Bill is a liar with a disgusting attitude. Hope he loses his clients because he does not know how to run a business with overcharging his customers and making fake cat weight scale receipts. Extremely disrespectful!

DO NOT USE THIS CROOKED COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVING! The manager Bill is extremely unprofessional and ghetto! Several items from our move were damaged and BILL made NO attempt to reimburse us. And as for the movers, they are a bunch of sloppy workers. Not sure how this shady company is still in business. Our whole house reeked of weed from all the movers! Absolute waste of money!

We, unfortunately, used OVL for a move in January 2023, from Ontario to Alberta. On the day of the move, 2 cube trucks were sent for pick up. (I expected a transport as discussed with Bill (Rambhagan). Everything was loaded and packed securely on the two cube trucks. We felt comfortable after the loading, and struck out for Alberta to await our house hold goods to arrive on the two cube trucks in transit. After arriving in our new home in Alberta, we contacted Bill (Rambhagan) to find out our where our items were, as they exceeded the date promised. Finally received a load late one evening, however, it wasn't one of the trucks loaded out of Ontario. Found out they off loaded in Toronto, reloaded, and then shipped across the country. Then, the load was off loaded again in Calgary. We eventually received some of our items on three different trucks on different days over a period of several days. Upon arrival for each load, the conversation from the driver, began, "sorry, there was some damage. "We are still waiting for our damage claim and missing items! All messages unanswered by Bill (Rambhagan). I also requested weigh scale tickets, as I'm certain they added weight in OVL's favour. Reason for this claim is they never supplied the so-called weigh scale tickets. Please also note, they have a BBB rating of "F", which I noticed after the scam. Anyone thinking of using OVL, you would be well advised to use a legitimate company with credentials. You will save financially, and emotionally. OVL might be fine at moving short distance small moves, however, their long distance moving is brutal. Unprofessional, and unscrupulous. AVOID IF YOU CAN. The manager Bill is very dishonest and unprofessional. Expect poor communication throughout. A summary:

May 25th (Day 0) - Belongings picked up from Winnipeg. I was very happy they were able to do the move on short notice. I paid a $750 deposit a few days prior. There were communication issues with Bill from the start but the movers showed up and were very nice. I was informed it would take 7-21 days for my belongings to get to Calgary. Great.

I receive no communication for the next 4 weeks but I try to take it all in stride and assume there may be some reasonable delays.

June 20 (Day 26) - We are past the promised delivery date. It takes me all day to get a hold of Bill. I’m starting to get the impression he is avoiding me. He finally contacts me at the end of the day and states he had some mechanical issues but my belongings should arrive by Thursday June 23, latest June 26. I express some frustration but Bill assures me my belongings will come.

I receive no further communication for the next week.

June 27 (Day 33) - I attempt to call Bill all day but he continues to dodge my calls and tell me he is in meetings. I try to contact GetMovers (the primary company) but they are no help. They assure me he will get back to me by the end of the day. I get a text at the end of the day from Bill stating he’ll have an answer for me the following morning.

I receive no further communication.

June 28 (Day 34) - I wait until the afternoon to call Bill. He is talking in circles and nothing makes sense. He then informs me my belongings are still in Winnipeg. The reason why: His “guy picked up the wrong shipping container and now he’s in Vancouver”. He is incredibly flippant and makes statements like “well, your stuff is only 12 hours away”. He can’t explain how the “mechanical issue” he described last week fits into any of this. He then promises me my belongings will arrive by the end of the week but can’t tell me how he is going to make that happen. I ask him to let me know when my belongings leave Winnipeg.

UPDATE: I received my things on day 43. My mattress was carried on the outside of the truck (it was raining!). My belongings were jammed in the back (the driver had to use a crowbar to pry open the door). So many items were damaged. Please see photos attached.

I recently had the pleasure of utilizing the services of Van Lines for shipping my belongings across country from Ontario to Alberta. I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the initial inquiry to the final delivery, every aspect of the process was handled with utmost professionalism, care, and efficiency. They were super flexible with my me, working to plan around my schedule and were patient with me answering and addressing any questions and or concerns I had.

The logistics of the move were flawlessly executed. Their team loaded and unloaded everything with care and ensured that all of my contents reached their destination without a scratch!

