I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Old Mills Afternoon Tea, and I must say it was a truly delightful and memorable experience. This hidden gem transports you to a bygone era while tantalizing your taste buds with exquisite flavors.

As I entered the quaint old mill, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior was beautifully decorated with vintage furniture, floral patterns, and delicate china, creating a truly enchanting ambiance.

The star of the show, of course, was the afternoon tea itself. Presented on a three-tiered stand, it was a feast for the eyes. Each tier showcased an array of delectable treats, perfectly arranged with precision and care. From delicate finger sandwiches with various fillings to freshly baked scones, everything was prepared with the utmost attention to detail.

The sandwiches were a delightful assortment of flavors. The bread was soft and fresh, providing the perfect foundation for the fillings. Wonderful afternoon tea! Yummy goodies, amazing tea. Good service. A bit pricy but it is high tea! Nicely decorated for Christmas.

Brunch buffet is back!

Interesting selection, good variety, however its different from precovid.

Desserts were really really good!

My friends and I tried the High tea experience, everything was very tasty and the service incredible! The only thing was the timing. 2 hours weren't enough to eat, chat and enjoy all the different flavors.

Beautiful place inside and outside. It's a great place for photosessions. I would visit the restaurant next.

The Old Mill is super customer-focused and they always go out of their way to make sure that everyone is extremely happy with their service.

The environment was great! Loved it. The food was fine ok. They could have done better. Lack of buffet varieties.

Need to create better wheelchair access to washrooms. The mother of the groom had to be taken by the kitchen elevator to get to the nearest washroom. Shameful and embarrassing

Stayed for two days, absolutely phenomenal time. Hotel is stunning as is the surrounding area. The bartender at the Home Smith bar is amazing. Will without question be back.

The buffet option for brunch is too expensive and the offerings and quality are not the best. If you're going to charge that much you better up the quality and the presentation of the food. It won't be on my list of places to return anytime soon

Stone structure so of it over 100 years old. The people were great and the room was spacious and clean. They need to fix the elevator. What a place to have a wedding.

I had my bridal shower here in September 2021. The only reason I give it 4 stars is becasue the day off the servers that worked with me on my bridal shower were just amazing. Just so quick and friendly. Leading up to planning my shower I was treated so badly. And it was all by management and event staff. My emails were ignored and my phone calls. It was outrageous. I was told I would get my room fee waived for over 2 years! (Of planningy shower with them? They did NOT honor that. It was all a bunch of lies. I would never recommend to plan an event with them. It was the hardest and most unpleasant experience. They had almost ruined my dream of having high tea. At the old mill. (which was the only reason i stayed with them after being treated so poorly) i didn't think The Old Mill would ever have been the place to treat people like this. Especially being in the industry they're in! Thank God last minute Penny helped set up my shower for me and the servers helped make it a perfect day.

We have experienced Mother's Day and Christmas Day brunch and Thanksgiving dinner and just a regular lunch at the Old Mill. Always good food and nice atmosphere.

Like a fairytale, love to go there in any season. Now with the Christmas decoration is just wonderful

I have had the Old Mill in my life since I was born. Showers, weddings, dinner and spa, we always came here, even had my wedding here. The customer service was always average up until my last transaction.

Old Mill was supposed to host a Christmas Market Last year which was canceled because of Covid. An email was then sent saying a new even would be planned in the future, coincidently just outside the 'eventbrite' refund period. No event was made and no further correspondence was made. Upon contacting the venue for the past few months, I have gotten the run around for a refund. If an event is canceled, the money should be refunded or a credit given. People shouldn't have to Juno through hoops to get this. I still haven't received any word and no one seems to return my calls or emails.

I was also just told today that the money mat have been donated. This is fraud. You cannot take funds from your paying customers and donate to receive a tax break.

As someone who opened up a business ess months before covid and was hit with many difficulties as NEW BUSINESS, we returned all monies for clients who had prepaid for events which had to be canceled, it was the right thing to do.

I am really appalled on how such a Toronto Institute and pong standing business would treat their customers.

Hopefully people think twice before supporting this venue.

