Northwinds Brewhouse & Kitchen

Everyone we dealt with was very friendly. Restaurant was packed and the food came out ridiculously quick, yet was hot and fresh. Very impressed.

Fantastic deep dish Detroit style pizza. Great vibes, atmosphere and staff were top notch.would come back again and again.deli style sandwiches looked great!

Our first visit was several months ago and we had the garlic bread which was really good. Lots of cheese! We also tried the pizza and both were delicious. I tried the Pinto Personal pizza which has dill pickle coins. Very interesting and tasty. My friend tried the Del Ray Personal pizza and enjoyed it. Last week I went again for dinner and I tried the Drunken Noodles and my friend ordered a pizza. The food and service is excellent. If you want to try a local restaurant with some great craft beer, check out this place. Prices are competitive with other restaurants which we all have seen a dramatic increase over the past two years. There is plenty of parking available in front and behind the restaurant.

Rough experience at Northwinds for my second visit. First time I ordered the Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich it was a large piece of chicken and quite good, so I decided to come back. This time, however, the kitchen seemed to have been running low on chicken, as the sandwich arrived with several pieces of tenderized & flattened pieces of "chicken" that was honestly 80% oil soaked badder. It made me feel bloated and gross and couldn't finish it. Couldn't complain because my waiter would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time. And then when they would ask if we needed something like the bill or sauces, he said he would grab it - and immediately be seen going off to several other tables and disappearing before reappearing many minutes later. Service was terrible. I always leave 15% for bare minimum but this was the first experience in a long time where I felt bad leaving extra money for the person who did very little to earn it and offered no apologies. Very robotic interaction when I asked for their favourite item on the menu. Beer was very mediocre, at best. Fries and wings were good but didn't redeem the overall low quality of the experience. Won't be back. Just go to Huron Club or Low Down. For that matter, even Bellows is better for a night out. Felt like a waste of $50. Oh yeah, and there was a $5 (!) upcharge for an upgrade from a big plate of fries to the most lacklustre "Caesar" salad I've ever seen or tasted. If you neglect my advice and decide to go anyways, do yourself a favour and sit at the bar. The service I received there from the bartender the first visit was far superior (other than the mediocre beer) to the middle aged man who seemed very off putting for someone who interacts with the general public.

Wow! 1st time here and man wish we lived closer. Visited this place on May long weekend busy even at 8pm Monday. Burgers are fantastic! Server was so friendly. So good gotta try!

We don’t know if the waitress was stoned but another waitress had to come and intervene. The calamari were over fried, and hard as bricks the hamburger was greasy and and food was overpriced for the quality offered. We won’t come again.

Lovely vibe & amazing service by Jen. She has so much of energy, super fast service & she has a ton of attention to detail. The Foremast Jack's band really enhanced the overall vibe at Northwinds. Well done lads.

The place was nicely decorated and put together. The staff was friendly. The wait time for the food wasn’t that long. I order the fish and chips and they were probably the best fries I’ve ever tasted, but the fish was rather over cooked and burnt. I was kinda disappointed but at least the fries were good

The beer and ambiance is nice. The food is overpriced for what you get. I had the rib dinner with mac and cheese & cole slaw. The ribs were ok but quite fatty, mac and cheese was bland and could not taste any cheese, only cream, cole slaw was bland and had way too much mayo, I ended up leaving 90% of it behind. The lamb platter was similar, rice was bland and the meat was fatty. If you're look for a beer and some bar food maybe it's a good place. If you're looking for a nice quality meal of good value, I'd go somewhere else.

My family and I returned to Northwinds Brewhouse after a two plus year hiatus visiting BlueMountain. The village has changed so much with prices skyrocketing. Fortunately Northwinds prices have inflated in line with the rest of the service industry. We had the Steak sandwich, pulled pork sandwich and a kids burger. All of our meals were of the same high quality we remember. Thanks all, looking forward to a return.

Absolutely one of the best burgers of my life. We had the shredded beef and the blue cheese burger, fries and salad. You can’t go wrong here. Craft beer is decent too.

Slightly overpriced for what you get. I ordered a burger which was not bad. We also ordered the tacos which tasted worse than taco bell but priced 4x higher. Would not order again.

