Osmow's Shawarma

The best osmos i’ve been too. My food was made just how i wanted, it was soft and crispy. The service was fantastic.

I frequently come to this location, the service is great and the food is always prepared very nicely. The employees are very friendly as well.

The osmows branch in university plaza near McMaster university had amazing food and they had the best service I’ve ever encountered!

The food tastes very bad, not close to shawarma, just chicken with spices from foodbasics, will never go back again.
Also there was some small hard particles not chewable, dont know what was that.

Got my regular order for which the total is $12.75 and what the cash register screen and my receipt showed, however, the clerk told me the total was $13 as he decided to give himself a 25 cent tip keeping that portion of my change.

Clean interior, fast service, and polite staff. Food was fresh and overall great experience

Amazing scrumptious shawarmas! A must visit if you are craving Mediterranean food. Just discovered vegetarian meals are also available.

Lamb shawarma is so good.
Pricey but worth it.
Spice level is inconsistent tho so just be aware.

The chicken and rice were over cooked. The white sauce tasted like mayonnaise. I asked for hot sauce and they put sumac. Another Osmow I will never eat again.

When I came to this restaurant there was a man and two women behind the counter. I asked for hot sauce on the side and the women rolled their eyes at me and smirked. Extremely unprofessional and straight up rude.

We have had Osmow's since they've opened in Hamilton and this location was one of the best. But in the last few years, it has downgraded so much! Rice is always undercooked, I don't understand this. We stopped buying but decided to try again this week after so long, and nothing has improved. This is so sad because their flavors are great. We definitely don't plan on returning after this.

I use to brag about this being the best osmows in the area. I don't know what happened iv gone twice in the last 3 weeks and both times the rice was undercooked and still hard. Then the chicken tasted like it was cut off 2 days ago and left sitting to get dried out and crunchy. I always add pineapple and they use to throw it on the grill before they put it on top. Now they take a cold pineapple slice and just sit it on top of the hot food. Not sure if it's a new owner or staff etc.but there fallen down hill. Truly starting to believe sana grill is still the best chicken and rice!

White Sauce? Hot Sauce? YUMMY SAUCE! I truly take a nibble nibble of this food when im hungry some months and I must say 10/10 is an understatement of what it entails!

Quantity given is very fulfilling for the price. Their Home made spicy sauce is actually quite spicy. The oz box is not that attractive if you consider the price but they have daily offers on the oz box. The best recommended dish is chicken on rocks or half and half. The wraps are okay okay but the saj is good.

I’ve gone many times and it’s so hir or miss. Sometimes it’s good, but often the rice is hard. Why it’s a 1 and not a 2 star is because they literally half fill the containers. For the same price I’ll just go to lazeez in Westdale.

I ordered chicken on the rocks. And it was delicious and quality& quantity is good enough for 2 person.

A classic go to place for comfort food! They have a new vegan garlic sauce option as well which was superb. Highly recommend!

I really like this Osmow's location. I go here frequently for lunch. There's a gentleman who works very hard there and my Shawarma is always good when he's working. I've had 1 Shawarma when he was not working and it was chewy overcooked Chicken. Depends on the employees working. You will know when this guy works because he is very polite and greets you when you walk in. One of the best employees working there. Overall, this is a great place to stop for lunch or even dinner.

My meal was found to be too spicy so I brought it up to the employee who quickly apologized and offered to make another shawarma for me.

Very fresh and very big helping! The staff is super helpful and friendly. We got the chicken shawarma platter with fatoush salad and a chicken in the rocks. Both amazing!

Lost my wallet when ordering food a while ago, one of the workers found it and put it in an envelope and was ready to call my school to find the owner. Great employees, and great quality of food!

Asked for little spice but then wanted to have it changed to no spice before paying, but when the employee was making it, he clearly added 2 lines of spice. We asked him about it and instead of making a new one or owning up to his mistake, he accuses us of saying we ordered mild spice and then changed it to little. A little bit more talking goes by and he goes back to the counter and covers the hot sauce with more garlic sauce as if we can't see him. Amazing decision making on his part and will definitely not be coming back.

I love this restaurant! All of the staff are nice and the food is delicious. The price is reasonable for the large portions given. Overall it is an amazing restaurant.

Excellent service from the employees here. Came in for the daily special; the meat was juicy, perfect rice to meat ratio, and when my meal didn't come with enough sauce, they graciously added more for me! Will definitely recommend and come again.

Quality used to be a lot better than it is now. I've been disappointed with their delivery lately so I went in to pick up and staff were loudly vacuuming in the middle of dinner rush. I tried their beyond meat wrap and it was so bad that I threw half of it out. I won't be coming back again.

