They dumped my 5 pets like that after I made a complaint after they sedated my dog then ripped his nail completely off!

There’s more. I called in tonight at 1: 30am because my cat JunJun is crying out and meowing hard because he is in pain.
They denied to see him and said we were terminated!

She said IM SORRY I CANT SEE THE LITTLE BOY, she used those exact words. She told me to call DRYDEN VET and they are 4.5 hours drive away.

The manager AMANDA MONTGOMERY is the worst manager ever, I have heard many stories of patients who have been mistreated and if they saying anything like speaking up for themselves it’s true THEY WILL THROW YOU UNDER THE BUS.

To be honest, every time I went there the receptionist’s can be heard talking about clients who have just left or called. That is just down right rude. There are a few good vet doctors there and they should start there own practice with reasonable costs. I paid 1132.00 when I took my cat in for an X-ray, bloodwork, exam, and medicine was overpriced.

One time because I called at 5: 01pm, they close at 6pm. They said they had to charge me 500 for after hours care. Unbelievable? But true.

Years ago they were a very good vet hospital but now it’s being runned more like a SPA.

This was my vet office for 10years. I don’t know who runs it now, but awful. Secretaries are ignorant, they rarely answer phones, extremely rude if they made a mistake. They will throw YOU under the bus to protect themselves. WATCH OUT. Vets respond to secretaries vents and base your treatment off of their opinion. First time I had an issue with any pet in 10+ years and they treated me like a villain…. For gingivitis. I’ve never felt so awful by a service I paid for. At $3500 might I add. AVOID this place at all costs.

Terrible, they cut my friend's dog's nails way too short, he was in terrible pain. His nail broke off and its now red compared to his other nails.costed $900 for a shave and a cleaning along with a terrible job of cutting his nails, do not recommend. 91 bucks for a call too?

This place is a joke my puppy got into some chocolate raisens the other day we called to get her in and because we are not a client they would not let us bring her down or even at least give us some advise over the phone thumbs down just because we're not a client they would have let my dog dye rather than just give us some advice raisens can be deadly if eaten by a dog thanks for nothing had to call a vet in dryden for help this is COMPLETLY UNACCEPTABLE your supposed to be an emergency vet but in an emergency you did less than nothing

We had to make the heart breaking decision to put our dog to rest. The staff and technicians, from the first call to the last goodbye, were amazing. They made the process easier and accommodated our needs, allowing us to be with our pooch during his final moments. You can really tell that they care about what they do.

You guys make it so easy to bring our pets in and socially distance. But I still like being with them when they're seen.

Appointment was on time. Appointment was fast. Vet called before to discuss our dogs reason for being there. Vet called right after the exam to let us know her results as well as her weight and other things. Very happy with Northwestern Veterinary Clinic.

Today I had an appointment for my 1 year old cat. My appointment was at 11: 30. I called the arrival line at 11: 20 when I arrived for my appointment and was told I would hear back shortly to bring my cat in. After waiting for 45 minutes I called the arrival line back to ask what was going on and the receptionist told me my cat was in the exam room. I was baffled because my cat was in my lap and hadn't even been brought into the building yet. The receptionist responded with "Oh, the vet must be busy. " They were unable to keep track of which animals they had in the building, and gave me a generic answer when I called.
After this call I continued to wait, now 12: 10 I get a call to bring my cat inside. After leaving the cat inside I waited in the car for another 40 minutes, when I was finally called the vet told me that they looked her over and weighed her. I was unimpressed that that took 40 minutes for a basic exam, they hadn't even given her the vaccines yet. So either they worked very slowing on my cat or my cat was left alone in her carrier while the vet worked on other animals.
On top of all of this, our last two visits to this clinic, our vet gave us the wrong sex of our cat. And the prices for anything more that a checkup are exorbitant.
Overall, I would not recommend this vet to anyone and I will be looking for a new vet to bring my fur babies to.

My dog had her first seizure so we made an appointment, but since she had a second one they made sure to get her in next day. We have a plan of action now, nothing was pushed medication/treatment wise that wasn't explained why they recommended it and gave me choices. Thanks guys!

