I have been going here for probably ten years. I love the people. They take the time to get to know you and always accommodate. At this point my entire family comes here as well because of how much we trust and love the service. They’ve been part of all our big life moments with proms, wedding etc. Also Mai is amazing!

I have been coming here for many years, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! Karen is especially fantastic, and always does a great job. I have been to other nail technicians as well such as Mai and Tracy, and they always do a fabulous job! If you need a great manicure, pedicure, wax, or any beauty treatment you will have a great experience here:)

One of the best places in Toronto for manicure and pedicure.
The place is very clean and staff is always trying to make the visit pleasant.
I have been going to this place for years and always leave with amazing, long lasting manicure and pedicure.

My favourite is Karen, but if she is not available the other ladies are great as well.

I had a fabulous manicure with Mai. She listened to how I wanted my nails done and did them just the way I liked them! Very pleased!

I got a shellac manicure here and it did not even last a week without chipping. When I went in after 10 days and every nail was half peeled off, the owner told me that they don’t guarantee any long-term lasting for shellac. She said I could pay the $10 to get it removed or that they could remove it “for free” if I paid full price for a regular or shellac manicure. Horrible customer service and I definitely will never be back.

This salon deserves no star at all! Went to get my eyelashes permed and wasted $45 for an eyelash perm that does not exist. The girl who did the service surely doesn’t know how to do her job. On top of that, I went home and noticed small white clumps on my eyelashes, that resembled glue. I just had to wash my lashes cause the white clumps doesn’t seem to go away. So disappointed! Please don’t waste your time and money in this salon. ‍️

I called this morning and asked how much a shellac colour change was. I was told it was $22.00 without taking off previous shellac as I did not have shellac on my nails. I then asked how much a shellac manicure was and was told it is $27.00. I cancelled my appt with another salon down the street as this salon was cheaper.
I got my shellac manicure and went to pay. They said $40.00. I was so confused and asked how. They said Because they are charging 5$ to take the shellac off. I told them I did not have shellac on my nails. The lady then said $35 I said we just spoke on the phone and you told me $27. She was first trying to deny she spoke to me but admitted she quoted $22 for the shellac colour change only. If I had known it was $35 I wouldn’t have gotten the full manicure as I never get manicures done. She continued to argue with me back and fourth and finally said okay fine pay $27. After embarrassing me at the front cash in front of other customers. It wasn’t about the money as I tipped very well to the lady who did my nails but reading the reviews it seems they change the price a lot. If I didn’t say anything I would have paid $40.00 all together plus tip. For something that I didn’t have done. (Charging for shellac removal when I didn’t have shellac on in the first place) this place is a total rip off I will never ever go back here. They make up prices and do as they please without any regard for the client

Really poor experience, prices are too high, they charged me $90 for shellac nails just hands, the girl who did my nails was having running nose plus she was super rude, I went with a friend and she had the same bad experience as me, DO NOT GO!

We called and spoke to Lyly who booked our appointment. We made sure to tell them that we dont want one person waiting as is the case there. Lyly completely ignored our request and futher more, rather than starting on the one who would be longer, they started on the one who would take less time to try to upsell. After a 30 min of seating in a chair and being told that any minute they would start, we left. Not impressed as we have been going there for years and they obviously have no loyalty to their clients. A shame as they have good workers there. Too bad this manager isnt as good as the previous one who cares about peoples time.

Went to salon on Sunday for the first time for a bio gel fill. I guess because my current nails were from another salon they charged me for a new set? It was $80 for a bio gel set without tips or anything (which is way more than I’ve ever paid anywhere). Work did not reflect price but whatever I paid and left. 4 days later two of my nails have already chipped (usually I never chip my polish from bio gel manicures) so I called and asked them to fix it. The “fixed” nails were now a different shade than the ones I originally had because they couldn't find my colour? And they tried to ask me to pay for this “fix”. I do not recommend this salon

My wife and I went here. Great service and approach to both manicure and pedicures. Will return.

Not good, do not recommend! Nail polish quality was terrible, they peeled off after a week! They didn’t have the colors I wanted, plus, the quality of the work was cheap, nails were not taken care of, just a nail polish and the fixer light!

Beautiful space, nice layout but these prices are over the top for mediocre nails. I paid over $120 plus tip for pedi and bio. I was desperate for my nails to get done but i don't know if I'd ever go back. Absolutely ridiculous

They just want to get the money here. They don't care about what the customer wants. I just paid $65 for acrylic and the design i wanted looks like a kid's work. I go to my favorite salon for 45 and it looks professional with top tier service. I really should've went there instead. Lol

It only take a me 4 days and my nails are already chipping. They are rushing and even i tell the lady who did my nails that it has a bubble on it. She said it's fine. Such a bad experience. ️

Annie has been doing my nails for months now and I never want anyone else, she is amazing! She always does an amazing job and I can trust her 100% to do an amazing job. I love how clean and beautiful my nails look. I originally went there because every place I got shellac done it was peeling within days. I wanted something that would last at least 2 weeks. They reccomended bio gel with shellac and it has always lasted at least 3 weeks but would last longer. Im very grateful to have found this shop with Annie because my nails have always been beautiful ever since.

