Nino D'Aversa Bakery

Great spot close to home that I can't believe I haven't known about until recently. Stopped in a few days ago to test run a couple of deserts for my wife's upcoming birthday. One was even gratis the fella that seemed to be in charge thankyou very much. All the samples were so good it actually made the choice more difficult but eventually we landed on the tiramisu. Nice friendly and helpful staff with even a kinda hometown like atmosphere to boot.

The bread is good but the staff has the personality of a wet rock he just kept eating while cashing us out and never said a word.
Many bakeries around won't be back

I am driving at least once a week 40 km to get the pastry from the place. I am not eating pastry. It's for my women at home. They love the D'Avesa bakery pastry.

Great food, great staff, overall pleasant experience. Cant wait to go back with the kids they love the baked goods

I went to the store in Kipling,
And this is one of my worst experience of Italian bakeries in GTA.
Very low customer service. (The guy who name was Paul, had very bad behaviour, I paid by credit and he through the receipt to me!)
Very low quality pastries (Not fresh) and no good coffees.and everything was pricy!

I never go this place again.

What a delicious place to meet up with friends for a breakfast or just a coffee. Being from the East coast, this is a refreshing and mildly overwhelming place to get a danish or great baked good. Overwhelming because you just don’t want to choose wrong. Go and check it out next time you drive by, and there are some other cute shops to visit while you are there! I know I will be visiting again soon

The pastries here are good thats why we come once in a while, but the customer service is not good at all. I don’t feel welcome here!

Three of us went for lunch there today. Clean eating area (tables and floor). Really enjoyed the large wood oven baked specialty pizza served on a pedestal (love that)
Our server was quick and very nice. Did takeout for pastries.very good cannoli.

Grew up here.doesnt matter were i go. NOTHING beats the tast of home. Try the Canolli there life altering

Zero starts. Absolutely horrendous bland expensive hot table. Veal parm, zero taste. Hot peppers mush, not hot at all. Go to Cataldi.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hard to have a bad experience here!
Great place for a snack or meal (pizza or sandwich). Mouth watering options for dessert, and even a good coffee for every possible taste, from the good traditional espresso coffee to the most North American watery style.

The food is good, but the guy at the counter overcharged me for my food, and the zeppole was hard as a rock

Love Nino D'Aversa Bakery, have been going here for years enjoying their Awesome Pizza, Pasta's and Pastries. They have a Great selection to choose from as well you can enjoy real italian icecream, never a disappointment and the staff are very friendly, it is a pleasure to return to Nino D'Aversa Bakery!

The desserts were pretty good, the hot table was mediocre at best. Way overpriced for slightly better than hospital grade food. The place is a little run down inside. My biggest issue was the price, followed by how rude the tall old guy who looks like Mr Burns from the Simpsons was. He has no class and has no clue how to deal with customers who are not regulars or native to the style of food they serve. There are some great places in Woodbridge to eat and get a coffee but this is NOT one of them. Take your money somewhere else.

Stopped in for a coffee and a loaf of bread. The latte was o.k. But the people working there got some kind of attitude.

Horrible customer service, the guy at the counter has a big attitude problem, you do not need to be in business if you are the owner or an employee, stay at home and be miserable do not pass it on to your customers, to many time you businesses think you are doing the customers a favor we are just trying to patronize you so get it right.

Ordered one large pizza Quattro stagioni. An awful smell of a stale food made me worried, while I was driving home. Opened the box. Square footage impressive, indeed. In front of me 4 stagioni mixed in only one. The topping mostly black olives with traces of cooked ham. Smell unpleasant.
While cautiously eating the first slice, all of a sudden I hit a hot spicy patch, and gave up, as I do not tolerate too spicy food to the point of allergic reactions. Only a few pizzas, at least the Italian ones are spicy, and quattro stagioni is not supposed to be one of them.

In any case I threw away the rest, saving my wife from the misery. Ah yes, … the experience cost me $31

Was told pizza was really good Nd ordered a party size.pretty good but it was cooked in the regular pizza oven.but if you order a round one is cooked in the wood burning oven.trying that next.some say not thefriendliest place but the staff and the owner were so nice and engaging.really liked it.too stuffed for dessert but they have lots of great pastries too

Nono D'Aversa is with in walking distance of my home. I pick up dinner from there once or twice a week. The menu is extensive and the selections are authentic Italian. Pizza and Ponzos are freshly made while you wait or you can order for pickup. The sandwiches are scrumptious (my favorite is veal with hot peppers, provolone cheese, mushrooms and and a little tomato sauce), mouth watering! You can also dine in or enjoy your meal on the patio. Staff and management are helpful and very friendly, and of course they know their menu like the back of their hand! My rating for this establishment is 5+ stars!

