Nodo Junction

Decent place, for some Italian food. What really stood out was the desert.
The banana bread was insanely good.
Main dishes overall were quite good too

Several dishes we ordered seemed to be suffering from “shrinkflation. ” The arugula salad had only a few matchstick sizes of pear and less walnuts than usual. The gnocchi was missing the corn and mushrooms almost entirely, I had to go searching for the few morsels. My husband and I had got takeout from them several times during the pandemic and decided to go to the restaurant to celebrate his birthday only to be disappointed the quality had gone downhill.
The service was great, though!

Having been a regular for several years I was quite disappointed. The same pasta that was $19 is now $23
Inflation is not 20%.
Furthermore the portion was HALF the size.
This is uncalled for…. I find this totally unacceptable.

This restaurant needs to update its hours. It says open til 10, but in fact stops taking orders at 9. Ergo, closed. Food usually good, if you want to eat at your parents bedtime. Do better NODO, pretend it’s a city.

Came here with my sister and we had the focaccia, marinated olives, burrata and the grilled octopus. Caesar’s were worst I’ve ever had - so id stick to the wine list- but the service was excellent and the food we had was also good. Solid 4 and I would come here again.

My all time favorite restaurant. Cosy and friendly as a small neighborhood restaurant with expertly crafted dishes. Ideal meal: bottle of red wine with pizzas and end with the tiramisu!

I’ve come here a few times to catch up with friends and haven’t been disappointed. The servers are super attentive and the food is delicious as well!

This was my first time coming here and I have to say I was blown away! The service was amazing as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Dominica was absolutely amazing, attentive and came around exactly when we needed her.

The food! Omg! Amazing! We had the calamari, orecchiette, ravioli and tiramisu (the best tiramisu I’ve ever had) I would recommend all of these items.

I actually can’t wait to come back here! Such a good find.

We’ve ordered from here a bunch of times and been in the restaurant once, and it’s been delicious each time. Their gnocchi is incredible. Can’t recommend them enough!

My wife and I held our daughter's baptism here and it was a remarkable experience. Gianmarco and his team were amazing to work with. Communication planning the event was clear and thorough, and the day of everything was as we hoped. Each course was delicious, and the staff were very attentive ensuring nothing was missed. We are so glad we chose Nodo for daughter's special day.

Great food! And probably the best service in the neighbourhood. They actually seem to care about their customers.

I ordered a drink, we then ordered a drink for a guest and food. They items never came, I asked one of the servers about my guests drink and they forgot to input the food and drink. I after the drink came I asked if they had ordered the food and they said yes, in truth they still hadn't punched it in. Then we started seeing people arriving after us eating first, what a joke this place is. I went back to the server and they checked on the food it was never ordered. We had to wait like 1.5 hours to eat or more and they didn't giver any discount. I would never visit this dump franchise again, way, way overrated, absolute garbage experience treated like trash. With so many choices in the Junction, I highly, highly recommend you choose another place, there's no way it can be worse.

Everything about this place is absolutely perfect. We sampled a huge swath of the menu for my birthday dinner and every single item was at least fantastic! The Gnocchi and the Arancini are the best I've had. The staff are AMAZING. You owe it to yourself to try this location if you haven't.

I had high expectations of the food seeing how popular they are. My cocktail was beautiful and delicious, but the food (calamari, pizza, fish) didn't quite meet my expectations. They were fine but didn't wow me.

They were pretty packed on a Friday night so service was a bit slow. We probably won't make a second visit since there are other restaurants we like better in the area.

We went to Liberty location right after we left CNE for late lunch. Nice patio. We had a blonde waitress she was friendly, service was good. I had Caesar salad.portion size was good we were able to share it with all four of us. The best Caesar salad I ever had. Caesar vinaigrette dresing was Arancini were good $13 portion size kind of small $20.50.
Had Poggiono pretty sure it was $17 the thing I didn't like about the pizza the sauce was too sweet. Toppings were good.

