Original Matsu Sushi Japanese and Korean Restaurant

A quiet place to have dinner. I had a good experience. Service was fast and the place was clean.

Unexpectedly good. Fresh food good service and privacy booths like a real Japanese restaurant. Great price too

Very poor hospitality; the portions are small for the price and the staff was not welcoming. Not worth your time if you are an Asian food enthusiast. I rated two stars, because there is room for improvement and the food taste was at the very least, good.

Fantastic little sushi restaurant. In my opinion, the quality is the best in Peterborough.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was quiet but well themed to the cuisine and the staff were very pleasant. Only note I have is that it is not a buffet, though the quality certainly made up for quantity.

I rarely speak negatively about any place but this restaurant is by far the biggest disappointment we have experienced by far in the peterborough area.

Family all ordering salmon teriyaki and sun dobu chingae (the only few korean dish that they still have). No kimchi, no tempura sauce.
The salmon teriyaki is terrible, it was still raw, it was a raw salmon smothered with teriyaki sauce (photos). Told the server/owner about this and she apologized. We don't touch the salmon thinking that they wont charged us for this raw salmon but they did without any hesitation nor trying to make it right by offering to replace the dish. Well …we just paid and left and we share this experience to make potential customer aware.

The sushi was so far from fresh, you can get a better quality sushi from T&T or from a pre-made sushi you can find from any Canadian groceries stores.

Most of the Korean dishes were gone from the menu, even some that still on the menu, they don't have it anymore.

I’m not too sure what is going on with this restaurant?
They should change their attitude and be more attentive towards the quality of the food that they serves before someone got sicks and this place will be sued.

Disappointed. First time trying and quality was not the best. The salad was just soy sauce on lettuce and was so salty. Had the spicy salmon maki roll and could not taste any fish. It looks like they mix a small amount of fish and the rest was rice. Was not appetizing.

I would objectively argue that this place sucks. The miso soup is almost cold it has no tofu nor does it have any seaweed in it. Really expensive and far from fresh

Was able to order and pay online then arrive and pick up. Nice mix of sushi and sashimi in the party tray.

Had high hopes but was disappointed. Tuna was so thin you could see the rice through it, there was no taste because the rice to fish ratio was so unbalanced. Looked like ‘all you can eat’ servings.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent are you I really enjoyed my time there

Ordered the Japchae for to-go and it was delicious. Smaller portion than expected but still delicious. Will be back if I want Korean in Peterborough.

Bland and overpriced. $17 for raw vegetables on rice with no seasoning with hot sauce and an egg.

Really great food. Excellent service. I hadn't been to this location in years and I don't know why, It was Terrific. (Sorry for the picture quality).
