I was given a Rabies Vaccination Certificate that had an expiration date indicating that the vaccine had already expired before it was administered to my cat. The lead veterinarian blamed the technician, but it is the responsibility of the vet who signs the certificate to ensure that all the details are accurate.

For the north town family, I just want to say that I genuinely feel my dog is in a safe environment and with trustworthy staff.

Mango's fracture panicked me like hell, but both the technicians and nurses were there for me, walked me through all the procedures and guided me on how to take care of him after his surgery.

I am glad that I made the right decision of bringing him in an emergency to this hospital. Although the treatment is little expensive but worth it.

Mango says Thank you!

TRASH.quick to euthanize, bad communication. Zero empathy. This is a business and it’s nothing more. You must have to hate animals to work here. Traumatizing experiences and the more I ask ppl about this clinic all I hear it horrific experiences. If you love your pet don’t go here.

Zero stars but I was forced to give one

First time calling. I was super polite. Still trying to articulate my first sentence letting them know I WILL be getting a new puppy in 3 weeks.

Lady at the front was completely over it, cut me off JUST to tell me that they didn't have a doctor in the clinic TODAY. She assumed I needed to see the doctor today which I didn't.

Secondly I AM a medical doctor myself and I can tell u that when ur interrupting a NEW customer THAT quickly with a fake facade of politeness, guess what we see through it.

I waited a year to get my new puppy. And as a dog owner first I would never bring him to a clinic where people are cutting me off.

Who does this lady even think she is honestly? If ur that over it, quit and do another job.

I LITERALLY would have come here because I need to set up a veterinarian fast for my puppy. My father was a veterinarian as well so I understand and respect the field.

I just despise people who corrupt an honest profession because of some butt hurt feelings they may or may not be feeling and disrespecting people because of it.

Disgusting. Not that desperate for a veterinarian that I would go here.

I had to bring my two cats on different occasion and different times to this hospital. Twice I met Dr Scott Yorke. I can say only the best about him. His knowledge, skills and kindness to our pets and to us owners is very impressive and deserves more than 5stars, I wish there was more stars to give. ️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ each time he took his time to make sure everything is clear to us, run only necessary tests, explained about the cost, never suggested any test that was wasn’t not necessary at this moment. We really appreciate his honesty. Both of my babies, Oli and Pomponetti had no or very little stress the way he approached them was so gentle and D very kind. You can clearly say Dr Yorke is in this business because he loves animals and wants to help them the best way. His assistant Vicky was as nice, very gentle, very kind and very professional. She answered all my additional questions in a very informative way. What a great team. The ladies at the front desk make very good first impression, nice smile and politeness.
Highly recommend this team to every pet owner.
Dr Yorke and the team, thank youFrom the butom of our hearts Oli, Pomponeti, Renata and Jack

This place is a BIG SCAM! This establishment is highly questionable and should be avoided. It preys on vulnerable individuals with sick pets, demonstrating a complete lack of integrity, respect, and professionalism. The employees associated with this animal hospital should feel deep shame for associating themselves with an establishment that possesses no class or regard for its clients.

My personal encounter with this place took place in October 2020 when my dog experienced cluster seizures, and I sought emergency services. Astonishingly, they charged me a staggering $450 for a mere 24 hours of care. However, when I recently returned for the same service, I was quoted double the price for only 12 hours. When I inquired about the exorbitant increase, the manager responded with a laughable and ignorant excuse, claiming it was due to inflation. It is clear that inflation did not cause prices to double within a year, especially for a service rather than a physical product. The manager's sly expression almost revealed her intention to deceive. Although the manager eventually acknowledged the excessive amount and attempted to reduce it, I could no longer trust their integrity, as they had already attempted to swindle me.

To add insult to injury, when I decided to leave with my dog, they attempted to prolong the process by insisting on putting a catheter on him, charging me an additional $300 for the catheter and a consultation. Interestingly, the consultation was not genuine, yet they still levied the fee. Although I wanted to make a scene, I prioritized my dog's well-being and promptly sought the services of a specialized veterinarian in Oakville.

Furthermore, the emergency doctor at this establishment demonstrated incompetence and a lack of understanding regarding my dog's care. She made several erroneous statements, and when I confronted her about her inaccuracies, she tried to divert the conversation. This entire experience was utter chaos, and the doctor in question should not be practicing emergency care. It is truly pathetic.

I strongly caution others to beware and steer clear of this establishment. There are far superior veterinary clinics in Brampton, unlike this fraudulent operation.

I have decided never to engage in any further business with this establishment, and I intend to share my experiences with the five people I know who frequent this place, urging them to seek alternative options. Rest assured, my actions will not end here.