I love the place, very spacious and clean. But…. Careful about your valuable things. Outsiders took my iPhone mini. And we trace it, using find my iPhone. Good that we find the guy who took my phone. Lesson, don’t get drunk too much. Lol

Service at the restaurant was great. Food was okay. We went here for brunch and it was not anything out of the ordinary. Location is excellent.

We always stay at the Old Mill when in Toronto.
I just want to mention to please stop getting the Nespresso stuff.
We like the regular coffee makers as most people do because we can have decaf and also tea. Many people can't stand Nespresso. Stop it.
Also the t.vs need upgrading. We watching a strip on the screen as the Aspect feature to change the picture to a regular size is not available on the clean remotes.
Your t.v. ;s need upgrading badly and please think about getting satellite instead of cable.
If you get Nespresso in every room rather than what you have now, we will break with tradition and find another hotel to stay in after 20 years.
I strongly recommend grab bars in the bathroom.

Amazing hotel! Stayed for one night as an aniversery getaway and had a great time, was a shame it was raining so much, cant wait to come back and explore the grounds when the weather is better

Friend had a wedding here, also had my communion here long time ago. Lovely charming place, pleasant staff and fantastic food. Hotel prices bit overpriced.

Just outside side on the parking lot runs the Humber River and it very beautiful to see crane birds and very nice place the hotel is very beautiful hidden Just amazing from the outside can't imagine what is like in the inside

Their service is ok and their waiters are friendly and professional. They only have few items on their breakfast menu. Never ever order their classic breakfast because you'll get only 2 eggs, baked potato and bread or some bacon for 19$ which it's not worth it.

It'a beautiful place with a jazz bar and gorgeous grounds. Across the street a beautiful park with plenty of parking where you can walk alongside Humber River.

Excellent and relaxed atmosphere, one of the best spa specialists.
You have to wear mask during all procedures in the spa.

Attended a wedding reception.the service was fair, but the atmosphere was a bit too dank and dark. The restaurant has a very colonial ambience; and not in a good way.

I would almost call it misleading when they accepted a 40 anniversary dinner reservation for Indoor dining present us with patio seating and a menu of hamburger and chicken fingers, ridiculous!

Very good patio and good quality food, the service and staff are also some of the best I've ever seen. They're very professional and make you feel welcome in a way you don't find at normal restaurants especially the blonde lady manager and the bartender.

Very nice place, we were married 20 years ago and decided since we can't go away we'd spend it where it all began. The staff is amazing, Jeff was great to us.

It had extravagant forest green leather couches, the decor was very classy and elegant, a very ritzy place.

First off Christine from the Spa is AMAZING. I give her 5 stars this review is only for HOTEL. The spa is open and I would go there another time. Unfortunately the hotel decided a week before my moms 90 birthday that they were not going to open. I spent alot of time looking for the perfect place and now it may be too late to book anywhere else. It would have been nice if they gave me more notice.

The place is absolutely mesmerizing. Beautiful vintage setting gives you all the right feels!
Special mention to the warm welcome by the host and server Val making sure we were comfortable.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The service is unparalleled to any restaurant in the city. The price is comparable to other high end places but it's so worth it!

The spa is my favorite one in the city. I've tried different ones but this one has the complete experience (pre-covid) : great massage, quiet amenities, healthy snacks, nice music, and relaxing bath. I just visited the spa after reopening due to COVID-19, and the team has a great protocol in place to keep everyone safe while still making the most of the treatment.

Went for high tea on Saturday with a girlfriend. Such a lovely set up, and their treats were delicious! I think our favourite finger sandwich was the smoked salmon - we definitely could have done without the cucumber and cream cheese one though. The scones were to DIE for! They kept out nice and warm: one savoury (cheddar and chive) and one sweet (lemon & cranberry) - we ended up ordering another plate. We also ordered a Ruffino sparkling Rose to go with our desserts. Highly recommend for a girls' luncheon or a romantic date:)

Celebrated my 50th birthday, and other milestones, at the buffet here with friends and always blown away. Best martinis I've ever had as well. Old Mill is my go-to for classy, memorable, personal celebrations.

Have had numerous clients stay there during business trips and all felt that they were treated special, remembers their names, helpful, quick to satisfy any requests.
Quite a few have gone back with their families during a personal trip.
Close to Downtown, close to the airport, great food choices.

