This has been the worst experience ever. Please if anyone is referred here ask for another place. To communicate with them is extremely difficult. You need to be someone who doesn’t work and can be available when they say because to arrange an appointment is back and forth through email. You wait there forever and you are jumping from room to room. Very impersonal and rushed. These are people’s eyes you are dealing with. They are simply a business making money. Horrible. It seems they have a lot of patients who are immigrant people whose first language isn’t English and who don’t know better which is sad. If my father didn’t have his kids to help this would be a nightmare. And he wouldn’t know that this place is horrendous. Trying to get referred somewhere else now.

I have been a patient at OCC for 5+ years and the entire team there are stellar! My doctors: Dr. Gill and Dr. Armogan are compassionate and professional beyond compare. I have complex issues and have always had an exceptionally positive experience at the facility.
29 August 2023 2:58
They definitely overbook in order to bill as much as possible. Zero patient care in mind, waited 90 minutes past my appointment time to see the Dr for 5 minutes.
25 August 2023 18:33
My appointment was at 2pm, kept me waiting full 2 hrs till 4pm and doctor did not want spend less than a minute for me to check my eyes, despite paying 135CAD + use my health Card claim!
Is this the Canada Health Service?
23 July 2023 18:47
Extremely hard to get an actual person on the phone or to answer any question. Either your call is disconnected immediately or disconnected after 20 mins on hold.

The "web portal" is no better.barely if ever get a actual response back.

In person its no better. Your basically herded like cattle upon arrival. Staff is usually dismissive and gets annoyed when you ask what the are doing. You get transferred to about 3 different techs before seeing a dr. If you ask them what test they are completing of what the purpose of seeing them is and your met with snarky response and attitude.

Dr. Ali himself seems nice enough. However there is rarely any time to ask him actual questions. I usually only get 5 minutes with him before being bounced out as quickly as possible.

While I understand that theirs is a volume business and the more head that they push through the more profitable. But the callousness with which your treated and the dismissiveness of the staff really makes me dislike this place.
30 June 2023 1:12
Excellent facility. State of the art instruments, doctors are caring using latest technologies and treatments. Entire staff run the place so efficiently that waiting times are minimal.
25 June 2023 17:49
Waited for 3 hours just to see a doctor for my parents and took 2 hours more to complete the checkup. They do not have a process. One day to get your diagnostic test and come back to see a doctor and wait for this long? Not acceptable!
18 June 2023 21:10
I have had 3 appointments here in the last year all were very efficient quick nice people who work there have some patience and you re out in 30mns
20 May 2023 3:00
This place is soooo big so busy. When I read the reviews I was like oh noooo. Now I am here and they are so organized so many work and all kind. And fast. Love Dr Ali
05 May 2023 4:11
Horrible place. Do not bring your elderly family here.
There's not one good thing about this place.
29 April 2023 19:07
Absolutely horrific experience. Do not go here if you can help it.

1. They use unsanitary tape to stick your mask to your face and will refuse to see you without it. This is despite the fact that there is ZERO evidence showing that is an effective Covid prevention measure and this is NOT the standard in any other medical facility. I am a staunch mask wearer, but this is ridiculous, invasive, and has caused huge rashes on my face. They don't even require KN95 or surgical masks, cheap cloth masks are allowed, which means the tape is a completely useless and performance measure.

2. Doctor is extremely cold. His patients are dealing with potentially devastating eye diseases and are facing blindness, and yet he will only give them 30 seconds of time and zero useful information other than "See you in 6 months. "

3. There is no way to phone the clinic if you have questions or issues. How is this any way to run a business? Your patients need to contact you. Most of the patients are seniors who reply on using the phone.

