Osmow's Shawarma

Worst location I’ve ever grabbed the chicken on the rox. Barely any chicken or white sauce for a large order. Was cold on top of it all. Won’t be going back to this location. Gross

Very disappointed with the service, I ordered 3 shawarmas and they put no spice in the shawarmas and 2 of them I got extra garlic sauce and there was barely any sauce in the shawarmas. On top of that I tried calling to complain no one answered. No don’t recommend going to this location.

This Osmow’s is the only Osmow’s I come here. The staff here is amazing and they rain supreme in their shawmra making abilities. I always have a good time when I come in and there isn’t a time where they don’t have a smile for life. I go out of my way to drive here even though there is shawmra places way closer to where I live down town just because they are that magical.

If you want good eats, live laugh love your way here and only here!

Online ordering worked great. Very smooth. However, sadly food was not good. Fatoosh had no dressing, ordered 6 Baklava and only got 2. Ordered mild spice and meat was extremely hot. This was not a very good experience and I’m very disappointed because we weren’t expecting this ordering from here the first time.

This was at the upper James location. When entered the store employee was sitting UNDER the counter not wanting to work. Then asked about the strawberry banana smoothie and two coworkers exchanged shrugs and ignored the question. Asked again, did the same thing. They treat their customers like an inconvenience more than anything else. Never going back again. Unprofessional and disrespectful

The guy asks u first u want regular or extra garlic there extra garlic sauce is equals to the regular in other store No garlic sauce toppings are way to less as compared with other stores dont waste ur money

Rude girls working there. I believe they are prejudice towards other people. The food may be good but I feel I have been ripped off by these people. Not a good place for me to be spending my hard earned money.

Very disappointed in the way they prepare beyond meat option. When I came into the restaurant I could see that both sides of the grill had different varieties of meat on the grills. I asked a girl how they prepare the beyond meat option. First, she didn't know what I was talking about and had to ask me three times to repeat the question. The girl became rude and impatient with my questioning her about this. Very unprofessional! Then she said she would clean a part of the grill for the beyond meat option. This is not restaurant protocol! This cleaning a portion of the grill with meat all around it does not make this option vegetarian or vegan. Proper restaurant protocol would be to have a completely separate Grill for a vegetarian vegan option. Needless to say I did not continue to place my order due to the lack of cleanliness or proper hygiene in regards to the way they prepare their food. If you are going to offer beyond meat options than it is your responsibility and duty to make sure that the food you prepare is done properly and in accordance to what you are offering. This is a warning to all those that are vegetarian or vegan and looking for a place to eat. This is not it!

The food was excellent, Fast and friendly service. The guy who waited on me went above and beyond to make sure my orders were exactly what I wanted. Also he added toppings free of charge to my Chicken Shwarma on the Rocks. Definitely will be going back.

Ordered from Uber eats tonight, took the delivery person 15 minutes ti get here yet the food delivered was ice cold as if it came out of a fridge.

Shawarma was also ripped open.

Haven’t ordered from here before but based on this experience would avoid moving forward. Called the restaurant twice before writing this review, no luck getting through to anyone and VM is full.

Update Oct 2022: went at 9: 40pm and they said they were closed already even though their hours are until 10pm. Staff were very rude about it when I asked.

Some staff are impatient and unhelpful, others are nice.
The chicken shawarma plate was a big portion, the white sauce and hot sauce was good but the fattoush was sub par. It was very small, dry, with just iceberg lettuce and few other vegetables with no dressing. My friend had the shawarma plate as well, she liked it. She had the Greek salad and said it was ok but had too much dressing.

The best location! The chicken is not like all the other ones. It’s fresh and they make it with love. Best customer service I have received as well, they made sure they took care of my family. Keep it original! Thanks guys.

I ordered the beef shawarma wrap and was disappointed. Definatly was not up to the standards of other locations. The beef was hot but there was so little in the shawarma. The smallest I have ever had from osmows. There was more toppings than meat and also too much sauce. The previous visit I had the chicken shawarma wrap and the chicken was dry and cold. The last two times to this location where less than impressive.

I come here all the time. Great service! Bennet and Shantanu are the best. Always professional service and the food is great!

