Ottawa Derm Centre

I visited the Ottawa Derm Centre for a Skin Cancer Screening Clinic. I was seen by Dr. MacIsaac, who is very nice and was thorough in her examination. The nurses and staff were so friendly and welcoming. They worked quickly and efficiently. The office is beautiful and very clean. I had a lovely experience and will definitely return to ODC in the future.

I arrived to find a rather long line up, shortly after those with appointments were separated from walk in patients. The whole team was very pleasant and extremely organized. Everyone was very professional and courteous. I was in and out with my treatment done in a timely manner.

On Tues. July 11 ’23, I was scheduled for an appointment at the Ottawa Derm Centre on Hunt Club and was looking forward to my initial consult. My OHIP card was requested upon arrival. I was advised that OHIP would be billed for this consult. When I questioned the Receptionist, she advised they were permitted to bill OHIP as it was a medical appointment with a referral from my Doctor.

I was then called into an office thinking that the consult was to begin, however, my assumption was incorrect. This individual was the office manager (Heather) and I was advised that it was not customary to ask questions about any billing within their office nor was it appreciated by their institution to be queried on such matters.

Heather then asked if I was still interested in having my scheduled consultation session. My reply was yes and I returned to the waiting room.

I returned to her office and was informed that she had spoke with the doctor and it was their assumption that I did not have any faith or trust in their office and my scheduled consult was not to be. The office manager then quoted/read from her computer screen that notes indicated I had called in the past to make inquires regarding the costs that are associated with treatments. They could not provide me with any costs over the phone until I presented myself in the office for a consult. I was well aware of these facts.

Following this incident I was left to feel that I was back in school being scolded for asking questions. I was totally dissatisfied with the level of client service and upset following my long trek to this clinic. The end result was that staff did not want to be questioned on any type of billing regarding OHIP/public purse nor provide any details pertaining to costing estimates.

I think that this was a first class facility and all of the staff was very nice and helpful. Would recommend this to others.

From start to finish the service was fantastic.
At reception, I was greeted right away, very friendly and helpful.
Once I went in, nurse Vanessa, who performed the treatment, was simply fantastic. She talked to me about my issues, explained what the options were and the timeline for them.
The Dr then came in to confirm everything, and she was very nice as well. Once confirmed, I agreed to treatment, and within 15 minutes, we were done.
Some of the best service I've had. Almost can't wait for my follow up appointment.

Terrible experience with Nancy, you pay so much money for bad results, the OZ cream package is useless. It’s all commercial I paid over $400. Everywhere else is free consultation. I didn’t know that other places is offering free consultations.but in their place they have charged me $100 consultation fee plus tax. I don’t recommended this place to anyone

My visit with Dr. Chitte was excellent. He was very informative and explained everything to detail that I understood fully. I felt very comfortable and satisfied with the outcome. The clinic as a whole was very friendly, helpful and impressive. I would return for any other procedure without any reservations.

This facility offered everything you could ask for. Professional, immaculate facilities with people to match. Very thorough, Knowledgeable and easy to be with to discuss what you would like to do and the desired result and costs for the procedures.

Very clean, brightly lit, and well kept clinic. Terrific, friendly, outgoing and helpful receptionist. Dr. Chitte is wonderful and very personable. You can tell they all take pride in their workplace and the care of all their clients.

Would NOT recommend. Go elsewhere. I paid over 400 dollars for laser that did nothing. I paid 200 the first round with no results so came back and was told the next round it should be gone and still no results. The technician who was treating me also seemed inexperienced and even used the wrong setting the first time on me leaving me with big blisters.

I had several procedures done at this clinic and the service was exceptional. The options given were thoroughly explained and the care givers were very knowledgeable. My results from Ulthera and Cool Sculpting are amazing.

Dr Bonaparte is amazing and so is all the staff. I always look so forward to my visits. If you are looking for a doctor who is so easy to talk to and who has your best interest at heart, then Dr. Bonaparte is the one to go see.

6 days ago I had a breast reduction with Dr Chitte. Today was my first post op appointment. Dr Chitte was personable, professional and kind. He was able to make me feel very calm about the surgery through all steps from consultation to the 1st post-op. The work he did looks great and is healing well. The surgical team made the day of surgery go very smoothly by being personable, kind and attentive. 100% recommend!