We attended a Wedding at the Old Mill. It was so beautiful and has so much history. I gave 4 stars as the venue was far from the restrooms and my nanny has a bad hip so it was very far for her to walk. The food was great and so was the service.

Brunch at Old Mill's restaurant provide a very intimate experience. Meeting someone important or family or friend over a good food leaves a memorable imprint.

Really nice place. Have been going for years. But Christmas brunch wasn't good. I know the place gets packed with people. Our table with the pathway to the food. Some people bumped into our table including a kitchen staff. She looked really mad and gave us a mean look as if we bumped her with the table. A lot of the fish dishes were dry. It just seemed like not a very good selection of food.
We usually go for the Christmas dinner. That is better food.
This year I was disappointed.

It was an overall very subpar experience. We went for the afternoon tea, and our table of two (the only Asians in the room) received vastly different treatments compared to other Caucasians. While other tables were immediately served and offered complimentary mimosa, it was never offered to us by our server. Food came first to those tables that were seated later than us. It might seem frivolous, but our teapots were not refilled while others were repeatedly offered hot water refill. It wasn’t because we sat far away from others either, immediately next to us was a pair of Caucasian mother and daughter, but our table was repeatedly neglected. I should also mention that despite having larger tables available, we were seated at a smaller, wobbly table that the server made no attempt to remedy while other pairs were seated at large, more comfortable tables. I still paid 15% tip, which I thoroughly regret now that I’m writing this review.

Had the holiday lunch buffet. Food was above average. Meat was a little dry. Ambience and service was very good. JUICE DOES NOT COME WITH THE BUFFET PRICE!

This place is classically nice and elegant. I organized and attended an open house event here for a private school and I look forward to either hosting more events at this location or come back to this location for events. It is a great place to do such business meetings, parties, and I bet staying overnight in a hotel room would be a fantastic experience as well. Staff is helpful and charming.

Attended for an event. It's a nice looking venue and easy to get to. There were issues with the A/V the first day, but other than that everything went smoothly.

My wife and I go to the Old Mill every Boxing Day with her parents for brunch. The atmosphere and location are incredible. You really can't compare the building to other dining experiences. Attire ranges from casual to formal and brunch is served as a buffet. This is also where I proposed.

Went in for a Sunday Holiday dinner. The food was amazing with a large variety to choose from, lots of meats, sweets and specialty dishes such as a turkey or the beef roast. Even though thr place was packed you did not have to wait long or at all for food to get replaced by the staff.

The Christmas brunch was great. The food selection was vast and the staff are friendly and readily available when needed. I would definitely visit again.

Went for Christmas brunch, sorry to say but the food was bland. No flavour, and for the money I was disappointed. C’mon guys, for Christmas, you got to be better. Service could help too, also maybe include some wine or something other than coffee or tea into the $54.95 per person buffet.

The food is always good, but they try to put to many tables couldn't move, and for same reason when one of the guests (92) years old ask for a steak knife they said, we don't have one.

We went to Old Mill for a work, holidays lunch. It was an excellent buffet, the servers were prompt in clearing dishes and filling beverages and the decor was elegant. Great for special occasions as it is pricey. Would go again.

Came with my family for Xmas Eve dinner. The ambiance was fantastic, and the food and service were good. The downside was our seating was double-booked, resulting in a 45 minute line up for hot food. We won't be returning for Xmas dinner.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill. Its historic and classic atmosphere made for a great getaway and the accommodations were excellent. The restaurant and bar were very nice although the lunch buffet was overpriced. It was the holiday season though so that may have increased the price.

Went for the chritsmas brunch. The atmosphere the decor was all fantastic but the food was lacking. For such a beautiful place the food is really just ok.

The Old Mill Hotel restaurant is always an amazing treat! The decor is always breathtaking and the food is always tasty! The buffet offers a variety of food- I love the pasta and meat selections offered! The seating areas are large and each section is beautiful, but I'd recommend making reservations as it still gets busy!

Their staff are friendly and prompt, reminding me of the level of customer service you would have at a high-end spa. I haven't checked out the spa here, as of yet, but I will update you all when I can visit again!

Parking is available across the road and is close enough to walk to the restaurant fairly easy. That being said, be nice and let the poor people in heels out at the door, as the sidewalk can get icy in the winter months
