Othership

Othership quickly became part of a post-pandemic downtown lifestyle based on awareness, intention and most of all well being. The experience is like none other anywhere in the city.

I attended Othership for the first time with a friend today. We did the guided meditation class called Heart Balloon run by Lorna. This was one of the most beautifully profound experiences I have ever participated in. It encapsulated compassion, love, joy and an overall energy of kindness. If you're looking for trying this place out, HIGHLY recommend this specific class. Heart Balloon was powerful in beauty and love all around. Would definitely go back and take this same guided meditation again. Thank you Lorna for an amazing first experience.

Everyone I've had so far has been great. First time with Jef. He came off as a bit pompous. Wasn't expecting that in this environmeny but hey. Maybe just caught him in a bad moment but then other people have experienced this with him too. Not as "in tune" as he'd like to imagine himself.

Would have easily given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the bass-heavy techno-bro music. I tried a free flow class with my husband and we were shocked by how loud and high-energy the music was. Seems like the antithesis of sauna culture. I’ve never been to a place with music like this and it was incredibly off putting. I was told there are quieter classes but they don’t seem to be offered often nor fit my schedule. It’s too bad, I would have easily signed up for a monthly pass then and there but the music just killed any desire to do so. It’s such a beautiful space with lovely staff. It is clearly well thought out but I urge you to reconsider your non-relaxing music choices.

Amazing experience at Othership guided sauna and cold plunge class. It was a very spiritual experience, and the signature scent is my favorite smell I wish they would make some murch and sell the scent, I would totally buy it. The staff are super friendly and nice, the overall experience is wonderful. Just good vibes and feelings of community in general. And a place of non judgment. A great business.

The facilities are well-constructed and conceptually it's a great place with good execution.
After attending my first session and experiencing some difficulties with arranging a second, I took issue with some aspects of the customer service. But once I voiced my concerns, they were quick to own up to them and address them. There's a clear and great effort being made to craft a good experience for their patrons, and they listen to feedback.
I'll be returning soon to try more of their offerings and I think they'll continue to grow and improve.

The guided class was fine. However, I left my water bottle in the change room after the session. I went back the same day to retrieve it and instead of going to look quickly to see if it was where I left it, the staff member started taking my name down and seemed bothered when I asked if she could quickly look for it where I left it. Nonetheless, she looked, couldn’t find it and took my name. I haven’t heard anything since and have a hard time believing another guest stole the water bottle.

I’d always wanted to try an ice-bath, so I signed up for a free flow session. Once inside, you forget you’re in Downtown Toronto. The space was sometimes noisy from people talking, but I could tune that out listening to the music. The person at the front desk was welcoming and showed me what I needed to know before going in for the session. The guides were also helpful with a tour of the areas and helpful tips for the ice bath…had to tap out the first time, but had enough encouragement to try it multiple times. The sauna was hot and humid (as expected lol), but also weirdly comfortable. Different scented essential oils were used in the sauna and I liked them all.
The spaces were clean and it was an overall relaxing experience. I also got a credit to make up for issues earlier in my session. Wasn’t expecting that, but it’s definitely appreciated!

I've taken a few classes at Othership and have always had a great experience. The team is incredibly welcoming and the teachers are able to really lead and guide people through various class types and challenges. I highly recommend this bathhouse if you're looking to try or experience breathwork, sauna, and cold plunges!

Third class here and I love the experience the instructors provide. Such a calming safe space. The sauna is too crowded though and you can only experience the great guided classes during peak busy times. A person’s knee was rubbing against my shoulder behind me throughout.

The class type and instructor also changed without an email notification which surprised me because I had planned to go to the Loving Kindness one and it was what we registered for a couple weeks ago. Instead, it changed to a self care one without any notice and I was confused. Stella is lovely and led a great class but I had registered with the intention to do the other with my partner… would’ve preferred to have known beforehand with the price of each class. She was amazing though and I highly recommend this class to feel a good reset!

I just took Stella's Womxn's class at Adelaide and it was deeply transformative. It was so comfortable to be in the Othership setting around women supporting one another, a sentiment that was felt unanimously. I don't have enough words to convey the feeling, but I hope these classes are a mainstay! Othership is something to experience if you haven't already (whether this class or another).

I’m always open to discuss my experiences whenever possible. Rarely does management/place of business reach out to understand the reasons for my review. After a brief conversation Emily brought forward processes and procedures regarding DEI training. I’m glad this initiative takes place nowadays.

We definitely agreed on a few things, and what we couldn’t agree on is totally normal as long as we held space for both of us to have the conversation.