The side street patio is incredible, get there just before the sun sets as it will get very busy otherwise. Amazing daily specials great staff, really unique pizzas, you won't regret coming here.

Waited 20 minutes during a not so busy evening before asking if we could order. He said one minute, than were ignored for another ten before we got up and left. Meanwhile everyone but us was getting helped. Awful service.

I really don’t leave reviews but my experience at Nodo this week stayed with me, and for that reason I think warrants one. Food was okay. Chicken, which was one of the more expensive dishes on the menu was very average. Food aside, it was the service that took me aback. Our server had no idea how to read the table and rushed us many times through our dinner. We spent just over an hour at our table, so it was not as if we’d overstayed our welcome. What was the most alarming was the end of the evening when we paid our bills. My partner and I ALWAYS tip. When we paid our bill, the selected tip didn’t go through on the machine and the waitress turned to us immediately and angrily told us that there was no tip included. We had no idea and told them that. The couple we were there with mentioned that they had trouble selecting tip and had to click it several times in order to be recognized. We began checking to see if we had cash to leave instead and the waitress said passive aggressively “well, it’s too late now! ” We had no intention of leaving without tipping so the waitress found a way to add 1 cent to the machine as a workaround. Super strange interaction, even after mentioning that our intention was of course to tip, the waitress was quite rude and it was upsetting to feel accused in this way. I’d heard good things but was disappointed with our experience.

Nice food and staff is very helpful, enjoy the window seat and sunshine. Surprised by the cocktails because it’s same tasty as the food!
Desert is another important part!

Man this places pasta is incredible! They have such good options. Unfortunately they don’t have any gluten free options. However I’d highly recommend them if you don’t have celiac ate here all the time before!

Been here a few times and its always great. Walked in without a reservation this week and they took us no problem at all. It’s a super chill, easy going vibe with high end beverages and amazing food! Servers were super friendly and the tiramisu to finish it off was to die for.

One of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. The beef carpaccio, gnocci, and risotto are.my faves.

Came here for dinner and the pizza is absolutely delicious, I recommend the potato pizza and the calamari. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Prices are very fair compared to the portions and quality. I would recommend this spot to friends and family.

OMG run here. The food is excellent, service is lovely and the ambiance was relaxing. We had the cheese plate - yum! Fried Calamari - yum and mushroom gnocci. Wowza! Fantastic date night.

Had a lovely dinner with friends. Place is smaller than I expected but the food is authentic. One note is to ask the server to request for less salt on the dishes as we found it was a tad on the salty side.

We order a variety of dishes including octopus, seafood linguine, burrata beet carpaccio, and the fish fillet. We added some sides like chop salad, rapini and cauliflower which were great. The wine was really good at affordable prices. The server was very nice and checked on us frequently.

Overall, it was an amazing meal compared to other Italian restaurants we tried. They do not take reservations so bear that in mind when planning to go for dinner.

Went there for dinner, we ordered a pizza and their linguini/seafood pasta. Had a table in no tome and food came in 10 minutes or less. Pizza was good and the pasta was so delicious.
Their menu has a lot of options to choose from.
Recommend this place if you’re craving Italian food?

I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastas. I had the pappardelle with duck ragu which was well portioned and seasoned nicely. The service was also very attentive and friendly. Sunday lunch was very quiet and a good time to visit to snatch a table. Dinner time gets much busier and reservations are highly encouraged.

Delicious Italian food and a very cozy environment for a midweek glass of wine after a stressful day at work.

A Saturday night out. The fish was simply the best meal I've had in ages. We started off with warmed olives and a glass of wine. Who knew warmed olives tasted so good! Friends had Cornish hen and gnocchi.apparently also amazing. Service was excellent. Atmosphere perfect. Definitely going back!

I had some of the best Italian food ever at Nodo! As vegetarians we had the Pianezza pizza and Rigatoni - it was the perfect amount of food for two. We’ll definitely be back next time and will leave room for dessert. Paulina was our server and she was incredible!