Amazing gelato that is made in house with unique flavours like fruit di bosco, cakes and pastries? Make their own in-house pizzas and breads. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant and especially this location.

The absolute BEST Italian bakery in the GTA. The pizza is incredible and the cannolis are to die for. I come here regularly and always make sure to recommend here to everyone I know!

This well established bakery has all you need. Whether it's for a quick espresso or you need all the fixings to set up an extravagant sweet table at a function. A must for anyone looking for quality and reasonably priced bakery items.

Great tasting pizzas and excellent hot table with many choices to choose from ie pastas to meats. Good coffee and pasties

A local bakery in the heart ofWoodbridge. Here, you will find an assortment of local grocery items, hot food items, pastries and cakes, and coffee bar. Their pizza is baked in a wood oven which gives it a nice flavour. Parking may be limited here only because lots of people come in and out to visit.

Amazing cappuccino, great staff.
I also had a panzererotto there.
The wood fired panzo was fabulous.
Great value on the meat and cheese. Worth a visit for sure

The bald guy behind the counter is mad rude I am never going there again. Man touched my oreo cookie ice cream and took my napkin too. Real weird people working there. Disorganized. Rude.

The pizza is mediocre, the hot table is ok. I usually come here for deli and bread. The customer service is terrible. Everyone that works here is extremely rude especially the older bald dude at cash.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The old man on the phone was yelling at me and answering me in a rude tone and kept telling me to wait. I do not recommend eating at this place, only if your looking for a fight.

Trash place! I will never support this business again. They’re extremely rude and if you’re not a regular customer there get ready to not even be seen. Does not seem sanitary either. Breads were out in the open and the pizza is not as good as it used to be a few years ago. We ordered a sandwich.let’s just say you’re better off making it at home. Will never go back there. Horrible customer service and not good food.

Nope. They have a sign on their door that says masks mandatory and yet none of their staff had masks on and it was so congested and disorganized so I walked out.

HORRIBLE customer service. Deserve 0 star. My husband went to this bakery this morning as we were looking forward to trying their produce. The staff served everyone except for him, and after 10 minutes, asked him in a very rude tone what he was looking for and pointed at where to look in a waving manner. As a first time customer, and as this place is not very obviously organized, he asked where to pay and the middle aged man just tapped on the counter without saying a word. Should I mention the other customers were treated like royalty? And should I also mention my husband is asian? You're not seeing us again. Worst bakery ever.

Terrible customer service. I was in the store when the owner was yelling and screaming at another employee. Awful experience.

Over all this location has been around for many years and at one point was the spot to go to. Unfortunately some things have taken it down hill. The owners are great to deal with and keep the staff in line and making sure they are doing there job. Unfortunately some products are not as fresh as they use to be. The pizza is okay but not as it once was. The staff can be extremely rude it’s as is they are doing people favours by serving them. With some small changes like I said above this could be a 5 star location again.

Great pizza! I always order Romana and D’Aversa (add sun dried tomatoes too it if you like and it makes perfection). Their pastries are so good too, I love the eclairs and tarts, and definitely their fresh cannolis, specially chocolate flavour.

The hot food options for lunch are delicious, the staff is polite and funny, in the summer the gelato quality and variety is amazing, and the espresso is as expected from an Italian bakery: . Love to comeby every few months when I'm in the area

I always walk here in the summer for some pizza and gelato. This place is the perfect place to go to satisfy both cravings, and I never encountered a problem here.

Just went to Nino for late night snack and every desert that I got is stale and disgusting. No taste with a hint of lemon in every dish.

Had some really good deli meats, fresh cheese and buns. Before packing them in a cooler for a day on the beach.

If you want real italian food and atmosphere this is the place. Great pizza, coffee and selection of italian dry goods and other food products. Staff is super friendly.

If I can give zeros to this place I would by far the worst customer service I have ever seen. Waiting and waiting for a coffee and never being asked for help. It’s gets worse from there. It’s just a waste of time to go to this bakery. Like I said zeros

1st time here: nice bakery, cafe and hot foods section however, the pasta was dry and the bbq chicken piece was the thinnest driest fillet I've ever had. The best part is it costed 20$ with tax.couldn't really finish it but at least the bun it came with was really satisfying lol likely won't go back for "dry & expensive" hot food but maybe pizzy

Amazing Pizza and friendly service. Also love the Italian cafe feeling it has specially as many of the patrons are all speaking Italian. Have been going there for years.

My favorite place for gelato! Mango and blood orange is amazing! Also recently tried lime and strawberry. The customer service is great I also love that their open late! The parking lot is always full
