If you can find another pediatrician, I would highly recommend it. This clinic is the conveyor belts of medicine. You wait endlessly for your scheduled appointment only to get 5-10 minutes of the doctors time. You can maybe have 1 question answered while the doctor is walking out the door. If this is what my tax dollars are paying for, I’d rather pay out of pocket for actual care. I can’t even determine if they actually do an exam, to me it appears as just a precursory look over the infant.

They also told me my son was dairy intolerant. After months of avoiding dairy, another pediatrician said that his symptoms did not match that diagnosis.

The only reason people go to this clinic is because no one else is taking any new patients. Otherwise, this is by far one of the worst clinics in terms of wait times, attitude and overall care for patients. I truly feel bad for the patients that have to wait hours and hours to be seen.
I also hope they take their low ratings seriously and understand that no one likes them. And PLEASE save us the excuse of "we see patients with highly complex healthcare needs and neurodevelopment concerns" They need to do better!

No caring from receptionist at all from this place. The front desk guy was ridiculous. I was told by the other location’s doctor that I could do vaccination as drop in, no appointments required. So I called in to confirm, but no one picked up my call, so I left a message if they will accept drop in for a vaccination. Waited, no call back from them. I actually drive there to see if they are open, because I am alert from the 3 hrs waiting time from our last appointment. I came in with no one waiting in front of me, a guy sitting behind the reception desk playing on his phone.so I approached to ask if I can do drop in for vaccination, no reply from him and he kept tapping on his phone…. I waited to see if he is busy, standing there for 2 more minutes with no one in the line. No respond from him…, later I had to approach again and ask, finally he responded and I mentioned the ridiculous waiting time as well. He said you waited for 3 hours because your kid is healthy. So please tell me not to book appointment with you or cancel my appointment saying you don’t need to see a doctor. How do I know if I need to see a doctor or no? If you think my daughter is healthy, then don’t ask me to book appointment to see you. I really don’t want to see you.

Worst service ever kept me waiting for more than 6 months filling out forms to transfer my children as their pediatrician moved, only to tell me that they are only accepting newborns. I would not recommend this place to anyone, highly unprofessional!

Dr G is amazing and patient. The issue is with the clinic. Nobody picks the phone. They have 1 nurse who is managing everything. Short staffed. There is no way you can book an appointment

They overbook patients, make them wait at their tiny waiting area for hours, and attend them after the closing time. Unable to get another pediatrician we were forced to visit this clinic for our infant and vaccine schedules. The receptionists are terrible, have no experience or skills.

We finally switched to our family doctor.

The doctor G is great. I like it. Explain us everything. The problem is the wait time. They book appointment and make you more than 2 hours waiting with newborn baby. Big line waiting time. Terrible

If I could give this clinic 0 stars I would. Don’t waste your time with this place! The wait times are horrendous. I’m talking at least 2 hours. They have taken on way too many patients, and are extremely unorganized. The receptionists are EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. No one ever picks the phone or responds to your email. Save yourself the headache and don’t bother with this clinic!

Think of irresponsible people! There they are! They canceled my son’s appointment many times without notice! Go somewhere else where there are real professionals and respect your time.

We have visited Dr Barra and she is good pediatrician. The wait time is less as we have booked an appointment and reached there on time.overall the experience is fine.

I have been given the runaround for a simple prescription renewal for over a month now. The office is managed by an incompetent staff who are not fit to complete a simple request like a prescription renewal.

Great Dr!

Dr. G and Dr. Barra are the Pediatricians for my three kids, they are great people, professional doctors! My elder son just experienced Flu this week, his temperature peak over 40C, and very serious cough. I only can make a phone call appointment with the receptionist, Dr. G called me and she ask me to bring my boy to the clinic immediately even I didn’t have an in person appointment with her. She gave us the right solution, my son has no fever and much less cough in the next day. Also my baby twins, they are treated nicely here, I like the nurse lady here, she is experienced and patience, she will guide you correctly when doctors are busy.

Don’t complain they are hard to reach or modify your appointment, like my son, last month his follow up appointment changed 2 times and I have to cancel it at last, because of the unavailable time. So you can see if its urgent case you will get your priority, but if it’s just follow up/ routine check please give more patience to them.

I give four stars for my review because it is little bit hard to get through the phone call of clinic reception, but it’s normal under the current epidemic situation, no matter which clinic you want to contact it’s really hard to get a rapid response.

