North Adventure Inn

If you are planning to go far north this is a great place for the price. The rooms were a bit out of date however when we went it was under renovation to be updated therefore my high rating. The staff here are extremely welcoming. When i first entered into the establishment the lady at the front desk checked us in and walked us to the door of the room we were staying and hooked up the services for their google chrome. They have a community area with a bar, free billiards table, dart board, piano and tv inside. The food service/drinks were timely and the entertainment was great. When we requested to use the hot tub outside in the gazebo we let her know and she opened up the hot tub for us and brought us extra towels. Once we were done we told her and she closed everything up for us. The breakfast was brought to our room at the time that was discussed the night before and it only cost us 12 bucks per person per day stayed. At first glance seemed not to bad but after a further look not impressed! Sofa on the floor with garage underneath it, we had no cups to drink with and the beds well never seen anything like it not very inviting.but however we had an emergency and needed to leave they did offer a 50 dollar refund which im still waiting for. They were only going to bill me 125 but I was billed the full out! Will not recommend this place to anyone truly is not worth the money!

I was up in Cochran for a snowmobile trip. Stayed at the North Adventure Inn. I find it a great place for outdoors people like us. The rooms are older, but spotless even had a fireplace. And a balcony. Excellent bar and entertainment room. The food was great. We had karaoke night. We even were offering complementary beers when we signed in as we were late after breakdown, they waited for us to arrive. I very friendly hospitable people. Looking forward to going back this month. This is by far the worst place we have ever stayed in. The whole place smelled of cheap perfume and was filthy. Our room had no garbage can, the bathroom had a broken toilet paper dispenser, the walls had grime all over them and all the light switches were sticky. The main light switch had some kind of dark dried substance on it? The washroom shower stall/bath tub had not be cleaned in a very long time. The walls had several dried quashed bugs that had been there for a very long time. The carpet was stained and filthy. There was an old unused TV and Phone from the 80s just left unplugged in the corner of the room. The couch had a gaping hole in the arm rest. There was some kind of bug's in cocoons in every corner of the room. Exposed electrical wires hanging out of the air conditioner. The list goes on and on. They even tried to charge us for an extra night, saying that we had not checked out properly in the morning when in fact we had paid in full the day before and told them we would not be staying another night. This place is just gross.

I really enjoyed staying here very friendly nice people. Great place to start off your adventure in the north.

I am completely dissatisfied with the Uhaul head office in Ottawa and their pickup and drop office in Cochrane.called North Adventure inn. We were rented a dangerously maintained vehicle. They rented it to us with cracked bald tires knowing that we had a 2200 km
with a full load. We lost 2 days at our business. And incurred
Lodging and taxis for 2 days being stranded in Guelph when 2 tires blew ou. All the 6 tires were defective and needed replacement They overcharged us by about 2000.00 and have been avoiding compensating us. They promised to settle up but have not done it over 3 weeks after we asked to be compensated for over charges and loss of income due to their neglecance. I am giving Uhaul a 1 out of 5 but will give a good rating if they settle up.
This is the first time we have been cheated and are very dissatified with Uhaul and the Cochrane outlet North Adventure inn.
They have never settled up 3 months later

3 months later and they haven't refunded the over charges.
Do not deal with either Uhaul or north Adventure inn!

Old place building, I would give it 2 starts overall!
There was no receptionist until I had to call, Water was very dirty, tried to take a shower I stayed almost 1 hour for the water to be clear.so on!

I really enjoyed staying here, you couldn’t ask for a friendlier reception. The young man in the office was more than helpful and welcoming, room wasn’t anything fancy but nothing at all wrong with it, it was clean and had everything I needed. I enjoyed how far off the highway it was, very peaceful, quiet and a certain comfort knowing there wasn’t passerby’s around your vehicle at night. Highly recommended and will be my go to stop next time