I called on Wednesday night because my cat was not breathing properly, they told me to check a few things over the phone which was reassuring. They told me I should still bring him in to have him checked to make sure nothing severe was happening. Turns out they took him downstairs found out he was having heart issues and was suffering, they were very understanding and compassionate about the whole situation and gave us our time to make our decision. Thank you for taking care of my baby and making sure he wasn’t in pain anymore. The staff were super sweet and understanding that this turned into one of the saddest days of our lives

A horrible accident happened today to my pup. The silver lining was that we went to North Town Veterinary for his emergency care. They were understanding, compassionate, supportive and provided amazing medical care. They worked with my puppy who was fearful in having the area touched, and found a way to make it work with him (not an easy task!). Because of the situation, I was in distress too, and the moment we came in I could feel my distress dissipating. Thank you for your kind words, empathy and compassion.

I also wanted to make a huge note here, when we came in they took him promptly for triage and the vet came in to see him quite shortly afterwards. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who clearly puts their hearts into the work they do.

I hope that my post can help direct anyone looking for an after hours veterinary clinic, or for a veterinary clinic that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend, my pup too.

I brought my dog here two weeks ago as she was on her last days of life. I never experienced such horrible and inhuman service from a team dealing with a customer who was saying goodbye to their best friend. The pricing here is insanely ridiculous and they take advantage knowing that you are vulnerable. I would not suggest anyone to visit this clinic, after my payment and experience here I called other local clinics to find out they overcharged me by hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately due to the time of events I had no choice but to take my dog here as they were the only ones open 24hrs however that should be no reason to be over charging customers and taking advantage of them at the worst of times. Please do yourself a favor and only use this clinic if it's the absolute last resort you have

I lost my dog last week. These people were so incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. They are true professionals in every aspect, from the Veterinarian to the front desk staff. I cannot say enough good things about this vet office. They were there for myself & family on one of the worst days of our lives, & they did their very best to help.

No compassion at all from one of the ladies who worked the front desk during Covid in Apr 2022. She almost prevented me from seeing my 15 year old dog who was very sick and had to be put to sleep on the same day I brought him in. The doctor who was treating him allowed me to come inside and spend the last hour with him before he had to go. This moment was continuously interrupted by the rude lady at the front desk. Looking to see if he is still comfortable and not having breathing issues as he was in the oxygen chamber before that. I was monitoring his breathing the whole time and knew he was okay. Everytime I drive by that hospital I get upset and angry when I think about my experience there.

Had to take my cat last week very late at night. I was very worried about reviews but all of the staff were very friendly and empathetic. I was very comfortable with all of treatment for her. Even though I did not care how much cost her's treatment but every single time vet discussed it with me first. Emergency visits are expensive and sometimes need several times visiting but this is not their fault. Whoever considers bringing your family (pet) I fully recommend this vet hospital. Thank you for all of your efforts! Hali is perfectly fine! I am very glad to bring her to you.

I’ve had a few interactions with Northtown over the last 2 years for my three dogs. Every time they have been so helpful and went above and beyond to help us. Recently my dog needed emergency surgery and the staff saved his life. Big shout out to Vicky, who jumped into action and went above and beyond to get our dog the care he needed. I can’t thank them enough for everything they have done!

Terrible experience. I called ahead to find out where would be the fastest place to take my dog but when I tried to check in they said 2 hr wait. It’s just a cash grab, they don’t care about the dogs at all. I called Wexford Animal Hospital and they got us in right away and they were even cheaper which was a bonus.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NORTH TOWN TO ANYONE

Thank-you for continuing to provide Gunnar with the most amazing care and largest amount of love. The receptionists are so caring, the veterinarians never seize to amaze me with how extensive their knowledge is, and the technicians are so wonderfully helpful and compassionate.

We brought our girl Lola in after hours for urgent care after she was vomiting all day and became listless. The staff at this clinic were attentive and wonderful. During the initial long wait (I called around and all the after hour vets had equal or longer wait), they kept us informed of expected wait times. Lola is fear reactive so they provided us a seperate room where she could stay calm. We had to leave our girl a few days so she could get hydrated and be observed for possible surgical intervention. It was frightening but they kept us updated and welcomed calls from us at all hours to check in. In the end there was a hefty bill but I was actually refunded some of my initial deposit! This isn't my usual vet but I wouldn't hesitate to bring my dogs here again.

I specifically chose Northtown for Dr. Benjamin's care. I have seen 2 other Vets also and both have been just as amazing. EXCEPT LISA AND THE LAUGHTER LADY (They laughed when I told them my father was dying in hospital and I didn't have time for their B. S.) the other girl is great (not the purple hair girl) They have emergency care so I never have to worry about finding a vet. They also take pet insurance and it's always no hassle. I sound like a commercial but I actually recommend Northtown to all my friends and family. Thanks you for such great care Vets, Techs &

The worst possible vet hospital. We brought my 7 year old cockapoo here because he was seizing and we left him there for over night seizure watch, they did not call us to update the frequency of his seizures and that he was in critical condition throughout the night. The next morning I called them three to four times asking for an update and they said that the doctor is busy and that they will call me and that they’re looking at him and that he looks fine then we get a call that he passed. They put a seizing dog in a crate and didn’t even realize he passed until after. They didn’t offer any answers as to what may have happened and the fact they didn’t think to let us know there’s a chance he might pass is beyond ridiculous. These people only care about money. They didn’t diagnose him or even come up with ways to help him and treat him. They simply kept medicating him with seizure suppressants which weren’t working. Please do not take your dog here.