I’d like the owners of Nodo to read this review.
I’ve coming here since it opened (junction location). We’ve been ordering regularly for pick up in latest times to continue to support our local restaurants. Every time I call to place an order for pickup I’ve either had to call a million times for someone to answer the phone or I’ve been told they are too busy and not taking pick up or delivery orders. So I physically went there to place a pick up order, they were not very busy. Then I waited 30 mins to pick up my order when they could have taken my order by phone!
Wondering if the owners know about all the customers being turned away?
It’s not worth going to such great lengths for a place that doesn’t value the customers/business.

The food was imaginative and flawlessly executed. The wine list has great options across an array of price points. The arancini is unforgettable. The browning was perfectly even crispy and light.

Good service, good food, and rightfully busy on a weekend.

We hit this place on a warm afternoon on the weekend, so it was nice to cool off inside. Lovely service and stellar pasta. The pizza was good too, but the duck ragu pappardelle was outstanding.

Sat on the patio and it seemed as though there was only 1 server for the whole thing. Food came out at different times and the pizza went to the wrong table. My beer came out at the end of all our meals… either understaffed or overwhelmed. Unfortunate for my first visit. Good news is that the food was fantastic and so I will be back.definitely deserves another chance

I am obsessed with the food here. Me and my friends try to come for every special occasion. The gnocchi is out of this world.

I think we've eaten here a half dozen times, everything we have tried is delicious, food to the wine list, all of it.

Visited Nodo last night for our first patio meal since the reopening. We've also gotten takeout from Nodo several times over the last 6 months. The food is incredible, the patio is nicely situated on a side street, the service is great and the prices are reasonable. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the Junction.

Visited this location for a quick dinner after being out all day. Food was great and the vibe was really welcoming.

This was our 4th time ordering at Nodo Junction. Every time, we are so happy with the choices we made out of their menu.
Great selection, good portions, tastes amazing and the presentation on take out is a fun experience.

Unreal pizza! Delivered to us hot and delicious, with authentic chewy crust and amazing toppings. Everything you want in a pandemic pizza!

This review is long overdue, and of course my visit was prior to the pandemic!
I dined here with a good friend of mine after hearing great reviews! And it did not disappoint! The food was well prepared, beautifully plated and all the flavours were on point! The Arancini was so crispy and the filling of mozza, peas and ragu di carne. JUST WOW! The rigatoni was very good and the mixture of meats was very complimentary! The beef was well seasoned and tender, and sat on a bed of asparagus and delicious smashed potatoes!
So 10/10 for food most definitely.
This is a great spot for a date night or outing with friends. I look forward to visiting once in door dining is permitted.

We had read the reviews previously and were just passing by and thought that we would get take out. We went into the restaurant to order and the waitress comes up to us and asks if we know what we want. This was our first at this restaurant. We asked if we could see a menu. She said no due to COVID you need to order online or know what you want. I guess they don’t want new customers.

Everything about this restaurant experience was perfect. Had the beef carpaccio, pear, gorgonzola, walnut and honey pizza, and duck ragu. It was all fresh and delicious! The staff were friendly and the owner was present at the restuarant, welcoming us and helping at our table too. I will certainly be coming back again.

One of my favorite places to hangout and eat.food is authentic and delicious. The staff is so personable you feel like you're right at home! Love this spot!

I went there tonight for my fiance's birthday. After reading the reviews I thought it was the perfect place to go. We wanted something low key yet delicious. We were blown away by not only the great service! But also by how delicious everything is! We had speducci (lamb skewers), calamari and shrimp, the cold cuts/cheese platter and our mains. Everything was incredible! Cooked to perfection and perfect portions! We were so full we took our mains home. The drinks were as perfect as the food! Our waitress was a doll and even though it was jammed packed, our meals came promptly. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! And the best part? Totally affordable! I was pleased to be full, satisfied and go home without paying hundreds of dollars for a dinner out. We will DEFINITELY be back AND recommend this place to our friends! Well done Nodo! Bravissimi! A presto!

