To start off I definitely do not recommend this school
It is bused, waste of money, and is limiting. Only stupid kids go here. I have classmates who yell in class, meow, don’t stop talking. A specific girl asks the teacher inappropriate questions, spins around on her chair with her arms in the air, lies down in front of the class in the middle of the class, makes rude comments but the teachers don’t do anything about it. Teaches control the wrong things and wrong students. They care too much about irrelevant things but can’t fix things right in front of their eyes. All we want is a bare school experience. Olive grove is not an Islamic school it’s a private school for Muslim kids. Ms toor cares too much about uniform but nothing else. A girl wasn’t wearing the dress shirt under her hoodie (it doesn’t even show) and a teacher pulled down her hoodie and showed her undershirt in front of the whole class (it was a mixed class) Ms toor will send students home, get their parents to pick them up from school or drop off uniform if they’re wearing the wrong thing as if parents don’t have their own lives and work to go to. There is no privacy for students. Teachers can see Chromebook screens, read chats and they ask girls who are clearly at the back if they’re ACTUALLY not praying. Grade 12s and grade 6s have the same Chromebook curfew at 10pm. The wifi doesn’t work even though tuition is more than my organs. Ogs is money hungry and really do not care for the well being of their students, they only care about their name and how they look. They cause burn out for the students and over work loads making students to not do well and get blamed for their underperformance when the teachers can’t even teach properly either.
Olive grove high school students do not get a choice to pick their electives because ogs does not have proper facilities, limiting students to teach their full potential. Also they blocked kammi. Main point, do better ogs.

So I spent a few days just thinking about where i should even start. This school is the definition of a disappointing piece of lard. If i were to say everything I would be here until my bloodline ends so ill list the main points. I find it hilariously funny how much the girls are favored over the boys and they dont even try to hide it, take for example miss Itani (I would have no faith in the masculine community if it were Mrs) she did not give a single damn about the boys in her classes, she pretty much ignored all the boys and glazed every single girl. I know of a fellow student who got in trouble many times and he did not do a single damn thing, along with multiple other boys. She is just one person, now imagine almost every single teacher doing that and the very few who aren't are slowly turning towards the sith everyday and it keeps me up at night seeing all of that. It was made clear that a group of females had the choice to pick their next year classrooms while all boys were separated and the one girl who didn't want to be in in class got to choose whether she could leave or not while all the boys got split up without a choice. The only non female favor thing in this school would probably be putting a girl in a room and not allowing her to leave until she gives a video to two fellow teachers who are probably dating and even then, it was to get the boys suspended. I may not have all the details because that happened in a different grade from which I am at. Speaking of grades, they decided it would be a good idea to turn a middle school with 3 grades into one hallway. At times I just have to think they are joking, I pray for the future of humanity that they are matter of fact id respect it. The lack of new teachers actually being able to teach also is very concerning. New homeroom grade 6 teacher happens to be from the first world war and cant teach for her life and they decided that Mrs Adlouni was somehow important this year (bro literally thinks she's Dumbledore). Now i have listed probably 1% of the schools problems and I just get even more flabbergasted trying while typing this, its almost as if I don't really believe what I am typing because of how ridiculous it sounds. This school is run by hunchbacks and is more corrupt than the Chinese government in 1964. Do not take this comment down because then you would be covering up the truth and it will be posted right back. I hope that someone can take over the school and make right choices but the chances of that happening are equivalent to the chances of cats beating dogs in a fight. Thank you for listening to my ted talk.

DO NOT PAY THE WAITING LIST FEE. They took hundreds of dollars from our family to place us on a multi year waiting then never provided updates or status of the applications. When we finally moved in they refused to reimburse. I have spoken to multiple parents this seems to be a strategy apparently they only take referrals from doctor families etc. Do not support them.

Teachers are so biased to girls and always more strict to the boys there are rules that don’t even make sense wouldn’t recommend

I expect schools, no matter public or private- to put the well-being of our kids first. My nephew rejoined in-person learning towards the second half of school year after 2 years of online learning. As an 8 year old, it's difficult in a lot of ways. Ranging from socializing, making friends, confidence, and just catching up to speed with the rest of the kids. It's unfortunate that my nephew has experienced countless accounts of BULLYING. While I personally haven't attended OGS, I know the teachers haven't done much after escalation (i.e. Taking the benefit of the doubt from the bully instead of the victim). Must we wait for a tragedy for something to be done? Any parent or guardian reading this, enroll your child with caution. The level of professionalism doesn't seem to be there when it comes to addressing this.

Our kids have been loving it! Teachers are really hard working and there is a lot of focus on islamic character building.
01 June 2022 5:03
Money hungry school. Teachers are insanely strict and don't have a clue on how to properly teach & nurture students.
I was made to stand on a wall and yelled at by my Arabic teacher for doing poorly on a test.