Had to take my fur baby here yesterday after a super scary fainting episode he had. The receptionists were very nice, the vet techs were informative, sweet, caring, and gentle with him. They went over every possibility of what could have happened and were very thorough with the exam. Mr. Curtis was such a sweet man who reassured us every step of the way. Everyone who works here seems to care very much about the animals who walk in here.

I will note that yes the care was expensive. Maybe a little more then other vets. But this is an emergency 24/h vet hospital and it’s to be expected.

I feel they gave my baby the best possible care he could have gotten and I’m very grateful for them.

I recently visited North Brampton Vet Hospital with my dog for an aural hematoma, and my experience was terrible.

I was charged upfront for an exam that was incredibly superficial. The vet didn't bother to check my dog's temperature, and failed to examine her healthy ear. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of thoroughness and attention to detail.

The treatment options offered felt very unreasonable. They quoted me $700 for steroid treatments and bloodwork, which I found to be outrageous. Even worse, they recommended surgery that would have cost upwards of 3K.

To make matters worse, I decided to seek a second opinion from a different clinic and found a much more thorough vet who recommended a steroid priced at around $50. That is a ***$650 difference****. INSANE. The doctor I went to specializes in ears.

That experience coupled with this one makes it clear to me that the owners are only interested in making money, and don't have my dog's best interests at heart. It felt like North Brampton Vet Hospital was trying to take advantage of my situation and charge me an exorbitant amount of money for subpar care.

To top it all off, the vet didn't seem confident in handling a larger dog, which made myself and my boyfriend uncomfortable. Overall, my experience at North Brampton Vet Hospital was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality veterinary care.

To the reader: I recommend going elsewhere and if you're already there reading this review, *absolutely* get a second opinion on whatever they quote you.

A huge thank-you to the North Town team for caring for Gandalf, our Springer Spaniel. We drove all the way from North Bay where we couldn't access care and believe me, the trip was worth it! Gandalf is feeling 100% again!

If i could give 0 stars, i would. I have never had a good experience here.i called ahead with my emergency as my dog was bleeding out and they said bring him in. I got him there and they told us sorry its going to be 7 hours.why not tell me that on the phone. The woman i spoke to was so rude as well. Dont bring your emergency here as clearly they dont care.
22 February 2023 18:33
Wish I could give them no stars, worst place ever. After I went to pick up my puppy she was shaking the rest of the evening and on top of that they did nothing other than take X-rays wish cost me close to $800. I you love your animal please spend the extra gas money and go elsewhere if it’s an emergency because this place is brutal. No integrity, only interested what’s in your wallet. Should’ve heard how excited they were when I asked if they take cash.

This place absolutely saved me tonight. It was a godsend to find a 24 hour regular vet clinic (not an emergency-specific clinic whose abilities are unexpectedly limited).

The vet was extremely lovely, knowledgeable, patient, and warm. It was a salve after a pretty terrible experience.

My issue was finally addressed. I wasn’t upsold during a vulnerable time- in fact, the vet did some problem solving to help keep the treatment cost-effective.

Very much worth the drive all the way to Brampton!

I had a very negative experience at this animal hospital. I'm writing this review as I hope to help someone avoid having a similar experience.

My dog was bit by another dog and had open wounds on her back leg. In my worried state, and having been a Sunday evening, I brought her to this animal hospital based on the decent reviews I read.

Upon the vet examining her wounds, she brought up things that weren't relevant to the reason I brought her in. The vet was asking me how often I brush her teeth, and clean her ears. Also mentioning that I could purchase an ear cleaner from them as her ears are mildly irritated. I was fully aware of her ears being slightly inflamed and was already on a treatment for them. The tone of the vet was extremely sales like, and it didn't seem like my dogs wellbeing was in her interest, at all. I was the one that needed to circle back to the open wounds on her back leg being the reason I'm here. Not her ears.

It was recommend to have stitches. Which I gave the go ahead for. However, the cone that was given to my dog was too short and she reached one of her stitches at night and ripped it open. When I took my dog to a different vet for a follow up, the first comment was that the cone was too short. This really makes me question the quality of the vets training here, or their motive if they can't provide something so simple as a properly fit cone.

Also, the other stitches that were given here (not the one that was ripped open) ended up opening on their own within a few days, again exposing the wound. I did research that this can happen, and isn't necessarily part of the vets doing. However, the other vet we continued with follow ups recommended to leave the wound open and preform frequent bandage changes instead of stitches. Again, makes me question if stiches were ever required. Or, a wound clean up and frequent bandage changes would have allowed the wound to heal on its own. Having it be less invasive for my dog, and less expensive. Again, makes me question their motive here.

I recognize every vet has their own professional opinion. However, this animal hospital definitely rubbed me the wrong way. I will not be returning.