I’ll try giving it a shot again and see how my experience is, might have been an isolated incident not sure

Place is NOT BIPOC friendly, through email they used Sam instead of my real name which is quite upsetting. My name on the app clearly says Hisham and not Sam so I don’t see why Caroline couldn’t take the effort and be considerate what magic hat was that pulled out from anyways. While checking in I was asked “how do you spell that? ”Excuse me? How many people come in saying (he•sham)

Another incident happened during the quiet free flow when a group of people walked in that made me question how tolerant of the racialized community they really are. Upon entering the sauna they got reminded it’s a quiet session

Quiet right? Double standards based on background since others got to speak freely with no remarks, packed with no regard to personal space at all. The slightest move led to contact with other people which is not what I want when trying to relax. Please don’t suggest other midweek days and times, I have a real job with real hours. Won’t be going here again, not a safe space

My interactions through email remained respectful, yet they had to be dismissive and passive.

I had an incredible experience here. Robbie and team have truly built something special.something I haven't found in NYC, Miami, SF, LA, Austin.

As someone who is working long days and weeks, this is exactly what I needed to unplug and immerse myself in a state of calm. Friendly staff, awesome vibes, and great product.

The best place I’ve had the pleasure of visiting in Toronto. I started my journey with the 2 week intro pass and ended up going nearly every day in that 14 day period. On my first visit, I did a free flow to get a sense for the space and what Othership was all about. Kelsey was working the front desk and immediately created a friendly and welcoming environment. Thomas and Erin were the guides on duty - both of whom were outstanding at creating a safe, knowledgeable, and moving experience. Thomas’s knowledge of the cold combined with Erin’s experience in guiding people through psychedelic experiences was the perfect combination for a therapeutic and unforgettable first visit to the sauna and ice baths. To finish things off in the tea room cuddled up with a hot tea by the fire place was just pure zen. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of exploring a variety of classes offered at the Othership bathhouse and virtual breath work sessions in their breath work app. This environment and space is magnetic and addictive. There is no wellness opportunity I’ve come across with quite the same level of emotional and physical healing. I love this place so much that I joined as a crew-mate this week and will be participating in Othership’s sweat equity program. I can’t say enough great things about this space - in a city that is awful at slowing down, Othership provides presence to the highest degree.

It’s a place unlike any other in this city. Othership truly brought something magical to the urban space. Great place for those that seek transformation, healing, fun, & community

Such a rewarding experience! The ambience, people, amenities. I'm hooked! I was nervous of what to expect, but it's such a welcoming space, and whatever mood you come in with, you always find exactly what it is you're looking for, and leave feeling refreshed and. Unstoppable! (The Breathwork APP is also the best I've ever used). Wish I could give more stars.

This is a great concept. A social sauna + ice tubs. Nothing wakes you up better than a mix of the two. Been here a bunch of times and have met some great people! Would recommend going with a friend or your partner at first as it can be a bit intimidating trying the ice tubs all alone. Love the hot tea after a nice dip in the ice tubs.

The Othership Family has been very welcoming from day one. There is no other experience like cold and hot therapy at Othership. The guided tours are absolutely epic bringing your mind, body and spirit to a whole other level. The free flow is a great way to experience all the elements what Othership has to offer. Incredible facility and a great way to share this space with friends and even make new friends. This journey has so many benefits for your mental, spiritual and physical health. What an amazing space! I’ve been going to Othership bi-weekly for 8 months now and it’s quite literally changed my life. With a combination of free flow and guided classes, i’ve been able to develop a new mindset around a lot of things in life. Thanks to the hot and cold therapy at othership, as well as the amazing community it brings, this amazing place has helped me build relationships, connect with like-minded people and push myself to get better in every aspect of my life. It may sound crazy but once you do it you’ll understand.

What an amazing experience and I have never experienced such a special, energetic, morning, with a special thanks to the team today. Even on the last lap a 3-minute ice bath, a win over myself, and still hyper a few hours later, I would say opening a location soon in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

This place has changed my life in such a beautiful, powerful way. Love the community, love the space, love the hot and the cold and the energy and feeling of belonging that is cultivated here:) highly highly recommended

I just did an inner child run class by Thomas and it was one of the most fun classes I have ever been to at Othership. He not only had the whole class engaged and eager to participate but he also pushed us in a a way that had me outside of my comfort zone. The vibe in there was spectacular tonight and I cant wait to go again next week.

I didn't know what to expect, but this was a phenomenal experience unlike anything I've felt before. I was supported and nurtured through the cold plunges and left feeling grounded. Definitely will be returning.

I went to othership for my first time today. I attended a free flow as I was a curious first timer. Thomas was an excellent guide to have and explained the process wonderfully. I have been feeling very off balance and down and this experience has definitely helped ground me. It is TOTALLY worth the drive in rush hour traffic to Toronto!

I went for the first time, and wow… did it ever go beyond my expectations. The space was so relaxing! The staff were incredibly genuine and friendly! I’ve been going through some very stressful times, the ice bath + sauna combo really helped to bring me back into the moment. It helped me prove to myself how strong my mind truly is. I left feeling refreshed and closer to myself. Thank you Othership!

