I ordered food from an online delivery. A chicken on the rock and I found a hair on the food, it was over a piece of chicken. So disgusting experience. Overall the food didn’t taste fresh, the rice was cold and the chicken was dry texture. Supervisor and manager needs to monitor constantly the food serves for customers.
I ordered from this location Uber eats sorry for the bad review but the food was an edible I wouldn’t feed it to my dog everything was stale old and dry went straight in the garbage
I generally like this place but was annoyed recently by two things: 1. They charge extra for pickles and pickled turnips. As someone that grew up eating middle Eastern food, these things should be standard along with parsley salad 2. I ordered a side of 5 falafel at a cost of $6 and they were the tiniest things ever. Falafels cost nothing to make so if you're going to charge over a buck per then please be generous. #Greedflation.
This is the best Osmows location so far in gta in terms of food which they serve. I have been to many osmows locations in the past 1 year and found that all of them have started serving really bad quality food. While ordering from this location, I was bit hesitant. But as soon as i tasted the food, it was really good. Asked for extra garlic sauce and the amount of sauce and chicken was perfect. Keep up the good work guys. I don’t think right now there is any osmows location in gta that is serving good quality food like you does.
Please value your customers' time. I asked for Chicken and Rice and was told the rice would be 10 minutes to cook. 25 minutes later I was told it would be 5 more minutes. I had to settle for chicken and fries. If the order taker had just been upfront with the rice timing I'd have ordered fries to begin with and saved myself 25 minutes. The staff were member making the order was also quite unpleasant when asked about the timing. Please value your customers' time.
I've seen many of these Osmow's Shawarma franchises throughout the GTA but have never been to one until today.
The major choice one has to make before ordering is Platter or Shawarma?
Follow that up with whether to choose chicken, beef, lamb, falafel or Beyond Meat?
I went the route of a $10.29 Super Chicken Shawarma, bumped up to a $2.99 combo which includes Stix (aka fries) and a pop.
My wrap selection of toppings were lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green olivers, turnips, pickles, parsley and hot peppers. Add sauce to that please at spice level "scorchin' hot" for my sweetie.
Overall, the super sized shawarma was tasty. The Stix were crispy. The service was good. A return visit is planned.
If you like Lebanese Garlic sauce with chicken and rice this isn't the place. Sauce taste like mayo mainly and very watery.not impressed at all. I asked for just a few pieces of Pickeled Turnip and he told me it was a $1 dollar extra. I would never go back or recommend this place.
Walked in 30 mins before close and tried to order Chicken on Veggies. I was told by the staff that unfortunately since it takes 20 mins to make and they close in 30 mins they will not be able to let me order what I wanted.how does that math make sense? I guess they wanted to leave 10 mins before the posted closing time. P.s. It was Nov 30,2021.and of course they did not give me a reciept so I could do the survey online.
For vegetarians do not go for this location. For falafal they charge $15 and it was just rice lettuce and falafal. Not worth it. There is one Johnny's Shawarma go for that location you will love it.
I visited this place on the National Shawarma Day on Oct 15,2021. Even with all the hype and all, the quantity was 75% of what they provide on regular day. It was not worth it to wait in queue for that. I am not sure whether it was location specific or because of national shawarma day they cut down on portion size…
Surely this picture of the shawarma is enough to see that their quality of food has DROPPED! They don't seem to pay attention to customer requests & cannot differentiate between green and black olives. Their Shawarma's are soggy it's not appetizing at all. I will not be ordering from here again!
Tried this place on National Shawarma day to avail the deal and although the wraps all ran out by the time ww got there, we had their chicken on rocks which was very good
I’ve been through a lot of Osmow’s and I’ve got to say this is the second best I’ve been too I had an incident with my order and the supervisor BAVNEET did an exceptional job handling it. Completely satisfied and happy for once. She kept apologizing and that’s what you call GREAT customer service.
This place is the McDonalds of Shawarma. Not the best but not the worst. Been coming here since the restaurant has open. Ownership has seem to change recently as well there seems to be high staff turn over. Leading to an inconsistent experience.
I have had two orders with mistakes and instead of owning up to them, they try to argue with you. First one was adding Sumac. They used to ask if you wanted it when you picked up your food. Now when they ask you if you want all sauces that includes Sumac. This problem happen with the next customer as well. Then today they added Hot Sauce when I requested no spice. Instead of apologizing, it became you asked for it. AS well was charged $1.49 for an On Top Fee. They could not explain what that was for.
There are many Shawarma spots out there. I would suggest looking into them. Between the recent price increases, the inconsistent service, and average food. You can find a better deal and better food. Also note they give a free drink for 5 Star reviews.
It's never a good experience here. I recently asked for sauce on the side and the woman threw it in the bag and it exploded inside. I didn't have the energy to fight with her. I won't be back.