I recently visted this place, the girl who taken my order was very professional and behaved politely and prepared my order in good manner. I fully recommend this place for good food.

Don't waste your money, what you see in the ads is not what you get, only had 8 pieces of pineapple in my super Osmow's special, no grill marks, luke warm. Never going to Osmow's ever again.

I don’t want chips in my salad i want MORE MEAT they definitely give less meat than when they first opened.i remember when they first opened there was SO MUCH MEAT now i compare it to bacon crumbles.i’m not even a big guy and it’s not enough.and $4.99 for extra meat no way $2 max

Unbelievable service and very accommodating to my Celiac Disease. The staff made my salad with all fresh produce to help avoid any risk of cross-contamination. I highly recommend eating here if you’re celiac or gluten-intolerant as they’re very accommodating and friendly!

This is the most GARBAGE food ive ever had in my life. I had the beef platter and the most unbeliveable thing about the dish is how the whole plate was soaked with oil. The quality of this food is very low, 20$ for this plate is unbeliveable high for such low quality food, i would expect a dish with this quality to be 7$ to 9$ but i guess the owner doesnt recognize its failure to serve good and reasonable priced food to its costumers. I do not recommend this restaurant that is located in the dundas universite plaza, AVOID THE OSMOS DISASTER.

I work near by and it takes all my willpower not to pick up lunch every day here - it is that good! I get the shawarma wrap, which is always delicious. Spend the extra 3$ to super size and you will not be disappointed. They really will surprise you with how much extra you get!

We love this Osmow’s as this location never fails in anything they provide, best Osmow’s location. Amazing staff and awesome service they never made a mistake with my order Food is fresh and quick. They are also very clean and safe. I highly recommend that you go there!

Staff not trained properly, not systematic, hence they took 30 minutes for preparing my order. To put things into perspective I'd rather go eat at literally any other place than this location. Owners gotta buckle up! Doesn't even deserve the one star!

First and probably last time I will eat here. Thought because it was national shawarma day, I would celebrate with a good deal and give osmow's a try. Have heard alot of good things about osmow's. The chicken and garlic sauce were the worst parts of my meal (should be the stars). The chicken was bland with gristle pieces throughout and the garlic sauce had little to no garlic flavour. The sauce just tasted like mayo. And the wrap itself was not a good texture. Also had the famous "shawarma on the rocks". Rice was good but it goes back to the chicken and garlic sauce being terrible so that was spoiled. I will continue traveling to burlington for zesty's for my shawarma fix (I had come to conclusion they have the best shawarma, and I shouldn't bother with others).

Best Shawarma in Hamilton, always hot and fresh as well as great service from owner and staff. 10/10 recommend

The quality has been on the decline for some time. Don't bother with their chicken on the rocks. It went from a delicious heart attack on a plate to a sad, thin layer of chewy, dry reheated chicken bits that probably hadn't seen the rotisserie in hours, lightly sprinkled on top of a mountain of rice. Sauce was fine, but couldn't hide the fact that they served me reheated sinews instead of real shawarma. Just as unhealthy but far, far worse than it used to be.

Edit: yes this review is for the University Plaza location, used to be the best one.

I had to wait 1 hour for my meal yesterday because one of the workers made the shawarma chicken something even after my sister said that we don't eat any meat and are vegetarian so it would be no use for us. First of all she made the wrong order made everybody's order except for ours. Made us wait an hour and the food didn't turn out good at all. I read this places reviews after and noticed this is a pattern at this place. The girls were also busy eating right in front of us in front of the other food with their face masks hanging down, which makes me question this places cleanliness. The owner is yelling in Hindi and I found it it entertaining to some extent and probably the most disorganized place I've been to by far. If the promo wasn't on and I had to pay full price I'm willing to bet I would have disputed the time I had to wait and just the lady trying to push food we can't eat onto us and even after we said no she said you can give it to someone else maybe. Don't go here and I feel the reviews are severely rigged.

I don't know why this place has a good rating because the customer service is just horrible. Employees are rude and don't even try to do something about it. They messed up with the whole order and behaved like it's our fault. The girl didn't even try to apologize, another employee was walking with her long hair near food and the place doesn't look clean. The owners should pay more attention to the customer service. Even though the food is ok, I would drive further and spend more of my time than come back to them!

Staff is very rude, I would give them 0 stars if I could. The staff doesn't know how to talk to a customer. Osmow is one of my favorite places to eat at.well until now. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! WON'T EVER BE RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION. THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME.

Some people are putting bad reviews about staff but I also visited this Location Saturday night and I think it is all fake reviews because staff is really good and friendly. Highly recommended place!