I went to Ortensia believing that a biogel manicure would cost me around $65 before tax and tip.not only because this is what the prices on their board are but also because I have gone to other places and the rate is typically within $50-60 range. However, when I started my manicure with the technician she told me that if I wanted my cuticles to be cleaned and cut it would cost me another $10, and shellac would be another $10 on top of that. I understand the shellac being an extra charge (although $10 seems like a lot when your already spending a decent amount), but I was shocked when she tried to charge me for a cuticle cut.is that not supposed to be something that is included in a typical manicure. Long story short, the manicure ended up coming to over $100 with tax and tip, and on top of that the quality was extremely mediocre. She did not cut my hang nails or the dead skin around my cuticles which I paid extra for, she didn't apply any cuticle oil or moisturizer as they typically do, and the backs of my nails are covered in thick shellac polish that had dripped under when she was painting them. Point is I WILL NOT BE BACK, and while I understand that the pandemic has caused financial strain for businesses it does not excuse wild inflation and a decrease in quality. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Not bad but not good either.the other day when i asked for nails they said it was 65 dollars for bio gel but when i went today they charged me 85 dollars.the lady did a good job but didn’t listen and just did an oval shape when i wanted ballerina.not the best nails for 85 dollars.

What we went in for was 3 people a regular pedicure, a shellac pedicure and regular mani pedi.which they confirmed when we got there. I already think 53 for a shellac pedicure that took 40 minutes vs a regular at 28 was a lot. Then my friends went to pay. They gave my friend shellac even though she asked for regular. So 28 went to 54 even though she asked for different. While my other friend was waiting for her toes to dry (they had finished her hands) they offered to massage her shoulders while she was sitting in a massage chair. She was charged 35$ at cash for that 10 minute shoulder massage. When we said they didn’t tell us there was an additional charge to that and wasn’t told about the price they just stared at us. What was supposed to be a regular mani pedi and regular pedi costing 82 ended up costing my friends 142 before tax 160 after. We get our nails done often and we’re excited to try this place as it’s only around the corner but if you go watch out for this. We feel scammed. There’s no where on there price list that even lists massage.

Came to Ortensia for my first time a few days ago! They did a great job on my nails and the staff were really nice! Will definitely come again!

I'm extremely unhappy with my experience here. My actual nail tech, Nancy, did a great job but one of the products used for my dip powder fill must be defective as I got it done on Sunday and 3 days later, the gel on SIX of my nails had cracked and chipped. Got it fixed that day and again, 4 of those fixed nails chipped, and on top of that, 3 of my actual nails have now broken and had to be filed down. Trying to call this place and speak to the manager is a waste of time because she has never returned my call despite my repeated calls to the salon and 2 different receptionists taking down my name and number and promising to have the manager call me back asap. I've never had such a horrible experience with any nail salon I've been to or even with dip powder which I've been getting done for 2 years now. I don't even slightly recommend, this is NOT a way to conduct business.

Nancy gave me an amazing pedicure, and went over and beyond in her duty.definitely recommend. Update: the prices displayed in all of their price lists are apparently not accurate. They will charge you above prices listed, and if you don't agree to the price they have come up with they are pleased to argue you (quite loudly and as group of them at the front) and don't hesitate to allow you to just leave. Went for almost half a year to Lily exclusively, no longer have plans of returning.

I went to Ortensia to get a shellac manicure and pedicure done. On the third day of having these services done I noticed my nails started chipping and cracking. I called the salon and told them the situation and they told me to book an appointment to come in and have them fixed. When I arrived at the salon I was told I would have to pay more money in order to fix them. I told the lady at the front I was not going to pay as I was just in less than a week ago and spent $90.00 and this shouldn’t happen. After being there for 20 minutes waiting, the lady working at the reception desk came up to me and started yelling in front of many customers in the salon saying “this time we will fix only one nail for free but if anything else goes wrong, you are going to pay for it”. She then proceeded to yell at me and call me rude. I then decided I would walk out because of how unprofessional this was dealt with. I would come to Ortensia every 2 weeks for two years now, and even brought my friends with me, and after this I unfortunately will never be returning.

They know me and what I want. They recognize my voice on the phone when I call. Peter is amazing!

Very mediocre place. The service is nice, but overpriced (they charge for “giving you longer nails” +10) I paid 70$ for powder gel and shellac which is outrageous because up the street it’s 70 for a full set with design. There was no real cleanup of my nails and I was disappointed enough that I will not return. My nails look ok but not 70$ ok. Also I have coke thumbs because the shaping wasn’t that good. Edited to update that one of my nails has already fallen off and another has chipped quite severely. Removing another star for shoddy workmanship.