Amazing and very large Nashville chicken sandwich, my colleague said the same about his Greek chicken sandwich.
Kitchen stepped up the heat for me with a side of in house fresh made Scotch bonnet sauce. Good heat level.
Fast and friendly service.
Must try if you're in the area.

Their food and beer are really good.
Their cream ale Broken paddle is delicious, and their seasonal beers are great, best one so far was the blueberry expedition this year.
Their menu changes seasonally, and always have weekly specials. They did a butter chicken burger that was phenomenal and I’d love to see it on the menu again one day.

The beer was good. I had the lost cabin 20 oz Dinner was ok. My spouse had fish and chips she did not like them. We sat at the bar. The bartender was funny and kept us busy with a smile and great service.

Great place. Good atmosphere, great service and tasty food. Ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and the portion size was massive. Messy but good. Draft beer was real good. Would definitely come again

Great beer, good food. Fun atmosphere and always good service. Never a bad time when you can sample some beer, eat some food and take some tasty beaches home with you!

The smash burger was exellent, the hot brownie with chocolate ice cream and peanut butter crumble a real threat. Very friendly staff.

Great choice of food for a brewpub. But also, some of the most amazing pizzas to ever be found in ANY restaurant, pub or eatery! I had the Moto Canadian and let me tell you, it is as thick as a brick and LOADED with flavor. Warning though, it is truly a heavy piece of pie, and so I would suggest splitting one with 1-2 friends and having a salad to go with that. Here is a photo of my pizza that will be breakfast tomorrow and possibly a nosh when I get home from the beach.

They also have an incredible selection of burgers, other sandwiches and salads with protein options.

Beer-wise there are many great options but this time I settled for a pint of Triple Stage.

My only wee complaint would be the flies, but hey we are out in the country and as the front door opens, the wee beasties come in. It’s par for the course.

Go to Northwinds, try a few pints and have a slab of pie. It’s an experience you will surely not regret! Our waiter was also awesome, very friendly, with a great lighthearted approach. Thanks Northwinds!

Came here to start off a fun weekend in Collingwood. The online menu is incorrect and they had much fewer options than portrayed. With this, they also had very VERY limited options. I have been vegetarian for 5 years and never have I been at a less accommodating restaurant. On top of this, the drinks I got were not great and there were flies. Incredibly disappointed.

Food was not the greatest. The service was terrible, the waitress was rude. We asked for our bill and waited 30 minutes, I finally went up and asked for it and she rolled her eyes. Lovely place

Fantastic experience! Food was phenomenal service was great! Highly recommend this place. Great variety of beers many brewed on site!

The portions are large, the food arrived pipping hot, the quality was 5 stars and the staff was really friendly and accommodating. I would come back again and again. We had tacos, wings and mussels. I want to try some of the other items.

It was a great experience! Good Food and drinks. A very welcoming atmosphere. Waiting staff are all so friendly. It was super busy when we visited so we had to wait 20minutes for a table but got to sit at the bar and order our drinks before and view the menu, using a QR code, so that we where ready to order when we got to our table. Had one issue with my meal as it came over done but that was quickly remedied and a new main was brought out. Definitely recommend for a night out/date.

A real gastro pub experience. On top of craft beer choices, there are cocktails and wine. The food is elevated pub favourites. Service was friendly and timely. Bunch of TVs as well, a good plane to watch a game

Waited 40 minutes for a table, only to be told the system had glitched and there was no seat available for us. Hostess then reverted and attempted to blame my father for “removing himself from the system, ” despite clearly having his name and phone number on record.

The lady working the retail desk also attempted to significantly overcharge my mother. When questioned about the displayed price, the lady claimed this was also a system glitch…

Management very clearly needs to train staff on how to operate a restaurant POS system. Embarrassing customer service on the front-end.

Our food and beer were awesome. We had an excellent waiter named Connor. He did a absolutely wonderful job looking after and a great suggestion for my flight of beer

Visiting here in Collingwood, ON. Was looking forward to the Northwind Brew experience, but sadly, did not get to. We were the only people waiting in the doorway next to the podium for almost 10 minutes. During which time, a table and a spot at the bar opened up. The hostess stood at the podium, and never said a word to us. Even turned her head to avoid eye contact. The waitress that walked up and chatted to her also ignored us as well. Sorry, but this is unacceptable.
