Orillia and District Veterinary Services

On November 2,2023 we were faced with putting our beloved dog, Parker, of 13 years down. Orillia and District Veterinary Services were there for us right from the beginning, treating Parker as their own, as always. Tammy Durnford, at the front desk, took multiple phone calls from me prior, addressing all my questions, not certain of our decision, was it too soon, did he know, would he know when the time came and so many more that almost seemed irrational during our time of distress. Tammy made me feel that any question I had was ok and "normal". She carefully answered what she could with grace and thoughtfulness.
After checking in with Hailey, Dr. Natalie Cowling and assistant Leanne came in to the room with us where a quality of life assessment was done, reassuring us we had made the right and unselfish decision by putting Parker first. Sometimes we keep them around a little longer than we should. I am so grateful to ODVS for their empathy, honesty and knowledge but most importantly, for making Parker so comfortable in those last moments, the most comfortable he had been in a long time. Thank you Tammy, Hailey, Leanne and Dr. Natalie for such compassionate and caring assistance in the crossing over for our dearly missed pup, Parker. Lastly, Tammy I'm so grateful that we followed you from your previous Vet Clinic, I hope they knew what they were missing. Gratitude beyond words for ODVS. Rest in Peace Bubbies

The vets and staff have taken excellent care of our young Golden Bentley. They follow up with any concerns very quickly. We have gone through and continue to have a tough time with Bentley's health. We appreciate their concern and support.

My family has been using ODVS' services for decades. Even though I've left the area, I drive back to Orillia just for the amazing service. There's no one I would trust more with my three cats. The staff here are so kind and their care and respect for animals is clearly evident.

We attended the vet to inquire about our dog’s increasing separation anxiety and were provided with several strategies from the very knowledgeable staff at the front desk. Dr. Natalie also called us within two hours to further investigate the anxiety and offer advice, tips, and different levels of treatment. We are impressed and grateful for the unexpected level of attention we received today.

All of the staff so helpful and friendly. Would not want to take our fur babies anywhere else.

Used to come here but the vet bills they would dish out were much more expensive in comparison to other vets we have tried. The staff are super nice though!
