What a magical place this is! Arguably fable-like in it's wonders. Ideal place for an afternoon browse and a hand hold (should you be so lucky!).

I found this wonderful book shop while searching for local curators of older books. I am so happy to have found it.

Upon arriving, we found out that the new owner recently purchased this book store from the retiring owner. She said she was looking for something different than her current career at the time - and this opportunity came up! Sometimes, when it was meant to be, it just is; why fight the universe! The previous owner retired just last week but she looked wholeheartedly comfortable in her new environment. Since it was our first visit, she was kind enough to inform us how the store was laid out and that the pricing for each book could be found in the front of the books or one of the first few pages if not on the back of the cover page.

Today, I was looking for some newer and older cookbooks to add to my collection. For a store that is not too large, their selection was impressive.

As is the case when I enter a bookstore, I instantly felt my blood pressure lower with every book I touched. I have absolutely nothing against the digital world but by gosh there is something heart warming and intimate about holding a book in your hands and getting a whiff of that aging paper smell.

I could have bought a lot of books but settled on two for today! I love reading cookbooks like one would read a magazine or paperback. All of the books I looked at were in great condition and were priced as expected.

Out of the two I purchased today, I am most looking forward to reading; “Kintsugi Wellness: The Japanese Art of Nourishing Mind, Body, and Spirit” by Candice Kumai.

The new owner told us many people were happy that the store would not be closing following the sale of the business. Having spent a short 30 minutes in the store, I now have a better understanding of why it is dear to so many. I will definitely be back.

Loved this place! Perhaps best organized second hand bookstore that I have visited. Great selection of books.

A quaint, old school bookshop with a range of fiction and literature to history and sciences. The smell of paper and the classical music created a really pleasant and calm mood.

A friend of mine and I went there recently and we both walked away with at least 3 books. The man running the shop was kind and attentive, and electronic payment was a pleasant surprise as I had forgotten my wallet.

I expect we'll be returning to have another look about soon!

Such a wonderful place! The books are all in fantastic condition. There's a good selection of academic work, which is also great. I wish they had more social science books, but still incredible!

Old school book store. The owner is informative and a pleasure to speak with. He is such a decent example of patient human that he can withstand conversing with me (hyper as I may become).
Well stocked, enjoyable stock to peruse and comfortable temperature. Recommend highly.

If you want to experience vintage aesthetic vibes, you should visit this place as soon as possible. If you love to read books and so does your date, it would be a great place to stay. Even if you are single, it's an excellent place to visit. I love the aura of this place seems like you are travelling in the ocean of knowledge.

I always love stopping by here and often end up with far more books than I planned on picking up. Certainly one of my favorite stores in KW. Great vibe, prices, and selection!

Wonderful, courteous bookstore that tended to my time constraints more quickly than I could have expected. And the book is in pristine condition despite being published in the late 60s! Can’t wait to visit the shop in person.

Fantastic used book store, never fail to find something worth my time or to have an interesting conversation with the owners/operators. A little bit on the expensive side but they are very selective in their inventory.

It's a gem to word-lovers in the KW community. We love the floor to ceiling wooden shelves filled with books to the brim. It's cozy and time-pausing with the gentle classical music playing in the background. We always leave with a used book to enjoy at home. Grateful to have these folks nearby.

They had great prices on two classic chess books:) The guy was very knowledgeable and showed me where they were in seconds, they also take debit which is convenient.

Definitely one of our favourite second hand book stores! The only draw back is that it's not very accessible for disabilities, but the location doesn't really allow for improvement.

It's the best bookstore in Waterloo. It has a cozy type of vibe. Great selection of science fiction and fantasy. I could live there.

I found something related to what I was after, and picked up a couple kids books while we were there. Overpriced, but I would still like to support used book stores so I'd go back.

Great store, I have purchased there in the past. This week I had a list of about 30 mostly obscure books, I emailed John a list of my books, he checked his stock and emailed me back promptly. Excellent customer service!

Despite its small size, this tiny store manages to cram in a huge volume of all kinds of books. The selection is surprisingly varied, and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a library.

Lovely place. I found an unusual book I had been looking for on their website search function, reserved it and then popped in to pick it up. Really pleasant owner and a great atmosphere in the cosy store for browsing around. I will definitely be going back

First of all, freely admit I love a good used book store. There's always the thrill of discovering a book you didn't know existed at a fantastic price.

Old Goat books is one of those stores. Crammed with all sorts of high quality used books, I could spend hours just browsing The owner is very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