The food is simple but amazing. They dont take reservations which can be a bit of a catch-22 but if you plan things last minute it's perfect.

We did not have any drinks so I can't comment there. But the food was really good. A mix of tapas and main dishes which covers the gambit and is best described as simple done perfectly.

I went to Nodo in the Junction this past weekend for a birthday party. We were in a private room in the basement and it was lovely. The vibe was so cute and I love how intimate it was. Prices were affordable and the food was beyond amazing! Loved how there were so many options including gluten free which is a huge plus considering my partner is celiac! Interested to try out the St Clair West location as it is closer to me. Overall highly recommend!

Amazing place for a family dinner. A bit loud but the service and food is wonderful. The brussel sprouts are perfect starters and the gnocchi is my favorite entree. Highly recommended.

Very enjoyable meal. The Lamb was very tender and the portion sizes were reasonable. The atmosphere was very quiet and candle lit, would be a nice restaurant for an important date or anniversary. Service was great, very friendly and patient. Enjoyable evening.

Best Italian food in the city. Very affordable wine list and the menu itself is amazing value. Have never had a bad night here; whether you're craving pizza, pasta, meat or fish there's something for everyone. The staff there are so friendly and welcoming and are one of the many reasons this has been our go-to spot for over two years. They don't take reservations and are always busy but the bar is a great spot to wait for your table. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed. Valentines day reservation, fixed menu was a huge rip off $65/person for a horrible selection.shameful to Italian cooking. ZERO stars if possible, NEVER returning!

Best Italian restaurant in the area. Friendly and efficient service. Nice ambiance and decor. Best of all is food quality and taste. Very authentic. A favourite of mine since day one.

It was a last minute decision to go have dinner and it was a great decision. I am experiencing food coma.

Service: our waiter was professional, funny and so friendly.

Food: fresh and made to perfection. We ordered the pizza bruschetta for an appetizer and the evening specials (we could not wait to eat it and we didn't take photos). I ordered trout and she ordered pasta with meatballs.

Overall: 10/10.

Delicious food, lively classy-but-casual atmosphere, and friendly and attentive staff. They also have a decent selection for vegetarians, especially for an italian restaurant. Can't stop going back. Gets busy Friday and Saturday, so go any other night if you can.

Ordered calamari/ shrimp and a carbonara with a tiramisu for dessert everything was fantastic. Service was good, I spent 65 dollars everything said and done with a tip and I don't regret it. Will be back.

I love Italian food and this place was the BEST! The staff were all so kind, accommodating and attentive. And the food was to die for! Every item we got was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back!

The food is excellent and service is very friendly. I always enjoy my time here but wish the service was a bit quicker / more attentive. The first time I was never able to order dessert as the server only asked one or two members of our group. The second time we ordered wine for the table and the white wine came out almost 20 mins after the red. I've had a white pizza, the arancini and the gnocchi and all were delicious!

The food was simply middle of the road. Dry Salmon and soggy octopus. I'm certain that it was frozen. I'll give them another try because of the other reviews and the possibility that it might have been a bad night.

We have always had a pretty good experience with Nodo. Service is very good, food is great, especially the Papardelle, pizzas are good.

Over hyped. So many better options in the city let alone the junction. Maybe the other location is better. Meh.

Located in a great space of an old building with high ceilings. The pasta was very good as are the salads.

The service was not the greatest nor is the food that good (especially for the prices being paid).
The soup however was delicious!

I've been to Nodo a number of times now since I live in the area. I'm always impressed with the attention of their staff and the energy that you feel when you walk into this restaurant. The junction is filled with restaurants that rival the best from the city, but this is one of the best. The food, ambiance and service have combined on each visit for a very positive impression.
