Heard about them through word of mouth and was amazed that they sold Hokas for $50 less than the running room! I will always come here for shoes

Everytime I go in Al's ready to buy, I walk out empty handed. For all the shoes and boots they have in there, they either don't have my size or I just don't love the selection.

Andra is awesome, she will ensure you're 100% satisfied with your selection/s. My favorite shoes store.

Their website is impossible to navigate, as someone who doesn't drive, I'm not going to bus or cab out there to find they don't have the shoes I'm looking for.

Awesome selection, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and I generally pay less than other shoe stores. The inside looked a bit disorganized when I first went in, but I eventually got some help and left with 4 pairs of great shoes.

Staff are friendly and helpful there Is a fair selection but not enough sizes and it's exchange or store only no refund which also makes it difficult

It was interesting getting shoes for grand daughter, grandson, daughter and myself.

Excellent shoe store! Courtney helped us and she was amazing! We have searched high and low for a good supportive and comfort toddler shoe and this was the ONLY store in all of Brantford and Haldimand County to have toddler sizes that aren’t for looks, but really support the natural development of a young child’s foot.

The prices were excellent, staff were very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable and we couldn’t be more happy!

Our 1.5 yr old daughter is set for the summer!

My husband and I will be back to get us some also:)

Prices are the same as other places. They used to be a better priced but have matched or surpassed Ancaster shoe stores.

Excellent customer service, east to find help. Bought a pair of shoes and slippers. Unfortunately the shoes are a bit tight, I have to take one off while driving, (painful). I hope they will stretch out a bit, I asked for 5E but none available.

Great store with the most helpful staff. They have such a wide variety of shoes although you can't always find your size. I have bought many high quality shoes here.

The best shoe store in southwestern Ont. The selection and prices are excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who also have a ton of patience. Especially when dealing with young and old.

Love shopping at Al's. They always have the shoes I need for my family of five for school, work, or recreation.

We couldn't find a pair of the shoes my girlfriend wanted and one of the associates Andra found them for us in a kids size! Not only did she get us what we wanted - these were also taxed less than adult shoes! We didn't even ask for help but Andra went out of the way to find us a pair when we couldn't see any and then brought them to us! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would! She should get a raise!

Went to al's shoes for runners. Came away with 3 pair of shoes. Sales ladies were excellent. Funny, talkative, extremely helpful. Would recommend al's shoes to every one. Great variety. Great prices. Best part of the experience was the staff. Great experience.

Al's offers a large selection of shoes/boots and they are always getting different stock. They do not always have the size you need and cannot always tell if the shoe you want will be restocked. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. It is definitely worth a visit!

A bit unorganized but that could be due to space constraint. You'll find different colored shoes in one row making it hard to find a different size of the exact same model/color.

Keep in mind this is no factory outlet. Although the prices are not steep, they are uncomparable to some clearance mainstream branded outlets.

Will I visit next time?
Depends, if I have no other choice.

Al's has such a great selection of footwear. I have a wide foot and found a great pair of boots for winter.

Meh lots of stuff but never really what I want. Kinda pricey but seems on par with other places.

Lots of shoe choices! There are a lot of employees on the floor that are eager to help you. Can be a little overwhelming.

Less than a month after buying a pair of shoes (boots), one of the shoelace eyelets separated from the boot

Disappointing trip. 8-10 employees on the sales floor who were not busy, all standing in a large group talking amongst themselves. After being in the store for 20 minutes, still not one from the group had acknowledged or approached any customers, including myself.
The sales rep I approached was polite and offered to ask a coworker to help her find the shoes I had asked for. Understandably they only had 1 size left available, but there was no offer to help me find something similar. Nor was there an offer to order the size I requested, if that was an available option.
I will never return. Poor service for such high prices.

Quality footwear at affordable prices, i bought a guess purse for my wife but we found the clasp was having a hard time latching, returned and exchanged the bag with no problems and they put the extra money on a gift card for a future purchase. I buy my wife a purse from here every Christmas and will be back again next year.

A lot of name brands good quality. Not an inexpensive place if you need to ask how much.dont go there.

Great selection for kids boots and runners. Could use more for the stylish 8 year old girl. Excellent staff and good prices. Not walmart shoes.

Lots of selection. Place wasn't busy so staff were overly helpful. Found a lot of items seemed marked up to be discounted. Compared prices online while shopping. Ended up going elsewhere for what we needed.

Been shopping here for years! I buy two pairs a year. Latest shoes just didn’t fit right.

There is a wide variety of shoes to choose from at reasonable prices. The staff are VERY helpful from recommending shoe styles to taking shoes you are putting back for you. Great experience all around. They also have sizes a lot of places don't.

Staff were not pleasant. Seemed to be bothering them for service. Front counter staff barley acknowledged my presence except to take money

Lots of employees to help you find what you want. Lots of styles and colors to choose from. Prices however are really high specially when you have to buy 3 pairs for 3. Children. Never mind if you yourself needs a pair too.

Prompt sevice and excellent staff. Walked in, approach and in two minutes my wife and I were on our way home with what we were looking for.

Absolutely BRUTAL SERVICE today. You would think walking by 6 staff, 1 might offer assistance or say hello? Not sure why you have so much staff if nobody does there job. Terrible.

Staff very helpful, pricing on most items is great but do your research, we found the shoes we were looking for at sportchek $40 cheaper. Could have just been a good sale at sportchek but worth shopping around when you are looking for something specific.

Enormous selection, from leisure to casual to work. Great brands and excellent quality shoes. Lots of sales associates available. They are very helpfuI and don't pressure. I abuse my footwear and I normally wear out my soles in only 3 months when I buy from any other store. The shoes I bought from Al's are going strong after a year, and still have lots of heavy use left. Expect to spend $75-$140 on average.

This is typically my first stop when looking for shoes of any type. I get everything from my steel toe work boots and shoes to open toe summer foot wear here. The selection is huge!

Picked up sketchers for my 5yr old, was greeted quickly and happily, shoes were properly fitted on her and even got an additional $10 off sale price without even asking for a deal.

Received assistance as soon as i got to the department i needed and was helped the entire time i was there. Love going here for work shoes