4. Parking is not free. Again, as most of the patients are seniors, this is ridiculous.

5. Office staff are always completely miserable and rude.

Worst clinic experience I have ever had.
27 April 2023 10:08
Unbelievably inefficient clinic. Pack your patience before you enter. A lot of staff, all very sweet but that doesn’t help with what you are experiencing while waiting for your injection. It takes 3 hours minimum from the time you enter until you finally get your injection and can leave. They should seriously hire someone who can help organize their processes. I have friends going for the exact same treatment in various other clinics and they cannot believe what we are going through here. OCC, ease please improve your processes and let your patients who are quite old people finish their appointment as quickly as possible.
08 March 2023 7:04
You can not call they don't answer
you can't send email they will not answer
they have very long frustrating contact us application which have questions you don't know the answer

they book me 2 times with a doctor who is not specialized in my case I had to call so many times and emails
wasted months for not caring for anything but scheduling another appointment
my eye situation got worst I got 3 cists it was 1 when I requested appointment
07 February 2023 0:13
Disappointing and dehumanizing experience at OCC Eyecare. They are impossible to get a hold of on the phone which only operates 9-11 am. Many futile attempts later I went to the website to get an appointment and was given one the very next day with Dr. Ali. Dr Ali examined my mom for no longer than 1 minute and was short and dismissive and did not stay long enough to hear genuine concerns over full loss of vision in one eye and sent us out with a recommendation for a Systane eyedrop (because blindness in one eye can be cured via an over the counter dry eye drop from Shoppers). This is our second appointment over a period of 2 months and the condition worsens and the doctors are of absolutely no help. They will get you in for an appointment FAST but be prepared to be met with incompetence.
26 January 2023 12:04
This place is a dystopian world they put tape on your masks while the employees don’t have tape on their masks or sometime their employees have masks below their nose it’s a good place if you want to observe a Chinese style dystopia
15 January 2023 21:51
These guys are the WORST. Go literally ANYWHERE else if you can.

You'll get referred here because, on paper, they have all the certs. While (hopefully) true, they sure as HELL don't have any skill in customer service or patient care. And they charge for parking? !? There? ! There's literally NOTHING there to warrant paid parking; they're just nickel-and-diming patients.

They asked me to book a follow-up, I declined.
04 December 2022 9:37
I wish the regulating bodies would do something about this place, we as patients deserve proper doctor attention. Drs will see you for a max of 2 minutes, they are so rushed to see the next patient. It's a clinic that should be called "The production line clinic". I hope I never need to go back there ever.
22 August 2022 10:22
Every comment about the lack of eye contact, assembly line, the rush and cold shoulder from the physicians is very true. After reading all the terrible reviews it’s shocking to see that nothing has changed in the institute. I have been taking my mom here since 2015. And she’s seen a few different doctors, more at the beginning of her diagnosis but the doctors all behaved the same, with the exception of Dr Singh. Dr Singh is no longer my mom’s doctor but she was the best physician I have come across. We miss her.
We would like to have the records transferred to another clinic and will look into it. So if you’re reading this to decide prior to deciding to go to OCC make no mistake you will experience exactly what has been reviewed here.
15 August 2022 13:11
I read the reviews thinking people were over reacting. In fact, this is the worst clinic ever in the GTA serving patients. Whoever answers calls will just hang up on you without any disregard or respect. The receptionist doesn't even care of getting in trouble. She knows no one will make her do a good job or have respect towards people seeking health services at this clinic. How Canada came to this? Canadians (WE) deserve better than this!
10 August 2022 6:56
I am reviewing one start because is the most I can give. This is the worst place ever attended for my care. The registration process is truly a mess, the receptionists are rude and impatient. The doctor was dismissive of my questions and it was very clear that my best interest and care was not his priority. I would never suggest a person I care about to visit such place. Unprofessional and a big disappointment.
09 August 2022 3:03
Please avoid coming to this clinic. Their only intention is to make $$$$. Dr. Armogan is the top biller in Ontario! Patient care doesn't exist at OCC. Poorly managed, this factory should definitely get audited.
18 July 2022 3:54
I wish places like this would take patient reviews seriously instead of the the rhetorical reply "we take customer service very seriously. ". It's clear that this is a place that does not. As mentioned many times in reviews, it's like patients are treated more like cattle.it is very clear that the goal of this place is to maximize profits by getting you in and out as quick as possible, and that this is more important than making a customer felt cared for, understood, and heard. I don't question the knowledge or skills of the specialists, but their bedside manners are very poor. When someone is struggling with their poor eyesight or related complications this is a very difficult situation they are dealing with. Spending 30 seconds with them, saying "there's nothing I can do for you" and "you have to learn to live with it" may be the truth, but this lack of focus on patient wellbeing and acknowledgement of their struggle does not reflect the philosophy or the spirit of why people should become medical specialists. If there is no care, concern and dare I say, empathy for your patients then why are you doing this work? You should have instead become an engineer where you could work with widgets and other inanimate objects. It's unfortunate that this has become a systematic norm and that this place is devoid of concern and empathy for patients. It's very sad that this is the direction our system is heading. Why not be different than everyone else doing this and instead create a legacy of patients who are happy with their experiences at this place?

