It's a very nice pond in Toronto with an eye-catching view. I love this place. Also you can find a few benches to rest on the deck and enjoy the view. It's a cozy place that is located in Vaughan city (Thornhill area) in the Centre Street.
I recommend you visit this nice place.

Oakbank Pond Park has become a cherished monthly escape for my girlfriend, Looloo (our adorable dog), and me. The allure of this park is simply irresistible, especially during the captivating autumn season. We've made it a tradition to visit Oakbank Pond Park at least once a month, and each time, it's a new adventure.

The park's location in a residential area only adds to its charm. The residential backdrop provides a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and connect with nature. As the seasons change, Oakbank Pond Park transforms into a kaleidoscope of colors, and autumn is undoubtedly a highlight. The trees surrounding the pond burst into a breathtaking display of reds, yellows, and oranges. It's like stepping into a real-life painting.

The centerpiece of the park, the pond, is a haven for wildlife. On our walks, we've been fortunate to observe various bird species, including ducks and geese, calling the pond their home. Their graceful presence adds to the park's allure, making it a true wildlife enthusiast's paradise.

What we truly appreciate about Oakbank Pond Park is its consistency in offering natural beauty and tranquility month after month. Whether it's the vibrant blooms of spring, the lush greenery of summer, or the mesmerizing foliage of autumn, this park never disappoints. It has become our sanctuary where we can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Oakbank Pond Park is not just a place we visit; it's a place we cherish and look forward to exploring regularly. Its timeless beauty and the ever-changing canvas of nature make it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and enchanting escape. If you haven't experienced it yet, you're missing out on a true gem in Thornhill.

The pond is beautiful. It is so relaxing to watch the water and wildlife. I got to see a painted turtle and ducks! The walk around is by the roadside so I wouldn't recommend coming here to walk but it sure is a beautiful place to sit down and rest.

Love taking my kids there to see the snapping turtles and the massive tortoise that lives in that pond. Sometimes you can even see the koi fish if you're lucky. Just not a fan of the tiny spot, could get very crowded and no place else to go there.

Still haven't explored the whole area, but it made me stop in the middle of my way and parked my car for just taking photos! A pearl of beauty in the Center street! Love it!:)

Picturesque park in Vaughan Ontario featuring a recently constructed deck for relaxing, viewing, sipping tea or coffee or photographing this natural setting in an urban residential area.

I was walking with a friend and we were hoping to walk around the lake but there is not a path all the way around. Its only on the south section of the lake with a little bit along the east. There is a fun dock to go out on to get past the reeds. But other than that there isn't any great views of the lake. All the other 3/4 of the lake has lakefront properties that have their backyard all the way to the lake.

It was a cool place to check out but not much to do.

A little pond within the neighborhood. Parking is limited. You may walk around the pond and enjoy the historical areas such as MacDonald park, Trinity Church and some nice old architecture building.

It's a beautiful pond right across our son's childcare centre. We enjoy walking there after we pick him up. We have seen ducks, geese and recently, turtles swimming in the pond!

Nice. Not much shade. Nothing to write home about. Walking around will just take you on a stroll through the neighborhood streets. The houses backyards go on the pond so you can't really go around

You can see many birds and sing
Tall Reeds are on the pond

This pond is a fantastic place if you wish to watch or photograph birds but there is just one spot that has been allocated for this purpose. All around the pond is private properties that don't allow you to see or reach the pond.

Love this little piece of paradise. Lots of geese, great place for seeing babies in the spring.

A little taste of the country without leaving the city. I call this the duck pond because of the ducks but I have also seen frogs in the water.

A quiet place with a few parking spots and a view over the pond. Lots of turtles sunning themselves on warm days.

Great little dock to hang out and watch the ducks, in the middle of Thornhill. Beautiful big fancy homes to walk around and admire.

Such a peaceful, beautiful pond, right in the middle of beautiful Oak bank in Thornhill (on Centre Street between Bathurst and Yonge).

This is my go-to place for reflecting on a sunny day (all seasons), watching the turtles, fish and ducks swim in the reeds and on the pond.

Local transit (YRT 77) stops on the corner and parking is readily available on nearby streets or the church, across the street.

Amazing park with a unique view. Also there are benches on the dock on of the lake. There also some parking spots on the side of the street. Not a good spot for picnics, just short and quick nature reunions.

Place so small yet so relaxing with a simply serene view. Need a 10 min break to gather your thoughts come by and see the pond.

Nice tranquil nature escape in the midst of the suburbs.

Too many geese droppings though

They just replaced the wood and walkway. Beautiful view. Lots of poop so careful where u walk but it's amazing. What a view. Don't have a daytime photo but it's gorgeous.

The pond is surrounded by tall grasses and bulrushes. The little wooden platform that stands above part of the pond has recently been redone. It looks similar to how it looked before except the railings are sloped inward, probably so birds can't land on them and make a mess.

There are lots of animals to see in the pond. There is a huge snapping turtle, (which looks like a lake monster with its spiky tail) ; there are smaller turtles; there are big dragonflies and there is a good assortment of waterfowl: ducks, geese and cormorants. You can watch the cormorants drying their wings on the little island toward the back of the pond.

It's a very picturesque area except for the large amounts of goose and seagull poop. There are very few areas where you can safely step. Don't wear nice shoes!