Source: I graduated from this school. I would never send my own children here.
Private schools are not always better.
17 May 2022 14:19
Great curriculum. Teachers are caring and concerned for the well being of my 3 kids going there. Would recommend.
26 March 2022 13:36
As someone who went to this school for years (and is now 20) DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE.they are ridiculously strict about random things.i remember getting several detentions, in which i had to stand against the wall during recess and watch other kids play, just for not getting a signature on my agenda when i was like 7…. The “islamic” environment is actually just toxic as they teach the WRONG things to students and do the opposite of preparing them for the world.i remember a teacher told us there’s no reason we should ever be talking to the opposite gender and then she was absolutely throwing herself at another male teacher in front of us.this school is also extremely money hungry and doesn’t care about your child at all.please save your money and make a better decision for your child!

Excellent school but extremely expensive. I know they need support from parents but it's really hard on us too
30 June 2021 12:00
It is a good school but it needs some improvement, the teacher are a little harsh and strict, the bathrooms are a little dirty, the basketball nets are a little ripped out side, the field has so many rappers on the ground, there’s no Majid in the elementary building, instead we pray on mats which are put down on the gym floor, feels very weird and my head starts to hurt because the mats are thin and the floor is so hard etc!
The uniforms are pretty expensive and are not comfortable tbh with y’all
The school fees is expensive too: C Like why?
Barley has non uniform day, and has less assemblies, which students like to have but they don’t.
Education worthy is okay but not the best in my opinion, the explanation is just confusing from the teachers lol
This is my review about the school!: C
28 June 2021 22:17
Amazing school teachers and staff! My kids have not missed any part of the curriculum despite the pandemic. The principal, Mr. Bakbak is extremely hardworking and a great leader. Thank you OGS!

Olive grove is great for both elementary and middle school. But for High school, I won’t prefer it to anyone. Us students are not given enough options to select courses. Teachers should be linenent in marking in high school because us students need to go university/collages. Example, if a student wants to pressure English as his subject, Olive grove won’t allow that because they say” Book is to inappropriate” which they give in university/collages. We’re in high school we know what is wrong and what is right. Lastly, environment not to many students in this school because they don’t have space they say. Therefore, to conclude this review I say that it is a waste for money.

It was used to be a good school but unfortunately and sadly they became a money making machine now
very poor in replying don't even care to email back what ever the matter nothing is important for them.week ago I emailed Teacher principal and vice principal but no answer and" this is not the first time"
i am with olive grove since 2012 but this is not the school I chose 13 years ago
i don't like to put reviews for any one but i had no other option

It's all about the money.
Things could have been better.
Teachers could have been without bias.
Theres a difference between advising and scolding.
Student/Teacher comms were a joke.
Money disappears.
They know their issues.
Maybe it was time they changed.

School is good but certain teachers make it a horrible experience (a certain teacher). A lot of teachers get you in trouble for minor reasons, and if you forget your tie at home for they boys they force you to buy a new one even if you forget it once. On the other hand, some teachers are amazing. Ms Alameddine, Ms sahib, Mister R and Mr. Dakhli were amazing
14 November 2020 22:01
I have been to this School let me say it was Terrible, Had a better Experience at a Public School then this Dump. Serious had Teachers against me and made around $500,000 of me with zero Moral Teachings
18 October 2020 21:26
This school is just an expensive way of programming your child to be very studious. Academics are great and your kid can learn a lot. However, student favouritism is strong at OGS which isn't good for student's mental health. The teachers were amazing, but now the VP makes them act strict and petty with students. Fortunately, their high academic standards and teaching methods help kids learn better (straight A's not guaranteed), BUT they penalize (incident report and/ suspension) you for trivial things like showing ankles and wearing nail polish. Teachers also scold your child for borrowing school supplies from the opposite gender.

Very nice teachers, just very biased towards girls. Honestly, this school is trying to do more than they can afford. They have 1 free event per year, and the event is for students who have been there for over 7 years, the other events, can be up to $40 for a child. The waiting list is insane. One of my friends waited 5 years on the waiting list and he doesn't even like the school. The math teachers are very strict even though the language teachers are amazing. The school got extremely upset when one of the students commented on the schools instagram. They invade peoples privacy by looking at what the students are doing on their personal devices when they are on campus. This is a fairly new thing the school started this year, hopefully they see this review and try fixing these problems. Follow me on Instagram @yusuf.n. 0_0
edit: i changed my review to 3 stars because the school doesn't have enough chairs