These are the musings of one health professional to a multiple within this organization who clearly are not patient-oriented.
13 July 2022 23:32
I made a request to see the Dr.same day with the testing and they email me around January for that appointment then they email me yesterday that I have another appointment to see the Dr the week after. I know they are doing their job but I also have a job and it is so frustrating that they can change the schedule anytime they feel like it!
17 May 2022 14:08
The worse eye care I have ever seen in Canada. Whenever i go for the appointment every single time there are different patients [people] fighting at the front desk for appointments or signup paper or something else but they're fighting every single time for sure. Management are working there only for money as long as you have insurance or your paying out from your pocket once you taking your own meds you'll be treated like a stranger. Also specialist I mean all doctors they don't have time to talk they do the surgeries in a few seconds or minutes and once your done you cannot even ask questions! It seems like line workers in manufacturing companies like you're in from the front door and your kicked out from side doors. Don't go there please
07 May 2022 11:08
HORRIBLE PLACE. RUN AWAY. DO NOT GO HERE
ITS A CASH GRAB N THE WORST SERVICE EVER. RUDE, INEPT, Dangerous. If I could give ZERO STARS I would. They made up numbers on my mother's medical chart for her blood pressure as the BP machine wasn't working. I have reported my 37 issues from this place to the board of physicians. DR. Gill and Dr Armogan.only care about $$$$$.
Go to any other eye care place.this place is AWFUL!
23 April 2022 0:17
Waited over 3.5 hours before seeing the doctor in spite of having an appointment. The opthomologist spent only 2-3 Minutes to let me know that I have glaucoma and it is hard to measure eye pressure in my eyes. I am going back to my eye doctor in Cambridge- the longer drive pays off in quality service.
17 April 2022 9:54
Rushing doctors, ridiculous wait times, unfriendly front desk, non-flexible administration, expensive for non-OHIP items, pay for parking in middle of nowhere.all disadvantages are combined here. Guys, do you think your patients have no other thing than to visit your place? My time is not important? Or you think scarcity of eye specialist allows to do anything?
When you eye doctor refers you here, provide feedback them to not refer any more patient here. Shame on this place for charging to park.
09 April 2022 20:30
Doctors are educated here. Good service but they say it's wifi area but it never connects and always say that bad network or poor connectivity.
08 April 2022 17:48
I was referred here by my optometrist and if you look up eye specialist in Mississauga this place unfortunately comes up. This was a horrible experience if not the worst I have had in my life when seeing a health care related specialist. Each step of the process you are ushered into different rooms and given very little information. You have no clue who’s even helping you each step of the way. The process is similar to a factory assembly line with dozens of patients in an open area. It’s busy and as full as a bus terminal. They call your name out you go into a tiny crowded room to do some tests and then they send you back to the open area. And this process is repeated multiple times until you finally see the specialist. Very odd system and seems very hectic. I wouldn’t be surprised if there were mixups in patient information given the fast paced environment. It should be noted that in any health related situation, no step of that process should feel rushed!

