The snow removal guy worked very well, did the job in reasonable time. Priced at reasonable rate, been using them for over 4 years now. I would recommend them anytime.

Extremely poor service and entirely unequipped to handle their customer base. Not once have they managed to be on time for snow removal and on several occasions have arrived more than 13 hours after the initial snowfall. On those days, we have had to plough the driveway ourselves. Not only have we been doing our own ploughing that we have paid Noel do to, they have also not responded to a single one of the emails we and several other households have been sending over a 3 months period. Not one single response. Whats worse, now they are asking us to pay additional fees for the extra accumulated snow that you have continuously failed to remove in a timely manner resulting in us having to do it for you.

Avoid this company at all costs.

As with many others I see in the reviews this is our third year using them and the service has gone drastically downhill. Show up about 12 hours after snowfall finishes, can’t get out of the driveway for work, can’t get back in after work because the snow plow ridge is still there. Never answer the phone or respond to emails. Terrible business sense. We will not be using them again.

It’s quite frustrating when you look down your street and every single other house which uses a different snow removal service has a clear driveway and nobody will even pick up the phone at Noel’s. We get there was a storm. That’s the whole point of using a snow removal service. If you can’t provide timely service, perhaps this is not the right industry for you and folks should consider other services to take care of them.

My daughter just arrived from England and Cory had one of his operators clear her driveway asap. The fellow was very friendly and curtious

Their text message system that's supposed to warn you about when the operators might be clearing snow doesn't work and i missed a clearing after a snowfall but they didnt even attempt to clear the snow left by the plow in front of my laneway while others on the same street serviced by them had been. When I mentioned this to one of the operators I was able to track down he said they are in a hurry and it's not their fault if the notification system doesn't work.
He ended up clearing only half of my laneway and I had to go wave them down again to do the other half. I understand long hours doing monotonous work is difficult but a contract is a contract and it is supposed to be fulfilled without goading.

Like another review here mentioned any emails/phone calls/social media messages go unanswered. Customer service is literally non existent after they've received your money.

My landlord hired these guys for snow clearing they never show up. People need to get to work early in the morning drive way never cleared they never provide a proper service. I'm a tenant and I'm doing all the shoveling/snow clearing. Don't relie on or give your money too these guys they are not reliable.

While in Sandyhill I witnessed one of their drivers cursing and yelling at other drivers because they were going down a 1 way street and he thought that he had the right away because hes in a plow and wanted them to backup meanwhile hes also yelling at University students cursing and swearing because they were walking on the sidewalk and he almost hit them because he was not paying attention pulling out of a laneway Super unprofessional.i will never use this company based on what I witnessed. Someone should inform him that 1 way streets and pedastrians get the right away.

Review pending the result of an ongoing illegal snow dump on property issue that has been communicated to Noel’s Operations Manager Jake Caldwell.

We have to pay almost 2,000$ for one season including adding salt to melt the snow but they are lazy to add salt as the contract. I complained many times but the phone and email of customer service seems not good as well. There was not any action or explanation.

It is obvious that NOELs is not prepared to do snow removal for large snowfall amounts and cannot handle their current customer base. It has been 30 hours since the snow started and not one flake has been removed from my property. They send emails saying that extra crews are out and that most everyone has had a second pass and I never even got a first pass. My vehicle has been in paid parking (street parking ban) for 24 hours to facilitate the snow removal and no one shows. They are now costing me money; well more money since I paid in full for the entire season. Emails go unanswered, phones unanswered, their voicemail is full (which I am certain is on purpose since this complaint was also noted by someone more than 6 months ago), they do not respond to replies to their Tweets, nothing. Very unprofessional. The contract that THEY made up and send to customers says removal of snow within 12-24 hours. They are in breach of their own contract. Others in the neighbourhood have been serviced but I have not. This is an unacceptable, unprofessional, and quite frankly shady business practice and I do not and will not recommend NOELs

Noel is not a reliable company. They took a contract for our building and did not remove the snow from our driveway during a storm when we needed them most. This left us to remove the snow ourselves and damage our vehicles in attempting to drive out of our building. I would highly recommend going with another company.

Couldn't get into my driveway around Christmas time for a week because they never came to plow it out

I rarely leave a negative review, but I am trying to protect those people from falling into the same trap that I did based on reviews. This is the first year I’ve decided to treat myself as a single mom to snow removal to make my life easier. It has been anything but that with this company!

There had only been two snow falls so far this year, and they they have breached their contract twice (both times). The first snowfall they didn’t even bother showing up even though there was 8 cm of snow in the contract says they will come after five. They didn’t even bother replying to my emails then.

This second snowfall, of 30 cm, of snow they didn’t bother removing any snow, and simply pushed it to the side of my driveway and my entrance so that I no longer can use either properly and have to remove it myself.

Not only had to remove the snow myself each snowfall, but am left with a compacted snow ice mountain dump which they push to the side making it significantly harder to remove. I wrote them many emails and left voicemails to tell them about what has happened and they didn’t respond to any.

