I've been with Dr Sahota for several years and find her to be friendly, professional and on point with her questions and answers.
She's super jacked up with record keeping and technology and that's a big plus in my eyes!

A lot has changed because of Covid, our medical folk have been sorely tested thru this pandemic. I am grateful to have a family doctor when so many people are struggling to find one.

Only sign up to go to this practice if you enjoy long delays on everything!
Reception staff are a nightmare, don't try calling the office. Firstly there is always a long wait time on hold and if you manage to speak to a person, they are usually less than helpful. Email requests get answered but it was taking up to 4 different requests to get a medication filled. And not the addictive meds - these are the ones that are needed for your health!
The nurses are pleasant enough but all but one are extremely rigid. Stay away unless you enjoy being annoyed and frustrated at every turn!

Anytime I need an appointment, my doctor makes herself available. Way better practice than my last by a million percent. Never been into the office and don’t quite understand the negative reviews. People should feel privileged to even have a family doctor instead of beating them down.

I have been waiting on hold for at least 30 minutes to speak to someone by phone to make an appointment! I decided to post this negative review as a consequence of the shoddy customer service at Northfield Medical while on hold. Oh the irony of it all. Ridiculous!

Addendum - After 37 minutes I finally got through after being "first in line" for about 20 minutes. I took up one minute of the whoever answers there calls. I reiterate about this place.rediculous!

This doctors office is the absolute worst doctors office I have ever attended in my entire life. I have been a patient here for 10 years. In the last year I had a follow up call to figure out if I had cancer or not. I waited all day for my appointment via telephone. 20 minutes before the telephone appointment my appointment was canceled.
In FEB my family doctor left the practice. I emailed staff communicating I wanted to remain a patient. Today I was notified that due to lack of organization and communication I no longer have a family doctor and have been dropped as a patient. The practice would not allow me to schedule an appointment and there was nothing the reception could do for me. I clarified “so there is absolutely no possible way of receiving any help or an appointment today or in the future? ” And the receptionist working today said “no unfortunately not unless you go to a walk in clinic”. Completely useless staff.
Avoid this practice at all costs.

I had an appointment booked that took over a month to get in the first place. Northfield canceled this appointment the day before it was scheduled. I had to reschedule and am now another 6 weeks from seeing a NP. This isn’t even to see a doctor. Nor was a reason given as to why my appointment was cancelled. Extremely poor patient care!

I need a prescription to refill my pills. When I tried many times to book an appointment via pomelo platform it was always showing "no more appointment available". And then I made a phone call. I had been staying with the phone for 25 minutes, No body answer it.

Worst experience of “health care” I have ever experienced. If one member of my family didn’t need medication they cannot receive from a walk in clinic, we would go back to walk-in clinics for our health care. It was far superior to what we are stuck with now. Absolutely appalling that they can represent themselves as part of the health care community. They truly do more harm than good.

Doctors and nursing staff here are great, but their office policies and procedures make being a patient incredibly difficult. Good luck getting through on the phone (1 hr+ waits, hyper specific phone answering times), and they won't let you book an appointment over their appointment booking platform. Frustrating and inconvenient. I don't know what needs to change, but I find myself delaying seeking treatment because of these issues and I suspect I'm not the only one.

The new portal presents 'Flue Shot' only at the stage of Select an appointment type; no way to proceed to next step. When I called the office, it says 'The office is currently closed'. How to make an appointment?

Tried calling on a couple different days, during the hours listed on their website. Each time I called, I got an automated message saying they were closed. Without walk-in appointments and not being able to call, how am I supposed to get an appointment?

This place is uncontactable. No answers in the phone, and the automessage they left on the phone always says the office is closed. There is no service here.

It seemed like a good place but everytime I go the doctors seem like they don't care about my well being. They don't help me at all and trying to contact this place to make an appointment is impossible! They do not make it easy to book appointments and they also push pills as if it’s going out of style.

We had to switch doctors because my other one was unprofessional, rude and sometimes just clueless. Since we switched here they've been nothing but helpful! The doctor is amazing and my baby likes her too. The receptionists are always kind and helpful whenever I have a question, they aren't condescending or rude about them too. I'm so glad I found this place!

