Nord Lyon

Great experience today at Nord Lyon. The buffet is varied and nicely presented. The service is excellent, the food is fresh and is resupplied regularly. I recommend 100%.
This bakery makes the best pain au chocolate in Toronto, my sister abroad orders them for me every year for my birthday.

A favourite weekend brunch spot; great variety without sacrificing the quality of any one dish. At brunch, they have amazing focaccia, an omelette bar, pancakes, coffee/espresso, soft liquor, select pastries and some charcuterie. Value is off the charts.

You can also grab pastries/French confections from the café. I've been several times and am always keen to bring friends here (self-servingly, so I have an excuse to go).

I came to this establishment today with my best friend for the buffet. Upon arrival, everyone was friendly. However as time went on no one came to check on us to see if we needed anything or even if we were enjoying ourselves. But they were fine asking all the other tables if they needed anything or if they were enjoying the food. Anytime we needed something we literally had to hound the server down. The food was bland, lukewarm and was not fresh at all.

The dessert table didn’t have much of a selection. I was surprised because I had seen a few videos and they all looked so good. The best part were the croissants. This place was definitely not worth the money I spent. Everyone don’t come to this establishment you’re better off spending your money elsewhere.

Their toilet is very dirty and stinky, I went there I am kidney patient just have to go toilet in emergency, when I enter at store and ask for use restroom she asked me first place order and then I can go, I had to order coffee, I am fine to pay, but again staff is rude, get rubbish coffee it’s just hot water, just throw in rubbish, they give code to open door even its dirty toilet

Bought a bunch of croissants and when I asked for a box, they said it’s for cakes only. The food is really good, but the service leaves a bad taste.

Bought almond chocolate and pistachio croissants. While enjoying my croissant I chew this hard wood not sure what is it. Anyways it still good and probably something happened in the kitchen while prepping the croissants.

I really thought 35 CAD for an all you can eat brunch buffet at a French bakery was a deal but the quality of the buffet was lesser than a school canteen. I cannot recommend it at all. The food was bland at best, even pastries were sub par. Impossible to qualify as a french bakery. In a city where Marvelous by Fred and Conciliabule are, you cannot go to Nord Lyon at all. Very disappointed.

What a great place I had the croque monsieur and a strawberry croissant. Both products were fantastic. Also the service from the girl at the counter was great. Wonderful

The pastries omg. The chocolate croissant with raspberries inside was absolutely ridiculous! Loved it. Cost me 13$ for a coffee and croissant, but I felt like French royalty.

I love trying croissants and got an order of 3 pain au chocolat today as my first order from Nord Lyon. They were not fresh and tasted a bit off - like a grocery store croissant that was either frozen and then rethawed or had been sitting around for some time. Really disappointed and will be sticking to French made or Aux Merveilleux de Fred for croissants.

I had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible service of Max at Nord Lyon in downtown Toronto, and I have to say it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the amazing selection of macarons and croissants, with the Almond Chocolate croissant being an absolute standout. Every bite was a heavenly explosion of flavor that left me craving more. But what truly made this visit special was Max's exceptional service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure my visit was memorable. I can not recommend this place enough, and I can't wait to return and indulge in the delicious treats and impeccable service once again.

I’m sure the food here is great, when you get what you ordered. I asked for ham and cheese baguette - and got a croque monsieur sans ham and with mayo slathered all over it. Take out, so when I discovered, it was too late to change it. Quite disappointing!

Some of the best croissants I’ve had downtown Toronto! Their pastries were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I loved the strawberry jam filled croissant and the chocolate croissant! There was a lot of pistachio flakes on the pistachio croissant which was really great. We went around 5pm and they still had a great variety of choices for us to choose from which I loved. Will definitely go back!

The only reason that this review has 3 stars is cause the food is good, first time going here but the person working behind the counter is rude

This is my first I have been here. I tried these tasty macarons and the coffee. I loved them and its ambiance I don’t think you can find any place like Nord Lyon. Strongly recommend to visit there. Thank you for having excellent time.

It looks good but th pate a choux is too dry. Also, they put glaze on top of their pastries which is never a good sign.
Anyway, I was so disappointed by the attitude of the waiter. He didn't know what custard was (in a French bakery? !) And he was so impatient. When I paid, he literally threw the box at me. He told me "thank you have a nice day" like a robot at the end. Definitly my experience wasn't good. You can find better!

Very low quality pastries and viennoiseries. Visited them for the second time, but can confirm that each experience revealed how low quality their products are. Pastries are dense, dry, and flavorless.