Throughout the journey, I was kept informed about the progress of the shipment, the estimated arrival time, and everything was delivered on time.

And above all, their pricing was affordable and fair with 0 hidden fees. Of all the other companies I considered before choosing them, they were the most affordable for the amount of service they were offering.

Absolutely disgusting to deal with Bill (the owner) save yourself the headache and trouble of going with this dishonest company! They are disrespectful, dishonest, and a bunch of scams! Long story short, Bill gave me a quote for a simple move (all on my email) we agreed, put a $100 deposit. Day of the move, movers arrived, with no proper equipment for the move. One of the movers was running through the invoice with me while the other mover was wrapping some of the furniture. The invoice had complete different quote that we have never discussed and additional charges. So when the movers contacted Bill and had him on speaker, he said he wasn’t able to honour that quote (which again was the one he gave me via email and the one we agreed upon) so we cancelled the move, Bill said he will give us back our $100 deposit, and the movers left. We gave him over 3 weeks to refund the $100 deposit, and he still didn’t. So my husband reached out to him and was being very respectful about it, and his response was “oh yes, don’t worry I’ll refund your cheap asses” and that’s where it ticked off my husband so they both exchanged words! Regardless he still didn’t refund us the $100 and it’s been over 2 months, so we called our credit card company to dispute the charge! He should not be speaking to customers like this, he is rude, he is disrespectful, he’s a scammer and people like him will never be successful! Like I mentioned in the beginning, do yourself the favour and do not hire this company! I should of gone with AMJ movers or Bedwell, like I did in the past and had a smooth experience, but they weren’t able to accommodate the day of move for me.unacceptable!

Ontario Van Lines provide excellent service in a move from Toronto to Ottawa. They were easy to deal with, explained very well all the steps of the move (pick up at a locker in Toronto to move in Ottawa) and were very professional. They were on time and provided excellent quality move.

Moved from Hamilton to Edmonton, Good Service. Got my stuff in 7 days. Everything came proper without any damage. Will for sure recommend Ontario Van lines for your Move.

I took OVL's service for moving from Toronto to Edmonton. Packing was super fast in Toronto, packers were very friendly and they were really fast to pack the things very well. Bill, the owner, was cooperative. The person who delivered in Edmonton was a very friendly guy and completed his task with great care. I am happy with the overall service I recieved from them. I had to arrange a last minute move and Ontario Van Lines came to the rescue! They were able to arrange the move for the next day. The guys were all professional. They wrapped all of our large pieces of furniture carefully and transported them without any damage. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and professional. I would recommend hiring them for your next move.

I used Ontario Van Lines for a move and also a cube retrieval all done for me on the same day.
First off the communication with Bill was phenomenal. He gave me reassurance that my move and cube pick up would be seamless. I felt reassured right from the start. The guys were reliable and professional! I am quite impressed to say the least.
The price quoted was very reasonable compared to other moving companies. I will be moving again as this was a temporary move and I feel so grateful to have crossed paths with this amazing company! Don’t hesitate to try these guys. They really know what they are doing and have been in business for over 30 years! That speaks volumes. Don’t let any bad reviews sway you! I would not hesitate to use this company!

As it stands, my hands are unfortunately tied. I can only hope I prevent another personal from having to go through the same ordeal.

We moved to NS in August of 21. We had originally chosen another mover who did not communicate pick up time and details. I had a very unsettled feeling about the whole thing. By lunch time of the day of our furniture being moved still had no communication from them, despite leaving multiple messages. Our house was closing next day. I scrambled to find someone who would come first thing in the morning of the closing day and this is where wefound Ontario Van Lines. We were so impressed with the professionalism of the whole team. They carefully wrapped our things and found us storage very close to the town we were moving too. We have nothing but good things to say about their service. Thank you for making an incredibly stressful experience into a positive experience. Would totally recommend them.

We got referred to Ontario Van Lines through a family friend. Bill was great to deal with. The two workers (Av & Dy) worked very efficiently and were great. Extremely careful with our furniture and a pleasure to have in our home. When our renovation is complete we can’t wait to have them move us back in. Thanks guys, keep up the great work.
