ONroute Port Hope

Had not eaten all day so desperate enough to stop at one of these places. Only way to order is on a touchscreen. Waited behind some idiots for 20 minutes. Then cold tasteless burger and fries. Never effing again.

I'd avoid it if possible. Been here a couple time and each time the lines are long, service is slow and employees are casual and lack the sense of urgency you want to see when there are 50 people waiting for orders. I watched 4 people go up and have to ask about their order because it was 30+ minutes since they ordered. Myself being one of them. A simple stop at Tim's took me over an hour.

As usual, Starbucks at Port Hope on route is closed at 7: 20 am while everything around it is open. Tim Hortons is going full swing as one would expect from a coffee place. SB is closed as young woman at cash waits for her co-worker to arrive. Happens a lot!

This is a great spot for everything you'll need. It was packed when we stopped, but the service was very quick.

On a 4hr driving mission. The car was as thirsty as I was, and the Burger King Whoppers weren't gonna eat 'emselves.

If you've been to *any* other ONroute, you know the drill; gas, washrooms, food, snacks, coffee, news/convenience, seats and dining areas.

It's got multiple fast-food restaurants if you're in need of a range of.cuisines. And also has digital kiosks allowing you to order from the restaurants without lining up for their cashier.

If you *haven't* been to an ONroute; they're simply a center with everything you need on a road-trip, right on the way to where you're going. It's literally in the title.

This one also has 'Hope' in the title, but that depends on where you're heading.

Bathrooms are disgusting.
They are trying to force people to use the selfserve machines saying there debit/credit card machine isnt working. They are lieing. They work they were told by corporate to not use them. If you argue they will use it but otherwise they want you to take someones job away. They want us to do the work so they dont have to paysoneone to do it. This has happened at both popeys and burger king and rhey both used the debit machine when confronted.

This is wrong we are not a comunist country lets not let them make it this way.

Utter disaster. NONE Of the order/pay kiosks work for the food concessions. Despite being told by several customers the staff seem oblivious and unable to do anything or call anyone who could do something to remedy the problem. Popeyes refused to take orders at the counter despite being shown that the order kiosk was not working and Burger King would take an over the counter order but only if you paid cash. No explanation. Debit was working in the Market which was by now overrun with patrons who could not use the other food outlets. A vet poor showing overall. Don’t stop drive another 60km and hope the next one is better.

If you need to stretch your toes and grab some grub to garnish, then the Port Hope ONroute is for you. There are a couple of coffee shops, fast food places and a large public washroom to relieve yourself of the toe tapping, tinkle twisting long drives on the highway. Parking is plenty, however it is busy so be careful out there.

Ordered at burger king and paid to get refunded less thab 1 minute after because employee doesnt want to prep chicken sandwich
Last week they charged me twice the meal arguing that her interac was not working

Tim hortons seriously need some new people to work so many lazy a$$ work here…Big lines in the morning they don’t care if its mobile order or regular order they care only for drive thru… Coffee i order was regular and it taste like it was made a day before and given to me and farmer’s wrap was cold not grilled properly… Zero star for service and management

Very slow. It was a about half an hour on line (just 7 customers) to get coffee at Tim Hortons. Burger King and popeys were the same. Just one star for clean environment.

Tim Horton’s at this location is a JOKE! Got in line at 0600 (ish) stood for 15 minutes and didn’t move an inch. 2 people working with the drive of sloths.

My son spilled his hot chocolate and the girl working at Starbucks was very kind to him. She gave him a new one and helped clean it up. Such a nice person. Great onroute!

It's an ONRoute, nothing spectacular, but definitely a nice saving grace on your drive. I love how clean and streamlined they all are, and this one is no exception. Good range of merchants and I enjoy that they have a good marketplace where you can buy emergency food supplies

Purposely came here because it was pet friendly online. Walked inside with my dog and got kicked out because “dogs are not allowed”. False advertising!

This place is a joke!
The parking is insane, ppl parking all over the road and doing whatever they want.
It took 45 min to get my order
The bathrooms are filthy, wet, crowded, out of soap and toilet paper.

Shockigly poor experience! Visited this location on Sept 28 around 2: 30 PM. It's one thing to have a bad experience due to lack of organization or training. It's another thing entirely when it's just a bad attitude (s). The girl that took my money didn't give me my change and at best sneered at me and the barista made one of my two drinks and walked away on her break. No one made eye contact and the girl who was washing the floor came to finish my order. The guy behind me got served before I got the rest of my order.

Amazing ONtoute stop! Stopped in on the way home from a Montreal road trip and it was a pretty decent selection of road food. It was fairly busy and yet we didn’t have to wait longer than 10 mins for our food. Clean location with easy access to the things you need while on the road for long periods of time.

My wife and I got some Popeyes there on July 8th 2021 and the chicken looked and tasted like KFC.if I wanted KFC I would have gone to KFC.very disappointed in the service.

Samantha from sweet treats was so nice such an amazing thing to see such great customer service it put a smile on my face will definitely be coming back!

One of the biggest ONroute on 401 east.

There are many varieties of stores. One of the rare travel plazas that has Tim Hortons and Starbucks in the same location, and both of them have long customer queue.

Usually crowded all week long but the plenty of parking spaces.

The Staff are so welcoming and nice.

The washrooms are very clean.

You’ve been to one you’ve been to them all! I never know the difference sometimes! The layout is nearly identical. I’ve never had issues with any ONroute service centre. Has everything you need!

Clean washrooms, few options, not the burger king, stay away from that one, good place to stretch the legs when traveling on 401

@ Starbucks - The Most stupid staff. They charged me almost 7$ for this! Specifically asked for no whip cream & no caramel driz, but they did add it and then they took it of & tase like nothing!