The WORST customer service I got like ever.
I like my doctor and the nurses but the receptionists is rude and does not know how to talk to people in a professional manner. I kept on calling to book for 3 days and I get put on hold for HOURS and I am not kidding I have screenshots. Then on the 3rd day I decided to call the other extension. They picked up and transferred me to CORI DR. Bell's receptionists, I told her I have been trying to call extension 2 but no one answered she accused me of lying and claimed she never got a call. She kept on yelling and telling me she does not have time for me and said she will use my info to sue me if I complain about her anywhere. I talk to one of the nurses there and she got the manger to talk to me. The manger emailed me saying that CORI is sorry, she had her phone on do not disturb. I am starting to really hate this place because of the front line workers and their disregards to our calls. The phone should always be answered just like any doc's office and their receptionists should be respectful to us. If this happens one more time I will be out of there for good.

I have found the front desk staff to be delightful. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. I am polite and pleasant to them and they are always the same back.

My family doctor is nice and knowledgeable but that's the only positive thing. The clinic makes it extra difficult to access your doctor, difficult to make an appointment if you work 9-5. Most of the time the clinic closes at 11: 30 am. Overall, I am surprised that no one is holding these people accountable. I also don't understand why the good doctors aren't standing up for their patients.

I had ultrasound done in June, 2020 with rush appointment due to COVID-19. I had some issues with my health.
Now its August 4th, 2020 still waiting for result.
The issues I had with my health it is same no change but.
Still I will say they are good because I can say I have a doctor

It is a beautiful place, very good Drs and the best and most dedicated secretaries. Do not take your personal frustrations on the staff.

The building is new and modern. I like it because it is multi-functional, lab, ultrasound, hearing test, dental, pharmacy etc.are all in the same building, you do not need to visit different places. The doctors I met are pretty good, the only thing I do not like is it is too hard to reach the reception, the line is either busy or "our office is currently closed". Sometimes you have to call several times a day, which is not easy when you are at work. Nobody picks up the phone during lunch time, 3 pm on Friday you only receive the message "our office is currently closed".
I called at 11: 45 am, the message is our office is closed at 12pm to 1pm, please call back at the business hours. WT?

Initially I had trouble booking appointments over the phone. So I decided to stick to email only.

Folks, if you’re having trouble reaching the office via the phones (Frankly, the hours are terrible) try email.

I never have a problem booking appointments now.

Despicable service by the administrative team and select healthcare practitioners. I’ve seen the medical professionals here make assumptions about my health without asking me questions beforehand. There is zero regard for the patient’s long term wellbeing. I made a mistake coming here.

Recommendation for the business - add chat support and option to call back.staying on the phone for over 20 min waiting to talk to someone is not acceptable.agree with most negative reviews - doctors are good, but administration and phone support is not good.

I read through all the reviews first, but the bad ones seemed older and there were some recent good ones. Desperate after not having a family doctor for over a year, I gave this place a try. Even though I went in three months ago to sign up and they put an actual sticker on my health card with my patient number, my first attempt to book an appointment by email they were unable to find me in their system. Five days later they finally found my record and then offered me an appointment six weeks later. When I replied that wouldn’t work for me, I was told if I wanted an appointment sooner than six weeks, I had to call in. I tried calling during the limited time they actually answer a phone for a week and a half. If they actually answered, they immediately put me on hold and never came back. All I need are some new prescriptions for medication I’ve been taking for years. I will be going to a walk in clinic today to get them done. I’m sure they will drop me as a patient now, but it’s no loss since I appear to not have access to a family doctor at this clinic anyway.

No time management or punctuality. If you make an appointment (2 months in advance, do not expect to get in quick) you will be there 1-2 hours after your appointment time before you see the doctor. Then you have a 15 minute checklist they go through and then leaves. That has been my experience so far. Very disorganized.

Update* They booked me for a specialist appointment, so I waited about a month and a half (which is reasonable) - I get to my appointment with the specialist and it was the WRONG doctor. They mixed up the doctors with the same last name, so now I have to wait to get into the CORRECT specialist due to their lack of attention.

