Old Mill Family Restaurant

This was a beautiful - yet unassuming from the outside - family restaurant located in the heart of town. It was a very lovely visit, with great staff, and a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. You know it's a good spot when all the locals go there, and do they ever! I listened as the waitress said hello to every customer as they walked in - by name! We were pretty much the only ones she didn't recognize, but she treated us just as warmly as she did her regulars. A couple of her customers took the time to fill her in on their nice vacation away, as she previously said "Hey *insert first names here*! I haven't seen you in a while, it's good to see you! " And the warmth and family environment could immediately be felt by that relationship between her and the customers.

The food was excellent, and the portions were HUGE for what you paid for. When I left, I felt like I was robbing the place for the price I paid and the amount of food we ate!

Don't pass this place up, it might not look like much on the outside.but you get so much more when you walk through the doors.

I hadn't been in the restaurant since it was "Sloan's" a long time ago. I'd read that their fish & chips were good and they didn't disappoint. Best halibut battered in house with fries and onion rings! Highly recommend! I haven't tried the breakfast but it looked great too.

We went to the old mill recently. The blueberry pancakes are absolutely fantastic! Service was amazing with friendly staff. Overall a great experience.

When I'm working in the Coldwell Banker Real estate office on main St we always stop in to dine here. Great food, Great portions, nice clientele. Thank you

The restaurant is nice and open, high ceiling, the wait staff and owners are friendly and cordial, but the food is dynamite. I refuse to eat a burger anywhere else.

The veg burger was not well put together. The fish was not seasoned well and the batter was very soggy. The fries were ok as well

Great little diner. Prices were good, good food selections with some gf options. Definitely try the pancake with blueberry compote

The lady even by herself she covers the whole place, but that doesn’t mean she can’t do it, she is very caring about the costumer and makes sure you have everything you need so you can have a good experience
You might wait a little depending in how busy but its worth the wait, i recommend

Our family was visiting from out of town and looking for a family restaurant instead of a fast food franchise. We were pleasantly happy to stumble on to this location. Large, clean, fast & very attentive service, great variety on the menu, food was sizable portions, prices are on par. This is definitely a positive mention and I will be returning for future meals. Good job

I don't often give 5 stars, BUT the food and service is fantastic. The old mill feels like you are welcomed home.
The servings are very generous.

Nicely decorated but extremely slow service and disorganized. Staff are very hard working but they sit more people than they could ever feasibly serve.

Great breakfast! I love that they don't add milk to their omelets. Will definitely be back!

We recently visited a charming family run diner and were blown away by the experience. While there was one server at the time we visited (noon on a Saturday), who looked like the owner, the service was still impeccable. We ordered quite a few items off the menu I.e. Eggs Benedict, omelettes, classic breakfast, French toasts (8 in total, one for each), each one was outstanding and portions were huge. We even ordered their freshly brewed coffee which I personally enjoyed and my friends ordered the hot chocolate, which they absolutely loved. And we ended up paying around $20 per person, going home with more than full belly’s.
Overall, we had an exceptional experience at this family-run diner, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comforting and welcoming meal. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was outstanding.

I decided to stop to have a late breakfast. This is a good option in the area to get some breakfast, food is regular, but service is awful… for what they make they should be not only faster but providing a better service to customers. Don’t stop here if you are in a rush, food is ok but not worth the lack of service. Also price was IMO in the high end for what they serve.

Quaint restaurant not far from where I’m visiting so tried it out this morning. I was greeted right away and felt very welcomed. I was by myself but didn’t feel awkward. Food was tasty but Luke warm. The menu has a nice variety of choices. I was glad it wasn’t a big menu. I will visit this restaurant again but, will make sure to ask for my food to be hot when it comes out.

I had a western omelette and it was quite tasty.
Service was very good and the dining room was clean and tidy.
Great place for a quick bite.
