Orea is not making money any more by providing real estate courses that’s why this corrupt organization decided to force real estate agents to pay for some useless extra health insurance coverage, they are mostly bunch of lazy people who see their DO NOTHING job is in jeopardy that’s why they decided to put their hands in realtors pockets and take some money, I can’t believe this 3rd world style fraud could be done in Canada,

Have questioned the necessity of this association since the task of licensing education was removed from their platform. Now find them making unilateral decisions, resulting in many losing the health coverage they need, whilst increasing fees more than five fold. It's one thing to pay a nominal amount for an organization that does little in my interest, compared to a substantial increase that was made behind their members' backs into a brand new sector of care that a high volume of members don't want. Now, I'm questioning the ethics and real meaning behind this organization, and am very concerned with the amount and manor in which they are inflicting their control in my personal affairs that have nothing to do with trading real estate!

I was attending many OREA webinars and benefiting from them and liked the association overall. So disappointed with the mandatory health benefit and the way they call it democratic mandate. This benefit needs to be optional as we are not employees.

They called my brokerage to call them back, I have waited more than one hour on the phone and still waiting just to return your phone call … why don’t ask my brokerage to get my direct number to call me?

Horrible service. Waited over 1 1/2 hours, so that at the end the representative Faith could tell me that I have to wait another 30 minutes before I could book my exam online and that she could not book it for me over the phone. Absolutely ridiculous.

What kind of organization is this as even their phone operator does not respond and also can not leave voice mail because it is full. Pls also be aware of OREA forms they are exclusively prepared to protect agents, as such if u are asked to sign any from that has OREA logo or prepared by them, read carefully, even better not sign.

We Ontarians work hard and in many cases have duplicated our work load due to Covid 19. Orea has done the opposite: They have used a great excuse to minimize the service and if there was a work load it has apparently disappeared. Orea Leads by Example while keeping the income and privileges. Pathetic!

On the OREA website it says they have (FINALLY) figured out online exams and they will be held as of July 4th, First available booking is August 19th at 2AM. Good job OREA, it took you 3 months to figure out online proctoring and you still managed to screw it up somehow

All Ontario colleges and universities have setup proper online courses and testing. Even elementary schools have set it up properly months in advance. Why do I have to wait another month and a half to write my online exam with limited availability. It doesn't make any sense. This is very frustrating.

I'm surprised they're allowed to call themselves a "college", it brings a bad name to proper institutions that provide professional administrative services and education. The courses are filled with fluff and you'll be gauged with nonsense fees when it comes to rescheduling exams. I'm so pleased that this is all moving to Humber College, I hope they do a better job of managing this process. If I could give no stars I would.

What a joke. They still have not come up with a way to write exams for their students but refuse to extend the november deadline.i'm not sure how that makes any sense. You guys are going to owe a lot of people their money back.

Unfortunately Orea has the worst customer service. Talking to secretaries is like talking to robots. Even if the problem is on them, they are not willing to help, and they give you attitude on top of that. For a provincial association it is highly unprofessional, and lacks proper service to students and members. Unprofessional staff (especially donmills front desk staff and secretaries).

I just call this place and the person that answer the phone was super rude, unprofessional, and she did not give me the information i need.she keep telling me to call RECO, i asked for RECOS num, and she said i can find it online, what is wrong with this people? How can they call themselves professionals?

I had bad experiences as well my exam was at 1 PM got there 1230 and found out it's at 6: 00 PM instead. Thank God my name was there at 630 lady in front of me had email confirmation and they said ur name is not with us you will have to come back

The worst customer experience here. Like everyone else says here, the phone line takes forever to be picked up and answers given to students are just a line from a manual book. When you go to the OREA, the front desk staffs are plainly bored, neither have nor shows any interest of doing their job. Be aware that there is no such thing as an exception or a refund here, which makes no sense while other federal and municipal licensing institutions do. I understand that OREA will be closing in a bit but while it's still operating with the doors open, they should fulfill all their duties, especially the services people PAY for. SHAME.