This place is a good school. The academics are really good and the teachers are very helpful, but some teachers favor the girls which is unfair and annoying and its a lot of money.
05 February 2020 15:29
OGS is an amazing place to go to. Teachers are very helpful and amazing, yes some teachers can be bias toward boys and the teachers have to realize it but not all teachers are bias. The office tries there best. It's a big school I love the people in the school and Olive Grove is like my second home. We all should be thankful for coming here! And my opinion is that this is the best school to go to for me.
05 February 2020 8:15
Its a good school
I thought it was going to be hard, but the teachers explain everything
very well. Also the teachers are very nice and always try hard to make the students understand. I have only been at this school for three months and so far so good:)
10 January 2020 8:34
This school is overall great, but they have to work on treating students fairly. They are biased to girls. The academics here are amazing, i have learned a lot over the years from the school. I strongly disagree with what Blank Blank has to say.the teachers are actually amazing.
27 December 2019 16:58
This school has teachers who are VERY Bias and a lot of favouritism going on.
Let me give you an example on favouritism.
There is a teacher in the school who has a favourite student. Some students (including favourite) have not done homework. The teacher writes down all names except the favourite student
Ex 2.
The Teacher comes in the class, hands that student a HOT CHOCOLATE from Tim Hortons. Some students call her Bias and she tells them to be quiet and she will give them hot chocolate.
Bias ex.
A boy and a girl get the same answer wrong. The teacher calls the girl, tells her that at least she tried, gives her 50% of that questions mark. On the other hand, she gives the boy 0% of that question
16 October 2019 19:58
They are taking the money for online registration form but every year they dont have any spots available my kids are on waiting list for 3 years.they didnt even bother to reply just took the money.
13 October 2019 5:26
I have been on the waiting list for 4 years and even now they say I could have to wait 3 more years. My kids will be in highschool in 3 more years. Not sure whats going on.
10 September 2019 17:09
Terrible.teachers favour students, unprofessional system.teachers are bad.students education isnt up to date.what they teach you in grade eight is what other schools teach in grade 6/7. Irise program is bad, yet they praise it so highly.
02 August 2019 13:40
Actually pretty good school. Made massive expansions and it’s not even that old. The only bad part is how THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAKE A UNIVERSITY IN 2016! I don’t see a university. Do you?
24 July 2019 2:35
This school overall is good but it has a lot of problems.the teachers are bias towards the girls.the school is overpriced and try to get money out of u any chance they get.the uniform for middle school may look formal but it is uncomfortable and expensive.i went to the soccer team and had to pay $40 for the bus fee.i mean come on.all the good teachers are leaving and the new teachers arent good (minus mr.baramboand mr.bakour, ur amazing). So many improvements but u can find good friends.they also said to donate money so they can build an airdome
but they didn't get permission from the government.oh yeah btw what happened to all that money?
school is meh

btw fortnite is trash
10 July 2019 2:06
Teachers get sooooooo annoying they get u in trouble 24/7 i always see ppl getting in trouble for the dumbest reasons. Some teachers interrogate u to get answer outta u and make u snake ur friends which i find very annoying and cruel and against many things they "teach" us. TOO MANY RULES. HATE THE UNIFORM. THE SCHOOL TAKES SM MONEY OUTTA U IT'S NOT WORTH IT but i will say i'll miss the ppl i grew up with not the school tho been through enough suffering to have a reliable opinion. This my 9th and last year:)
19 June 2019 5:10
In all my other years I always felt that the teachers were biased and that I wouldn't ever miss leaving for high school. But now, in my final year, I realize that this school has a great community and I know for a fact that I will miss everything about it. Thank you so much O. G. S.for being a great school.
17 June 2019 0:17
Nice skool my guys tdh good friends but some rly good teachers although few went away who were pret good but MR. C still there so guys ifyour there he really good teacher. I dare one of u to call him tutu
13 June 2019 22:02
Oh, wow.

*Cough*
Why are almost all the teachers female-
*Cough*
Teachers usually favor female students-
*Cough*
I want a Pretzel-
*Cough*

I want Shaggy to use, not just 10% of his power, but 100% of his power on this school.
24 May 2019 19:12
It's an okay school. This school could improve in many things though. Teachers favour students a lot, and are pretty biased toward girls. They added more classes and more students. And all the good teachers are leaving and students want their old teachers back
26 March 2019 23:41
It’s a great school and all but I’m scared of some of the teachers and the teachers favor students alot
16 March 2019 23:01
@Spain is right, the teachers don't even hide the fact that they favor the females, boys have boys night out which is sitting in a sweaty gym with bouncy castles while the girls have 6 months to practice for girls gala in a fancy banquet hall with a buffet and there own t-shirts advertising it.
05 March 2019 18:33
This school is meh.it used to be good but for me it keeps getting worse each year.i personally used to like it when i was young, but each year more annoying students come and the teachers keep getting worse.and pretty much everybody knows that many teachers are gender biased towards boys.
