Currently here. Made an appointment for 1: 30 PM and at 1: 54, I’m still in the waiting room. Was told by reception 10 minutes ago that I’d be seen soon, then my boyfriend got annoyed and went to ask and was told that the tech is currently in with a patient. Why have people make appointments if they aren’t going to be seen at that time? I had to drink a lot of water for this appointment and my bladder is about to explode. Would not recommend. Oh yea, I’m the only one in the waiting room.

Edit. I went in at 1: 58 so 28 minutes after my appointment time. Why allow appointments if they aren’t going to abide by them?

Edit #2: the manager, I think, called me after reading my review and asked what happened. I told her that I waited 28 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be seen which is unacceptable. She apologized and said she was going to speak to the women working that day. Not sure if that’ll make a difference but we’ll see.

I am editing my review and I am glad that after this review the clinic did not waste time to get back to me and answer my inquiry regarding the link that I am asking. Thank you much to Guneet for making an effort to communicate.

My first time in this clinic marks a very good impression to me and they are nice that is why I comeback but my 2nd time is not so good experience for me when I ask if there is a link or if I could have a cd in case I need, the receptionist is nice it is just she has no idea and said she will ask the technologist maybe she is new and know nothing about it then I tried asking the technologist though she is nice also and fast in doing the procedure the way she answered me to ask the reception as it is not her job is a bit off I know it is not her job but she can say it on a nice way and when I go back to the reception she said she will ask the tech then cameback and said she thinks no and just go to my doctor can my doctor give me a cd or link of the procedure if I need it? My question was not answered properly.

The lady who did my xray was extremely rude and unprofessional. Her instructions and guidance was nonexistant than would speak in a degrading tone when i wouldnt understand. Its not that hard to be kind and respectful!

I have mixed feelings about this centre. When I walked into this small centre, there was a sign about having to wear face masks, which was good, but one receptionist was not wearing one! My ultrasound appointment started about 25 minutes late, and the technician Devika was abrupt, bordering on rude, to me. She did not crack a smile, and was difficult to understand. Technically she could be fine, but she definitely lacked compassion while doing the procedure. On the other hand, Sheetal, who did my Mammogram, was wonderful. She was friendly, gentle, and compassionate. That evening I got a phone call from that centre asking me if I had done my ultrasound that morning. I replied yes, but why do you ask, and she hung up on the spot!: 0 That does not give me much confidence in this centre's organiztional skills.

The place was clean and service was quick. They were able to accommodate seeing me same day when I called in, which was great. The front desk, Merrat and her coworker who i unfortunately didn’t get her name we’re very helpful. The technician staff were professional. I would recommend!

Not sure how this place ended up getting such low ratings. I went there on Saturday morning to get an x-ray done for my back. Overall it was quick including the check-in process and the gentleman who did my x-ray for me was friendly and nice! Don't forget to bring the health card and the referral letter from your doctor.

Can I suggest that you change the tv with the rap music and photos of young people partying and dancing. Not relaxing at all. Are their patients teenagers looking for a good time? How about a one of those channels with soft music and nature scenes? This would make it seem more professional and comfortable and fitting for such a good place.

Not a professional environment at all. The waiting room is very congested, small, and provides zero patient confidentiality with medical records. The you lady behind the counter did her best in such an environment, but said “oh I see you have breast implants”. Everyone in the waiting room heard. She wasn’t talking loud. It’s just that there’s no privacy or discretion there at all. Patients are entitled to privacy with their medical records, and medical facilities have a legal obligation to provide such privacy. Then the young lady at the counter called out across the waiting room and asked one lady when she had her last Covid shot. The lady did not want to respond back with an answer, divulging her medical info to other people in the waiting room, but she had no choice. There’s two rows of seats, if someone is sitting in the second row. And their name is called, 3-4 other people have to get up from their seats and move to ket that one person out. And they can’t even separate the chairs because the room is so tiny there’s no space. Even the room where the breast exam is conducted is so tiny and full of stuff, looks so unprofessional. Two people cannot manoeuvre about in there. I think there should be a healthy and safety inspection done. I suspect these very tiny rooms and spaces go against the fire code or building code.

On September 19th at 9am I called to enquire about an ultrasound and x-ray requisition from my doctor.

The receptionist; a monotone, younger sounding female very unenthusiastically answered the phone with a tired, memorized "greeting". It was immediately obvious she did not want to be working on a Saturday morning.

She made it known when her priority became telling me the location does not do ultrasound appointments (contrary to the truth) rather than focusing on helping me book two appointments with their clinic. This phone call resulted in a very unpleasant interaction with someone representing Carmit Dignostic Imaging - full of attitude and unhelpful.

Shortly after, I called a different clinic with a receptionist who was extremely pleasant, respectful, professional and accommodating to their patients needs. She invited me in same day, was able to answer my questions and I got both of my doctor referrals done within an hour (excellence health care ltd for those wondering).