I saw the actual specialist for maybe 2 minutes and he was incredibly rude offering very little information. Not sure why this is the first place optometrists refer patients to because they’re absolutely no help. I personally would never return and would rather spend hand over fist to see an eye specialist who actually takes time to explain things to you. I went here not too long ago but hopefully they have changed since. Otherwise try getting a specialist through your family doctor. May take longer but probably worth it then going through this mess.
28 February 2022 7:05
Cattle call, get them in and get them out. One on one time in an office with the Dr is nonexistent, the whole place is very cold toward the patient and the Drs don't care about their patients. Im going for a second opinion because they may have made my eye worse after surgery. The silicone oil that's put in after surgery is what's keeping me from better vision because the Dr says he can't remove it all " I can't get it all out, we take out what we can " says the Dr. I would not recommend this clinic to anybody.
14 February 2022 2:58
My Optometrist Dr sent me to an Retina specialist at OCC because I was having issues with focus and was seeing flashes. However, my trip to OCC was such a disappointment to say the least. The whole process of registration and getting ready was a little chaotic but okay and all the support staff did a reasonably good job. Then came the session with the doctor. One would expect a much more thorough examination by a “specialist” and yet on the contrary, it was over before one could say Bob is your uncle. My Optometrist did a much more detailed examination and explained to me what is going on with my eye. She sent me to a specialist to ensure à even more in depth look. It took several weeks to get an appointment, but in less than a minute I was done. The Dr came in to my room while still talking to the patient in the other room. I had to ask more questions as I got the sense he was ready to go to the next patient. I mean really, is this the kind of patient care you get from this place? I felt like I was on a conveyer belt in a factory.
21 January 2022 22:11
This place is not good at all. They are like robot and especially Dr. Armagan even does not let you talk. He just want to go and they are just looking for money and they want to finish it as soon as possible. I will not go there never ever and if you really need someone to listen to your concern and be a human and not a robot (who just knows the books and rules) DO NOT go to this place.

***PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE as they will definitely waste yours***

This facility should be closed or penalized by whoever governs medical practice. Long waits, last minute cancellation and they don't want to take voicemail or pickup phone to answer your calls. Pandemic as excuse.
Some automated system keeps repeating same directions to email and then there is a number to schedule your appointment which goes to an outsourced center with someone repeating the same direction to email and wait for reply 2-3days. What a misleading way to reduce costs at the burden of patients

They might have doctor's but they don't know how to deliver a service or know it too well to cash out people and guarantee income with certain number of patients to their practitioners.
***PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER PROVIDER, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE as they will definitely waste yours and don't care how much a person's with eye problems must go thru to get to there door or appointments.
14 December 2021 2:22
It's quite unfortunate to see a facility like this operate with such poor standards serving patients in our community.

On multiple occasions, they have changed the dates / times of confirmed appointments without notifying us. After the first experience of this, we attempted to call a few days prior to the appointment to ensure there were no wrinkles and it was tough to even get a hold of someone. Person we spoke to said "unless you get an email letting you know the appointment is changed, your appointment is still on" - only to take the day off work, arrive at the facility and then being informed the appointment was cancelled.

There is no one picking up their phones and no one seems to have the ball on running this facility and serving our community in a courteous way.

