I ordered from NORA for my team and I during a business event and they were very accommodating and the food was great. I will order again without hesitation.
Excellent food, great service. The young male employee immediately greeted me when I walked in. He was kind and courteous. The food was outstanding. Thank you, I truly appreciate it. I had the beef Shawarma.
I have been here alot of times earlier but now these guys have been constantly increasing the prices and decreasing the quantity of the food. The ambience is not good. A/c doesnot work, washrooms are untidy. In my opinion i will give only half star out of 5
Staff is nice and quick and the food is generally pretty good. Prices are ok but nothing exceptional ($10 for a chicken pita after tax, for reference). They have a variety of toppings plus some unorthodox ones, like chick peas. The food won't blow your mind, your wrap will almost definitely fall apart as you eat it, and I found a bone in my wrap yesterday - but honestly, that wouldn't stop me from going again if I was in the area. Maybe a plate would be better from here, or a shawarma poutine.
The food was ok, but I felt very thirsty, bloated right afterward. Also, my stomach felt uncomfortable. I wonder if they use msg in their food. Me and a friend ordered the food at the counter. They automatically put both orders on the same bill without asking.
Needed to use the washroom really bad. The guy at Nora’s counter was like it’s only for customers without even greeting or asking if wanted to buy anything. Well, too bad, Osmows staff across the street was so nice that i was compelled to buy a wrap from there and left them a tip. Sometimes, people are in need and that’s when you build customers.
This is one of the best middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes middle Eastern food. They also have one of the best poutines in Toronto, especially the Shawarma poutine is a dish to absolutely die for. The customer service is also one of the best you will find in Toronto, the employees are very nice and respectful. There is one employee named Robin who is the most kind and chill guy you will ever meet.
It was 12 am, we went to dine in because it says it was open until 1: 30 am so I ordered 2 combos, they made us the shawarma and gave it when I asked them for the fries realised they didn’t even put the fries in the fryer. We asked them if we could dine in as they prepared our fries they DENIED it. They asked us to go out and eat in the cold where as we were just 2 people without a car on a windy night. I ended up having an argument with the young guy there and he said he didn’t want to clean the table again. Been in the hospitality industry for 4 years now never faced this in a restaurant. Food was good tho but when you sell food you also sell the experience but your employee ruined it for us.
I got the beef shami kebab wrap and fries - the fries are shockingly good, potatoey and crispy.ask for hot sauce and garlic sauce:) staff are great, very efficient and attentive
I would give 5-stars to the Chicken Souvlaki Shawarma no doubt! Super delicious and hot, enjoyed every bit of it from the sauce to the salad. Safe to say the best platter I've tasted in a while (and I've had Halal Guys recently). The beef gyro was a bit disappointing since it was quite soggy and the meat was so savory I had to drink lots and lots of water afterwards. This I would not recommend.
Nora Shawarma has immediately become one of my favourite restaurants in the downtown of Toronto. The staff is always friendly and greets you with a smile and a warm welcome, the prices are affordable, but most importantly, the meals are huge and taste like heaven!
This is my usual stop after an exhausting work day, and I never leave disappointed. The Chicken Shawarma platter is my foremost recommendation to any new visitor, with Beef Gyro being the close second, and the entire Specials menu is worth a try.
I had the shawarma poutine. It was ok. I like stronger/tangy cheese on my poutine, which wasn't the case here. The chicken could do with bit more seasoning. It was pretty mild. But portion was good. So over all ok.
Customer is first, I went into the shop to order, but the clerk was talking on the phone and I waited for a few minutes, but he did not care about my order, and I left the shop.
I ordered a daily special and the sale price was not applied when i saw the machine. I called the worker who punched those numbers and asked to check price. I would've given a benefit of a dpubt but him making a correction without even trying to find out what happened infers to me that the wrong price was punched in deliberately. Food was good.
They usually are open till 5 a.m midnight on Friday & Saturday. Great place to hangout and enjoy mouthwatering chicken and beef.
Also, Jumbo poutine is the best in town. I am giving 5 stars because they put extra cheese as well as extra gravy sauce everytime I order. Friendly employees with quick making skills!
I ordered one beef gyro platter and beef shawrma. Sharma was ok, but i didnt like the gyro-it was filled with sause and mayonnaise. Quantity was good. Staffs were friendly and good behavior, but didnt like the taste.
The food was pleasant and it tasted very good. The portions are reasonable and the rice tasted good. The chicken was the best part of the meal, It bumped my rating from a 4 to a 5 for sure. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for a shawarma place.
I specifically asked for medium hotness for hot sauce and actually even asked her is that how you rate your spicy-ness? She didn’t respond must be having a bad day or something which is understandable. I asked her again did you put hot sauce in my wrap? She said Yes. I went home and ate the whole thing thinking there might be some hot sauce in the bottom of the wrap. None. So disappointed ️. I called back on the phone and said. You lied.
I got the beef gyro platter. The employee was very nice and attentive, and gave me the correct custom order. Prices are great, very affordable! Taste is alright, and they gave me a generous amount of sauces. Minus one star because they didn't give me very much meat, only around 2-3 ounces.
I was impressed with the quality of the food, because the price is very cheap. The food is delicious and has lots of salad options. My order was delivery everything arrived correct, and the food was still warm. I recommend.
Was downtown with family last week of December 2020 & needed a quick bite toeat. We chanced upon Nora’s while trying to navigate the labyrinth of one-way streets in the Kensington Market area and opted for their amazingly priced Monday special of 2 chicken shawarmas, which also tasted amazing. Chicken was moist & sauces were flavourful with noticeable hints of cumin & mediterranean spices. Shawarmas were tightly & properly wrapped for neat eating! Great taste, great value! Check them out if you’re in the area.
I have never felt happier after eating a chicken shawarma wrap. This restaurant is so good I cry every time I walk in. Fresh. Crispy. Delicious. Crunchy.
This evening I had a Plater with Chicken Tandoori Leg. It's was delicious and I can say one of best tandoori leg in Toronto. Thank you the staff who was in his shift, you made my evening. Highly recommend the place. Thank you. Keep continuing the best service.
Ordered 2 chicken sharwarmas and it tasted great, no idea why anyone would complain about the salt or portion. The wraps were pretty big and would definitely get it again.they also have gyros and everything is HALAL. I would have posted a photo but the food smelt too good and just had to devour it
Just finished a chicken shawarma plate and it was super tasty! My only complaint would be that the chicken was just a tad too fatty and I'm not one for spicy. I think the potatoes had heat which I wasn't aware of. (I told the guy I didn't want any hot sauce). But despite all, even with the heat it was really yummy. Portion wise I see alot of people on here saying portions were small but this was actually really filling. Definitely can't complain and would probably eat here again if I'm in the area.:)