My review is strictly based on my experience with the receptionist at Carmit Dignostic Imaging. Through my experience; the receptionist is a strong representation of the clinic as they are the first face and voice we see or hear. I believe with a strong need for jobs in canada, specifically in Toronto.this female would be better suited elsewhere, perhaps behind the scenes rather than the first impression patients get when considering Carmit Dignostic Imaging.

Horrible over the phone etiquette leaving patients with unanswered questions and a bad taste in their mouth.

Look elsewhere if you can!

I had an X-ray very recently. Carmit posts an announcement on its website claiming that "It is mandatory for our staff to ask travel history and symptoms related to COVID 19, please answer these questions truthfully". Nobody asked me anything of that kind. No screening, no questions. Carmit claims its workers wear masks. Nobody wore any masks. Carmit claims their technical equipment is sanitized after each patient but is it?

Had and xray and US done recently and the service was excellent.
Friendly staff, clean facilities and quick service.
My doctor got my results within 2 days which is way faster than other places I've been.
I was a little nervous due to the current Covid pandemic, but the staff followed all the protocols.
Would highly recommend Carmit.

Both of my visits to Carmit Diagnostic Imaging were rather unpleasant.

I had called prior to booking my first visit and took care of some administrative things over the phone with the receptionist, and when I went for my visit, it appeared that none of the information that was relayed had made it into the system. And some of the information she told me over the phone had been incorrect. I ended up spending another 20 minutes relaying everything that had already been communicated. To make matters worse, the ultrasound I had received was done by a junior technician who was not able to tell me whether my particular health concern was still there because she wasn't trained enough to distinguish the tissue problem that had been identified at another clinic.

The second time around I had a 20-week pregnancy ultrasound to which I brought my husband (I had done ultrasounds, with him present, in the past with a previous pregnancy without any issue) and I was told rather rudely that he cannot take part in it. He was only allowed to enter the last few minutes. He had taken a day off work to be there with me and so I expressed my dissatisfaction and explained the situation. The argument I was given at first was that there was not enough space in the room for another individual. The manager stepped in and rudely claimed that spouses are not allowed to participate in such USG tests (which contradicts my own experience, along with the past experience of so many of my friends). Then I heard that his presence would be a distraction and would prevent the technician from being able to concentrate. An alarm bell went on right then (I remembered the technician from my previous visit) and I asked whether the person examining me (it was the 20-week exam after all, which is one of the most important exams during pregnancy) had enough experience to perform this test and she reassured me that she had lots. Because the technician did not look very young, I assumed she wasn't lying. In the room it became quickly apparent that she was not well-versed with the imaging machine. She had to have another (slightly more experienced, but not by much) technician guide her throughout a portion of the exam. And the technician that was performing my test had to step out a few times to ask questions on how to use certain functions. It was obvious to me that she didn't want my husband there because she was in fact lacking the experience and self-confidence to perform the scan alone (without the other technician's assistance - who surprise! Surprise! Managed to fit into the room!). And I forgot to mention another admin issue: my appointment was scheduled for 3: 20 pm and around 10 am I was called to ask whether I could make it for 2 pm. Because my husband and I were waiting for a plumber to come that morning, I said that I probably couldn't because the plumber was scheduled for 11: 30 am and that I wasn't sure if he would a) arrive on time and b) need a lot of time to fix our plumbing issue. I was called again within the hour and told that they would have to reschedule because no technician was available at 3: 20! We were very lucky that the plumber arrived on time and managed to fix our sink, and we made it for 2: 00 pm. Despite arriving on time, we still had to wait in the waiting room for 15 minutes!

So in short: rude communication, inexperienced staff, disorganized, last-minute changes and cancellations will probably happen to you, and you will never start your appointment on time - even if there is no one in the waiting room with you.

The worst service ever!

I had an emergency and needed to know if I could catch a flight to go for a funeral in Brazil. My midwife requested an placenta location ultrasound and we needed to know the results by the end of the day so I could buy the ticket. First of all, the receptionist called me and asked me to come early. My appointment was at 3: 10pm, I arrived at 2: 30pm and my exam didn’t start until 4pm! I had to wait with A FULL BLADDER all that time! Secondly, the technician that did my exam was smelling so bad that I almost throw up, and this person refused to tell me if my placenta was covering my cervix (ok. I get that they are not allowed to tell results to patients, but couldn’t she at least call my midwife and tell her instead? !?) To top all of this mess, when I asked the receptionist to please put my exam as a priority she ignored my request, saying that the laboratory was closing at 5pm and it was 4: 30pm! And they would send the results to my midwife next day by the afternoon! But wait.do you think I got the results by that time!? Off course not! I got the results two days later! 2 days! At that point going for my grandma’s funeral was pointless.

If you are planning on having your exames done by this laboratory, do a favor to yourself and give a call to TRUE NORTH IMAGING, much better service and appreciation for their patients.

Absolute a Mess.my xrays never went to my family doctor, until I call Carmit.and then after I called they send it over to wrong doctor.
