Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites

Hotel with a very large room, with its kitchen, good heating, etc.
Very clean, one of the best I've been to.
Very nice staff.
I didn't give it a 5 because the breakfast (which we had arranged) was weak and not adapted for Europeans, children or vegans.

Location is great, bachelor room was bigger than expected. Nice kitchenette

But the heat was horrendous. It was SO HOT on the 7th floor. In November! Had to leave the balcony door open all night. Turning the thermostat to the coldest setting did nothing. Even the main floor restaurant had to keep their patio door open. It's an old building but could really use an HVAC overhaul

This time my room (s) were super great. All good. No issues. Shame it was for only one night. WiFi is really good. Everything was great. Take my word. Great place.

N’allez surtout pas à cette hôtel! Le manager manque énormément de jugement et de professionnalisme. Nous avons faite affaire à Jonathan et il n’a aucunement le sens du service à la clientèle. Pire expérience en hôtellerie.

Film friendly and accommodating to our requests - been in a few rooms because of the nature of the job - so I can attest to their being very nice rooms in the hotel.

This hotel is excellent, has everything you want and more. Great location 15 minutes away from Chinatown, downtown, parliament hill etc.they have a restaurant inside, underground parking, exercise room etc.reception workers are very warm welcoming great staff.

Room was not cleaned by housekeeping for the 3 days I stayed there despite letting the front desk know. The housekeeping lady only took out trash from the bathroom and left every other area dirty. I did not feel the place was clean and j got bitten by a bug in this premises. The vent made noise continually in the suite I was given room 1103. I feel I did not get value for my money and I was very disappointed by the service I received.

Staff here is very friendly as are the staff at coopers. Room was clean and larger than average for decent price. We stayed in the junior suite which has a full kitchen, living room with pull out couch and large window with a nice view of downtown Ottawa and separate bedroom.

Great location, but that’s about it. Our stove didn’t work, the underground parking was a nightmare to get in and out of, and when we called to ask for a blanket (we needed to use the pull-out), we were told they didn’t have any. This, along with a tiny bathroom (and almost nowhere to put toiletries) made for a frustrating stay.

Great location for exploring. Good amenities. Nice restaurant. Front desk is ALWAYS busy and not available to actually help their guests. My mother needed a band aid for her hand. She waited while 2 staff members answered phone calls and ignored her. Someone standing in front of them-clearly already a guest! Later, while our cab was waiting one of us needed an extra face mask to go out, but there no chance of seeing if front desk could help!

Amazing 1 bedroom suite. Very clean, spacious and cozy.
Love the balcony and ability to open window in bedroom too.
Staff was beyond courteous, helpful and kind. Will definitely be back.

Location and Roomy! This hotel is a great find in a quiet neighbourhood in downtown Ottawa. It offers very spacious rooms for reasonable prices. It is in a great location close to Parliament Hill and the Byward Market and right beside the canal for bike rides or quite walks around town. We were able to bike along the canal to Dow Lake and around behind the Parliament buildings along the Ottawa River. To top it off the staff are wonderful and very helpful. Highly Recommended

We had a wonderful stay at the Ottawa Embassy Hotel and Suites! Our room was large and comfortable. It came with a full fridge, a stove and microwave. We also had a large balcony! The room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The check in and out process was very easy. The location was perfect for us to explore downtown Ottawa, we had plenty of food options around and were very close to Parliament. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Ottawa!

I was not sure how to grade this place - the hotel/suite is clean, the beds very comfortable, the room large, the bathroom small but modern, the restaurant very good, all front desk people friendly but the place is dated (the website does not show the facade of the building) with sofa/couch and kitchen appliances that are from years gone by (the website also does not show that either). I can see how many reviewers would have felt "betrayed" with their expectations. I would return to the Ottawa Embassy - it's close to everything downtown. Ottawa is a city you can bike everywhere and the food scene has matured.