As a 61 y/o woman I was by far the oldest there. In addition, I was the only one wearing a mask. And no one seemed to care. Saunas aren't usually my thing however the combination of beautiful scents, towel "dances", lights, music and an encouragement to talk and connect with others I easily stayed in there. The ice bath was scary however as a psychotherapist I talk to clients about the benefit of cold water on our vagus nerve so had to try it myself and it was something I can now speak to from personal experience. It absolutely works. Loved the ambiance and sipping tea in the tea lounge with my daughter after our experience.

A phenomenal experience. The staff were welcoming, encouraging and a gentle supportive presence as I cycled through from sauna to ice bath and back again. I felt genuinely so restored by the time I left my first free flow experience. Going back for a class in a couple days and very excited to disconnect and reconnect once again. Thank you for making my Sunday such a lovely day. I will be back many more times, that’s for sure!

This was by far one of the best experiences had st a Toronto establishment in a long time. The space is incredible with an amazing vibe, flow and function. The programming and coordinators had so much intention and passion for our sauna & bath experience. This concept is so unique, innovative and on time for what this city is craving! Will visit again soon!

A great experience - The instructors are great, the design is great, and it is just fun spot! Very tribal and spiritual, and I left feeling great.

Beautiful inviting space + Very friendly staff = a very welcoming atmosphere and vibe. The energy of the place is great. Really cool concept that brings people together in a way geared towards healing the mind and body in a fun way. The sauna + ice bath combo is a must. I went to Othership for the first time and was totally blown away. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted and welcomed into the space. The space is so well designed and it carries a rejuvenating aura.

I did a guided session on release and wasn’t sure what to expect. The session was well organized and beyond simply hot/cold therapy. The intent behind the session really made me feel lighter and I felt less stressed almost immediately after the cold plunge. I plan to incorporate this into my weekly self care routine to help manage stress.

Go in with an open heart and you will find a new love!

What an amazing experience. From the moment you walk in until you leave. Every inch of the space has been thoughtfully designed to create a place of complete zen. The owners/instructors are genuine down to earth people that help make the experience an unforgettable one. You can either do a guided class or go on a self guided journey. The facility boasts a beautiful custom made 45-person sauna. After melting away every ounce of worry in the sauna you take a nice rinse in the showers before stepping into the ice cold tubs. The experience leaves you feeling light and with a newfound clarity in your body mind and soul. Great as groups or even a solo experience. Enjoy!

One of my favourites places in Toronto of all time! Of all time! There is simply nothing like it and I can not say enough good things about this place. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The interior is cool and chic. You get such a sense of peace, accomplishment, contentment after being in an ice bath/sauna combo. So grateful for the people at Othership!

Loved it! We did a cold plunge and a sauna session with my partner and it was amazing. I highly recommend doing a guided session with Jef. The way he facilitated with movement and meditation really helped me to connect with myself and drop into my body even more which is exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to try again.

Thomas is a spiritual guide. He created a safe supported space by which I did something I never thought possible.enduring 4 minutes in a ice cold plunge  pool. He guided our group through the cold plunge pools and the tropical heated sauna  which transports one through a mystic self-transcendental life experience that is transformative, Merci Thomas"

Amazing experience. I was a little nervous, not sure what to expect, but Odeta Kasa led us through a warrior class and I totally felt secure. It’s a one of a kind therapeutic experience, an essential practice for mental and physical well-being. Highly recommend.

Wow! It's not just any other sauna. It's a tastefully done experience that's one of a kind. Sauna Master Thomas takes you on a journey of the 7 senses (Sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell, movement & body). Thomas gives quite the performance like a Matador and his red flag to a bull while coaching you through mind, body and spirit. You come out feeling refreshed like you just hit the reset button. Everyone there is all about good vibes and energy.

My dear friend Thomas invited me to come experience Othership. To be honest I was not fully aware of what to expect. Because of life getting busy-busy, I didn't really took the time to fully see what was about. I trust Thomas and basically I went in blindfolded by my own business. Once again he introduced me to something I am glad I didn't miss. It was a SPECTACULAR experience. It was the best way to STOP my "busy-busy" day and think about me, to honour and respect my body and my mind and how both interact with each other. Thomas said: we don't have mirrors here, because we want you to look at your inside. Brilliant! As you can tell I could go no and on, but in summary I cant wait to come back. On top of everything, the facility is nicely and conveniently located, the owners were very welcoming and warm and you can tell they want you to have a fantastic experience. Thank You

My partner and I had the most incredible experience at Othership! Our facilitator Jef led us through the ice plunge in a beautiful way, playing instruments and guiding us with his voice. We then went in the sauna and he led us through a transformational meditation. We did 3 rounds of plunging and saunaing and I can’t waittt to go back!

This place is an absolute oasis for the mind, body and soul… in less than an hour here, you will transform into an entirely new and better version of yourself…