This is the worst customer service. My daughter's lab results came back on Oct 15 now its oct 26 and they haven't returned my call after 6 times attempt. Doctors are ok but the secretary never returns calls.

I would rate it lower if it wasn't for some of the doctors there.
1. The wait time is horrendous. You have to wait 1-2 hrs for your appointment and if you are lucky, you get 5 mins of the doctors time.
2. Pre- covid staff was ok but now, you can never get anyone to pick up the phone. You leave messages and they never call you back.
3. They lose your swab test. My daughter did a swab for strep throat and was told she would get results the next day. 4 days later, I call and they said they don't know what happened to it but later I find out that it was never sent out for testing.

Too much waiting even doctors talking too much with parents just check up and let them goo. Horrible time waiting

They called me to cancel my daughter’s vaccine and annual exam just 30 mins before my appointment. They told me will phone me before 5pm the same day to reschedule me, but it didn’t happen.

More than two hours wait for a previously booked, not walk-in, appointment is not appropriate for paediatric population (specially less than 1 yr old).

Waited 2.5 hours for an appointment I made over a week ago. I finally walked out. My son was hungry, thirsty and annoyed. Ridiculous

I am currently pregnant and desperately looking for doctors that are taking new patients. I called this clinic and not to my surprise no one answered BUT I got a call back a few minutes later WITHOUT even leaving a voicemail, I was so impressed. The receptionist I spoke to was so polite and helpful and was able to book an appointment for me during this same call. I look forward to attending this clinic, as my first impression with them is already great.

They are very very unprofessional when it come to the wait time. They can tell your appointment is at 4, two hours later, you are still waiting.
If their time is valuable, mine is too.

OMG.i was with this clinic for 5 years.the pre-COVID period was good. DR. Wang, DR. Sonam and my favorite DR. Madhavi were very very good and professional.my whole family loved them. NOTE: i avoided seeing DR. G because her wait time is EXTREMEMLY long.my time is also valuable too.however, the COVID period has changed a lot of things.i was there last week and i noticed that all previous nurses were gone including the receptionist.the new ones are unbearable, terrible, with no respect to me and my time. DR. G told me that they no longer gave out paper prescription and would only send them to the pharmacy i prefer. 2 days past the pharmacy still didn't receive any faxed prescription.the recent experiences were awful.

Were can I start. First of all their waiting time is horridness. I had to entertain a sick kid for at least 3 hours each visit I had with this clinic. The paediatrician will not see your kid during covid time even for an assessment. Their reception is sometimes clueless in what they do. Finally I decided to move to another clinic as I had enough with the drama, and it took us 3 weeks to get a simple letter send over! They had some amazing paediatrician and now the all are gone. All I can say is if you have time to waste this is the clinic to go to.

I would give zero if I could the make appointment and me you wait for 2 hours for god knows what stay away if you value your time and your kids

I had a very positive experience here. The appointment was made with Dr Sonal Khoosal and she first had a telephone consultation with me where she was very thorough and friendly. Then they made an appointment for us the following week and it was right on time. The nurse was very efficient and friendly and the Dr was very good and did a through physical exam of both my kids. My 3 year old really liked her and she generally doesn't like visiting the doctor's office much.
I am very happy with their friendly service. It is understandable you'll have to wait for a little if the previous consultation runs a bit more than anticipated, but as I had two scheduled I noticed they have allocated 15 minutes between patients whoch I think is very reasonable.

THE WORST. They got all the details of the baby and said they’d call back but never did. This happened thrice.
Please don’t waste your time there.

Worst clinic ever in time management. In person appointments are atleast 1 to 3 hours behind, waiting get worse with the toddler. You even have to wait atleast an hour for first appointment of the day. Don't even ask about phone appointments 6 to 7 hour behind. Dr will call you around 10 pm and say oh i was running late when your appointment was like at 4 in the evening. You cannot rely on them if there is any medical concern regarding your baby or toddler because they are always running late. Never replies their voicemails. You have to call office 5 to 10 times to reach reception. Dr G is experienced but she and her other colleagues need to learn if they are busy then rest of us can be busy too, no respect for anyone's time. There is purpose of booking an appointment otherwise people can just go to walk-in clinics.

