Osmow's Shawarma

Had an issue with my order, Manager was nice enough to resolve the issue in a quick and timely manner.

Got take out via the Osmow's website (not DD, UberE, etc). Walked a half hour to pick it up and a half hour back home. While eating almost choked on a massive chicken bone left in the chicken. I called and informed the staff, then spoke to the manager.

Manager had NO idea what was going on and repeatedly asked for details I had already given and it felt like they weren't sure what the procedure was. Finally they asked me for a picture but refused to tell me how I could provide one (did not give a phone number or anything) then demanded I walk back immediately to show them. I said that I'm not walking back in the snow for a second time during what was supposed to be my dinner time, before I was told to come back another day "to verify if there was a bone. " Not walking back for them to remake a dish a day later and not even offer a discount, refund or coupon (which I never asked for in the first place.)

Hung up and decided not to eat from here again. Shawarma Alley, Shawarma Fusion and other restaurants have been opening all around Guelph and any issues I have with them I've always been polite and they've very cordially helped resolve an issue (ie, Shawarma Alley gave me a free drink once just because I had to wait five minutes longer for an order.) Osmows, prove me wrong.

Just picked up food from there. Absolutely not eatable. Ordered mild falafel wrap with veggies. There wasn’t any veggies in there just falafels and lots of hot sauce. No veggies no garlic sauce no tahini just hot sauce and falafels woww. Was your regular customer but my last 2 ordered spoiled in similar way. Not coming back.

The Beef Shawarma and rice that we got was an entirely different taste. May be it is just me but beef tasted more south Indian than mediterranean. And the rice was not cooked well.

The Chicken shawarma wrap was okay though.

The food is really good and delicious. About dine in, there is very less tables to be seated comfortably therefore takeout recommended.
The portion used to be really filling back in 2021 when I first visited but nowadays the portion has reduced.
Regarding service, the service staff is really friendly and helpful and welcoming even at peak hours.

Ordered two Greek salads with side shawarma chicken. Salads came with no dressing and chicken was over cooked. Tried to call the store to get some dressing but gave up after 30min with no answer. Not the best shawarma in town.

Best shawarma place in town. Been going to this Osmows for 4 years now and it never disappoints. For some reason they always know how to make the falafels just perfectly!

Ordered large shawarma poutine with extra gravy. Very disappointed food was cold and the poutine didn’t have any gravy. Less chess and chicken in the food. Really disappointed

Ok. I really don’t enjoy writing bad reviews of restaurants but I am pretty disappointed. 3 years ago this place used to be so good! But I have no clue what is happening now. I’ve ordered from this location a couple of times in the past year and a half and it is not good. The chicken is bad and dry and just hard (how is it hard!? !) and the fries are just meh. I got the half n half

Amazing shawarma, they are generous with the garlic sauce and it makes them 10x better than any other location I’ve been to. All my friends say that this is the best osmow’s they’ve ever had. Large Chicken on the rocks with medium spice is my go to.

Terrible experience twice in a row.
Tought to give them a second chance but it was even worse.
Wrap was saggy and tasted bitter.
Did not finish, threw it in the garbage.
I don't know how they rate this high.

I have ordered from you guys all year and have loved your shawarma on rice. But the one I just got was terrible. I couldn't even eat all of it cause it was so bad.

Authentic taste and great customer service.there is a one tall Indian girl, she super awesome as every time she prepare my food.

Next time make sure you pack the orders right.specially when order is wrapped and cannot be checked.you know.allergies and stuff.

Food was pretty good but pre-ordering online saved zero time as they refused to make the order until I arrived.

We ordered chicken with rice and a salad. NO SPICE. We got beef covered in spice. Would not take our order by phone and basically disregarded everything we requested. We paid a LOT of money for a very disappointing meal.

I used to come to this osmows all the time for lunch because the food was amazing. The last three times I’ve had chicken on the rocks I had to throw it away it was so bad.
Not sure what happened to the quality but it’s nose dived, at least that’s my experience.

Lousy service and lousy food - you will basically end up with what they want to give you, instead of what you order.
Will go back to my existing favourite, Shawarma Fusion.

Consistently getting great service ordering from them. On my most recent order I had inquired about one of the extra toppings, and they straight up just set some along with my meal to try.

With so many shawarma options in town, this should be your last choice. The food looks good in the pics but no matter what you get, every bite tastes the same as the last. Seasoning and freshness is missing here and the saving grace is having mayo sauce covering it all. The service is always very good and the staff are so friendly.

This spot is worth a try. They serve big portions for affordable rates. Constantly well kept and with great character. Will come visit again.

I've tried many other locations in the KW/Guelph area but I ALWAYS go back to Osmow's. My favourite is Chicken on the Rocks. The price is reasonable for the portion and the sauce + spice they put on top is what really separates Osmow's from other places. The rice is also really good. Half and half is good alternative too.

Absolutely phenomenal customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure another customer was happy and satisfied. Definitely the best shawarma chicken recipe in guelph hands down

Very good service, I went and paid in dimes and quarters and the woman was totally nice and understanding.been here many times this just stood out today. Overall amazing service, they will always come in for the clutch and are really chill and understanding.

I celebrated my PhD today in this great restaurant. Well we passed a fine evening and the venue was clearly one of the reasons for this fruitful event. The crew cooperated in a splendid way, the cuisine was appetizing and my friends were extremely glad. We shall surely return for more events.thanks very much.

I bought 2 wraps, Why they were so thin like half material was there. I have noticed that couple of times now but today was really bad.

Service is bad, owner is pretty rude and charged me 50 cents for a pita on a $50 order, not getting my business again

My neighbors & I have been up since 4am this morning with construction going on during a Pandemic Red alert. The noise from their generator is enough to drive you crazy. This is very inconsiderate & selfish Not thinking about people are under stress during these time. People live dtn. Your noise could be heard all over the Dtn radius. Will not support you ever again. Will cook my own food or order Swiss Chalet.

Delicious. Very quick service and reasonable price. Would recommend.

Update: Since my first visit I have a started a family tradition, a pilgrimage to Osmow’s Shwarma. This has been the best year of my life.

Don’t bother ordering takeout ahead of time and going to pick it up, you’ll wait just as long in the restaurant as the people who walk in off the street. The customer service is non-existent and it’s completely disorganized. It’s far too crowded for covid-19 protocols and nobody seems to know which customers have been served.

The food itself isn’t terrible. The falafel and the chicken shawarma both tasted good. However, everything is completely covered in sauces and dressings and is sopping wet. The salad was way overdressed and almost inedible. The falafel need to be eaten lightning fast to prevent the sauce from making them soggy.

I won’t order from here again

Incredible food and incredible service. For the past 3 or 4 years, my son and I have been going to Osmow's in downtown Guelph once a week or so to get their fantastic chicken shawarma wraps. A few months ago, they badly messed up our order for the first time ever and we only discovered it when we got home. I called and spoke with Shah the store manager and he said he would make it right the next time we were in. Today we went by to pick up some more sharwarma (it had been too long!) and Shah remembered me from 3 months ago and did not charge us for our delicious wraps. That is what I call amazing service! Thank you, Osmow's!

The meals are really tasty and on point. But the staff should be more responsive to EVERYONE who comes in to order food in person and some Skip-The-Dishes couriers appear to get speedier service than others.

10pm on a Tuesday, this place was busy as ever and it is worth it! Shawarma Poutine, absolutely awesome!

I really love the dishes and service, fantastic location very close to my home. The employees are always very nice. Will come back again.
