Once Upon A Child

I had a fantastic experience at Once Upon A Child @ Scarborough branch today. I purchased baby clothes and accessories, and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality and reasonable prices. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive throughout my visit. I highly recommend this store to anyone in search of baby items. A must-visit for great deals and wonderful service!

Very clean and organized, makes it super easy to shop and find what I need! Employees are great as well!

We used to visit it for mostly toys. Once we sold some stuff too. Customer service is good if u r not satisfied with anything. I got called back for some confusion I had and explained well. So it's a good location ans that's why I come there from even Ajax.

I was called by the owner and he explained the thing the very next day. But have a query. Not sure how to check with owner as staff had no answer neither did they take it back. I am talking about the snake and ladder game which has manufacturing defect but staff said this is what it is. So I just have to keep it in my home just becoz staff might not have checked properly when buying from other seller and I became the final fool.

No worth reselling kids clothing to them, after waiting an hour only $10 for 10 items they accept from 100 items I had. I would rather give to someone in need. Dont waste the time.

Don't bring your items here expecting to get a nice price.it's not about money. But we spent over 2 hours just to get $6.50. We were put aside and had to drive back a long way. When I called. They said we can't give you a price over the phone. It's not possible. We felt our time was wasted. Your beautiful smiling workers told us 20 minutes and that 20 minutes turned into over 2 hours. And your complaining about rent and utilities and workers? That gives you a right to rip people off? Even value village doesn't price their items this high and they take for free. This is a children's store why is there a rainbow ltgbt triangle stickered on the front door window? This is not supposed to be promoted in a children's store. If we knew this experience prior, we would of donated our items and saved the hassle. If I could give a negative integer I would. Very slow customer service and not transparent enough. Don't waste your time here.

A great place to shop! Staff is friendly, helpful, and know their items well. Prices are marked well and they buy back at a fair price. This location is closer to my parents house so I often visit it rather then the Ajax location, where I constantly feel ripped off and ignored.

Love this store and the overall atmosphere for the customer experience! I felt the need to speak up because of some of the uneducated and ignorant reviews, especially from Shahkram Leila. For someone who believes in healthy constructive feedback, this was totally not it. Being unsatisfied about specific things doesn’t equate to harassing staff and making customers who enjoy shopping at OUAC uncomfortable. I question her ability to reason after comparing pricing from multi millionaire companies, to a small business. It’s fairly simple, if you cannot afford something you want, simply don’t buy it. OUAC Scarborough does their best to accommodate reasonable requests like price match, and educate customers who don’t know how this business works. I think it’s very concerning knowing this person is raising a child with such a nasty attitude and a lack of human decency.

I’ve been into this store a couple times and the staff that work here are very nice and do their best to satisfy the needs of every customer. I’ve also looked at prices and compared to most companies, OUAC offers loads of discounts and low priced items that are good quality.

Please keep doing your thing, and love the sticker in front of your store that promotes a gender friendly society as for many LGBTQ2S+ families, this is important that they are represented.

Additionally, The store owner is beyond ignorant and doesn’t seem to have much business or buying experience when it comes to retail. EVIDENTLY buying stuff at higher prices (He told me HIMSELF he buys new products from a third party $2 more expensive than what’s sold in stores! - MIND BOGGLING)
This store will be closed in no time… oh nvm they’re masters at highway robbery, PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THIS STORE!
Item are cheaper at the big businesses! CHECK YOUR PRICES. DO NOT BUY THEAE EXPENSIVE ITEMS.

Once upon a child in AJAX is WAY better. 100% of the stores inventory is from what’s brought in / given to the store!

This location is a blessing during the pandemic I had financial issues and I was able to sell my daughter's clothes for profit and put food on the table. The staff and owners are lovely and extremely professional. OUAC - Scarborough will always hold a special place in my heart ️

Careful though; if you're little one needs a diaper change, you need to go somewhere else. No changing options here, at least for now.

