Sauce was lacking on the vodka sauce - pizza was dry. Delivery was slow and it arrived cold. Would not recommend the donair sauce, the flavour is sweet yet sour tasting, not very palatable. The only good part was the garlic sauce. Much better places for pizza in the city.
The dough is the stand out feature. That crispy yet chewy balance with a touch of char. We grabbed the Margherita with some fresh arugula on top. Very very good.
One of my favourite pizza places in Toronto. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve had their pepperoni pizza. They never disappoint, if you haven’t had North of Brooklyn you are missing out!
Delicious pizza arrived straight from the stove. Plenty of toppings, the dough is crunchy and soft at the same time. The creamy garlic dip is a must. It's freshly made, great selection of ingredients and tastes organic.
P. S. Personal thanks to the manager Kris for making this happen! He is a great guy!
Love me some North of Brooklyn! First time at this location. We were the first customers of the day. Margherita 18” was perfect and ready in 10 minutes. The sauce is light and fresh. Dining area is small so it gets pretty warm inside once the ovens fire up. Highly recommend!
The pizza was great and it came out pretty quick. It isn't a place you want to linger though. While there are three tables, they are first come first serve and it is very hot (unsurprisingly because of the pizza oven). Would suggest you order the pizza in advance and takeout.
Hands down the best pizza in the GTA (your mileage may vary). Thin crispy and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. They get the New York style perfectly right. If you’re in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and stop by. Prices a bit high but it’s worth it, trust me
I ordered one large pie with half margherita and half NY Cheese with two garlic dips for $31. It took like 15 minutes for the preparation of the pizza. The NY Cheese was better than Margherita. Overall, the pizza was really good and one large pie is enough for 3 people to share. Note that you have to buy the whole pizza as they don't serve by slice. There's seating space for just 8 people. So, it's mostly a takeout place.
cute little place, don't let the big sign outside fool you, you might just miss the door they were pretty busy we had a 40 min wait for our pepperoni pizza, ate it hot and fresh in store. They have a couple tables to sit and watch while you wait or eat. Smoky inside but we didn't mind, smelled and definitely tasted good!
Will come back to try other combos, this was snack time and we wanted to try the basics before venturing, didn't disappoint
Beautiful. Had the NY Cheese. Toppings absolutely delicious. The choice of cheeses, all work so well together. Cooked absolutely perfectly, so crispy yet so light. Tomato sauce on point. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Toronto, no doubt.
First visit today - definitely not our last. Great NY style pie (definitely a "slice" of Brookyn!), cool, Queen Street vibe and knowledgeable, attentive staff. Well done, North of Brooklyn Pizzeria:)
My boyfriend and I were sitting on a bench on Queen Street West. The people next to us was having pizza from North of Brooklyn Pizzeria. The smell was divine, and it looked so good. So we asked a bunch of strangers where they got the pizza from. It was about a 2 minute walk from where we were sitting. This was last week. Since then we have bought three different pizzas from this place. All three have been nothing but delicious! This week we are trying a fourth pizza! The service is excellent as well. The place is pretty popular in the Queen Street West neighbourhood because spend a lot of time there and we have noticed many boxes of pizza from this place being carried by a lot of people. So glad we found this little gem on Queen Street West:)
Best pie in the city. The team here are absolute gems. The dough is crispy, flavourful, gorgeous gluten taste. The sauce is full bodied, got that tang it needs. And the cheese combination takes it to the stratosphere. Fantastic. Also love the spot on Geary and dufferin, in case you want some beer with the pie.
We saw an Instagram Pizza review by no other than Dave Portnoy from Barstools ports and he was raving about the Pizza from North of Brooklyn Pizzeria.so we had to try it. We were not disappointed. We tried the NY Cheese Pizza and OMG.a deliciously perfect Pizza. Cooked to perfection, perfect amount of sauce and a delicious blend of 4 cheeses. Crust super thin but holds its shape when you rip a slice out of the pie.the way it's outta be.
Sorry guys would of loved to have tasted your pizza but it never arrived and I think the delivery service you picked is embarrassing! Got sent to a horrible call center which had zero sympathy at 11pm at night… pizza was ordered at 8pm …. Currently really hungry…. Can’t rate the pizza, never arrived
The NY Cheese pizza hits the spot for a proper NY-style cheese pizza craving. They use pecorino & grana padano in their cheese mix which adds a certain nuttiness. The crust is super thin with a perfect bake.
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, the staff are great and super nice also. Don’t get the cheese pizza and add pepperoni - I find it tastes too salty. But if you get the normal pepperoni it’s perfect! The killer bee pizza is stellar.
Cozy place just off Queen St making AMAZING pizza, crust was the perfect blend of crispy and chewy and the toppings were delicious in just the right proportions. The whole restaurant smells amazing as soon as you walk in. Staff were great even though they were clearly handling a massive volume of orders. Outstanding in every category!
Oh my goodness this pizza joint is off the charts good, great friendly service, fresh toppings, a great crust my favourite is the charred bubbles lol, we ordered pepperoni and killer nee so yummy, clean restaurant just be careful when going in watch your step but overall experience 5stars and barstool sports was right great pizza
North of Brooklyn Pizzeria is a one of a kind restaurant and is in its own category. I had big expectations about the pizza and was going in, to be jaw dropped and swept off my feet. I did order their Four Cheese Pie and this is where I believe it felt short. The pizza that was made, wasn't cut properly and the slices were all over the place. The pizza was very thin and the cheese on top of it kept on sliding off. I did manage to get through three to four slices without gasping for air. It was quite a mess. The crust on the pizza has a nice crunch to it yet the undercarriage was loopy and tippy. My expectations fell short from this experience and I hope if I do go to The North of Brooklyn Pizzeria again, the experience would be better. With that being said, I do hope in the future that the North of Brooklyn Pizzeria provides a better customer service experience and has the quality and ingredients that it has published on their website. This is my two cents.
Although the large letters on the wall catch your attention, the actual entrance can be easily missed. An excellent pizza spot hidden in plain sight! Only tried a classic pepperoni pizza, but it was probably one of the better ones I've ever had. Strong recommend.
Clearly whatever pizza Dave portnoy rated was not made the same as the one they serve to regular customers. On a 10 scale the pizza is a 4.5. Crust was nice but the sauce and cheese were flavourless. For a nice NY style pizza Pizzaiolo is miles ahead of them if you order it right
I had high expectations for this pizza and they were surpassed. Incredible flavours and textures. I am always looking for a great pizza place and this one went right to the top of the list. Try it and you will be a believer. I had the Killer Bee and Truffle Shuffle the two times I went.
North of Brooklyn, you guys broke my heart. I was hype to try this pizza.this will be the first and last time I'm ever eating this burnt hockey puck of a pizza. It was super over cooked; and because the pizza was burned it tasted like the dough was old and tough. I decided to try it and had ½ a slice.and now I'm dealing with hardcore indigestion. Had to throw out an entire large pizza. What a waste.
Walked past here the other day and was seduced and drawn into the restaurant by the Spanish dance music playing through the open door. It’s rare during the pandemmy that I hear music out in public that makes me want to shake my hips! Definitely a vibe.
The staff were very accommodating. The young Latinx man behind the counter spoke in a very deep soothing tone as (metaphorically) held my hand and walked me through the menu. I loved his vibe and the whole experience reminded me of being back home. (Thank God for COVID-19 restrictions, he couldn’t see me blushing underneath my mask!) Anyways the helpful and cute staff made for an overall warm and inviting atmosphere/vibe. I had the New York cheese and it was pretty good.