Great service and took my dog in on a Sunday emergency, no questions ask. They still followed covid-19 protocols for safety and they are very thoughtful and very kind. I recommend that place to anyone.

Not impressed at all. I called a week ago for a food order, wasn't told I needed an account. Was informed that the food would come in by Friday only to find out Saturday that my order was never even placed! Unprofessional.

They are the only vet clinic open today, so we called because our cat is going into acute kidney failure. They declined to see him despite my partner explaining how serious this is. They don’t care about the animals or the owners. If they cared, they would have seen an animal who is in this much pain.

Have been clients with this veterinary hospital for years, recently have not been able to get through to anyone without being on hold for well over an hour, not being able to book an appointment, constantly told to call back the next day, every.single.time. It breaks my heart to see my cat in pain this long, and this hospital has only increased the stress.

I know it is COVID-19 days but the "nurse" ripped my head off for making an honest mistake in following their confusing covid protocols. Gimme a break lady! Wait times were a shame. The Dr. (Sullivan), was very nice though

My appointment was for 300 pm and didn't get in to 3: 45pm. When I arrived they said we will be with you shortly. 45 minutes isn't shortly. There would have been no issue if they said they were running late. But didnt even have the decence to tell me. I should send them a bill for my time.

Fantastic service, doctors, support staff. Couldn't ask for better care for my pets. Well worth what they charge for the extra services they offer and more professional than the other vets in town. Not sure what the issues are about calling I get through easily and can leave messages for my dogs meds

Dr. Sullivan took such good care of my two girls and put at ease about one of their painful tails. Amazing job by staff for maintaining contactless visits while providing best care. The visit took a while due to this but overall I was very satisfied:)

I have been trying non-stop to call and book an appointment for my dog that has a bad ear infection. The line is constantly busy and there needs to be more lines set up so people can actually book an appointment. I have tried to book my dog elsewhere, but no other place will take him because he normally goes to this place and the other places don't have his records. This clinic really needs to step up and find a way for people to get through to make appointments, or at least have voicemail to leave a message This is very poor customer service. I know there is a pandemic going on, but if other places can answer their calls, why not this place too?

Don’t waste your time with this clinic, they are nothing but money grabbing unprofessional thieves. Seen 5 different vets for the same problem for hots spots and during a pandemic can’t just prescribe the same medication for my poor dog. I’ve spent over $8000 at this clinic in 3 years and no help from any of the staff. When I asked to Speak to a vet was told they will leave a note but doubt that anyone will call me back. Please go to any other vet: terrible service

The service at this Veterinary Hospital is good but their fees for their services are high. They have good qualified veterinarians who try to perform the best services for your pet, however they lack equipment to perform Emergency Services that your pet may need. To compensate for this they refer you to the University of Minnesota Veterinary Hospital. This is not always an option, especially in inclement weather or other restrictive factors. They may be the best and most popular Veterinary Hospital in Thunder Bay and with the fees they charge I don't understand why they can't afford to have all the equipment needed to perform the procedures to save your pet.

Sadly the stray cat I brought in was too sick to save.it cost me a pretty penny but the service was good and Buddy was cared for thoughtfully and tenderly. Rest in Peace dear soul.

Dr maki quoted us 1500$ to remove a small non cancerous cyst on our pup but said if we left and came back the price would go up. Who has that kind of money on hand as if it's chump change? And saying that the price is going to raise once we leave? Just plain unethical.
Went to cross roads and not only are they going to do a payment plan, they're also going to do the whole operation for 750$. Almost half the cost. They said it might even be less.
Never going back to Dr maki again.

Called this vet clinic while visiting over Christmas from Alberta. My pup got sick and needed to get a refill on some meds she was previously on. They were of no help with having the prescription chalked into them from my vet and since there was a few of us calling around to find out prices, we ended up all calling this clinic and each was given a different price for a visit ranging for $110-$175! I would absolutely not recommend this clinic to anyone!
