Novita Italian Cuisine

We were a group of 37. We had made a mistake in reservations. We wanted to come here but a colleague book a similar named restaurant. It was busy but they still accommodated us. Being the holiday season that’s a tough ask. Essentially a walk in of 37. They took us in. Made us feel at home. We got our appetizers quickly despite another large party ahead of us to be served main courses. The staff worked well together. Kitchen team was super fast and on the ball. Food came out hot, all together. Food was excellent. We made it worth their while as a Thank You for accommodating us. Owner came out to introduce himself and check on our experience. They have a hospitable welcoming environment. Food was great. We will be back and definitely recommend Novita Italian Cuisine.

Very good pasta with levels of flavor. Portions are good. Grilled foods can be less burnt. Good atmosphere for special celebration.

Food was so so. Service was extremely poor, 1 staff service the entire floor at lunch hour. He was super busy. It is a bad experience.

Loved everything about this place.
Had the Crab Carbanara, it was awesome.

Atmosphere and service was amazing but seafood here is not fresh at all! Definitely frozen.

I ordered steam mussels & lobster pasta, even though the taste and decoration overall was amazing but since the seafood not fresh, its destroy everything. I understand that maybe they buy frozen seafood to save cost since their price is reasonable but its will decrease Italian’s food standard expectations.

We go there around 4: 30 and literally nobody in the restaurant, not sure if its because its not the rush hours or because the food quality not meet the expectation. We will definitely not come back.

My fiance was having the beetroot salad and he say its not tasty either. We do love soup of the day (mushroom soup).

The bread also was serve cold.

Overall experience: 5/10

Went for dinner with my wife and ordered their monthly special $43 three course meal. Mussels and soup is excellent. Wife ordered the chicken pene
Pasta, I ordered the steak. Generous servings. For dessert wife ordered the cheesecake which is $7 extra. It was worth it. I got the tiramisu not good and not bad either. Server was friendly and attentive. I will come back for sure

We hosted our family and friends for our son’s birthday and the food and service did not disappoint. Raj, the owner and head chef was amazing to deal with and made sure the food was not only tasty but bountiful. Our guests could not stop complimenting the food. The service by Sandy, Jennifer and Artur was just excellent. Thank you for a wonderful celebration.

The chefs talk about you publicly in their language so loud that you can hear, the female waiter is rude.
Management is poor

Service is good and nice atmosphere. Food is good especially the mixed grilled seafood appetizer platter. Price is decent.

I ordered salad with chicken on side, have no idea what was on chicken it was so bitter that couldn't eat my salad, I told them but they charged me for salad too. They offered me new food but the bitterness ruined my taste buds.

Novita has always been our company's go-to restaurant for business lunches. Since we always have a good experience there, we decided to order catering for a recent company party. Everyone was blown away by the food and the quality, I heard positive feedback all day. The owner Raj was extremely helpful and super accommodating to our needs. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Went here for NYE later in the evening. The food was DELICIOUS, and the portions were good. The menu is very extensive, you’ll find a few dishes that you’d want to try. Will definitely go back.

Spent New Year’s Eve at Novita. I ordered the New Year’s Eve set menu and found each course to be delectable. I enjoyed the live jazz background music and had a great evening with a group of friends who all had a good experience at Novita as well.

I am happy to share my opinion about this restaurant. Great and convenient location, large parking area. Modern design and very clean inside. The food is amazing, great selection. And a very friendly chef. Every dollar spent was worth this feast of taste and pleasure.

Service was decent, they did not take as long as I expected them to take according to the reviews here, also I'm not a fan of the dinner rolls here, I rather have butter but they served olive oil and balsamic vinegar which I'm not apposed to. I had a lot of items, none were bad, some were pretty good, what stood out to me Is the smoked salmon pasta which was good and unique, the oil based parmasian languino was really good too, otherwise the garlic bread with tomato sauce and cheese, grilled veggies, and chicken Parm was at most decent, they had really good fries, I had it with a side of their house aolie which although lacked a bit in flavor it was still a very tasty dipping sauce. The bruchetta also tasted good, was very juicy.

First time coming here during a company Christmas lunch, and we were impressed with the food and service! A bit pricey but worth it. Will definitely return and recommend this place!

We went for dinner last night and were very disappointed. The food was not served hot. My entree was barely warm. When the waitress finally came by to check and I told her she offered to reheat it. By that time everyone had finished their dinner. She asked the owner and he said not to charge me, but he never came by to talk to us or apologize. I did see him go over to other tables to talk to the guests.

This is our second time here for our annual company dinner. We had a large party of close to 25 ish people. There was a bit of confusion at first about the date of the reservation but it was very quickly resolved. Our excellent servers Stuart and Shinobu were FANTASTIC! Super friendly, patient, and had really great service and great personalities. The place was packed when we were there and there was another very large company gathering happening at the same time, but we were still well taken care of, we were very happy and very impressed. Food was wonderful too, complements to the chef! I personally loved the pasta and steak! Everyone at my table also loved their orders too. We definitely recommend this place to everyone. If you have a company gathering you can email ahead of time to arrange for the menu, they have a choice of 3 menus. Thank you guys for being so awesome! (Oh and we are so sorry about the broken plate!)

