandemic, the staff is always very upbeat. Always shop at this store because of the staff.

Stocked quickly and limited item buying when someone went off with a cart full of a sale item. Organized checking out.

Not a.large store but it has everything you need. I wish they had more diverse selection like a better selection of Halal, kosher etc. Otherwise all good, friendly staff and quick cashier's.

If everyone is wearing a mask, why cant we enter as we used too?

Stopped in here on a Sunday on my way through Paris and have to say was quite disappointed in the quality of the produce. Ended up leaving my cart and heading back to the Brantford location.

Receiver suck's it will take forever to offload a truck. They take one skid out and lost with it never had this kinda experience ever in any other No Frills Stores.

I like this store in Paris very much. All staff is very good. I would have given 5 star rating until a few days ago. There was a couple in the store, one with a mask on and the other without. Not one employee told her to leave or go get a mask. Says you need a mask to enter at the entry. So I asked the employee who was pointing people to a check out why this lady wasn't asked to leave. She was pleasant about it, but answered that they have no authority to keep this woman from entering and she wasn't a bylaw officer. I didnt like the answer but left it at that.
Fact is its private property and they dont have to let anyone in. Trespass to Property Act covers this. No mask no entry, simple statement. So liability, people get sick from that day and time who do you think they will go after?

It's a great place to get groceries they are courteous and the food is good. Prices are good. E-Z Parking.

Great store. Well kept, great staff. I was very pleased with the selection of dairy free and gluten free products.

Love the store my only complaint is the amount of garbage on the grassy areas all the time! Need someone piking up trash regularly.

We always seem to find the fresh produce very fresh and lots of sales items now that we are retired we have to watch our buying and Nick's no frills seems to be the place to go

Good for everything but meat and bread. Meat is too expensive, and the bread is on the stale side, hence the lower price. I come here for other items like veggies, which are way overpriced at the the other food stores.

This No Frills is clean and well managed. The produce is fresh and good selection. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. I highly recommend this location

The name says it all "No Frills"
Lots of no name products and really good prices. If you have an Optimum card.you can collect huge points on their promo items. Last week I spent $40 & got 4000 points!

Owner had his children working on till because of the elementary school strikes, absolutely ridiculous, especially since it was busy and they obviously are not going to be trained to work at a faster pace.