Had my follow up appointment today and was again treated with kindness, patience and respect! I am so happy with the results. Highly recommend!

Although I was in the wrong place the doctor was soo helpful in answering questions and concerns that I had aswell as communicating back to my doctor the right course of path I should be on for the treatment that I require. They made me feel very comfortable and helped me understand my condition

This review is just regarding my year long experience trying to book a breast reduction surgery.

I have found it to be incredibly difficult trying to reach Dr Chitte or his admin. I was referred to him when I was at another clinic and then was not made aware when he left to came to ODC so was calling and leaving messages where he no longer worked. I have tried to book 3 times now and due to either scheduling conflicts on my own behalf or covid have been unsuccessful.

In February surgeries opened back up in Ontario and I was not made aware that I could have tried to book a date at that point. I can only have this surgery done at certain time during the year because of my work/schedule so this was very disappointing. I am trying to book again for August dates but haven’t been able to contact anyone since I started trying about a month ago.

I would love to say this has been a reassuring process, and DrChitte and his admin are both kind but unfortunately this has had a significant impact on my life and I just want the process to be done and over with. I would go back to my other clinic but don’t want to start this process again.

The place is looks clean and they have a lot of services. The staff seem nice and are informative. But every time I call, no one picks up. They didn't even reply to the last email I sent them.which was a week ago. It's very frustrating so I have decided to go elsewhere for services.

My experience at Ottawa Derm Centre has become my go-to example of what good customer service looks like. Literally every person I interacted with at this place went above and beyond. Even the receptionist was so kind and helpful!

Dr. MacIsaac provided an excellent consultation for me, taking the time to explain the benefits and risks of different options. What really impressed me was how quick she was to collaborate and consult with colleagues, including Dr. Bonaparte who ended up doing my surgery. They truly put the patient first, no ego whatsoever! Their willingness to work together is what got me amazing results.

Dr. Bonaparte is an excellent surgeon and did so much to calm my nerves. I called the office with a question after surgery and he was so patient and understanding. I was worried I would be annoying them with silly questions but he reassured me that it was good I called and that my peace of mind was important to them. Seriously, so nice.

Between Dr. Bonaparte’s surgical skills and Dr. MacIsaac’s laser wizardry, I am just blown away by my results. I never expected such a painless experience. I also have to give a shout out to Katrina who is so great at what she does and just a pleasure to interact with. The whole team was just one rockstar after another. I can’t recommend them enough!

Wow! What a great experience from the first point of contact on the phone, to the amazing Nurse Lyne, to checkout and making my next appointments. Professional staff and beautiful medical facility. All necessary precautions are being taken and I felt safe considering the current coved situation.
I have been seeing Nurse Lyne for my Botox and filler for over 7 years and won’t trust my face to anyone else. She is calm, educated, experienced, knowledgeable and kind. She listens to your concerns and never tries to sell you something that you don’t need.
On this particular visit, I asked about some other services such as laser treatments for my face. She never made me feel rushed as she explained the various treatments I should consider. I booked my laser treatment and I’m excited to see the results!

I had a great experience with the Ottawa Derm Centre. They gave an approximate price over the phone which is subject to change once you do your consultation. They have friendly staff, a great location and a great space. I visited with Dr. MacIsaac. She is kind, professional and made me feel at ease by answering all my questions. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

I had a chance to go to Ottawa Derm Centre for the CO2 fractional laser resurfacing for my acne scars. I must say, I had the most wonderful experience. The staff there is experienced, extremely professional and friendly, they made me feel welcome and cared for. By far I had 2 treatments and cannot wait to go back for 3 more. I am extremely happy with the results and will be impatiently waiting for the final results.
Once I am done with all my treatments, I will definitely go back there for other treatments and procedures. Will highly recommend it to all my family members and friends.

ODC is great! I recently got Botox for the first time, and I had Lyne preform the procedure. I felt so comfortable and was not pressured whatsoever. During my follow up appointment, Lyne again took her time with me and let me ask any additional questions I had. Really safe and comfortable place!

I just got Botox done by the amazing and talented RN Lynne. She was very knowledgeable and the only person I trust doing my Botox. She provided me with some skin care samples too, who doesn’t love samples! The clinic itself is absolutely stunning.