I has wonderful menu, each option was that I tried was good. The steak was cooked as we requested, also their sauce was delicious. The seafood risotto almost perfect, with a lot of seafood. Their Tiramisu needs to improve, it tasted good but is not a real Tiramisu

We were there for Saturday lunch and the place was not crowed at all. It seems to us that there was only one service staff and one chef. The service staff was quick and run around the whole place. They should have told us how long the wait would be. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes for our foods to come. The good thing was the foods came all at once and they were all very very good and tasty. If you don't mind the wait, this place is worth a try!

I’m sure the food taste great but service was non existent. Was seated in the secluded corner of the restaurant on the other side of where everyone else was seated despite there being ample seats elsewhere

Waited for 10 /15 minutes and no one came to take our order despite getting the attention of a server twice

I get if they are busy but the restaurant was maybe at like 45% capacity?

And if you can’t take our order a “I’ll be right with you” would have sufficed but no acknowledgment either

Our go to place when we can't decide where to go. I can always count on them providing good service and decent foods.

The lobster risotto and seafood chowder were excellent. Our server was also quick and on point. Great experience.

Quiet night. Service was a bit on and off. Chef visited our table to drop off food and see if everything was good, a nice surprise. Seafood was really good, chicken was a bit dry. Otherwise, it was a good night.

Good food but not an ideal experience. The waiter wasn’t very patient or polite.

To start off we asked if we can order some small platters for the table if the food isn’t enough when it arrives and he responded with you can only order right now, and he won’t be taking any other orders later other than dessert.

The food tasted very good and came in large portions, yet the meat was undercooked. We asked for a medium and a well done steak and both were very pink and undercooked.

The seats were very old, peeled and made the experience uncomfortable and the pieces of leather kept sticking on our dresses/ legs.

The waiter gave us an attitude when we asked to split the bill which isn’t a hard and unusual ask.

And he called out someone at the table for not tipping after being rude the entire night which was very unprofessional. And after trying to explain to why our experience wasn’t ideal he responded with “I don’t get paid, it’s common to tip 15%” and walked away mid conversation while we were telling him about the experience.

From a table of 7 I don’t think any of us will go back.

Yummy foods, friendly staffs and good service.
My anti-creamy food husband was satisfied with menus we ordered and i agreed. Pizza was good, calamari seems fried with clean oil. One of tasty Italian restaurant in GTA.

Lots of items on the menu so it's better to ask the server for the popular items. It was 35 degrees and the AC was off inside so it wasn't a comfortable experience. Seafood Pasta was delicious. It was an ok experience

Veal was excellent, pizza and bruschetta less so. Upholstery needs some TLC - think flaking faux leather - while staff were extremely friendly and professional.

Def recommend the Portabello mushrooms! It was wonderful, our server was sweet and the chef came out to chat too. I was doing my happy food dance.

Their gnocchi are very good, the sauce is very delicious, not a huge fan of their pizza tho, but pastas are really good. Must try if you are in the area

Came here for a family event! Food was so delicious and the servers really hustled and did an amazing job attending to our tables!

Reasonably priced and delicious food.owner/chef raj always comes out to chat and is always so nice! Service is always great and we like how it isnt too busy.patio is also pretty too.

Decent Italian restaurant. Pasta was good, creamy, slightly on the saltier side. Service was good once we were sat down. We did however waited at the front door for a while. Overall good quality.

When we came in, there was terrible/bad smell of frying fish, stuck on our clothes, we were taken to a table which our group didn't like, too tight and table was high, we asked to change our table, the chef came and he refused, so we decided not to stay and left to another place to dine!

The food was good (try the Seafood platter) but the service was slow and waitress were friendly but not attentive. You would expect complimentary dinner rolls for the table but none; not really authentic Italian resto that I am used to.

Decided to try this place as I always see on driving past highway 7 and always wondered how this place is. Came here yesteday on a Tuesday night, it was pretty dead, there was only 3 tables seats in the entire restaurant.

We were seated promptly and given our menus and our server came back pretty quick to introduce himself and tell us our specials.

We ordered the calamari to start, rack of lamb and the chicken spaghetti.
The calamari was disappointing as it there wasn't much taste and the "house aioli sauce" didn't really have much taste.
The rack of lamb was delicious and the sauce was good and made medium rare as I would like it.
As far as the pasta, it was good as well but didn't stand out.

We saw a table who came after us get complimentary bread before ordering and meanwhile my and my boyfriend just sat there until our appetizer came. We decided to ask our server if we were getting any complimentary bread to start as well and was told that someone else was suppose to bring it to us.

Overall, food was ok and service was good.

Vegetarian margarita is tasty. Penne arabiata is kinda ok. Less options for vegetarians. Overall kinda ok restaurant.

Love the service here, the gnocchi is my favorite dish here. However the Margherita Pizza was below expectations. The tomato slices were cut super thick and the cheese used felt like it was from Walmart.
Other than that the gnocchi rose was very tasty and everyone is super nice.

We ate a few times from here but today I was very disappointed about my dish because the "Linguine AL Pesce" is supposed to contain a mix of shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari but they forgot about the clams or they didn't have them anymore. Anyway they should let the client know, maybe you want with out an ingredient or maybe you will change your choice, but no, didn't happened. Another thing, when I asked a pineapple juice for me and my kid the waiter brought half full glasses (everything I wrote here you can check in the pictures I posted). I'm sorry but this is not pleasant, anyway they have a very very good pizza and cheese cake to try but can't give 5 stars if doesn't worth
