Oscar's Family Diner & Grill

It’s Friday night Dec. 01/23 unfortunately very slow on the service. Server was very understanding however she said the kitchen was the issue. Very disappointing and so therefore a low rating.

The food and service are wonderful, I really enjoy their breakfast specials. I have been multiple times and have never had any issues.

Oscar’s offers a great deal when it comes to portions of the meal! You get a lot considering their reasonable prices. Moreover, service is great and staff is also friendly and courteous.

Been my favorite since I was a little girl I now live 1.5 hours away and still make the drive at least 3 times a year. Great all day breakfast.

Food is consistently good, and the servers are friendly. Service was a bit slow but it was not due to the server, she was doing her best. The decor is an older style, but it really gives a comforting feeling. This place is a classic Kitchener restaurant.

Oscar's has really gone downhill. It took over an hour to get our meals, and the steak was overcooked. Two toddlers we had with us were getting very fussy. The parking lot has huge holes that were there over a year ago. I will not go back

Love the food, but we were seated and after 15 min we still hadn't talked to anyone we left, too bad the service is so bad.

Was okay, service was slow considering the restaurant was nearly empty. My meal was great, but my wife's was super-bland, she wound up throwing out 75% of it

The food was tasty.sadly when we went for lunch the table we sat at wasn't very clean.the server was very nice but there was only one doing everything.the air conditioning was not working so it was beyond hot.we were told it was broken but after a few ppl complained they turned it on.

Food was excellent and hot. We ordered “Skillet that way” and “Northern Lights” breakfast. Loved the twist on the potato. Instead of your regular wedge or slice, they were hash brown similar to a latke. Loved it! Nice flavours in the baked beans, not overly sweet, just right.

Another fav on my "family diner" circuit for breakfast and lunch. Great lunch specials every day, side Salad is better than most with leafy greens not just iceberg lettuce. You can still ask for beans with those bacon & eggs brekkies and get this - 10% off for cash paying diners! Don't hesitate to ask if they forget. They seem to handle groups quite well too when properly arranged

The daily special was a chicken caesar wrap and sweet potato soup. They were both exceptional as was the service!

I thought this place was excellence all around very friendly waitress an food was perfect family oriented I would take my mother there it's great

My husband ordered eggs Benedict. Requested very soft poached eggs. Got rock solid poached eggs. Sent it back. Instead of redoing them they offered any other breakfast other than eggs Benedict.

The Lady with blond hair must learn how to give an appropriate and respectful answer to the customer. Moreover, next time stop leaking your fingers while you are doing the shake in the kitchen. I will never come back to this restaurant.

I’ve been coming to Oscar’s for about 2 years now in the mornings after working night shift and I’ve always had an amazing experience with the same amazing waitress since my first time visiting, she’s always brightening my morning (she works the mornings alone most times I’ve been during the week). The service is faster than anywhere else in town, the foods cheaper than anywhere else in town, the portions are larger and more delicious than anywhere in town! Definitely recommend Oscars to anyone and everyone.

Great service and food.fast and delicious. Our server Laurie is bubbly and very down to earth.always friendly and personable. Very accommodating to change to vegetarian option for my bagel.

The food was great! The service was horrible. Our waitress (Laurie) was scatter brained, slow, and unprofessional.
We had to ask twice for our coffee. She forgot the lemon for my water. We flagged another waitress for a refill on coffee because our waitress was nowhere around. The table beside us waited 10 minutes for their take out boxes and another 15 for their bill. They asked another server for take out boxes. They tried to pay their bill with the other waitress but could not.

Laurie asked if everything was OK as she walked by our table, not waiting for a response, to see if we needed anything (refills). Argued with a fellow employee in front of customers when the other waitress was just trying to help do her job. Making comments frequently "This is why I drink! "

If I ever return, I will insist on another server.

The food is typically super good. But the service is awful and negligent on more than one occasion, there as been times we’ve walked out. But we keep coming because the breakfast potatoes are the best.

Omelettes are my favourite thing on the menu, and for the price this place is hands down a breakfast go to.

The waitress was amazing. She was the only waitress working and she was managing everyone in a timely fashion.
Amazing woman.