Ive been eating at this location weekly for over a year and I’ve been eating osmow’s even longer. I’ve always loved the food and had good experiences but the last few visits the quality and quantity have changed. The portion of chicken is laughable both in the wrap and on the plate. It’s been less and less every time. They try to hide the small potion with a large amount of rice and extra garlic sauce. Your a franchise now, your expanding with more locations, are you seriously trying to be conservative with the potions? Trying to save money? Your going to lose loyal customs like this.if this continues I’ll be going to shawarma royal, Safin grill, neighbours, pita lite- There is no shortage of shawarma spots in the city. This is very disappointing from my go to spot.

I’ve been to many different Osmow’s around Hamilton & Dundas, but this is hands down the most consistent one out of them all due to good customer service & my order is always consistent & always taste amazing!

The whole order was messed up and replaced with things we didn't even order or want. $84 down the drain.

Saturday 07/09/22 my wife and I visited this place in the evening to place an order. My wife waited 10 minutes to order, then we waited nearly 35 minutes for our food. It was a very simple order of a Falafel Sandwich and Chicken on Rice. We were charged 0.25 cents for green peppers and were instead given olives in my Falafel. Who puts olive's on a Falafel. Perhaps if your staff didn't spend so much time chit-chatting and playing with their mobile phones it wouldn't take nearly an hour to get food. Not to mention the Falafel pieces were hard like a rock. This is far from authentic middle eastern food. What a horrible experience.

Fantastic Mediterranean food. Recommended the Chicken Shawarma Wrap or Chicken Shawarma on the Rocks (Rice and Chicken with garlic sauce and Tahini)

I have visiting my relative in hamilton, i wanted to eat something vegetarian and spicy so my relative suggested me this place. The store is very clean and the falafel is so tasty just like i had in Saudi Arabia. The supervisor was very kind and explained me the whole menu and suggested me the best falafel with salad. This is going to be one of my great food memories in my trip.

As always FOOD was very delicious. Everyone was very cooperative. But one of your employee named JITESH's service was really impressive. He did a great job, no waitings.

Excellent customer service. Whenever, i am here, they offer welcoming attitude and great food. The restaurant is always so neat and clean. 5 out of 5

Honest Review, This was an easy 1/5 and I will not be returning here. Let’s start with the wait time, waited over 10-15 minutes for our two wraps with nobody else ahead of us. Finally received our wraps, got to the car and took a bite only to find out that they were mostly sauce. Before even taking a single bite the sandwich was falling apart. Tried to it eat it regardless of the mess, thinking maybe it tasted better than it looked. Tasted as saucy and as non-Mediterranean as I had imagined. Never again Osmows.

Very nice brown boys working over there and made very good food very happy with thier service young boys work really hard keep it up.

Plenty of option for toppings and sizes. Love the chicken shawarma, the place is super awesome the quite friendly people. Been a couple times and will be one of my go to's for shawarmas from now on.

Man, this place is the worst Osmow's I've ever been to. They are SUPER stingy on the sauce and the chicken was 1000% not fresh. It was like eating dry cat food with a drizzle of garlic sauce over rice and dissapointment. If you're thinking about eating here, don't. Just go to the one on Barton. You'll actually enjoy what you're eating.

What is up with their quality went from basmati rice to cheap poor quality pilaf type of rice. Does not taste like shawarma more like some quick minute food thrown in microwave. Little chicken and barely any garlic sauce when asked to put some. Ive been a customer of osmows for many years and they have decided to go cheap when growing bigger but will lose its customers when deciding to go this route.

Visited between Christmas and New Years. You're better off to go to another location. I overlooked the fact that restroom was filthy. Nagging voice in the back of my head reminded me of that saying that you can guage the cleanliness of the kitchen based on how clean the bathroom is. But I against my better judgement I ordered. My falafel got mixed up with my friends food and I ended up eating a couple bites of my friends chicken item and as a 25 year + vegetarian, I got super sick.

This is the most nastiest shwarma i ever had, even the shwarma poutine was bad. Hot sauce even worse

The food was good and had plenty of left overs to have as another meal later. What I really enjoyed though was the amazing customer service. Will definitely be coming back.

Terrible experience.very less quantity.not worth the price. Ordered super beef shawarmas and the quantity were less than the regular shawarmas.will never try this location ever again. DISAPPOINTED!

Our office was very unhappy with portions and their sauces. Called the location and asked for manager/owner to rectify the situation. He told us to bring all the food and return it. We are at work and you just ruined our lunches. Please avoid this location!

