These Indian workers need some PR training to work in Canada, they have no sense of customer service, I won't say they are rude, but more like ignorant and don't care to attend for customers, this is Canada, let's not turn into a ghetto.
No service. Stood at the Popeyes counter for five mins, no one came. Burger King appeared empty and Tim’s had nothing but donuts. Waste of time since new management took over.
Once again another onroute devoid of all picnic tables. Restricting travellers to either sit on the ground, in their car or inside. It's a really unfortunate trend ive seen at every onroute I've visited this year. I use to sit at a picnic table, let my dog enjoy the grass as I enjoyed some prepacked cooler food. Clearly onroute has decided that rest stop no longer includes enjoying a moment with your pets, picnics with your family and friends or enjoying anything other than sitting in a large fast food restaurant.
Literally the only available outdoor seating is at the concrete surrounding Starbucks or directly in front of the main building for food. Really sad.
I was traveling to Ottawa from Toronto and made a halt at Odessa onroute to have some food. I found Burger King there and ordered veggie burger with cheese. I must say it was one of the worst ever veggie burger I have had. Attitude of the people working there is like doing it for the sake of doing and not with any interest. The veggie burger was so pathetic that it spoiled my entire 2 hours travel to Ottawa. No taste at all. No salt in the patty. I ordered the burger with cheese and repeated twice while placing an order yet they did not put cheese in the burger but charged money for it. 25$ not worth spending. The guy at the cashier's till was struggling to understand English. Very slow and pathetic service with equally pathetic veggie burger. I don't recommend anyone to eat veggie burger from this burger king at Odessa onroute.
Giving three starts to Tim hortons only, very long Waite, short stuff, doesn’t worth your 30 to 45 mins of time to stand on line and the prices are very high too. Better to go off-road exits to other Tim hortons.
Was asked to provide proof of having severe asthma so I could go in to get food without a mask, which is contrary to the law, and of course staff will believe you're faking it and sneer, was planning on getting food as the flying j kicked me out and I'd been hungry since the night before, but I was rushed out with just a coffee, but I suppose I should be thankful I still have my life, unlike that guy from haliburton.
In todays world i understand the need for masks, what I dont understand is the lack of signs stating that you MUST have a mask to enter especially when walking from the commercial truck lot to the 1 entrance.
Disgusting unhygienic washroom. Cleaning those would do more to stop the spread of covid than anything else. When there is pee and bloody tissues on the stall floor, and the entire washroom floor is soaking wet by the sinks, there’s a major problem
I can't get over how much better these rest stops are then when I was a kid when you're looking for a clean toilet and the truck stops are the ones that you think about are the best ones to use I give these cleaning staff the highest recommendation and the respect for some of the stuff they have to deal with be sure to thank them because they deserve it
Worst Tim hortons ever. The staff are rude and the service is slow. As soon as i was done putting my order in, which they got wrong. Only pay attention to each while speaking some foreign language.
We will NEVER stop here again. The Tim Hortons here is a rip-off! After standing in a ridiculously long line, we ordered a medium coffee and were over-charged! We asked the girl to double check, but she refused and said the price was correct! We had just been out of the country, so we figured that prices had gone up. What we didn't know was that they hadn't! So not only are they charging MORE, they REFUSE to honour the loyalty cards, so in my books that is a DOUBLE rip-off! Next time we will exit off the highway, and save time and money!
This onroute spot is good and everything except the sensitive water taps some of those sensors were not working good beside the sensitive air blowers working for three seconds then stopped.however, the bathrooms were not in a good shape.
Recommendations: Replace the worn sensors of sensitive water taps. Fix those air blowers. Take care of cleaning the bathrooms. Regards,
The food area of this rest stop was dirty. Standing in line for Tim’s I watch a swarm of flies crawling all over the sign. When I got up to the counter the food prep area was a total disaster with food scraps and didn’t look like it had been wiped all day! Management you need to shake up this place - the service was slow and there seemed to be a lot of people working at all the wrong tasks!
I took a break from sitting (while driving) to hang out at this place which features tons of chairs. Not different sizes and styles mind you, just regular ol' seats. It would be a great location for a a jogging track, a VR arcade, a pool (or pool table), minigolf and a climbing wall. Stretch those muscles ya lazy bums, it's good for circulation.
Don't go to the Pizza Pizza here. They said it would take 5-10 minutes, ended up waiting about 30. Advertised a cheaper price than given, and then gave us the wrong pizza. Don't waste your time.
The place was clean, and the service was prompt. The people working inside were very kind and courteous. I was even asked for a paper towel for my sub (excuse. It's being devoured by hungry little kids)
The gas was a fair price if a tad expensive, however that's more to do with govt than local pricing. Was sorely needed as the children required yet another stop. These bladders are so teeny!
Wife and I are in good spirits and the vehicles are running in good condition.
Well, to be honest I went there in the late night maybe dawn. I wanted to have breakfast but Tim Hortons did not have any food in it. These stops on the highways give travellers a rest to answer the call of nature and have some food and get rid of the sleep. So will the driver to reach home safely.
It was ok, I stopped for something to eat just a sandwich so I could eat and drive it was a bit expensive, I also used the washroom, it wasn't the cleanest but I have seen worse especially at these busy onroutes with people in and out all day.
Restrooms are very clean. Need better options than Tim Hortons for coffee. The Breakfast sandwich ordered had bacon that was not even cooked. Very disappointing
Honestly we need some cultural food options at these ONroutes. The standard franchises just get so annoying if you travel frequently. However, bathrooms are clean. There is a small convenience store. Coffee and fast food. Enough tables and some massage chairs. Good rest spot.
Has a wheel chair accessibility bathroom, minimal freshener for those with chemical sensitivities. However the main entrance when u walk in between the outer and inner door contains a spray based freshener.sprays right on you. Awful reaction, so much for the AODA being in effect. Onroute is NOT accessibility friendly.
Onroute Odessa near Kingston is a strategically useful pit stop between Ottawa and Toronto. Like all concession-based highway stops worldwide, this generic format is something drivers are used to however the franchises available for food and the convenience store provide sufficient diversion for drivers with destinations on their mind. Overall, one of the better managed pit stops for highway driving.
The place is kept clean and it has dedicated employees. It gets really busy at peak times which means longer wait times around 1pm and 6pm. The third restaurant (Pizza Pizza) is seasonal and is closed for the winter months. Prices are horrible as they jack up the price of everything for "highway convinance".