I was amazed at how fast I was able to get a family doctor here and how little the wait time was (even with ghost town staff Red flag) then I meet with doctor kamaljeet sahota. I now understand why it was a 3 week turn around to get a family doctor when I have spent over 2 months waiting on the government search program. (should have seen it for the big Red Flag it was)

kamaljeet sahota is bad, like really bad seems to be more consernd with how you impact her day then how she can help you. The other doctors might be okay but miss kamaljeet sahota I think is the bad doctor expirence most people are referring to

WOW, just got told I'll have to come for there after hours sit and wait to see my own doctor or go to another walk in clinic. I brought my 13 year old daughter in 2 weeks ago for pus like bumps, the on call that day told me there from stress and will go away on there own and there's nothing I can do about them, just don't scratch them! Today there spreading and her lymph nodes are really swollen, not that the receiptionist asked me any if this, just said you were recently in and we have nothing and are not able to book for later in the week, only same day I'll have to call each morning to see if I can get her in. Really.cause I don't have a job to be at or anything! How is any family with 2 working parents and wants to keep there jobs supposed to work with this! And what about my daughter, it's not nothing caused from stress when she's having some sort of reaction now to these bumps! Guess I'm going to see an emergency doctor! And yes, for the most part my own doctor seems to care about our care but the on call I took her to the other week was horrible, she didn't seem to care just tried to get us in and out!

I never even got so far as being signed up as a patient - after applying and waiting a few months, I finally received a letter directing me to come in June 15th (a Saturday). Letter was dated May 26th, but the postmark was June 13th.and didn't come in the mail until today (June 19th). Called to find out what was going on (and the name of the physician they wished to assign me so I could do my due diligence and research) only to find that there is no way to even contact admin. Shoddily run, starting to thank my lucky stars!

Surprised by all the negative reviews. Had a wonderful experience today. Baby had a rash all over his face. I was told there were walk-ins available from 9-12. I arrived at 9: 30 and was seen by the doctor at 10. Faster than expected for a walk in. Receptionist was welcoming and friendly. The 2 nurses we saw first were very friendly personable and out of their way accommodating. Doctor was great too! Thank you!

Horrible service after 4 months later my wife got appointment to Dr. Kamaljeet Sahota on that day my wife was late only 13 minutes but she refused to see her. What a terrible doctor.never recommend anybody to Dr Sahota.

I was right on board about to rip someone a new one because of their poor service again when they turned around TWICE in one hour and did a great job! Maybe they have someone new or maybe you have to do everything online? But I got fantastic service! I needed a non-urgent appointment and I didn't know my patient number because it came off my health card. I called after 1: 30pm on a Fri - no answer and no hope from the answering machine of any help before Monday, when I can't call. I tried to book online but there was no work-around if you don't know your patient number. I was so frustrated (from this and other incidents) that I wrote a brutal email and fired it off to them about their poor service. Within 5 minutes I received an email advising me of my patient number. I then filled out the online appointment request and had a call back within another 5 or 10 mins. So I just want to say, there are also some good service stories here. Let's hope we can get even more!

I have been coming here for 2 years, every time there is no one at reception when you have an appointment to check in for. They have a sign that say to use the ipad but it never works. My Dr is nice but they are very poorly represented by the front desk staff.

Also when try to utilize their website there is not much information on it (also poorly designed) so when you call because you cant find what you are looking for you are on hold for ever after pressing the prompts to get through who you need to speak to. No one answers when it rings it just automatically puts you on hold.

The front line staff is the WORST EVER. THEY ARE RUDE, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. The office manager is the very WORST. Dr. Gill is a very good doctor, have no idea who hire the front line staff.
They treat you like trash.

The Admin Manager needs to be replaced. My Pharmacy faxed in a prescription 4 days ago and has not responded.
My previous Dr had retired 3 years ago and I was appointed another Dr. Which I have not seen yet! Always the Nurse pratrisioner.
Went in for a full physical which consist of my weight and blood pressure only? Like to see what they put in there books for the government?
Will be looking for another Dr.who cares about there patients

Avoid like the plague. The staff is RUDE and treat people really bad, they can care less about your health and have no respect for people nor others time, only interest they have is to charge you fees or charge OHIP in your behalf. Facilities are nice but with such personnel what's the point. As I cannot change doctors (trying for 5 years already but ON has shortage apparently) I might better go to an urgent clinic they are faster and seem more knowledgeable.

EXTREMELY RUDE and EXTREMELY disorganized staff. They made mistake booking my appointments 3 times while I work full-time and I have to take hours off my work for Dr.appointment. 3 times I went there for a wrong reason while for each appointment I had to wait 1 month. When I want to explain to the front desk to fix my next appointment details they are very rude for no reason.they treat you like a disturbing rude kid!
I have moved to the city recently and never ever had experienced such an outrageous behavior from any clinic in the past. Besides all the mistakes and their attitudes towards patients they charge EXTRA for refill through pharmacy! This is really new. Patient care is basically zero at this clinic