2 out of the three times I ordered at this location, I got the wrong order. I first ordered a medium beef on rocks with garlic and tahini sauce, a little bit of hot sauce and no tzatziki sauce. I received chicken on rocks with tzatziki and no hot sauce. I’m lactose intolerant and couldn’t eat the food. The second time I ordered I asked for beef shawarma platter, with garlic sauce and tahini, and spice level hot and no tzatziki. When I got back home and opened it, there was 0 sauces. It was just beef on rice. Super disappointed.
*UPDATED* Manager reached out to me and offered me a free super sized shawarma in regards to my inital issue below. Got the shawarma, and when opening it up, it wasn't even wrapped. Literally majority of the wrap poured out as I struggled to keep it together. This place is an absolute JOKE!
Original: Bought a chicken on the rocks like I do at all the other locations. Only difference with this location is I wasn't sure if they were referring to the chicken as "rocks". Their chicken is never supposed to be hard to the point where you're practically grinding your teeth to break it down, or have bones, and that's exactly what this location serves. To make matters worse, the workers tend to mathematically complicate themselves, or just don't know math. Change for $20 after paying $13.60 should be a $5 bill and change. NOT $4 and something in change. Terrible. Absolutely TERRIBLE.
Food is great. Got rid of old manager. Food is back to normal. Everything is good tastes great. Very happy with the service! Quality is back to par. Thank you to the owners for making everything right again.
The fryer didn't work well and it was told after 10 minutes from giving the order. The manager Kalpesh spoke a bit rude when asked for a compensation. The other staff were very polite though.
I like osmows but not this location because I order a chicken shawarma on uber eats but it's not look like shawarma it's look like something else and please don't spoil the brand name
Ordered, chicken on the sticks and chicken on the rocks, medium size for both. They gave 2 spoons of chicken for both of them, (10% chicken). Spoke with the Manager, and claims they reduced how much chicken they normally give. Like if you want to lie about something at least know what your saying. I don’t see any other Osmows being this stingy with the chicken.
After I called and told them about this, they offered me a small chicken on the rocks.
We don’t know what’s going on with this location but, the food and the service has become very erratic and inconsistent.
The last time that we ordered the salads for pickup, they put much less vegetables than before and when we asked for more they simply refused.
It’s very disappointing to see that this restaurant has been going down so much in such a short amount of time.
ORIGINAL:
Overall, Osmow’s is a good Mediterranean food restaurant franchise.
We have been coming to this location since they opened just a few years ago and, even though there have been slight changes since, it is still one of our go-to places in the neighborhood.
Their portions are generous, from the salads to the shawarmas, we normally order medium size as the large can be too much for one person.
The vegetables are fresh, the meat portions are reasonable, you can customize your toppings and the sauces are tasty.
The service is usually very friendly and diligent although, every by now and then, it can be a little off.
Very nice place. I like it’s very clean and very professional stuff there working! Always friendly, loves children. Very delicious food as well and good prices! I highly recommend to order food there. My favourite is chicken shawarma wrap. Very fresh walkways and delicious.
The staff members were really nice and helpful. They had a great and positive attitude. Food was served very quickly. The food was prepared so nicely. Great job!
This location is ridiculous disgusting. Avoid it at all costs.ordered it from Uber Eats, my food was served to me cold and it looked like they gave me food from 2-4 hours ago. Absolutely disgusting. Wasted $100+
The staff makes the food very slowly as well as they pick up the phone and hang up the call deliberately when you want to make an order over the phone.
Excellent customer service! Very friendly and caring staff. We had a complaint about cold chicken and they made the food again and gave us a large plate instead of medium.
Everything was good at this store but I observed that they were cooking raw chicken right on the grill rather than on rotisserie, which is why I am giving them 3 stars. As it is very important thing for the quality of food served in a Shawarma Place.
I suggest that they should consider this as It can also lead to a fine as it is strictly not to be done by any Osmow's.
However If I say about Quantity they are serving everybody a good portion.
Food is Okay, Service could be faster. When no body is at the counter, why is the fourth guy cleaning the grill when the 3 people working with him are busy preparing food. He could have delayed what he was doing and taken my order.
Had the medium beef salad. It was amazing and so filling. Best part was Ilias show when preparing the food. It was a great! Great service and great food. I'll be back!
An excellent dining experience. Great food at great value. As there slogan says authentic middle eastern food served with a middle Eastern flare. Fast and efficient service despite your own custom selected toppings and degree of spicyness. You will enjoy a great ambiance if you decide to eat in. Great value and great food.
Food is good but what's the point of calling in and ordering for pick up? Whenever I have done so, when I arrive. They don't ever have it ready. In fact, they start making it after I arrive and pay. This happened to me twice now
Apart from the lil slow service, this is a really good place for shawarma and falafel. Better than Paramount in terms of food quality, quantity and price.