I dropped off at least 8 Nike and adidas kids shoes, and other brand names, and jackets, all my iteams are branded, I feel like I didn’t get the fair amount, most shoes were almost new, next time I will try diffrent branch at Markham, one employee told me cloths were from sheans I don’t shop on china sites, most of them are gap, Zara, Nike, adidas, roots, Ecco, please train your employees product knowledge

I've been to a lot of the OUAC in the GTA and this one is one of the best. Not too crowded and very well organized. Good job guys!

We've been to a few OUAC locations, and the service at the Scarborough one is by far the best. Staff is energetic, always greet you when you come in, have a great selection of discount clothes, toys and books, and always give a rate on any items sold. Would definitely recommend any parent looking to sell or buy to swing by here first.

Prices have gone up, $18 for a used to toddler size Roots sweater is excessive and last time I got T5 pjs 4 for 10, but not now. Might have to try a different location next time.

Great place. You can take you unwanted children clothes, toys and depends on condition get some cash or you can simply donate them.

Once Upon A Child is a great store to offload unwanted kids clothing and toys. Although they give you less than half of what they would sell it at, its still decent value considering alot would end up going to your local thrift shop. They do not take any items if missing parts or has crayon/marker on it which we found quite odd as many items they have in the store are broken or discolored. Nonetheless we wouldn't mind visiting them again to get some items that may be overpriced elsewhere.

Staff are always super friendly and helpful. Everything is easy to find and the store is as tidy as can be. Amazing store and amazing staff! Always love to stop by! Fun atmosphere:)

Staff is very friendly, I went in for the new moms club promo of the month, spend $10 get a free sleeper. Unfortunately the cashier forgot to apply the promo, even though I entered my number to show I was a member. I will try to go back and see if I can get a refund or another sleeper in place for the promo.

I was contacted by phone right after writing this review, and they applied the promo and a bonus for next time I am shopping in the store, no minimum purchase necessary. Excellent customer service! Thank you for Naira!

I had a great time this visit. The store was clean and extremely organized. Friendly staff, they always greet me upon arrival. I brought in some baby equipment and that process was smooth. This location does a live stream everyday, (subscribe via Facebook) what a great show! The staff here worked well together and I look forward to visiting again! There is lots in stock, I even found a Princess dress and slippers I had been looking for. Great job Scarborough team, see you again soon!

I had ordered some items online, and was processed quickly! The same day actually. Some of my items they could not find, so they called me and asked if they can chose an alternative option. Staff is very polite and professional. Thank you for making this shopping experience a fantastic one during these times.

They have a huge collection of baby clothes and accessories. I love shopping here, I always get something cute for my baby. Only issue is that they are very picky of the clothes they buy when you’re trying to sell to them. But then again they will still speak to you so sweetly and tell you why they can’t buy certain stuff.

Really great value for gently used children's goods. A good alternative to other thrift stores as items are generally newer and better quality. Especially great when you use coupon codes.

I have 3 children and this store has saved my wallet! They offer gently used clothing for SO much cheaper than retail stores. Honestly pants for 5$? YES! They also offered me double the amount in store credit for my 3t-8t sizes. Amazing prices and amazing staff, There were super helpful and easy to talk to.

This location and the people who work here are extremly rude. They seem to have so much attitude just cuz we come to sell our gently used clothes doesn't mean we need to be treated any differently at the end of the day if not for parents like us this place would be non-existant. They want all clothes to be folded when there are some that can't be folded down. I think the owners should review there staff again and hire people who ate willing to work. Furthermore you can better price for your baby clothes at other locations than here. I have gave 30+ formal dresses and got less than $30 back. If I can give no stars I would. Try another location.

My favourite childrens store! The owners and staff are the friendliest people around, their selection, quality, and prices are really great, and they have discounts and deals very often- sign up for their mailing or text message list or follow them on instagram to see when they have sales! Selling to them is also a very easy process and you usually don't need to call ahead of time. If you like to support family owned businesses and reduce your environmental footprint by purchasing things second hand, this is the store for you!