As someone else noted, I also think they need to be audited by an independent third party and/or government agency and should be kept closed until they correct their internal communication/operation system and train their supporting stuff. Will be looking into ways to get this invoked so that others in our community can avoid the same issues here.
22 November 2021 12:27
All the doctors are great, but REALLY need to hire professional front desk staff. Rude, inconsiderate and always the reason I hate coming here.
03 November 2021 11:47
Terrible terrible place. There priority to seems to be cash grab and process as many people through testing as possible so they can bill OHIP or charge the customer. No doctor to diagnose the results, give the patient feedback and treatment/solution options. My Mom was referred by her Optometrist & has been going for 7 months as she has SEVERE Glaucoma. All that has happened after 7 months of testing.is nothing. BIG waste of time & her vision loss is increasing weekly. We are looking to see what Government organization oversees this place to log a formal complaint.
06 October 2021 23:47
Stay away from this place.
Bad experience, bad services, not professional at all!
It should be closed and all personnel fired.
30 September 2021 2:35
Terrible. The girl didn’t even know why I was there. And I feel like it’s a ‘get as many in as you can’ place. I’ve heard it is like a ‘chop shop’ and yes it is. Find a better place. Too many people in there during COVID.
23 September 2021 21:54
The treating is very poor, my family Dr.ask them for my eyes report the management told my Dr.that she has to pay money to be able to send the report to the Dr.what kind of hospital is that.
18 September 2021 9:21
An absolutely amazing facility with very lovely staff. Dr. A is more than a blessing. I have never been so impressed. I thank God for Dr. A, and his wonderful gift. A stellar gentleman, with A+ staff. A top scale facility!
02 September 2021 21:40
STAY AWAY! The worst clinic we had even been. They have ZERO respect to patient at all. If I could rate for zero, I definitely rate it for zero. They treat patient like products on production line. They booked you for appointment, and keeps you waiting for hours and hours, sitting in the waiting area without any clue at all. Doctors don’t explain to you what’s going on and only give exam and then let you go without explanation.
21 August 2021 14:32
Dr. Kosaric is the best doctor I ever had. He goes above and beyond! If it wasn't for him I would have never discovered I had a brain tumour. I can not thank him enough and my thanks is long over due. Also thank you staff and other Drs who have helped me with all my eye problems that I was having. Love, Naomi Schlett. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
10 August 2021 16:13
I have a very bad experience in this clinic today first step on computer Iz non sense so many people can’t fill it properly without the help then they start quickly and you reached at proscribed doctor my doctor name was Fareed Ali they put drops in my eyes for dilate which needs time to react But after 5-6 minutes they called me and I sit on the chair for exam doctor came and with in less one minute believe me less than one minute he saw my eyes did not listen me he an other specialist with a few days said he will refer to properly and said I
05 August 2021 19:56
Worse place because of waiting. They are never on time with appointments, I don't know why they book appointments. Every time they came up with lame excuses. Supporting staff need to be train.
30 July 2021 14:04
Dr.armagon or whatever his name is the worst doc ever. So rude and full of himself. He always rushes you and never gives u a chance to ask questions.
11 July 2021 17:04
My wife Linda has been seen by Dr. Armogan for many years for serious retinal disease. She has been seen by other specialists but Dr. Armodan has been the best. She had cataract surgery to both eyes with great results. She continues to be monitored for her retinal problems. The staff are helpful and friendly and all of her concerns are always addressed. We appreciate the care she receives and will continue to attend the clinic. The set up assures that the doctors are not doing routine test and procedures, but seeing and assessing patients.
01 July 2021 0:46
Dr. Armogan performed a series of 7 treatments to repair damage to my left retina. He is very skilled, professional, efficient and his staff all function very effectively. I was especially impressed with their Covid-19 protocols, enhanced ventilation, automated sign-in system and throughput.
20 June 2021 4:08
This place just looks organized, but they are not. Yoveita has the worst customer service in there. She acts like she owns the place. She doesn't explained things very well either.

Be careful of your information. They seem to lose it. Hopefully not selling your information
18 May 2021 8:19
As a fellow health professional, I do not believe that this is how any kind of health care should be provided to patients: the assembly line, the seeming indifference of many of the staff, the lack of explanation of where/when/why one is being sent to one waiting area after another. Seventy minutes after I arrived, I was seen for a 90 second consult, and then the doctor was gone. In the meantime, I was also seen by some sort of technician who administered a glaucoma test (which was not requested as my regular optometrist does this regularly). And they charge for parking in the middle of an industrial area of Mississauga. This seems to be one huge cash cow (but the patients are the ones being treated like cattle). Would not recommend this "enterprise" to anyone who values their dignity.
11 May 2021 7:53
Factory service eyecare. Had treatment done and and prescription was not clear o the pharmacist so I missed that dosage and the next morning. Went back and sat in the waiting room for my Rx only to find the Dr left. Sat waiting for someone to give me a Rx. And then they tell you to need to keep coming back for followup. Also the office was packed full of people. Not good during Covid. And that was in the summer in the height of Pandemic.

- Review date 19th Feb 2021 -

Inside the clinic, it's a hustling and bustling business like a fish market! But you can't call this private clinic as they have a recorded message playing all the time. Only emails are entertained with a 7 day SLA. Wow!
We cannot wait 7 days for your response. No phone call or messages allowed. What nonsense is this?