Poor quality and customer service for the 2nd time. 1st: re-fried fries and 2nd: uncooked falafel sharwarma. Really disappointed

This place isn’t as good as before, but it is still good and getting better. Food portions are good and the taste is fresh and nice. I’m not sure if it’s the same owners but a few years back the owner would often give free fries to kids who came with my friends and didn’t have money to order. Not sure if it’s the same management but thank you regardless.

Don't feel good after eating chicken shawarma, burping like crazy for long time. Flavor not good.
Owner, or mature man taking orders is very rigid, kind of programmed. Tried to explain to him to SENSE OR GAGE how in a hurry a customer is and act accordingly. Although I made clear that I don't need further explanation and I'm happy with whatever in the bag.he is recapping in a slow way.didn't get the message even after we my explanation. I have no idea who good then or educated them to cut the protein into that small of a pieces? So unappetizing and destroying the dish.it's not grating the chicken

Maby it was just a bad night but just ordered from this place 2 chicken shwarma plates and its honestly the worst chicken shwarma I have ever had all you can taste is lemon or ginger or something very over powering to add to that the plates were essential a bed of rice with a very small portion of chicken on top got 2 Greek salads with the order and 1 of them was just a container full of lettus lol all this for 37$ almost 40 bucks for bad tasting shwarma very small portions of chicken a bunch of rice and some lettus. I can honestly say I will never go back or order anything from this place ever again

Got large shawarma salad it and it was LARGE. Lol love the the hot sauce here is actually hot. Amazing hummus love dipping my shawarma wraps in it

I use to go to this place all the time. I ordered from them through skip due to lockdown, the last couple times, and it has never been good. This time I paid 27$ for a chicken shwarmama platter with ceaser salad. I had no salad, there was a hair in it, i paid for extra sauce, and there wasn't even enough on it to cover the bed of rice. The only thing right with my order was my pop. This place is only good if u watch them make the food so u can ensure u get everything.

Ordered the chicken on the rocks. A pathetic amount of chicken, got charged for extra garlic sauce when there was none to be found, more salad than rice.somehow? Salad has no dressing at all. Paid almost $15 for this and finished it and had to make myself more food as it was barely filling at all. Take your money elsewhere. The food was at least decent tasting (the only reason I didn't give 1 star).

They charge you 85 cents (with tax) for extra white sauce and then the cheapskates turn around so you can't see whether it's satisfactory to your liking. A complete and utter ripoff.

I am giving one star, not because of food as it is amazing but everything I called them for order, they don’t respond. I called 7-8 times but still the same.
At the end Uber eats help me out.
I will never visit or order from this branch.

Just like every other joint they have. They put too much sauce which makes it tasteless and you can’t enjoy the chicken flavour at all.

Food is great. Don't order off Uber eats though. The times will change and they won't have any idea what is going on. Legit. But food is great. Just go there and order it.

We had chicken on the rocks and couple of chicken shawarma wrap two days ago. They put literally half meat and half garlic sauce even meat was not hot enough. It was not worth to buy from this location.
Disappointed.

Food is great, my spicy tolerance is very high.
Although I ordered a mild shawarma, my mouth felt like Satan was swimming in it. Your spice chart needs re-calibration.

Recently stopped by for a quick take out, I ordered a chicken shawarma sandwich/wrap and it was fantastic.
It was fresh and juicy meat, wrap was nicely rolled as well stayed put:)

Never a bad experience. I personally find that Osmows is a little overpriced and the that the veggies arent the freshest. Solid portions however do make up for it.

Taste was horrible less quantity, even not hot, i wanna give 0 but that is not option, plsease use to go other location, it take 20 mins more but u will get good and tasty food that is worth for you.

I went here for the first time, and I am so glad I did. They are super friendly, and helpful. There is lots of food to choose from, and the food is AMAZING! The portions are huge, and everything is fresh! I will be returning. This place in my opinion has the BEST shawarma in town! There regular size was huge enough. I was so full, but there was a size bigger! I truly recommend you at least try this place!

Fantastic Staff and Service. Always great food on Take Out or Eat In. Hot Sauce is VERY Hot, so I never go past Medium. This is 100% my go-to for Falafel on the Mountain.

Very friendly customer service. Great price for the amount of food that is given. Will be about a 20 min wait when its busy. BUT perfection should not be rushed. Quality of food is worth the wait.

I've tried this place a few times because it's come highly recommended by a couple friends. Had the French fries with shawarma on top, sounded good, actually quite gross. Haven't found the redeeming dish here, done trying.