This is what happens when your dr. Is overwhelmed and has lost passion for the job.and fully allowing the uneducated receptionists to take over and run the show we had been taking the our kids here since 2012 we had "amazing" experience until 2018-2020 then it went to hell.not a place I recommend unless you appreciate complete disregard for procedures lost medical records and dads they will not remember you.you dont exist not cool

This place was amazing for the past 4years however recently we have seen extremely ling wait times. A week ago I did visit the doctor and went in the room after 1.5hrs.

A week after I came back for a follow up, my appointment was at 4: 40pm however we went in the room at 7: 10pm! Inside we had to wait another 50mins till the doctor arrived. All of this wait, even thought the doctor knew that my child had been vomiting 2times in an hour for the past 5hrs.

Since they started their walkin clinics their wait times have been worse, and we also have noticed that the walkins are preferred over the appointments when it comes to the wait times.

I hope they fix this soon before they starting loosing their loyal patients.

Booked an appointment for my daughter at 2: 30pm and right now it is 3: 25 and no sign of the pedetrition yet! Not a very impressive start. Will see about the rest.
Update: we finally had the chance to see the dr at 3: 45. The diagnosis was that my daughter has pneumonia and was given strong antibiotics 3 times a day for 10 days and we were told that if her coughing got worse take her to the hospital. She did get worse the next day and we took her to Humber River Hospital when they were shocked from the beginning that how can a dr say that she has pneumonia without a. X-ray. She did the x-ray and sure enough it was not pneumonia and was a simple cold which needed no medication let alone antibiotics & we were asked to stop taking them. This whole clinic is a total disaster.

Worst clinic. Dont waste your time. The wait times are ridiculous. Even with appt. Its torture for the little ones to wait so long.

Terrible wait times. 2h behind schedule is typical. They must double book every appointment slot. Doctor arrives an hour after the first scheduled appointment of the day. How can the first appointment of the day have a 1h wait? The doctors are good when you eventually see them.

The doctor does not value anyone's time. And upon complaining about the same replied arrogantly and rudely that all her patients are ready to wait 3 hours for her and we were free to go to other clinic if we could not wait for hours.

We enquired over phone before going there if the appointment was on schedule but upon reaching we had to wait for an hour and a half. This was our third consecutive wait of 1.5 hours or more. We are not going back for sure.

Do not get fooled by the usual "examination times can be unpredictable". That's a completely false claim. They give out appointments 30 mins apart and doctor does not spend even close to that much time with 1 patient. It's purely due to time mismanagement and not taking patient's time seriously to create a false impression that she's too sought after.

We found the doctor ordinary and the clinic is cramped for space.

Dr. Madhavi Moharir is amazing. She will take the time to listen to your questions and will give an explanation. The only down is the wait time is too much. But as a pediatrician Dr. Madhavi is amazing. I have had only positive reviews for her.

Quality of care is actually good. Problem with NRHKC is that they have poor facilities with small rooms and small waiting area. When visiting with new borns this can be very stressful there is no area for nursing or even changing diapers. They also have really long wait times like insanely poor schedule management. Maybe they have alot of cancellations and so they double book. This clinic needs to make management a priority.

Absolutely terrible time management for Dr. Gunawaradena's schedule. Wait times are min 1 hr up to 2 or 3 hrs. The when she does get to you, she speeds through your appointment. Do not recommend this Dr at all! Save your time and go somewhere else!

waiting time. Doctor G only doctor, I met, who can properly listen lungs. Even in hospitals doctors very rarely can do this (hopefully they have r-ray)

Literally gave my child medication she knew he was allergic to, luckily the pharmacist at shoppers drug mart caught it. Then we had to call the clinic for them to send over another prescription, which took them centuries to send.

Most recent time back there I went to update my son's vaccination records. Took them 54 minutes to write 5 checkmarks on the immunization card.

An amazing experience with this clinic and really Awesome doctors. Though wait times are longer sometimes but it's really worth it.

By far the worst doctor I’ve seen. Worst time management skills and worst diagnostic skills. Do yourself a favour and take your child to the hospital instead.she has worse wait times than the emergency room at the hospital EVEN if you have an appointment. Takes 10 seconds with the patient and that’s it

We have been going to NRHKC for almost 6 years now and we are very satisfied with with the care of the staff, we received at every single visit. Doctor's and nurses really take the time to check the kid's and listen to parent's concerns. If you don't mind some waiting time prior to the appointment, you will receive excellent quality care.
My family most definitely recommends NRHKC!
