I responded to their Kijiji ad that showed pictures of many different tanks. I asked for dimensions of the tanks in one picture, and Neil couldn't be bothered to provide details. Later I spoke to Jeremy who was very helpful and sent me a picture and dimensions of a tank. I asked if the price was $85, and he confirmed in writing. I had them hold the tank for me to pick up on the weekend. It's a long drive for me, and when I got there, Neil wanted $169 for the tank. I understand that mix-ups do happen, and I would have paid more than $85, but Neil refused to make any kind of gesture of goodwill and seemed to be blame me for the mix-up even though I had Jeremy's price in writing. I ended up walking away. Doesn't seem like a good business decision to me.lose a sale to pick up a 1 star review.

Edit: As you can see from the owner response to my review, and those of other negative reviews, they double-down with lies and then blame the customer. Their responses are more telling than the reviews themselves, and they tell you everything you need to know about what to expect if, for some strange reason, you would still consider shopping there.

I visited Noroteck in Norwich, Ontario, over three separate weeks. During my first visit, Jeremy was courteous but unable to find the Class 5 hitch I needed for my RV, leading me to have a custom hitch manufactured. On my second visit, I sought a hitch for my Mazda but the delivery timeline didn't work for me. My third visit was to find a ball mount compatible with my custom hitch. A young salesman aggressively pushed a $400 adjustable hitch without understanding my needs. Despite sarcastic remarks from him, I showed him my RV setup for clarity. I was willing to buy their hitch to see if it could be modified to fit, but was told of a no-return policy. At this point, the gentleman behind the counter, likely the owner, said I would be charged $20 for wasting his employee's time. An older gentlemen then publicly yelled at me multiple times to leave, humiliating me in a full store. I quickly found what I needed at another store just up the road, which understood my needs immediately and provided the part the next day. My experience was unprofessional, unhelpful, and deeply unpleasant.

We took our RV to Noroteck Inc.to have the AC replaced as ours stopped working. When we picked it up we very pleased that it was only a broken wire and a new AC was not needed. Thanks so much for your great service and your honesty. Other places may have just replaced the unit without even checking what the issue was! We would definitely come here again.

Love my little trailer. Bought it during COVID. March 2021. It was an empty shell waiting for my personal touch. Newly built by Noroteck Inc in Norwich. Brand spanking new.
Super cute right?
Took it back today, 2 guys come out and say “ l know that trailer we built it here. ”
“Absolutely you did, bought it from you. Love this little trailer but…. We have a problem. ”
3 guys come out inspect it crawl around it.
“It’s splitting! The sides have pulled away! The floor is lifting in the middle! ”
“This is a major repair. I don’t know how we can fix it”
They talk amongst themselves and formulate a plausible plan.
One of the owners joins us. Conversation turns to liability.
I must have gone off roading.
It has no warranty.
There is no proof l bought it there.
I paid cash. The other owner didn’t put it in the system. There is no record.
I bring out the ownership papers and ask who is Joose Cornelius.
He is the other owner. He wouldn’t come out even though apparently he was on the premises.

Estimated repair is maybe $1000.00
Maybe 10 hours work. They propose using angle iron and rebar bro push it back together.
I ask will you meet me halfway on the cost. No. How about $800. On the repair cost. No
His guys need to be paid and he will not eat the cost.

The card he gave is for Travis Ryan. Parts Manager. That’s not him, guy l am dealing with is apparently Neil, one of the owners.

He tells me no trailer company will warranty a 2 1/2 year old trailer.

Says he can sell it for me.

I am so frigging upset right now. On one hand l get it as a business but l had hoped the would be honourable and meet me halfway. Does reputation not matter?

I would agree if this was a utility trailer that is used daily to haul equipment and tools. After 2 1/2 years that’s a lot of wear and tear but this is a recreational trailer. In the last 2 1/2 years it has had maybe 10 camping trips to Provincial Parks along the 401 and 400 within a 6 hr radius. And it falls apart? The floor buckles and the sides pull away.

So in the end Neil sells it for me. The very next morning. Some 90 year old man bought it as a work project for his birthday. Hmmmm.

Neil thinks l should be pleased. I got my money back and 2 years of free camping.
What about the cost to custom build and design the interior? What about the stress of getting it home from Perry Sound? What about the fact that l am now without my beautiful little trailer?
Yes he got me $4,200 for her, had not been failing apart l could have sold it for double.

Very upsetting

So my advice to you is not to purchase a trailer from Noroteck. The fact that he even tried to say l hadn’t bought it there and l had no proof tells you the type of person running the company.

Now l know from reading other reviews Neil will justify his actions. Say l got my money back. Say l got free camping. Say he has cameras that recorded everything.

Am l wrong for thinking that they should be more accommodating? Am l wrong to think my trailer should not have fallen apart after 2 1/2 years?

We purchased a Master Tow car dolly from Noroteck. However, the system of strapping the car to the dolly is not reliable and not practical. As seen in the photos below, the straps fray on the inside side of the tire which is not accessible for inspection. The manufacturer recommends stopping to inspect the straps every 100 miles (160 kms). However, the straps are not fully accessible for inspection. In addition, with the manufacturer recommending stopping every 160 kms for an inspection clearly means the system is not safe. While on a trip, a strap was not safe to use due to fraying, so we called Noroteck to get a spare set of straps couriered to us, but Noroteck doesn't stock any spare parts for these trailers. In addition, they would not send straps from a new trailer on their lot since "then the trailer would not be sellable. " Why Noroteck would not help out a stranded customer is a bit of a mystery. Horrible customer service and no stock of spare parts. Also, when the trailer was purchased, Noroteck didn't suggest purchasing a second set of straps probably because they didn't have any themselves for sale. It should be noted that the straps for the dolly are custom made according to the manufacturer. We are looking forward to a sarcastic reply from Noroteck since they have posted sarcastic replies for other poor reviews.

Response to Noroteck's reply:
Noroteck did offer to order new straps for us from the manufacturer in the USA, but why would I pay markup on a product that Noroteck doesn't even stock? We ordered straps directly from the manufacturer to avoid paying Noroteck any further money. In addition, if training was required to use this system correctly, why was it not offered at the time of purchase? The owner's manual make no mention of dealer training being required. Further customers of Norteck should not that Norteck didn't address any of the concerns raised in the first review regarding lack of parts, poor customer service or ensuring spare straps are sold with the trailer.

Never returned phone calls. Once they finally answered their phone they said someone from parts department would call me back which didn’t happen.
Response to your comment…I have call display. Your company did not call me and I left two different messages with my correct phone number. I’ll find another dealer. Thanks anyways

Was able to purchase a scratch and dent new Rv refrigerator much cheaper than a regular fridge. The fellow on the parts counter was great to deal with

My husband took our trailer there for service on the recommendation of a campground owner. It was a huge mistake taking our trailer there. Each time we called to see if it was ready they had found something else wrong that was working fine when we took the trailer in to start with. There was unauthorized work done and other work that he has to get someone else to fix properly. There was no talking to the owner of this company about some of the charges on the bill. Just shut up and pay or we will keep the trailer. And just for the icing on the cake. The battery on our trailer was weak when we took it in but still under warranty from another company. Since we declined having the battery replaced by them. They swapped it out for a junk one. So now since we don't have the original battery that was under warranty we have to spend even more to buy a new battery again. In the end I recommend you buy used parts here and either install it yourself or hire someone else to do it. Unless you like having your bill constantly increase.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Salesman was pushy and when asking for an explanation he was rude.

This place is AWSOME. We have a small motorhome dealership and use these guys weekly. Always helpful and always fair in pricing! Definitely worth the drive
