Waited 40mins for two doses. Service is very bad can be improved a lot

I really like the food here. But waiting that long just makes me loose my appetite out of frustration.

Very very bad service. It just takes forever! Inattentive waiters, they are just lost in their own world.

Nilgiris is very good to savor vegetarian food. We decided to try the thali today. Both the Madras and the Bombay thalis. The quantity was really good. However, as is the common practice of a thali meal in other restaurants, no one came asking if anyone on our table wanted a top up of the curries. Both the meals had a really cloud soft idli and a really yum, crispy outside but soft inside medhu vada as starters. The madras thali had a good sized dosa and the Bombay thali had a choice of roti or puri. That was the only difference but there was a difference in price. Not really warranted
I would come back for their idlis, vada and dosas.

Sambhar tastes the best. Idlis are very soft. Vada is crispy.
Five star for the one who takes the order - When I placed order, I was heard well, and I was suggested a combo which will get me the same food for lesser price (saved $3)!

I go out of my way to get food here! The “snacks” are awesome as is the Masala Chai tea (I always buy two for the road). The staff are friendly, cheerful, and prompt!

Nice and authentic south indian food. Specially like idli and menduvada. Sambhar is not that up to mark.

These guys mentioned that they are open on Sunday at 8: 00 AM, i drove 20 kms from my home they said we will open at 8: 30AM. When i went there at 8: 30 they said will open in next hour, what is this, they do not respect the customers! If you guys are not open, just mention it closed. So, no one will drive a long way from their homes! Bad Experience ever!

Love the taste of the food and the price is pretty great as well, I which they sell more items with combo. But overall I love the freshness of the curry and chutney.

My parents love this place. Heads up for those planing to dine-in, majority of the restaurants orders are takeout orders so you will have to be patient for your food.

Love this restaurant. MMM MMM Idli! Reminds me of authentic south Indian food I was fortunate enough to receive at Vaidyagrama Ayruveda Healing Village near Coimbatore.

Rough staff, totally disappointed. And when I complaint about food they behave like dogs. I would say barking dogs. And I paid for that food I didn't eat. Greedy people.

Best Idlis in whole GTA! Visited several times. Food is authentic just the restaurants seating needs to be more spacious. Wish there was delivery. Only one restaurateur in Brampton and its far away. PLEASE OPEN ONE IN PROPER BRAMPTON!

Was like a fiah market. The dosa was pretty bland and sambhar and chatni were really tasteless. Service also really very unorganized. The service and tables need to be managed better.

I have visited many places for dosas in the GTA but this one is honestly THE BEST! Great taste, great quality, great service. I have never been disappointed by any of my visited. I have visited this place more than 20 times. Love the ambiance, food and service and they got the best tasting sambhar.

Fairly average food quality and service largely lacks customer attention. Moderately priced menu. They have ample sitting space so getting a table is not an issue most days. However, there are other places that offer tastier South Indian food.

Very Nice food and excellent service. We went there yesterday and it was 15 min to their closing time. We requested if they could arrange for a dine in and the girl did it with a smile on her face. THANKS

Food is excellent as ever. Don't understand why did they change staff. Current staff is so horrible. They require more training about how to serve customer, how to talk with customer etc etc.

One of the best authentic south Indian cuisine. It's always fresh and tasty. We ordered the podi idli, medu vada and masala dosa. All 3 dishes were tasty and well made. We have eaten south Indian food at Guru Lakshmi, Sarvana Bhavan and Karai Kudi but so far Nilgiri's at Brampton is our top pick and number one choice when it comes to Dosa's and idli's. They are very decently priced for the quality and if you need anything customized just talk to Mr. Anand.he runs the restaurant very professionally and ensures all customers are happy. Overall the staff is great, service is great and most importantly food is great and we strongly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a good authentic south Indian meal.

Great place for south Indian food! Fresh food and does not dissappoint! Affordable prices. Great tasting food. Navjot, Karam, and Raman were all great and took care of us. Manager is very nice and they give you refills of Sambar and chutney!

Took forever to get 1 Kuttu paratha. So many wait staff but NO ONE could get us our parathas. The other 3 people had buffet and were done with their meal while the person who asked for paratha just waited for over 45 minutes. Got the paratha- they did us a favour by making it wish they didnt. Was the worse paratha ever.

Ridiculous behavior. You need to order dosas and poori separately if you take the buffet, that is another story.

Great dosa, disappointing portion of masala ratio as per the size of the dosa. Received minimal amount of chutney after waiting 15 minutes. Charge of dosa $11 the question I ask myself is if I will return.

Insane amount of waiting. Staff needs to be a lot smarter in managing the crowd and allocating tables. I have seen people continuing to sit on their tables for more than 15 min after paying their bill.

Authentic south indian taste in Brampton. Lots of variety and weekend all you can eat brunch. Reasonably priced and friendly service. Takeaway idli’s are best and fresh. I buy in bulk and reheat and eat, tastes like fresh. Very crowed on weekends and evenings so be prepared to wait if you want to enjoy good food.

Food was very good. Only 3 staff who were taking orders and serving. I went for lunch and the hotel was full. Can see the staff were stressed out. It took a while to give the order but food was served very quickly.

They have good taste of dosa. But their service is very slow. We ordered food and drinks same time. But received drinks after eating more than half dosa. In samber found a half potato which is uncooked and un peeled