I’ve been to a few different places for medical treatments over the years but never had quite an experience like I did at the OttawaDerm Center. I was immediately greeted and brought to a quarantined, cleaned room to see nurse Lyne. Lyne has such an incredible way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable by her professionalism and fun spirit. She genuinely wants to ensure that she understands what brought you there in order to present a curated plan with options. My experience at the Ottawa Derm Center was one where I left feeling heard and happy.

I have seen Nurse Lyne many times for a variety of treatments. She is thoughtful, professional, and extremely well educated in her field. I never feel rushed, she takes her time, and talks you through all the options. I find her very honest - something to be prized in most professions, but especially this one. This, combined with her expertise, and a good eye for detail, is why I trust and highly recommend her for beauty aesthetics.

Amazing staff! I met with Katrina (NP) and Dr. Maclsaac and they were both amazing and friendly. They were able to answer any questions i had and very accommodating. Super clean and modern clinic too! Highly recommended!

The centre is so fortunate to have one of the best injectors in the city! I’ve been Lynne’s patient for years and would strongly recommend her as she does an outstanding job every time. Her knowledge and professionalism is in a class of its own.

Not a great experience. I went in for a consult for ear lobe reconstruction with Dr. Bonaparte (which cost $113). I was told by the admin staff & Dr. B the cost is $1200 & booked the surgery. About 5 minutes after I left the office I got a call from one of the staff saying the price had changed & now would be $1600 not $1200. The price is not the issue - it’s the sketchy dishonesty of the staff that really creeps me out. One minute it’s this price - then the next it’s randomly changed to much higher. I told the staff this made me uncomfortable given that I had just left the office & was told very different information there. I requested they honour the original price that I was quoted. The staff told me she would have to discuss it with Dr. B and get back to me 4-5 days later. Seriously? I was just at the office 5 minutes ago but now that I’m gone they need that long to figure out their mistake? That is not how you treat patients. These are folks expecting you to trust them with your physical health. Ottawa Derm Centre is sorely lacking integrity. Beware.

Update: I got a call from the clinic owner after posting this review and he admitted a mistake had been made. However, he also refused to honour the price I was originally quoted and noted feeling this review was posted to "get a financial reward" and "free services. " Wow, I was lied to by this clinic and then insulted and gaslit when holding them accountable. I already paid $113 for a 5 minute consultation and booked for a $1200 surgery - clearly not free or expected to be. Ottawa Derm Centre is an unethical business that treats patients like garbage. Patients cannot provide informed consent when given incorrect information by health care "professionals" they are expected to trust. It's not the money that is the issue here it's the dishonesty and the owner literally calling to insult me for an error his staff made. Unreal. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Nurse Lynne is the only person I trust with my face. She’s amazing, detail oriented, and thoroughly understands exactly what I’m wanting when I see her. I highly recommend going to see her!

I had a lunch time filler appointment that RN Lyne performed beautifully. The service was relaxing and I went back to work looking rejuvenated- as always! Nurse Lyne provides the best injection services because she’s attentive to her clients needs while upholding integrity and professionalism.

I have been a client of Nurse Lyne for the past couple of years. The Ottawa Derm Centre is the third clinic I have visited in order to continue to see Lyne.
In saying that, it’s obvious that I think she is absolutely fantastic. Lyne is the complete package. Professional, knowledgeable, meticulous and has such a great character that I always leave laughing at something. I’ve never been disappointed in a treatment or her work.

I went in to get started on a tattoo removal. The staff were quick, efficient and answered all of my questions and concerns. The pain was not much worse that getting a tattoo in the first place and recovery less than a week. I’ve got a few more so I’ll definitely be back.

Professional staff members are great. The facility is super clean, welcoming environment and experts are at their best. Thank you, Lyne. Great job, as always.

The first time I visited them they have been quite sympathics but for my follow up I needed another treatment.
I think it's really expensive for the result.
Almost I've never seen a Doctor just assistants.
The 2nd time the assistant was in the hurry (I don't know why the clinic was empty and it was 1: 30pm). So she burned me too much and I think I will have a scare.
She wanted to propose me another treatments but she was forgetting to give me some advises for what I have to do after this one.
I'm a little bit disapointed. I'm going to wait few more weeks to see the results.