They have breached my contract every snowfall so far this year, and I have asked for my money back, and I have still haven’t heard from them. My neighbour has had the exact same experience with them as well. I will take them to small claims court if I have to, but I’m hoping that they will at least try and do the right thing and reimburse me.

Whatever you do, do not hire these people to remove your snow. You will be left having to remove all of your snow yourself, and mitigate the extra work of working through the mess they leave behind too! Removing the snow yourself is so much easier and better alternative.

Damaged my porch and my other two neighbours property last winter during snow removal and cannot get in contact with them. Emails and calls go unanswered, and we are left with thousands of dollars in damages. This company is a scam.

Have used Noel's for past 3 years now for snow removal - they are wonderful and professional company - can highly recommend. We live downtown so we need to move our cars from our driveway for snow removal - their alert notification system is ideal for this. They have never missed our driveway on snow days and very responsive with their timing.

Great service. Struggled with other contractors. Not this one. Good time management and ETA of when they're coming, and they handle our narrow 110 year old shared driveway well.

After the recent heavy snowfall (over 48 cm), Noel cleared the long driveway across from our house and then created a huge pile of snow across from my driveway and on either side of our driveway on our side of the street, so that when we wanted to clear the snowbanks from in front of our car there was no place we could put it. This does not make for neighbourly feeling - we are still stuck without a car 7 days after the storm because we can't get out.

On the other hand, the customer must have been pleased because his driveway is clear to the pavement. I suppose the contractor feels that because we aren't customers, it doesn't matter if we are inconvenienced.

When there's a problem (like maybe they inexplicably skip plowing you after a once in a century snowstorm) they are impossible to contact. Phone calls go to a full voicemail box. Multiple emails go unanswered. 24 hours after the storm I am still unplowed, though they did all the other contacted houses on my street.

We are very disappointed in the complete lack of communication and the 12-hour late snow removal. We hired the service so we could get our cars out in the mornings to go to work, and getting the snow removed 12 hours later does not help us at all. We have sent multiple emails and have never had a response. I will NEVER use Noel's again and would cancel if I had any chance of getting my money back.

The finest snow removal contractor I've had here in Dow's Lake over the past 23 years. I had to go through several disappointing companies and one-man shows to finally discover Noel's via Facebook and speaking to existing customers. Reliable and thoroughly professional. Thank you!

Snow removal in Sandy Hill area. Always notified of plans to send out equipment. Long narrow driveway was always cleared. Street entrance clearing followed and often a follow up check.

We have used Noel for our snow removal for the last few years. They do a great job and by far are the best snow service we have used. Would highly recommend them!

I used Noels Ottawa for snow removal and was extremely satisfied with their professional service and excellent communication.

Noels has almost completely displaced the previous service provider in the downtown in only a few years, for a good reason. Good event communication, the plan is always sent out so you aren't wondering if they are ever coming; the back office accounting is organized, the operators are sent out at times that make sense for us (and not them), and the drivers are pro handlers of the skid steers in tight places.

Recommended. -1 star because we wish they had access to a real (large) truck for cartage. Our previous provider could clear the snow mountain from our lot edge-to-edge for less overall charged.

Always sent emails to let us know when to expect them for plowing and what they would do - 1 pass or 2, removal of ridge row left by plow, etc. Reliable and good quality service.

Noel's did an excellent job plowing our driveway this winter. They showed up promptly and the city bump was always cleared. Thank you for the good work.

We've been using Noel's for snow removal for several years now. Exemplary service, prompt and thorough. Expensive but well worth the money. We especially appreciated the addition of Bobcat-mounted snowblowers last winter and this year and the email notices before every storm to let us know when to expect them. Will happily sign up again next year.

For the second year, NOELs Ottawa has provided excellent snow removal service for our driveway. The operators showed up in a timely fashion and efficiently cleared our driveway, returning as soon as the city plows went by and clearing snow again from the end of the drive. The operator also moved snow away from either side of the foot of the drive so that we had room to back into the street easily. Also, we received timely communications by email for every snow event, letting us know when we could expect to see them come by. We couldn't be happier with their service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a snow removal company next winter.

Noels snow removal services have been excellent this year and last (when we began using them). They are prompt and communicate as soon as there is forecast of snow so that we can plan our movements. They also return to clear the ridges left by the city. Will use again!

While I was probably at the end of their scheduled run, their regular operator never missed a beat. Always serviable and flexible in dealing with the snow. Plan on using them again next year.

Hired Noel for the first time for snow removal in the Glebe in the 2020-21 season. We were completely satisfied with their service.

I have dealt with Noel's snow removal and landscaping for some 20 years here in the Glebe. They have consistently performed in both service areas and did so again in 2020/21. We have a large driveway which needs some careful maneuvering. The company also did a beautiful job building a barbeque/seating area including fencing and stone work. (at a great price) Prompt, courteous and stick to their word! If I have ever had any concerns, Cory himself calls me and deals with it. I highly recommend this company!

Noels did another great job clearing the snow off of our shared lane way. The emails sent before each snow fall were amazingly accurate in terms of timing and number of visits to expect that day. Very professional with zero surprises!
