North China Buffet

Usually this restaurant is good. However tonight the food was cold and overcooked. We went Saturday right at dinner time. Usually it's busy and the food trays are full/steaming. This time the food trays were pretty empty sitting with overcooked food. Won't be back again unfortunately.

1 star is a generous rating as it deserves a 0.
Went at prime time (saturday at 530) and the food was greasy, cold, and way overcooked. The noodles were hard and the salmon looked like it was sitting in the tray for 3 days and smelled awful.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

Service was Excellent!

Food is OK for what you pay for. Good variety, good number of veggies. I felt full and left satisfied, will definitely go back again!

It is not a 5 star restaurant, but it is a very decent, very well priced, nice restaurant! Well worth visiting!

I’m so sad to leave a review like this, but consider this a warning. Food was extremely oily. I am not sure if they reheat their food, but it’s definitely not made fresh and the dessert is stale, not edible. It made my family sick we had food poisoning. Definitely not worth it. Definitely would not recommend. The only good thing about this restaurant is that the staff is friendly and nice.

A good place in Belleville for fresh, hot and delicious Chinese Food. You will find your favorite Chinese dishes and the soups are great!

I ordered dinner for 1 Aug 10th, 2023. I am at work, and had been craving Chinese Food for awhile now. Had to order delivery as I'm on my own. The meal was fairly warm which was nice, however, I got 3 chicken balls and entire container of rice/chow mein, the cheapest thing in the meal that cost me $15. The rice was extremely watery (probably from the chow mein), the peas in it were not cooked. The chicken in the chow mein was soggy and gross. This will be my last time ordering from this restaurant. Buyer beware!

The food was hot but some of the dishes were on the greasy side. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side for what was on the buffet.

Fresh, hot and delicious dishes, friendly service and a spacious atmosphere with booths. Family friendly with loads of booster seats and high chairs and our 4 and 2 year old kids ate free. The fried foods were exceptional- crispy and fresh. We came during the dinner rush and the constant stream of new hot food meant we ate a perfect meal. There were not a lot of vegetable dishes. The soups were excellent and there were salad options.

The first time ate this place. Very bad. I will not come back. The place to keep ice cream is very dirty and dangerous with small chip alliminum. It is easy to fall into food. The owner did not care about a healthy for client.

New owners appear to backslide back to the old ways. Broccoli had a weird and off-putting taste. The chicken fried rice seemed overcooked. Even the salmon fillet had an old taste to it. We went on a Saturday night right at the dinner swap, so it should have been fresh. I will not be returning.

Absolute worst food I've ever had. Overcooked, tasteless, not fresh. Worst Chinese food ever. Do not waste your time or money.

Dry food and cold food it has been sitting for hours, not enough selection, tasteless. Waiters and waitresses and managers are amazing but the food isn’t it. Desserts are stale and ice cream is extremely soft and melts very fast. Overly priced as well for the food. Don’t waste your time I wish I would have listened to the reviews….

Everything we tried was delicious. Great selection, great taste, great service and all for a good price. We will definitely return.

Affordable all you can eat under $20 per person. Not very busy when I went and very spacious. Wide assortment of Asian to American food. Not much staff.

North china April 22 2023 meal sucked
I was very disappointed in tonight's dinner order# /check # 73292 dated 04/22/23 at 17: 06.our order was $128.20 as we order for 2 nights' dinner. We ordered 8 egg rolls that were so full of salt that made them Inedible, not sure if you make them in-house or have them shipped in but we will not be ordering them again. The chicken balls had very little meat in them and we ordered 2 orders, they were mostly breading and the cost was not worth it, we also ordered the soo gai with almond gravy, this dish is to use chicken breast but the amount of chicken that was in it the chickens must have been anorexic and there was maybe 1/2 cm in thickens of meat. The last time I saw a chicken breast it was at least 1.5 to 2 cm thick. The sweet and sour pork was mostly gristly fat which also made it Inedible. I understand that costs are going up but I would not expect the quality to go down as you have raised your prices to cover the cost. I am writing you before I go to social media to see if you take my complaint seriously. I have seen your reviews but since we have not had a bad meal from your establishment, we are returning customers. Please make this right and tell me this is not your new normal. We order from North China Buffet as it is normally very good and regardless of the bad reviews. I await your reply on how this will be corrected, your email address will not work and your contact us on your web page will not work as well.

I would give a 1 as the food was disgusting. But the server we had (Celina) was very nice! However. Food. 0 star!

Excellent behaviour, friendly. They even gave us some food for free as we were there during the closing time. Thanks a lot

We went in for my husbands birthday dinner. There was 2 tables next to us, one with a dad and 3 boys, the other a dad and 4 boys. We enjoyed the many food options and each of us ate 3 heaping plates. The servers were very attentive in clearing our plates and keeping our cups filled. We went to pay and the lady told us the dad with the 3 boys paid for the dad with 4 boys. And he paid for us. We have never had that happen to us before. All the tables left were only 2 diners so we all decided on who’s bill to pay. At the counter my husband to the lady about what had happened. She said it is good luck for a random act of kindness to happen to you on your birthday. It was a great night with a great surprise.