After our last visit to Dr. Yan for consultation on glaucoma assessment, we were skeptical to proceed with him for the laser procedure due to his arrogant behaviour. I had mentioned to him that my wife doesn't communicate well in English, hence allow me to translate! He rudely told me to stay quiet as she must be able to understand his sign language! While checking her eyes, my wife didn't put her chin properly at the right place despite his sign directions. He held her head from behind and aggresively pulled it closer!
We tolerated this unethical behavior and remained polite to ensure no retaliation from him as it was our need to get properly assessed.
Luckily, today, we got to read reviews of Dr. Yan and his cattle like treatment with his patients. He may be a good doctor and an MIT graduate, but all the negative reviews about him can't be wrong!
We don't want to judge him based on the reviews. But we want to safeguard ourselves and exercise our option of finding a better doctor based on such terrible reviews of Dr. Yan. I wonder why OCC doesn't take a notice despite years of negative reviews of Dr. Yan?
Unlike fellow reviewers, we are taking the decision of not jumping into the fire pit.
- older review 21st Dec 2020 -

Hi Folks, I was at OCC Eye Care today 21st Dec 2020, at 2.30pm, along with my wife who was rescheduled second time for laser eye procedure. I was assured the clinic is following strict compliance measures, and I thought to myself, why not! After all, COVID is transmitted through mouth, nose and eyes.

A loud speaker was placed in the parking lot with loud announcements how all patients must adhere to social distancing and related compliance announcements. Right before entering the main glass door, there is a small tent where patients are supposed to complete a questionaire asking about health issues etc. Red lines were drawn every 6 feet. Everything looked perfect as it should be. However, surprisingly no one was outside in the tent which looked a bit odd, yet pleasing to the eye thinking there would be less patients inside.

However, to our utter shock, as we entered the front glass door, we were surprised to see at least 20+ patients crammed up within approximate 8' x 15' reception area.
It would be safe to say that patients were within 1-2 feet of each other. My jaw dropped in total shock and anger!
The lady wearing a shield mask, apparently totally oblivious to the situation welcomed us and asked if we had filled the questionaire. Apparently, she was just doing her job. It was the scene at a fish market. We couldn't stay at such a poorly managed place for one bit. She shared our feelings of dismay, but had a perfectly tailored message for us. "I am just doing what I am told to do".
My wife and I left the clinic. On my way out, I called Peel Public Health non compliance reporting hot line to report the clinic and wanted to share a few pics of what we saw with the compliance inspector.

A lady, apparently also just doing her job introduced herself as a compliance inspector.
We reported the entire incident to her and she listened patiently. At the end of it, she said, " we don't interfere with doctors clinics or where there is a medical practice. I was very shocked by her response. I was asked to call the College of Physicians and surgeons who will look into the matter. All of a sudden, it felt that this whole thing was my responsibility to find the right people and make complaints.
Unfortunately, the only option I had was to write this review, hoping that someone with authority or having the right contacts, would be able to escalate the matter.
10 April 2021 17:28
I would like to say Thank you to Dr. Armogan and the team at OCC. I was referred by optometrist for Glaucoma. He is very good at his job! He explained everything and I found him very empathic. He done my laser procedure to prevent vision loss. It worked and it's a huge relieve. I want to celebrate all the research, technology and amazing knowledge that goes hand in hand to treat us. Cheers!
11 March 2021 13:42
This place is probably good for someone who has had an emergency and needs a quick diagnosis. However, if you have a chronic issue or need a thorough evaluation this is definitely not the place. You do get a feeling of an assembly line and herding cattle here. However, the staff is very friendly and nice. They tape your mask to your face which was unexpected, extremely uncomfortable and not for those who suffer from anxiety or claustrophobia. I saw Dr. McGuire who seemed ok. At the time my eyes were not irritated as I had waited 3 weeks for an emergency appointment. He spent about 10 seconds on each eye and advised that I have dry eye and provided a pamphlet on lid care. I have since had another terrible flare up that basically debilitates me and I have had to make an appointment at a different clinic to get a thorough evaluation and proper diagnosis.
23 January 2021 4:43
All precautions to maintain social distancing and health safety of all patients, visitors and staff are in place. Even with restrictions, services are being offered smoothly.
10 November 2020 18:37
Worst eye care unit ever, long wait periods and appointments are given when the problem is multiple or beyond control. Dr. Ali has no explanations just checks and lets you go without any discussion of your problem.horrible attitude and most unprofessional approach. No one should come to this hideous facility
22 October 2020 7:46
During my cataract surgeries and follow-up, both Dr. Armogan and Dr. Gill have given me the best of care. OCC is organized in such a way as to make sure related treatments and tests are provided during the same appointment while still managing to efficiently accommodate a large number of patients needing care. We are fortunate to have access to this high level of surgical experience.so, no more complaints about wait times!
11 April 2020 6:35
The mangement is horrible, the human resourses people are rude, they don't wanna listen to what you have to say.
12 March 2020 4:16
One of the most unprofessional hospitals I’ve been to. They are never on time, you get scheduled for a time just to go in and wait for two more hours. The doctors are also inpatient and only spends a minute or two with the patient. Would not recommend.
09 March 2020 13:58
Coming to OCC eyecare has been the worst experience I've ever had with a healthcare service. I have come to appts on multiple occasions, each one where I've spent about 4 hours in the waiting room. Twice I've come in and was told to come back because they had made a mistake and forgot to inject me with dye before I was supposed to see the doctor. I had to miss both school and work multiple times because of this. After all this mess I asked for my records to be sent to my optometrist so I could be referred somewhere else. Since then I have called back three other times for these records and nobody seems to have any clue what I'm talking about. I'm still waiting. The lack of care for their patients and the disorganization at OCC is atrocious. Please nobody waste their time here.