I have to this location many many time, always my 1st.stop and break while travelling on 401 east bound.
During Covid19 situation always managing all the protocols accordingly.
Recently with breakthrough on restrictions you can feels the excitement and more summer traffic on these spots.
Well managed and excellent services.
Highly recommended to stop anf enjoy your short break.

This will sound melodramatic but I think this ONroute saved my life. Through an odd series of events we ended up driving down the motorway in an RV which was far larger than expected. Despite being summer and lovely for the rest of the holiday there was a crazy storm, I’d been driving for 7 hours and wasn’t sure we’d get much further, we saw the sign for the ONroute I hoped to stop for an hour and catch my breath. We pulled into the car park and the RV in front of us and clearly set up for the night - sides extended and big tv on. At that we did the same. Maybe not as picturesque as sandbanks but better than causing a pileup. The staff were lovely and professional. I will remember fondly for the rest of my life

Super clean social distance in place very friendly safe and there hand sanitizer is amazing leaves your hands super soft I wanna no what it's called

Went to your new Popeyes location let's just say I am less than impressed. Ordered red beans and rice with a 5-piece spicy tenders the beans hadn't been rehydrated and there was no rice in the bowl.

Quick convenient place to stop for a bathroom break, or a snack or just to have a rest from a long drive.

Nice place and clean but it is ridiculous that restaurants are closing so early at 630 and 7pm on a weekday. When uts a main rest stop on a major highway. Understandable if closing at like 830 9 but to close during a rush time and dinner time. When its a main highway rest stop and travelers and truckers rely on them. Is crazy and a sad way to be ran.

Clean from inside and the bathroom was clean as well. Gas station is right beside it and there’s a merch/gift shop as well if you’re about that. The timmies there had chocolate danishes which was very surprising because tims stopped selling it in Toronto which sucks.

En route as always is about convinced while traveling. Eat, coffee, gas, restroom back on the road safely

Has all things expected at a rest stop. Can grab a snack or use the rest room. Bathrooms are clean.

Circle k attached to the gas station for all the convience store needs.

Just like any other ONRoute.food, coffee, gas, etc. Washrooms need better cleaning, but that is just like any other highway stop. It's a means to an end, we need them to get to where we are going.

Great place to stop for a break to fuel up both your vehicle and stomach. Very clean with friendly staff, services from cibc, extreme pita, Starbucks, burger King and timmies are available. Social distancing measures in effect.

On était en plein hivers au mois de février, soit le mois des dépressions. En quittant le On Route ma voiture ne voulait plus démarrer! J'ai passé 3 heures a essayer de me dépanner en vain. Dés que j'ai informé l personnel de ma situation, a commencer par la femme de ménage, je me croyais vraiment au Paradis. J'ai reçu un traitement exceptionnel. WOOOOOOw ils ont informé le manager qui a mis a notre disposition tout le monde, tous les services que vous pourriez imaginer.a apporté une valeur de 50 $ de jouets aux enfants.nous a commandé le diner même si on insistait qu'on avait nos cartes débits et crédits. Je m'arrêterais a vie a Port Hope On Route. Guys, Merci infiniment Jamais nous n'oublierons ce traitement exceptionnel. Cette belle expérience. Quelqu'un de mon entourage est venu me récupérer moi et mes enfants qui étions a 300Km de chez moi.ils m'ont gardé la voiture au Parking 48heurs le temps que j'avais trouvé du remorquage. Bref, Merciiiiiiii Port Hope. Vous avez toutes ma gratitudes pour avoir tourné mon cauchemar en un rêve si beau! Signé un simple immigré qui adore le canada et qui vit au Quebec. Les québécois nous auraient crissé dehors en plein hivers!

Pandemic response is to make everyone use the same door. Water fountains closed so you have to interact with people to get water Brain-dead 'pandemic response'. But you can go in a toilet vs the woods.

I am giving this negative review only to the Burger King.had been a while since I had one and I can confirm it is my least favourite fast food chain.

A good stopover when you're travelling. Most of the ONroute have similar stores. Most of the people are coming to Port Hope ONroute when they are going out of Toronto. We went there around 2am and the only store that is open is Tim Hortons. Still great because we just need some coffee and a little break before going again for a ride. The washroom/comfort room is clean and there's actually two of them. There's a gasoline station just outside of the plaza.

The burger King was disgusting the dirt and dust was falling off the cash register screen when I was putting my order in. If that's the case I can just imagine how the back room is

Very busy place so expect at least twenty minutes if your vehicle looking for coffee or fast food. There is also a picnic area off the back right side of the property, behind the truck parking. However, the outdoor building with restrooms is closed and barred to keep people out.

This place is a tourist trap. It has a lot of different stores and utilities, but it is outrageously expensive, and overcrowded. You'd be better to get off the highway in Port Hope, where there are all the same amenities at normal prices.

This is one of the better ONroutes I've been to. It has a Burger King. And there hasn't been a body found in the dumpster out back in ages.

Great spot to stop if you're passing through during the day. Later in the evening everything is closed except the Tim Hortons.

Nice little rest stop with Timmies and Burger King. The washrooms were quite impressive without getting into too much detail!

Slowest service ever at Tim Horton's. Hour to get served as only 2 of? 5 tills working despite number of staff available.

These places are a waste of money. If the restaurants and vendors are going to have the benefit of a captive clientele, they should be forced to stay open 24 hours. That way might travelers such as truck drivers could get the proper break they need. Shame on the Government of Ontatio for allowing what we have now.

This is got to be the busiest ONroute in Ontario and also the fanciest? So many people waiting for their Starbucks. We only stop briefly to use the restroom and didn't want to waste our time waiting in line for refreshments.