I had to hold my tongue many times over a number of visits on my parents request, but even they felt the actual doctor Armogan and there was also a tall female doctor who repeatedly talked to the patients with such an elitist rude manner. They don't even make eye contact with the patients and talk abruptly as if we are inconveniencing their time, I highly reccomend NOT to come here based on their service... Its basically a human mill / assembly line, you can see they are focused on the billable numbers and not a care for service quality, and my neighbour felt the same and left. Its will be clear after your first visit, mississauga has many options for you.

Our experience with this place is too bad. I think doctors there doing fine, but when it comes to their internal communication system; it is terrible.

It takes more than a week to fax a report to another doctor seeing my wife at Sunnybrook hospital. We have called them twice to make sure that the report was sent.

I think they need to be audited by a independent third party and/or government agency and should be kept closed until they correct their internal communication/operation system and train their supporting stuff.

I am now looking for a place/organization to officially make complaints about the way they are operating.

Good care, thorough, helpful staff.

I was quite concerned after reading some of the other reviews, but I had a good experience with Dr. Kosaric. They are very busy and high volume, so you don't get the handholding that you get from your long time family optometrist or doctor, but I found that I was told what I needed to know. I thought the examination was very thorough. Dr. Kosaric spent 10-15 minutes examining my eyes when I first saw him, explained what he found. At the 2nd appt, I was expecting to meet with Dr.for only a minute or 2 to tell me results of tests from the appt but he spent 5+ minutes with me twice during the appt.

Wait times were reasonable. I didn't experience any of the long waits others reported. I had 3 appointments within 1 week and at each appointment the first round of tests were started within a few minutes of my appointment time. Each appt required 1-2 hrs total time but I had 3-4 separate tests/exams at each appt.

I'm giving 4 stars because I believe 5 stars means no room for improvement, which is a standard rarely met.

I am absolutely outraged with this people, they booked me for a laser surgery, I showed up early, got all the drops required and I waited and waited just to find out they made a mistake, the doctor I was booked with wasn't in until next day and the other 2 doctors refused to do it.missed work! So many people looking at the file, received emails reminding me of the appointment and NOBODY noticed! Now I have to bother someone AGAIN to come with me and be at work late! Unreal! So many people and not a slight attention to detail, ya we are in good hands!

My mother in law had an eyelid surgery last week Friday and we called Monday and it is now Tuesday and no call back. I called again and no one called at Ext 715. We need a follow up appt asap however it will be hard if the clinic doesn't call back.

Dr Armogan is the most arrogant, egotistical person I have encountered in a medical situation. I have no doubt his practical skills are some of the best, however his manner leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to get answers and a little information was impossible, he talks over you and only refers to written information that was given to you at various stages in the process.

All the staff have been trained in the same manner and read most of the information to you by rote, therefore they are not able to deviate from their script to answer questions. Their manner of speaking to you is demeaning.

When making decisions regarding lenses, it is not a doctor nor a qualified personnel but they are the ones recommending you a product. At this stage it’s all about how much you will pay.

My situation has resulted in paying for a lense, which I was led to believe would correct a astigmatism. At no time did anyone indicate that this lense might not correct it, which it hasn’t. There should be a refund if this happens. The result is that I now have to wear glasses to get the vision I want.

I understand there are no guarantees but each time I tried to tell Dr Armogan that my vision was blurry he never listened nor admitted that the problem was that the lense never corrected the astigmatism.

All the appointments never gave me any satisfactory information purely because no one listens to you once they have your money and all the money from OHIP for all the wasted appointments and time wasted. After surgery you never get a one on one appointment with the doctor, only in a testing room filled with other patients.

I would definitely not recommend this clinic unless you want to be treated like cattle. Surely in this day and age there are better facilities to get this treatment done.

On Nov. 7th afternoon, I called to make an urgent appointment to see D. Kosaric, because on Sept. 20th I failled one little thing on the test. He was going to try to give his best report to the MTO, and they still suspended my license. OCC said that the Doctor was not in and they would on Nov. 8th before 12P with an answer, but nobody called me. I call OCC back at 1: 30 PM and promised to have a call in 5 minutes, nothing again. I tried to call back at 2: 30 for 1.5 hours until they answer and to tell me that he was already gone. I promised them if I don't get an answer by Monday at 12PM, I will go there at 1PM myself.

One of the worst healthcare service experience. Irrespective of patients; from receptionists, nurses, to doctors. I came almost at the end of the clinic hours and I felt as though I needed to be rushed out of this place because they needed to go home. They did not fully explain the procedures that they were performing to me until I asked. I’m not asking for excellent customer service, but I just want to be informed of the services that I am receiving.

The owner of OCC eyecare is THE highest billing doctor in Ontario, but they way the staff treats patients is disgusting. $4 parking for customers!

Don't waste your time, here. You're better off driving somewhere else 90 mins away, because I have consistently been waiting 3 hours from my appointed time before I get to see Dr. Kosaric. He doesn't even ask me why I'm there, then tells me things are fine and shuffles me out before I can even tell what the problems are.
Go anywhere else.

Dr. Armagon performed emergency vitrectomy surgery on my left eye in May 2014 and then July 2014. He saved my eye! I had lost most of my vision but his miracle hands did the work. Such an efficient and competent surgeon with a team of highly competent and efficient staff - all of them worked like a well-oiled machine. I am periodically visiting him for follow-ups and am impressed by the efficient way each patient is taken care off; no long waiting periods. State of the art clinic with latest technology. My photo is about 2 months after the second surgery and there is no visible evidence of any surgery on my left eye. Most of my vision is restored. I would recommend everyone to consider this clinic before making any decision about the repairing of their eye (s)
An update: Its more than five years since I have been a patient of Dr. Armagon. His handiwork is still holding on! He had to do a similar procedure for my right eye the year after. Bith my eyes are doing just fine. GOD Bless him richly, and may he continue to perform miracles with peoples' eyes

Very unhappy, they called me for appointment and just test for 10 minutes, and then told me that that you have to come next week to see the doctor. Means I have to take two days off for this exam.

Wait times aren't too bad, haven't waited more than an hour after my appointment time to be seen. The reason this place is going to get two stars is for 2 reasons. First, for the waiting time, you only get to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes which is crazy and they seem to be rushing through the appointment. Almost as if your concerns do not need to be heard. And secondly, they sat on bloodwork results for two months with something that the doctor said could have been potentially life-threatening. Had I not asked to push up my appointment, they would have sat on it for another month and I wouldn't have known I needed to see a new specialist. This to me is unacceptable. If the doctor sees something that is truly a big health concern, they should 1 tell you on the phone, 2 get your appt sooner or 3 get the info to your family doctor so you can follow up with them sooner. If I have the option, I will ask to see another ophthalmologist altogether, even though the Dr was nice. That experience was off-putting, especially because during that time, some health issues arose and knowing about that blood work maybe could have helped.

The worst place ever! Appointment times mean absolutely nothing! Waiting 3 hours for an appointment and still waiting. If your taking someone book the whole day off. They treat you like cattle. Try booking less so the service is at least a 1 star.
